Vaishya Varna in Guna Milan: Against Every Other Varna
Vaishya belongs to the Moon signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn: a Moon there brings Vaishya to the Varna koota, which is worth 1 of the 36 guna. Across the 11,664 pairings, 5,103 involve Vaishya on at least one side; 42.9% of those score nothing on Varna and 57.1% score the full 1, and their totals average 19.56.
Scores are Varna guna out of 1; a range means lineages grade that case differently. Vaishya scores nothing against Kshatriya, Shudra and Brahmin. The table is not symmetric: with Kshatriya, Shudra and Brahmin it matters whether Vaishya is the bride’s or the groom’s, because Varna is scored in one direction.
Whether your pairing brings Vaishya to the Varna koota depends on the Moon's position at each birth. The Free Kundli Matching tool gives the eight koota scores and the total, which is the headline answer; the Kundali Milan detailed report works the same arithmetic further from your own birth details, and its page lists what it contains.
The rest of the Varna koota is on the Varna page. For the method, the 36 gunas explained and the kundli milan guide. In Hindi: वैश्य वर्ण.
