Krishna Panchami Tithi: Every Day It Held Sunrise, 2026 and 2027

13 days in 2026 · 13 in 2027 · sunrise at New Delhi

Krishna Panchami is the 20th of the 30 tithis, the dark fortnight’s 5th. A panchang names a day by the tithi running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Krishna Panchami was the tithi at sunrise in New Delhi on 26 days: 13 in 2026 and 13 in 2027. It never fell between two sunrises without holding one, and once it held two sunrises in a row, naming two consecutive days (25 April 2027 and 26 April 2027).

Its number, 5, is among the tithis the muhurat filter favours, so on its 26 days the tithi is no obstacle. A list of the days a tithi held sunrise is not a list of vrat days: an observance tied to a tithi is fixed by its own rule, which the festival pages apply one by one.

By weekday, Krishna Panchami held sunrise most often on Thursdays (5 times) and least on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (3): Sunday 4, Monday 3, Tuesday 4, Wednesday 3, Thursday 5, Friday 3, Saturday 4. Over two years that spread is chance, not a pattern; the weekday and the tithi run on unrelated cycles.

In the cycle Krishna Panchami comes after Krishna Chaturthi and before Krishna Shashthi; all 30 are on the tithi index. For what the five limbs are and how a day’s panchang is read, see reading the panchang and the guide to choosing a day. This page in Hindi: कृष्ण पंचमी तिथि.
