Krishna Dwadashi Tithi: Every Day It Held Sunrise, 2026 and 2027

12 days in 2026 · 13 in 2027 · sunrise at New Delhi

Krishna Dwadashi is the 27th of the 30 tithis, the dark fortnight’s 12th. A panchang names a day by the tithi running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Krishna Dwadashi was the tithi at sunrise in New Delhi on 25 days: 12 in 2026 and 13 in 2027. It never fell between two sunrises without holding one, and it never held two sunrises in a row.

Its number, 12, is neither rikta nor among the tithis the muhurat filter favours. A list of the days a tithi held sunrise is not a list of vrat days: an observance tied to a tithi is fixed by its own rule, which the festival pages apply one by one.

By weekday, Krishna Dwadashi held sunrise most often on Mondays and Fridays (5 times) and least on Sundays (1): Sunday 1, Monday 5, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 3, Thursday 4, Friday 5, Saturday 4. Over two years that spread is chance, not a pattern; the weekday and the tithi run on unrelated cycles.

Festivals that fell on a Krishna Dwadashi day: Dhanteras (6 November 2026).

In the cycle Krishna Dwadashi comes after Krishna Ekadashi and before Krishna Trayodashi; all 30 are on the tithi index. For what the five limbs are and how a day’s panchang is read, see reading the panchang and the guide to choosing a day. This page in Hindi: कृष्ण द्वादशी तिथि.
