Krishna Ekadashi Tithi: Every Day It Held Sunrise, 2026 and 2027
11 days in 2026 · 13 in 2027 · sunrise at New Delhi
Krishna Ekadashi is the 26th of the 30 tithis, the dark fortnight’s 11th. A panchang names a day by the tithi running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Krishna Ekadashi was the tithi at sunrise in New Delhi on 24 days: 11 in 2026 and 13 in 2027. Twice it began after one sunrise and ended before the next, so it named no day at all (between the sunrises of 10 July 2026 and 11 July 2026; 29 July 2027 and 30 July 2027), and once it held two sunrises in a row, naming two consecutive days (3 March 2027 and 4 March 2027).
Its number, 11, is among the tithis the muhurat filter favours, so on its 24 days the tithi is no obstacle. A list of the days a tithi held sunrise is not a list of vrat days: an observance tied to a tithi is fixed by its own rule, which the festival pages apply one by one.

By weekday, Krishna Ekadashi held sunrise most often on Sundays and Wednesdays (5 times) and least on Saturdays (1): Sunday 5, Monday 3, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 5, Thursday 4, Friday 3, Saturday 1. Over two years that spread is chance, not a pattern; the weekday and the tithi run on unrelated cycles.
In the cycle Krishna Ekadashi comes after Krishna Dashami and before Krishna Dwadashi; all 30 are on the tithi index. For what the five limbs are and how a day’s panchang is read, see reading the panchang and the guide to choosing a day. This page in Hindi: कृष्ण एकादशी तिथि.
