Sagittarius Horoscope 2026: Yearly Predictions for Dhanu Rashi

Four grahas move slowly enough to shape a year for Sagittarius (Dhanu Rashi), and in 2026 three of the four change rashi while one does not. Saturn holds Pisces — the 4th house counted from Dhanu — for all twelve months, which is the transit the tradition calls Kantaka Shani; it turns retrograde there on 27 July and direct again on 11 December. Jupiter, the lord of this rashi, passes through three: Gemini and your 7th house until 2 June, then Cancer and your 8th, where Jupiter is exalted, until 31 October, then Leo and your 9th — the house Jupiter itself owns — for the rest of the year. Rahu holds Aquarius, your 3rd house, until 5 December, with Ketu opposite it in Leo, your 9th. Everything below follows from those four rows, and nothing below is a forecast about a person.

Kantaka Shani: the year's one stationary fact

Saturn does not change rashi in 2026 at all. It entered Pisces on 29 March 2025 and does not enter Aries until 3 June 2027 — a date ingresses.js has to the day, which is why this page no longer says “around mid-2027”. For the whole of 2026, therefore, Shani sits in the 4th house counted from Dhanu Rashi, and Vedic astrology has a specific name for Saturn in the 4th from the Moon: Kantaka Shani, literally the thorn. It is one of the two two-and-a-half-year Dhaiya periods, and the tradition ranks it second in difficulty only to the peak of Sade Sati.

What the 4th house signifies is what Kantaka Shani is read as pressing on: the mother, home and property, vehicles, inner contentment, and the emotional base a person operates from. Its Kaal Purush limb is the chest and the lungs. The characteristic expression the tradition describes is not disaster but unsettledness — a move not chosen, a parent's health becoming a responsibility, friction at home that follows you to work, and a persistent sense of having nowhere to fully rest. The 4th is a kendra, an angular house, and a slow malefic in a kendra is read as weight on a structural part of life rather than on a peripheral one.

Saturn's aspects matter here and they are checkable. Shani casts its special third and tenth aspects as well as the universal seventh, and from Pisces those three fall on Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius. Counted from Dhanu that is your 6th house of competition and debt, your 10th house of profession, and Dhanu Rashi itself. The tenth aspect falling back on your own rashi is the reason the tradition reads a Kantaka Shani year as physically tiring in a way its events alone do not explain. The retrograde stretch from 27 July to 11 December deserves one clarification, because retrogression is where most yearly pages overreach. A retrograde Saturn covers the same arc of Pisces a second time. The tradition reads that as the same material being gone over again rather than as the pressure lifting or reversing, and Saturn stays in the 4th house throughout — the retrogression changes nothing about which bhava is involved.

The nodes: Rahu in the 3rd, Ketu in the 9th

This is the half of the year's sky the earlier version of this page effectively left out. Rahu holds Aquarius from 1 January to 5 December 2026, and Aquarius is the 3rd house counted from Dhanu — the sahaja bhava of courage, self-effort, younger siblings, communication style and short journeys. Ketu sits exactly opposite in Leo, your 9th house of fortune, dharma, the father, higher learning and pilgrimage, for the same eleven months. On 5 December the axis moves one rashi back: Rahu enters Capricorn, your 2nd house of accumulated wealth and speech, and Ketu enters Cancer, your 8th.

The tradition reads the two nodes as opposite faces of one appetite. Rahu in a bhava is read as amplification without measure — hunger for what that house signifies, pursued past the point of satisfaction. Ketu in a bhava is read as its inverse: detachment, an aptitude without appetite, a sense that whatever the house offers is not quite the thing wanted. Rahu in the 3rd for eleven months is therefore the classical picture of restless effort and an appetite for one's own voice; Ketu in the 9th is the classical picture of an uneasy relationship with received teaching, inherited belief and the authority of a guru. For a Dhanu native, whose lord is Guru, the second of those is the more pointed reading of the two.

Two limits on that reading matter more than the reading itself. Rahu and Ketu are the mean node — an analytic formula rather than a measured body — which is why their ingress is given here as a day, 5 December 2026, and never as a clock time. And a sun-sign or moon-sign page has no birth time, so it has no idea which bhava the nodes fall in for you specifically. What is honest is the tradition's reading of a node in a house. What is not honest is a month in which something is expected to happen to you, and the previous version of this page named one. Jupiter, your own lord: the 7th, then the 8th, then the 9th

For Dhanu Rashi the Jupiter row is not one transit among four. Guru is the lord of this rashi, and in 2026 it moves twice. Until 2 June, Jupiter is in Gemini and your 7th house of marriage, partnership and public dealings, and it spends the opening weeks of the year retrograde there, turning direct on 11 March. From 2 June to 31 October, Jupiter is in Cancer and your 8th house — and Cancer is Jupiter's sign of exaltation, so the greatest benefic sits at maximum dignity in the ayu bhava for five months. On 31 October Jupiter enters Leo and your 9th house, the bhagya bhava, which is the house Jupiter owns in the Kaal Purush zodiac and which houses.js records as the strongest of the auspicious houses. It turns retrograde there on 13 December.

Exalted Jupiter in the 8th house is the year's most easily misread row, so it is worth stating the tradition's reading rather than a mood. The 8th is a dusthana, and its significations are longevity, sudden change, inheritance and joint assets, research and the occult. A benefic at full dignity in a dusthana is read classically as the house's difficult significations being carried rather than removed — the traditional phrase is that Guru protects where it cannot prevent. Matters of inheritance, joint family property and succession are what the 8th house governs, and a benefic there is read as such matters reaching documented conclusions instead of staying dormant. That is a signification of the house. It is not a forecast that any of it arrives. The same row comes round a second time in 2027, with a node in the same rashi, and the Sagittarius horoscope for 2027 reads your own lord exalted in the ayu bhava with Ketu beside it rather than alone.

The 9th-house ingress on 31 October is the row that no version of this page previously carried at all, and for a Jupiter-ruled rashi it is the most favourable configuration of the year: the lord of the rashi in the house it owns, in the strongest trine, for the last two months. Two conjunctions fall inside that window. Jupiter meets Ketu in Leo on 12 November — Guru joining the moksha-karaka in the house of dharma, which is as pointed a pairing as the tradition offers on the question of belief. Mars joins Jupiter in Leo on 16 November. Earlier in the year, inside the Cancer stretch, Venus meets Jupiter on 10 June, and that is the only Venus-Jupiter conjunction of the whole of 2026; the Sun meets Jupiter on 29 July and Mercury on 15 August, both in Cancer, both therefore in your 8th house. What a conjunction is, in the tradition, is two significations read together; what it is not is an event scheduled for a date. Career: which houses are actually under a drishti

Career sits in the 10th house, and the 10th from Dhanu is Virgo. No slow graha enters Virgo at any point in 2026 — that is the first thing an honest career section for this rashi has to say, and it is why the earlier claim that Jupiter aspects your career house in the first half of the year was not merely mistimed but structurally impossible. Jupiter's drishtis from Gemini fall on Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius; from Cancer they fall on Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces. Virgo is not among the six at any point in 2026. What does reach Virgo is a drishti: Saturn's seventh aspect from Pisces falls on it for all twelve months. A sustained Shani drishti on the karma bhava is read as the workplace demanding accountability, documentation and endurance rather than brilliance, and that reading holds for the whole year rather than for a quarter of it.

The other half of the career picture is the 3rd house, and there the change is a node rather than a graha. Saturn's transit through Aquarius, which gave Dhanu natives the sustained work ethic of a 3rd-house Shani, ended on 29 March 2025. What occupies that house now is Rahu, until 5 December. The tradition does not read a node as a substitute for Saturn there: Rahu in the 3rd is read as appetite for effort and for one's own voice rather than as capacity for it, which is a different thing and a less reliable one. For natives working in media, writing, marketing, teaching or law, the 3rd-house significations of communication remain the asset they were; what the sky no longer supplies is the reserve of stamina behind them, because Saturn's tenth aspect now falls back on Dhanu Rashi itself.

The practical reading of those two rows together is consolidation rather than launch, and it applies across the year rather than to a chosen quarter. Kantaka Shani is not the transit under which the tradition would extend working capital or commit to a lease that would be hard to exit, and Saturn's aspect on the 6th house from Dhanu — Taurus, the house of competition, debt and workload — is why the pressure of contest stays elevated throughout. Expect the domestic to interrupt the professional: that is what a 4th-house transit means, stated as what the placement is read as rather than as something that will happen to you on a date.

Love, marriage and the 7th house: occupied, then empty

The 7th house from Dhanu is Gemini, and in 2026 it has a genuinely unusual shape that is worth more than any window. Jupiter — your own ruling graha, the greatest benefic — occupies Gemini from 1 January until 2 June, retrograde for the first ten weeks and direct from 11 March. After 2 June, no slow graha enters Gemini again for the rest of the year. So the kalatra bhava holds the best occupant the tradition recognises for five months and then holds nothing at all for seven.

That is a real, checkable fact about your 7th house, and it is the reason the previous version of this page was wrong in a way worth naming. It offered dated windows for proposals and engagements on the basis of a Jupiter aspect on the 7th house. Jupiter does not aspect Gemini in 2026; it sits in Gemini, and then on 2 June it leaves. After that date the kalatra bhava from Dhanu is empty of slow grahas for the remainder of the year, so a yearly reading has no occupancy there to read at all, and any page offering you a wedding window has produced it by picking rather than by counting.

What can be said honestly about marriage timing at this level is short. A muhurat is calculated from the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana at a particular place, and for a wedding it is checked against two birth charts. A rashi cannot produce one. Beyond that, the 4th house is the one under pressure this year, and the 4th governs the household and the mother — so family approval and domestic harmony are exactly the significations Kantaka Shani is read as testing. The tradition's prescription for a tested 4th house is service and steadiness at home rather than persuasion, and that is available on any day.

For those already in a relationship, the readings that follow from the table are these and no others: Jupiter in the 7th until 2 June is the classical benefic occupancy of the partnership house; Saturn in the 4th all year is read as putting the practical questions of household, family and location earlier in a conversation than the romantic ones; and Rahu in the 3rd is read as speech that runs ahead of judgement. None of those is dated to a month, because none of them changes inside one.

Finance: the 2nd house arrives in December

The financial shape of 2026 for Dhanu Rashi follows four rows and no others. Saturn in the 4th house is read as routing money toward the home — repairs, rent, relocation, a parent's care, a vehicle needing replacement — which is expenditure on necessity rather than on growth. The 4th house is the house of property itself, so any transaction in that area sits directly under the year's one immobile graha: the tradition reads a Shani transit there as purchases completing but slowly, and as titles and documentation being where the difficulty surfaces. Thorough legal verification is worth more than any transit reading of it, on any date.

The 2nd house is the dhana bhava, the house of accumulated wealth and of speech, and for Dhanu it is Capricorn. Nothing occupies it for eleven months — and then Rahu enters it on 5 December and stays past the end of the year. That is the one dated change to the financial rows in 2026, and the tradition reads a node arriving in the house of savings as amplification of appetite around what is held rather than as a gain or a loss in it. Saturn's aspects do not reach the 2nd house from Pisces at all, which is worth saying because it is the kind of negative fact that a graded calendar has no way to express.

This page names no instrument and no month for buying anything, and that is deliberate rather than cautious. An ephemeris contains rashis, degrees and dates, and it does not contain asset classes. No graha distinguishes a deposit from a share, so no transit can recommend one over the other, and a page that tells you which to hold has stopped reporting a tradition and started giving financial advice. An earlier version of this post named a sector to invest in, ranked five months as the prime wealth-building phase, and set a window for approaching lenders. None of the three had anything behind it, and all three are gone.

The 8th house does carry a signification worth keeping, because it describes rather than advises: joint assets, inheritance and succession are its business, and exalted Jupiter sits there from 2 June to 31 October. Where such questions exist in a family, the tradition reads a benefic in the 8th as their coming into the open and being settled on paper rather than as their staying dormant. That is what the house means. It is not a prediction that anybody's will is read this year.

Health: what a 4th-house transit actually points at

The Kaal Purush limb assigned to the 4th house is the chest — the heart, the lungs and the stomach lining. That is the region the tradition points at for a native under Kantaka Shani, and pointing at a region is the whole of what it does. Saturn's own signature complaints, wherever it transits, are the ones the tradition attaches to the graha rather than to the house: stiffness in the neck, shoulders, knees and back, and the bones and teeth. Since Saturn's tenth aspect falls back on Dhanu Rashi itself all year, the tradition reads the body as more directly involved for this rashi than for most.

What this page will not do is set a month. No month named anywhere here is a month for anybody to be unwell in, no treatment is dated, no test is scheduled and no efficacy is claimed for any period. A transit has no information about anybody's throat, chest or hearing, and an earlier version of this page attached a window to all three. The time to have something looked at is when you notice it, not when a chart comes round. A practice may be timed — a mantra on a Saturday is a practice — but a treatment or a bodily event may not.

The one thing a 4th-house transit genuinely bears on is a habit rather than a diagnosis, and it is fair to name because habits are the part a reader can act on. A tested emotional base is what the placement describes, and the report natives in this transit usually give is flatness and low motivation rather than acute distress — the optimism that ordinarily comes easily to a Dhanu native becoming harder to reach. That is the transit rather than a change in you, and it is bounded: Saturn leaves Pisces on 3 June 2027. Scheduled rest rather than left-over rest, one part of the home kept quiet and uncluttered, and treating a persistent low mood as something to talk to someone about rather than to outrun — none of those needs a date, and none of them is an astrological instruction.

Remedies traditionally prescribed for Dhanu Rashi

These are the prescriptions the tradition attaches to Jupiter, the lord of Dhanu, and to Saturn in a 4th-house transit. They are given as what the tradition recommends, which is the only status this page claims for them.

• The Shani Beej Mantra — Om Praam Preem Praum Sah Shanaischaraya Namaha — recited 108 times on Saturdays, which the tradition treats as the principal recourse while a Dhaiya period runs
• The Guru Beej Mantra — Om Graam Greem Graum Sah Gurave Namaha — recited on Thursdays, the vara assigned to Guru and the lord of this rashi

• Donation of mustard oil and black sesame on a Saturday evening at a Shani temple

• A sesame-oil lamp lit under a Peepal tree on a Saturday evening
• Service to your mother and to the elders of the household, and a home kept clean and uncluttered — the tradition reads a 4th-house Shani as responding to care of the home far more than to any purchase
• A yellow sapphire, and only after a chart has been read by someone who can see your birth time — a stone is prescribed against a placement, not against a sign

What this page does not give you, and why

There are no fortunate months here and no difficult ones, and the twelve-row calendar that used to close this page has been deleted rather than corrected. Over a year the only grahas that go anywhere slowly enough to matter are the four in the table above, and between them 2026 contains five dates: Jupiter into Cancer on 2 June, Saturn retrograde on 27 July, Jupiter into Leo on 31 October, the nodes changing rashi on 5 December and Saturn direct on 11 December. Twelve graded verdicts do not follow from five dates, or from anything else. They are produced by picking, and picking is not reading. The yearly horoscope hub sets out the arithmetic — how far each graha travels in 365 days — that makes this the case, and it is also why the table above has four rows rather than eight: the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars each cross all twelve rashis inside a year, so on a yearly scale none of them is in a house at all. That is why this page also does not tell you which month Venus favours you in.

There is no list of auspicious dates either, for a separate reason. A muhurat is derived from the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana in effect at a given place and time, and for anything consequential it is verified against the individual birth chart. A rashi on its own cannot yield one, and a yearly horoscope that publishes lucky days for a twelfth of the population has invented them — which matters more than usual during a Dhaiya period, because acting on a fabricated date is precisely the avoidable kind of mistake. The traditional attributions the tradition does assign to Dhanu Rashi are single values rather than lists, and this site keeps them in one place so that no page can quietly grow them: the vara is Thursday, the colour is Purple, the number is 3, and the direction assigned to the rashi is East. That is a convention recorded in classical and later texts, not a measurement, and it does not subdivide — there is no separate direction for career and another for relationships, and no month is luckier than another because of it.
