Shravana Nakshatra: Every Day It Held Sunrise, 2026 and 2027
15 days in 2026 · 14 in 2027 · sunrise at New Delhi
Shravana is the 22nd of the 27 nakshatras. A panchang names a day by the nakshatra running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Shravana was the nakshatra at sunrise in New Delhi on 29 days: 15 in 2026 and 14 in 2027. It never fell between two sunrises without holding one, and twice it held two sunrises in a row, naming two consecutive days (5 June 2026 and 6 June 2026; 13 December 2026 and 14 December 2026).
The muhurta texts put Shravana in the Chara (movable) group, which is the class the muhurat filter reads it by. Its own page, Shravana nakshatra, covers it as a birth star.

By weekday, Shravana held sunrise most often on Sundays and Fridays (6 times) and least on Thursdays (2): Sunday 6, Monday 4, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4, Thursday 2, Friday 6, Saturday 4. Over two years that spread is chance, not a pattern; the weekday and the nakshatra run on unrelated cycles.
Festivals that fell on a Shravana day: Dussehra (20 October 2026), Maha Navami (20 October 2026), Vivah Panchami (14 December 2026) and Vivah Panchami (3 December 2027).
In the cycle Shravana comes after Uttara Ashadha and before Dhanishta; all 27 are on the nakshatra index. For what the five limbs are and how a day’s panchang is read, see reading the panchang and the guide to choosing a day. This page in Hindi: श्रवण नक्षत्र.
