Jupiter Retrograde 2030: Dates, Signs and Stations

One window opening in 2030 · 123 days between stations · Scorpio and Libra

Jupiter turns retrograde once in 2030, on 13 March 2030, and turns direct again on 15 July 2030. Counting only the calendar days of 2030, Jupiter is retrograde on 125 of them.

13 March to 15 July, in Scorpio and Libra

Jupiter stations retrograde on 13 March 2030 at 3°23′ Scorpio, in Anuradha, and stations direct on 15 July 2030 at 23°30′ Libra, in Vishakha. Between the two stations it travels back 9.9° of the zodiac over 123 days.

3°23′ Scorpio, the 13 March station, is in Anuradha but within a quarter of a degree of its edge, which is inside the spread between ayanamsas, so a panchang on another ayanamsa may put it in the neighbouring nakshatra. 23°30′ Libra, the 15 July station, is in Vishakha, close enough to a pada edge that the pada depends on the ayanamsa. The arc between them spans 4 padas, from Vishakha pada 2 up to Anuradha pada 1, and Jupiter crosses every degree of it three times: forward before 13 March, backward until 15 July, and forward again afterwards. Jupiter is in a friend's sign in Scorpio and in an enemy's sign in Libra.

That arc crosses a sign boundary, so the 13 March retrograde of 2030 begins in Scorpio and ends in Libra. The day of that backward re-entry is outside the 2026–2028 ingress table, so this page does not give one.

The site’s ingress, nakshatra and conjunction tables run from 2026 to 2028, so for the 2030 window they have nothing to add, and this page adds nothing in their place.

It begins 396 days after the previous Jupiter retrograde began on 10 February 2029, and 272 days after that one ended.

How 2030 Compares With Jupiter’s Other Windows

Across the 7 Jupiter retrogrades the site computes from 2024 to 2031, a window lasts 118 to 123 days between stations and retraces 9.8° to 10.1°. The 2030 window, at 123 days and 9.9°, is the longest of them by length.

Every date here is a day, never a time. A planet at a station is barely moving, so the minute it turns is the least stable figure in the table; for Jupiter in 2030 the day is what two careful sources will agree on.
