Leo Horoscope 2026: Complete Yearly Prediction for Simha Rashi

Published 2026-07-10 | Updated 2026-09-01 | Live Pandit Ji

Four grahas move slowly enough to shape a year for Leo (Simha Rashi), and in 2026 two of them stand in positions that concern Simha more directly than any other rashi. Ketu holds Leo itself — your own sign, the 1st house — from 1 January until 5 December. Saturn holds Pisces, the 8th house counted from Simha, for all twelve months, which is the transit Vedic astrology calls Ashtama Shani. Rahu stands opposite it, in Aquarius, your 7th house of marriage and partnership, for the same eleven months. And Jupiter passes through three rashis: Gemini and your 11th house until 2 June, then Cancer and your 12th, where it is exalted, until 31 October, then Leo and your 1st for the rest of the year — arriving, at the end, on the same rashi Ketu is still standing on. Everything below follows from those four rows, and nothing below is a forecast about a person.

Where the four slow grahas actually are in 2026, counted from Simha Rashi

Every house number below is counted from Leo at build time, and every rashi and date comes from the DE421 ephemeris table in this repository — not typed into this page. The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars are left out on purpose: each of them crosses all twelve rashis inside a year, so on a yearly scale none of them is “in” a house at all.

3 of the four change rashi inside 2026, and Saturn holds one the whole year. That is the whole reason a yearly reading is a different reading rather than a longer monthly one, and it is also the limit of what any yearly reading can say: nothing in this table has a birth time attached to it, so none of it locates an event in one person's life. Rahu and Ketu are the mean node — an analytic formula rather than a measured body — which is why their dates are given as days and never as clock times. Leo yearly reading works the same four grahas through the twelve bhavas, and the yearly hub has the arithmetic behind the table.

Overall Year Outlook for Leo 2026

Jupiter transits Gemini — your 11th house of gains, income and networks — from 1 January until 2 June, and it spends the first ten weeks of that stretch retrograde, turning direct on 11 March. Labhasthana is one of the most productive houses a benefic can occupy, and from Gemini Jupiter's aspects fall on Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius, which counted from Simha are your 3rd house of initiative, your 5th of creativity and children, and your 7th of partnership. That third aspect matters more than the earlier version of this page allowed, because the 7th house is where Rahu is sitting.

On 2 June Jupiter enters Cancer, your 12th house, where it is exalted. A 12th-house transit turns attention to expenditure, foreign lands, retreat and release rather than to visible gain, but the structural detail for Leo is that Cancer stands 5th from Pisces — so from Cancer, Jupiter's 9th aspect falls directly back onto Pisces and onto Saturn in your 8th house. That is the strongest classical mitigation available during Ashtama Shani. It runs from 2 June to 31 October, which is five months and not the whole of the second half: Jupiter leaves Cancer for Leo on 31 October 2026, and at that point the aspect on Saturn lifts. It is not gone from the cycle, though: Jupiter turns retrograde in Leo on 13 December, re-enters Cancer on 25 January 2027, and aspects Saturn again until 26 June 2027 — so Ashtama Shani gets its mitigation back in the new year, for four further full months.

The last two months are the ones no version of this page had. From 31 October, Jupiter is in Leo — on Simha Rashi itself, in the 1st house, where Ketu has been sitting since the start of the year. From Leo, Jupiter's aspects fall on Sagittarius, Aquarius and Aries: your 5th, 7th and 9th houses. Jupiter turns retrograde in Leo on 13 December. Between the ingress and the station, two conjunctions the ephemeris table records fall on your own rashi: Jupiter meets Ketu in Leo on 12 November, and Mars meets Jupiter in Leo on 16 November.

The defining transit of 2026 for Leo is Saturn in Pisces, which is the 8th house counted from Simha Rashi. Vedic astrology has a specific name for this: Ashtama Shani, also called Dhaiya or Ardha Kantaka — a two-and-a-half-year period widely regarded as one of the two most testing Saturn transits, second only to the peak of Sade Sati. Saturn entered Pisces on 29 March 2025 and does not reach Aries until 3 June 2027, so the whole of 2026 falls inside it. It turns retrograde in Pisces on 27 July and direct again on 11 December, which the tradition reads as the same material being gone over a second time rather than as a reversal of it. Saturn left your 7th house in March 2025; the relationship lessons of that period are finished, and a different set of demands has replaced them. Relief from Ashtama Shani comes in instalments rather than at a stroke — after that ingress Shani reverses back into Pisces and your 8th house on 20 October 2027, which is the shape the Leo horoscope for 2027 has to work with.

What Ashtama Shani actually governs is worth stating plainly, because the reputation is worse than the mechanism. The eighth house rules long-standing conditions rather than accidents, joint and inherited money rather than salary, insurance, tax, litigation, and endings that have been postponed. Its usual expression is not catastrophe but attrition — energy that does not return after rest, obligations discovered rather than chosen, and the slow surfacing of things left unresolved. For a sign whose instinct is to project strength, the hardest part is admitting the fatigue early enough to act on it. From Pisces, Saturn's three aspects fall on Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius — your 10th, 2nd and 5th houses — so career, savings and creative output all sit under Saturn's eye even though none of them holds a slow graha.

Ketu on Simha Rashi: the Fact This Page Used to Omit

For eleven months of 2026 Ketu is in Leo. For Simha Rashi that is not a house away from you, it is the janma rashi — the 1st house, the tanu bhava, the house of the body, the self and the first impression. A node on the birth rashi is a well-attested configuration in the classical literature, and Ketu is the half of the axis that the tradition reads as subtraction: where Rahu amplifies and grasps, Ketu is read as detachment, indifference and the loosening of identification with whatever house it occupies. On the 1st house, that means identification with the self as presented — the role, the reputation, the account of yourself you would give to a stranger.

For a rashi whose lord is the Sun and whose whole classical vocabulary is authority, recognition and self-possession, that is the most pointed placement the year contains. The tradition reads Ketu in the 1st as a stretch in which the usual sources of self-definition stop supplying it, and in which the native is read as less interested in being seen than in whatever is actually going on. Whether that lands as relief or as disorientation is not something an ephemeris can say. What it can say is where the graha is, that it is there from 1 January to 5 December, and that Rahu is exactly opposite it in your 7th house for the same span — so the axis runs between self and partner all year, which is the classical configuration for a year in which other people's expectations do a lot of the defining.

Two dated events close the story. On 31 October Jupiter arrives in Leo and joins Ketu on your rashi, and on 12 November the two are in conjunction there. Jupiter with Ketu is Guru-Chandal in the classical vocabulary, the combination read as muddled judgement and as sound advice that feels suspect — and having it on the janma rashi is the least convenient place to have it. Then on 5 December Ketu leaves Leo for Cancer, your 12th house, and Rahu leaves Aquarius for Capricorn, your 6th. The nodes are the mean node, an analytic formula rather than a measured body, which is why 5 December is given as a day and never as a time.

Career and Professional Life

Career for Simha Rashi in 2026 is read from Saturn's aspect rather than from a graha in the karma bhava. The 10th house from Leo is Taurus, and no slow graha enters it at any point in the year. What Taurus does receive is Saturn's 3rd aspect from Pisces, for all twelve months. A slow malefic aspecting the house of visible work is the classical signature for being judged on delivery rather than on presence: it rewards the person who finishes, files and documents, and it is indifferent to charisma. For a sign that is used to being taken at its own valuation, that is the year's real professional adjustment, and it has no start or end date inside 2026 because Saturn never leaves Pisces.

The 11th house of gains is where the year's benefic sits first. Jupiter in Gemini until 2 June is the clearest career-adjacent signature the year offers — the 11th is the house of income, networks, elder siblings and organisations, and a benefic there is read as returns arriving through other people rather than through solitary effort. Jupiter is retrograde in it until 11 March, which the tradition reads as the same ground being covered again. Business owners and independent practitioners have that stretch as the one in which the labhasthana is occupied; after 2 June it is empty for the rest of the year.

From 2 June, exalted Jupiter in Cancer and the 12th house shifts the emphasis from gain to outlay, and specifically toward what happens away from where you are known: the 12th is the house of foreign residence, offshore arrangements and work done out of sight. Consolidation reads better than expansion under it, and the same transit is simultaneously casting its 9th aspect onto Saturn in your 8th, which is the year's one piece of structural relief. Every shared-money arrangement made in it still wants documentation before optimism, because the 8th house is where Saturn is and the 8th is the house of what is held jointly.

From 31 October the benefic is on your own rashi, which is a different kind of support again: the 1st house is the one every other promise in a chart is filtered through, so Jupiter there is read as capacity rather than as opportunity — standing, stamina, the benefit of the doubt. Ketu is on the same rashi until 5 December and the two conjoin on 12 November, so the tradition would read the last two months as a stretch in which capacity and clarity are not the same thing. What none of this settles is whether any particular reader is promoted or hired. A sun-sign or moon-sign page has no birth time, therefore no bhavas of yours and no dasha; it has a twelfth of everybody and four rows of an ephemeris.

Finance: the 8th House, the 11th House and What an Ephemeris Cannot Say

The financial shape of the year follows two rows of the table and one aspect. Saturn in Pisces and your 8th house is a statement about shared money specifically: loans, guarantees, inherited property, insurance, tax positions and anything held jointly with a partner or a sibling. That is the 8th house's own territory, and a slow malefic in it is read as exposure rather than as loss — arrangements that were never examined get examined. Saturn also throws its 7th aspect from Pisces onto Virgo, your 2nd house of accumulated wealth and speech, all year, which the tradition reads as the gap between what is earned and what is actually retained becoming visible.

Jupiter in Gemini and your 11th house until 2 June is the counterweight and the year's clearest income signature: gains through networks, referrals and organisations rather than through solitary effort. From 2 June the exalted 12th-house transit tends to raise outflow — often for reasons that are genuinely worth the money, since the 12th is the house of travel, study, treatment and charity rather than of waste — and it simultaneously puts Jupiter's 9th aspect on Saturn until 31 October. From 31 October Jupiter is on your rashi and its 7th aspect falls on Aquarius, your 7th house, where Rahu is.

This page names no instrument and no month for buying anything, and that is deliberate rather than cautious. An ephemeris contains rashis, degrees and dates; it does not contain asset classes. No graha distinguishes a deposit from a share, a share from a plot of land, or any of them from a borrowing, so no transit can recommend one over another — and a page that tells you which to hold, or how much of it you can afford to lose, has stopped reporting a tradition and started giving financial advice. What is fair to state is the signification: the 2nd house is the house of accumulated wealth, the 11th is the house of gains, the 8th is the house of what is shared and inherited, and in 2026 the 8th is the one with a slow graha in it.

Love and Romance

The romantic reading for Leo in 2026 changes at the root once the nodes are put in the right houses. Rahu is not in your 10th and Ketu is not in your 4th; Rahu is in Aquarius, your 7th house of partnership, and Ketu is on Leo, your 1st. That axis is the classical configuration for a year in which the relationship is where the definition of the self is happening — Rahu on the 7th is read as appetite and amplification directed at the partner and at partnership itself, Ketu on the 1st as a corresponding lack of interest in one's own presentation. The tradition treats that pairing as intense rather than comfortable, and as more likely to produce a reckoning than a romance.

Saturn is the other half of the picture and it is not on the 7th at all. It moved into your 8th house in March 2025 and from Pisces it casts no aspect on Aquarius. What the 8th governs instead is intimacy, secrecy and the parts of a partnership that are never discussed openly, so the year pushes toward the unspoken layer rather than the presentable one. An 8th-house Saturn is read as rewarding depth and as bringing concealment to light; that is a signification, and it is not a prediction about any particular concealment.

The 5th house of romance and creativity is Sagittarius for Simha Rashi, and no slow graha enters it in 2026. It receives Jupiter's 7th aspect from Gemini until 2 June and Jupiter's 5th aspect from Leo from 31 October, with Saturn's 10th aspect on it from Pisces throughout. Creative self-expression, performance and anything that showcases a talent are 5th-house matters, and for a Sun-ruled rashi the tradition treats them as the natural channel rather than as a tactic. What this page will not do is name a month in which anyone meets anyone. An absence stated plainly is stronger than an invented window: nothing in the four rows above locates a meeting, and no page with no birth time on it could.

Marriage and Committed Partnerships

Here the correction changes the section's conclusion, not just its details. The 7th house from Simha Rashi is Aquarius, and Aquarius holds Rahu from 1 January to 5 December 2026. So the earlier claim that Saturn “leaves the seventh untouched” was true of Saturn and false of the year: the marriage house has a node in it for eleven of the twelve months, and it is the node the tradition reads as hunger, unconventionality and unmeasured intensity. The axis lies across Leo and Aquarius all year, so Simha and Kumbha are the only two rashis with a node in the 7th house at all in 2026 — and this is the fact a Leo reader most needs from a yearly page.

Three structural points sit alongside it. Saturn's transit through your 7th house — the classical source of delay in marriage — ended in March 2025, and from Pisces Saturn now aspects your 10th, 2nd and 5th houses while leaving the 7th unaspected, so the specifically Saturnine brake is off. Saturn owns the 7th house for Simha, being the lord of Aquarius, and in 2026 that lord sits in the 8th house — which in traditional reading is the 2nd counted from the 7th, the spouse's wealth and their family's obligations. And the 7th house receives Jupiter's 9th aspect from Gemini until 2 June and Jupiter's 7th aspect from Leo from 31 October, so the greatest benefic is on the marriage house for two separate stretches of the year, with nothing on it in between.

Day-level muhurat cannot be derived from a rashi. It depends on the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana of the specific date and, for a marriage, on both charts — so this page deliberately lists no auspicious dates and no favourable months, and any yearly page that publishes wedding months for a twelfth of the population has invented them. Have a knowledgeable Vedic astrologer select the date against the actual horoscopes. Our daily panchang tool gives the tithi, nakshatra and the day's windows to read alongside a horoscope.

For those already married, the year's two occupied houses are the two that describe a marriage from the outside rather than from the inside: the 7th, which is the partner, and the 8th, which is what the partnership holds jointly. Exalted Jupiter in the 12th between 2 June and 31 October is the configuration the tradition attaches to shared journeys, pilgrimage and philosophical alignment, and it is also the aspect that reaches Saturn in the 8th. On 5 December Rahu leaves the 7th for Capricorn and your 6th, and the axis stops pointing at partnership for the first time in eighteen months.

Health and Vitality

The body part the Kalapurusha assigns to Leo is the heart and upper abdomen, which is what medical astrology in this tradition reads for the sign. The 6th house from Simha Rashi is Capricorn, and it holds no slow graha until Rahu arrives there on 5 December; the 8th house is Pisces, and Saturn holds it all year. The 8th is the house of longevity and of long-standing rather than acute conditions, and Ashtama Shani is the transit under which the tradition reads persistent complaints as the thing to attend to rather than sudden ones. Between 2 June and 31 October exalted Jupiter's 9th aspect falls on that same house, which classical texts read as supporting recovery and diagnosis.

That is the tradition's reading and it is the whole of what this page will say about your body. No month here is a month for anyone to be unwell in, and none is a month to schedule a screening or a procedure in, because no transit has been shown to set the date of an illness or of a recovery, and a sun-sign page has no birth time, no history and no examination behind it. Anything that has been quietly present for more than a few weeks is worth raising with a doctor on the day you notice it rather than on a day an ephemeris picks.

What can be timed is a practice, and the distinction is the one this page keeps: a treatment or a bodily event may not be scheduled from a transit, but an observance may. Surya Namaskar at sunrise is the classical practice for a Sun-ruled rashi and needs no muhurat. Ketu on the 1st house all year is the placement the tradition associates with a flatness that has no external cause, and creative output is the classical counterweight for Simha rather than a treatment for anything — a low mood that persists is worth raising with a doctor, and no sign has ever been shown to produce one.

Education and Intellectual Growth

Education is supported through both halves of 2026, differently, and the difference is a house rather than a grade. Jupiter in Gemini and the 11th house until 2 June favours what the 11th governs — group study, cohorts, credentials that translate into income and examinations taken alongside other people — and its 5th aspect from Gemini falls on Sagittarius, your 5th house, which the tradition associates with retention and with the pleasure of the subject. Jupiter is retrograde in that house until 11 March.

From 2 June, exalted Jupiter in Cancer and the 12th house favours what the 12th governs: study away from home, research, long solitary work and foreign application. Its 9th aspect falls on Pisces and your 8th, where Saturn sits, and the 8th house is the classical home of research-oriented and investigative study — the hidden, the inherited, the thing that has to be dug out. Courses in analysis, forensic work, financial investigation, or the mantra and tantra shastras carry that association from 2 June to 31 October rather than for the whole second half, because the aspect pauses when Jupiter enters Leo — and resumes when Jupiter reverses back into Cancer on 25 January 2027, holding until 26 June 2027.

From 31 October Jupiter is on your rashi and its 9th aspect falls on Aries, your 9th house of higher learning and teachers, for the first time in the year. Whether a particular examination is passed or a particular application accepted is not in any of this, and the honest form of a transit reading is what the tradition reads a placement as rather than an outcome for a reader it has never met.

Travel Opportunities

Travel is read from the 3rd, 9th and 12th houses. For Simha Rashi the 12th is Cancer, and Jupiter reaches it exalted on 2 June — the house of foreign residence and distant places, holding the greatest benefic at maximum dignity, which is as clear a signature for going abroad as the year offers any sign. It holds until 31 October and not beyond, and the 12th house is empty for the last two months of the year. The 9th house is Aries, which holds no slow graha in 2026 and receives Jupiter's 9th aspect only after 31 October; the 9th is the house of the long journey undertaken for its own sake, pilgrimage and study abroad. The 3rd house is Libra, which holds no slow graha and receives Jupiter's 5th aspect from Gemini until 2 June; the 3rd is the house of the short journey.

Pilgrimage to Sun temples — Konark, Suryanar Kovil, Modhera — carries the traditional association for a Sun-ruled rashi, and the association is with the site rather than with a month. This page names no month as favourable or unfavourable for travelling and no day as one to avoid, because nothing in the four rows above says anything about a journey's date.

Why This Page Cannot Read the Sun

Leo is the one rashi the Sun owns, so it is worth being explicit about why your own ruling graha barely appears above. The Sun's circuit is one year, and it spends about 30½ days in each rashi. Over 365 days it therefore visits all twelve houses and the visits cancel: on a yearly scale the Sun is not “in” a house at all, and naming one for it is the same invention as a weekly reading naming a house for Saturn. That is why the table at the top of this page has only the four slow grahas in it, and it is the same argument the yearly horoscope hub makes with the arithmetic: a year is a Jupiter reading, because Jupiter is the graha that covers roughly one rashi in it. The Sun is a monthly reading and the Moon a weekly one.

Two claims this page used to make are retired by that argument and by a count. It said the Sun transits your 10th house in October and November: the 10th from Simha is Taurus, which the Sun crosses in May and June. It said the Sun is in your 9th house in September and October: the 9th is Aries, crossed in April and May. Both were wrong by about five months, and both were then used to grade a calendar. The one solar fact that survives is the solar return, and it is a fact about the sign rather than about a reader: the Sun is in Leo, sidereally, from Aug 17 – Sep 16, which is the date range this site keeps in one place for all twelve rashis.

What can be named with a date is a conjunction, and the ephemeris table lists all sixty of 2026 so that no page can invent a sixty-first. Three of them fall in Cancer and your 12th house during the exalted stretch: Venus meets Jupiter there on 10 June, at 1.55 degrees, which is the only Venus-Jupiter conjunction of the entire year; the Sun meets Jupiter there on 29 July; Mercury meets Jupiter there on 15 August. Two fall on Simha Rashi itself after Jupiter arrives: Ketu on 12 November and Mars on 16 November. A conjunction, in the tradition, is two significations read together rather than an event scheduled for a date — which is why naming five of them is reporting, and grading a month is not.

Remedies Traditionally Prescribed for Simha Rashi

These are the prescriptions the tradition attaches to the Sun, the lord of Simha, and to Saturn in an 8th-house transit. They are given as what the tradition recommends, which is the only status this page claims for them.

  • Water offered to the rising Sun with the Gayatri Mantra or the Aditya Hridayam, which is the traditional strengthening of the lord of your rashi
  • A ghee lamp before a Surya Yantra on Sundays, the vara assigned to Surya
  • Jaggery and wheat fed to cows on Sundays
  • The Shani Beej Mantra — Om Praam Preem Praum Sah Shanaischaraya Namah — or the Hanuman Chalisa on Saturdays if a Shani mantra feels heavy, which matters this year because 2026 falls entirely inside Ashtama Shani for Simha Rashi
  • Donation of black sesame seeds, dark blue or black cloth, mustard oil and iron items on Saturdays, and a mustard-oil lamp under a peepal tree after sunset
  • Service to the elderly or to labourers, which is what the tradition says this transit responds to rather than a purchase
  • Daily creative practice, which is the classical counterweight for a Sun-ruled rashi and needs no muhurat

A ruby is the stone the tradition assigns to the Sun, and a blue sapphire the one assigned to Saturn, and neither should be bought on the strength of a sign. Saturn owns the 6th and 7th houses from Simha and is not a natural benefic for the rashi, so the sapphire in particular can intensify the transit if the birth chart does not support it — a stone is prescribed against a placement, and a placement needs a birth time. Our guides to Saturn's 2026 transit and Shani remedies set out how Dhaiya differs from full Sade Sati.

What This Page Does Not Give You, and Why

There are no fortunate months here and no difficult ones. Over a year the only grahas that go anywhere slowly enough to matter are the four in the table above, and between them they produce five dates in 2026: Jupiter enters Cancer on 2 June and Leo on 31 October, the nodes change rashi on 5 December, and Saturn turns retrograde on 27 July and direct again on 11 December. Jupiter's own stations, 11 March and 13 December, are the sixth and seventh. A list of three fortunate months and three difficult ones does not follow from those dates, or from anything else in the table — it is produced by picking, and picking is not reading. The yearly horoscope hub sets out the arithmetic — how far each graha travels in 365 days — that makes this the case.

The traditional attributions assigned to Simha Rashi are single values rather than lists, and this site keeps them in one place so that no page can quietly grow them: the vara is Sunday, the colour is Gold, the number is 1, and the direction assigned to the rashi is East. That is a convention recorded in classical and later texts, not a measurement, and it does not subdivide — there is no separate direction for career and another for marriage, and no second or third number. For the same four grahas worked through all twelve bhavas, see the Leo yearly reading, and for the sign itself the Simha Rashi traits page.

A yearly page reads four grahas for a twelfth of everybody at once. It has no birth time, so it has no bhavas of yours and no dasha. If you want the same four transits read against your own chart, talk to one of our Vedic astrologers.
