Shula is the 9th of the 27 yogas. A panchang names a day by the yoga running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Shula was the yoga at sunrise in New Delhi on 26 days: 13 in 2026 and 13 in 2027. Three times it began after one sunrise and ended before the next, so it named no day at all (between the sunrises of 10 July 2026 and 11 July 2026; 15 April 2027 and 16 April 2027; 1 July 2027 and 2 July 2027), and it never held two sunrises in a row.
Shula is one of the nine yogas the muhurat filter on this site rejects, so a day named Shula is never offered as a muhurat day for any occasion; across the two years that ruled out 26 sunrises.
