Dhruva Yoga: Every Day It Held Sunrise, 2026 and 2027

14 days in 2026 · 15 in 2027 · sunrise at New Delhi

Dhruva is the 12th of the 27 yogas. A panchang names a day by the yoga running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Dhruva was the yoga at sunrise in New Delhi on 29 days: 14 in 2026 and 15 in 2027. It never fell between two sunrises without holding one, and it never held two sunrises in a row.

Dhruva is not among the nine yogas the muhurat filter rejects, so on its 29 days the yoga is no obstacle; the other four limbs still have to pass.

By weekday, Dhruva held sunrise most often on Fridays (6 times) and least on Saturdays (2): Sunday 5, Monday 5, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 5, Thursday 3, Friday 6, Saturday 2. Over two years that spread is chance, not a pattern; the weekday and the yoga run on unrelated cycles.

Festivals that fell on a Dhruva day: Hanuman Jayanti (2 April 2026), Krishna Janmashtami (24 August 2027), Sharad Purnima (14 October 2027) and Vivah Panchami (3 December 2027).

In the cycle Dhruva comes after Vriddhi and before Vyaghata; all 27 are on the yoga index. For what the five limbs are and how a day’s panchang is read, see reading the panchang and the guide to choosing a day. This page in Hindi: ध्रुव योग.
