Scorpio Horoscope 2026: Yearly Predictions for Vrishchika Rashi

Published 2026-07-10 | Updated 2026-09-01 | Live Pandit Ji

Four grahas move slowly enough to shape a year for Scorpio (Vrishchika Rashi), and in 2026 three of the four change rashi while one does not. Saturn holds Pisces — the 5th house counted from Vrishchika — for all twelve months, turning retrograde there on 27 July and direct again on 11 December. Jupiter passes through three rashis: Gemini and your 8th house until 2 June, then Cancer and your 9th, where Jupiter is exalted, until 31 October, then Leo and your 10th for the rest of the year. Ketu holds Leo, your 10th house, until 5 December, with Rahu opposite it in Aquarius, your 4th. Everything below follows from those four rows, and nothing below is a forecast about a person.

Where the four slow grahas actually are in 2026, counted from Vrishchika Rashi

Every house number below is counted from Scorpio at build time, and every rashi and date comes from the DE421 ephemeris table in this repository — not typed into this page. The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars are left out on purpose: each of them crosses all twelve rashis inside a year, so on a yearly scale none of them is “in” a house at all.

The rashi and the house from Scorpio held by Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu during 2026

3 of the four change rashi inside 2026, and Saturn holds one the whole year. That is the whole reason a yearly reading is a different reading rather than a longer monthly one, and it is also the limit of what any yearly reading can say: nothing in this table has a birth time attached to it, so none of it locates an event in one person's life. Rahu and Ketu are the mean node — an analytic formula rather than a measured body — which is why their dates are given as days and never as clock times. Scorpio yearly reading works the same four grahas through the twelve bhavas, and the yearly hub has the arithmetic behind the table.

Saturn in the 5th: the year's one stationary fact

Saturn does not move rashi in 2026 at all. It entered Pisces on 29 March 2025 and does not reach Aries until 3 June 2027, so for Vrishchika Rashi the whole of this year has Shani in the 5th house — the putra bhava, which classical texts read as children, creative output, romance, higher learning and the store of merit carried forward from past action. The two years in which Saturn sat on your 4th house, weighing on home, property and your mother's wellbeing, ended in March 2025. Nothing in 2026 puts that weight back.

What a slow, heavy graha in the 5th is traditionally read as is delay and demand rather than denial. The 5th house is a trikona, one of the auspicious trines, and Saturn in a trine is read as asking for structure in exchange for what the house gives: long study rather than quick study, revised creative work rather than spontaneous creative work, and involvement with children that costs more attention than it did. The retrograde stretch from 27 July to 11 December is not a reversal of any of that. A retrograde Saturn covers the same arc of Pisces a second time, which the tradition reads as the same material being gone over again rather than as different material arriving.

Saturn's aspects are the part of this most pages get wrong, so it is worth naming them precisely. Shani casts its special third and tenth aspects as well as the universal seventh, and from Pisces those three fall on Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius. Counted from Vrishchika, that is your 7th house of marriage and partnership, your 11th house of income and networks, and your 2nd house of savings and speech. Three checkable aspects, each with a rashi attached, and every one of them verifiable by counting on your fingers from the table above. For the wider reading of a Shani transit and the remedies attached to it, see our Shani remedies guide.

The nodes: Ketu in the 10th, Rahu in the 4th

This is the half of the year's sky that the earlier version of this page left out entirely, and for Scorpio it is not a minor omission. Ketu holds Leo from 1 January to 5 December 2026, and Leo is the 10th house counted from Vrishchika — the karma bhava, the house of visible work, authority and public standing. Rahu sits exactly opposite in Aquarius, your 4th house of home, property, mother and inner contentment, for the same eleven months. On 5 December the axis shifts: Rahu enters Capricorn, your 3rd house, and Ketu enters Cancer, your 9th.

The tradition reads the two nodes as opposites of the same appetite. Rahu in a bhava is read as amplification without measure — hunger for what that house signifies, and a tendency to pursue it past the point of satisfaction. Ketu in a bhava is read as the reverse: detachment, dissatisfaction, a sense that whatever the house offers is not the thing wanted, and an aptitude in it that comes without appetite for it. Ketu in the karma bhava for eleven months is therefore the classical picture of competence that does not feel like ambition, and Rahu in the 4th is the classical picture of restlessness about where and how you live.

Two limits on that reading matter more than the reading. Rahu and Ketu are the mean node, an analytic formula rather than a body anyone measures, which is why their ingress is given here as a day — 5 December 2026 — and never as a clock time. And a sun-sign or moon-sign page has no birth time, so it has no idea which bhava the nodes occupy in your own chart. What is honest is what the tradition reads a node in a house as. What is not honest is a month in which something is expected to happen to you. The wider transit is covered in our Rahu-Ketu 2026 transit guide.

Career: Jupiter reaches the karma bhava on 31 October

Scorpio's career story in 2026 has three chapters and they are separated by dates rather than by moods. Until 2 June, Jupiter is in Gemini and your 8th house — the ayu bhava, which classical texts read as research, inheritance, the occult, and sudden change. Jupiter spends the opening weeks of the year retrograde there and turns direct on 11 March. From 2 June to 31 October, Jupiter is in Cancer and your 9th house of fortune, dharma, teachers and long journeys, and Cancer is Jupiter's own sign of exaltation, so the greatest benefic is at maximum dignity in the strongest of the auspicious houses for five months. On 31 October Jupiter enters Leo and your 10th house of career, where it turns retrograde on 13 December.

That last ingress is the year's most consequential event for Vrishchika Rashi, and it is the one no version of this page previously mentioned. Jupiter arrives in the karma bhava on 31 October and finds Ketu already there. The two conjoin in Leo on 12 November — Guru with the moksha-karaka in the house of worldly work, which is about as pointed a combination as the tradition offers for the question of what work is for. Four days later, on 16 November, Mars joins Jupiter in Leo, and Mars is the lord of Vrishchika itself. Three grahas, one house, three dates from the ephemeris. What a conjunction is, in the tradition, is two significations read together; what it is not is an event scheduled for a date.

Three conjunctions fall inside the 9th-house stretch and are worth naming for the same reason. Venus meets Jupiter on 10 June in Cancer, eight days after Jupiter's ingress, and it is the only Venus-Jupiter conjunction of the whole year. The Sun meets Jupiter on 29 July in Cancer, and Mercury meets Jupiter on 15 August in the same rashi. All four dates sit in the bhagya bhava counted from your rashi, which the tradition associates with teachers, publication, travel and the father. Our Jupiter transit 2026 guide works the same two ingresses through all twelve rashis.

Saturn in the 5th does not obstruct career, but it changes what work costs. The 5th house is where a steady stream of ideas comes from, and a slow graha there is read as slowing that stream and improving the judgement applied to it — more revision, less spontaneity. For natives working in design, writing, teaching, entertainment or research, that is the year's texture rather than its verdict. Saturn's seventh aspect on Virgo, your 11th house, and its third on Taurus, your 7th, are the reason business partnerships and undocumented arrangements are what a 2026 reading points at: agreements get renegotiated under a Shani drishti, silent partners become vocal, and anything unwritten becomes a problem. That is the tradition's reading of the placement, stated as a reading and not as a schedule.

Children, creativity and education: the 5th house

This is the defining theme of the year for Vrishchika Rashi, because it is the house the one immobile graha occupies. The 5th is the putra bhava, and its significations are children, creativity and the arts, romance and higher learning; its karaka is Jupiter itself, the Putra Karaka. Saturn transiting it is read as putting all four under a demand for patience and structure. Matters concerning children ask for more involvement than they did; a child's education or conduct is where the tradition says the attention goes.

There is a limit to that reading and it is worth stating rather than blurring. The 5th house signifies children, and a transit through it says nothing whatever about anybody's body or about the timing of a bodily event. No transit has ever been shown to set such a timing, and nobody has assembled the record that a page claiming to would be relying on. So this page names no window of any kind for a bodily event, sets no month for anybody to be unwell in, and attaches no period to the efficacy of any treatment. What the tradition offers on this house is a signification. A signification describes; it does not schedule.

For students and researchers the placement reads more usefully. Saturn in the 5th suits long, structured study — a degree, a professional qualification, a body of research — and is read as penalising the compressed kind. Jupiter reinforces that from a different direction for five months: from 2 June to 31 October the exalted Guru sits in your 9th house, which is the other house of higher learning, of teachers and of dharma, and which houses.js records as the strongest of the auspicious houses. Two houses of learning, one occupied by a graha that asks for slow work and one by a graha at full dignity, with a date on the change. That is a reading. A ranked list of the best months for an application is not. For the classical detail of the house itself, see our 5th house guide.

Property and home matters sit under the 4th house, and in 2026 the 4th house from Vrishchika is Aquarius, which holds Rahu until 5 December. Saturn's two-and-a-half years there ended in March 2025, so the graha that drove the purchases, disputes and relocations has gone; what replaces it is a node, and a node is read as appetite rather than as weight. The practical shape of that is restlessness about where you live rather than pressure on it. Legal due diligence on any transaction is worth more than any transit reading of it, and that is true on every day of every year.

Love, marriage and the 7th house: Taurus is empty

Here is a fact about 2026 that is worth more than any window, precisely because it is an absence. The 7th house from Vrishchika is Taurus, and not one of the four slow grahas enters Taurus at any point in 2026. Jupiter goes Gemini, Cancer, Leo; Saturn stays in Pisces and does not reach Aries until 3 June 2027, still a rashi short; the nodes hold the Aquarius-Leo axis and then the Capricorn-Cancer one. Taurus receives nothing. So a yearly reading for Scorpio has no occupancy in the kalatra bhava to read at all, and any page that offers you a window for a proposal or a wedding this year has produced it by picking. The honest form of an absence is that nothing has been shown.

What can be said about the 7th house is the aspect, and it is checkable. Saturn's third aspect from Pisces falls on Taurus for the whole of 2026, which the tradition reads as a sustained, sober drishti on partnership — the significations of the 7th being examined rather than occupied. A drishti is a weaker statement than an occupation, and this page is not going to inflate it into one. Marriage timing is the classic case where the difference between a yearly page and a chart reading is total: a muhurat is calculated from the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana at a particular place, and cross-checked against two birth charts. A rashi cannot produce one.

The 5th house of romance is a different matter, and there the reading is straightforward. Saturn in the 5th is traditionally associated with romance that assesses before it enjoys — less spontaneity, more weighing of a relationship's future, and an attraction toward people more settled than oneself. Age-gap pairings and connections with someone visibly more established are the classical note under a 5th-house Shani. For those already married, the same placement is read as attention shifting toward the household's shared projects rather than toward its spark, which is a description of a tendency and not a prediction about a marriage.

Finance: which houses are actually involved

The financial shape of the year follows the same four rows and no others. Saturn in the 5th is read as routing money toward capability rather than toward assets — fees, coaching, a qualification, the cost of a child's schooling — which reads as expenditure on a statement without being loss. Saturn's tenth aspect from Pisces falls on Sagittarius, your 2nd house of accumulated wealth and speech, and its seventh on Virgo, your 11th house of realised gains, so both sides of the ledger sit under a Shani drishti for all twelve months. That is the whole of what the slow grahas say about your money in 2026.

The 8th house holds Jupiter until 2 June, and the 8th is where classical texts place inheritance and joint family assets alongside longevity and sudden change. A benefic there is traditionally read as matters of that kind reaching documented conclusions rather than staying dormant. That is a signification of the house, stated as one. It is not a forecast that an inheritance arrives, and it carries no date beyond the ingress that ends it.

This page names no instrument and no month for buying anything, and the omission is the point. An ephemeris contains rashis, degrees and dates, and it does not contain asset classes. No graha distinguishes a deposit from a share, so no transit can recommend one over the other, and a page that tells you which to hold has stopped reporting a tradition and started giving financial advice. An earlier version of this post named two asset classes as the best for Scorpio in 2026 and set a quarter for reducing debt. Neither claim had anything behind it, and both are gone.

Health: what a 5th-house transit actually points at

The Kaal Purush limb assigned to the 5th house is the upper abdomen — the stomach, liver, gallbladder and the heart region. That is the region the tradition points at for a native under a 5th-house Shani, and pointing at a region is the whole of what it does. This page sets no month for anyone to be unwell in, names no treatment and no test, and attaches no period to the efficacy of either. A transit has no information about anybody's digestion. The time to have something looked at is when you notice it, not when a chart comes round.

What the 5th house does carry that is a habit rather than a diagnosis is worth naming, because habits are the part a reader can act on. Long hours and irregular meals are the ordinary cost of a year in which creative and educational work needs more revision than usual, and that cost is real whether or not any graha is involved. Rest that is scheduled rather than left over is a decision available on any day of the year, and nothing about which day is written in the sky.

The same applies to the water-element practices Scorpio is traditionally associated with as a fixed water rashi under a fiery lord. Swimming, unhurried bathing and time near water are named in the tradition as suited to the constitution; naming them is different from promising a result from them, and an earlier version of this page promised one. Mental load runs high in a year whose one immobile graha sits in a trine; a peaceful, uncluttered home is a reasonable response to that, and it is a household decision rather than an astrological instruction.

The 5th house and purva punya

The 5th house is where classical texts place purva punya — the store of merit carried forward from past action — and that is why a Shani transit through it is read as a year of accounting rather than of accumulation. Saturn is the graha of consequence, and in the house of what has already been earned it is traditionally read as turning attention toward what actually exists rather than toward what is hoped for. Practice done consistently across the year is what this placement is said to reward, which suits Shani rather better than it suits the Scorpio temperament.

Two other rows support that reading with dates attached. The exalted Guru in your 9th house from 2 June to 31 October puts the greatest benefic, at full dignity, in the bhava of dharma, teachers and pilgrimage — the classical position for study under someone rather than study alone. And Ketu in your 10th house until 5 December is read as detachment from the fruits of visible work, which is the same argument the tradition makes about karma reaching the 5th house from the other side. When Jupiter joins Ketu in Leo on 12 November, those two readings sit in one rashi for the first time in the year. Guru reaches your 9th house again in 2027 with Ketu already standing in it, and the Scorpio horoscope for 2027 reads that as the karaka of the guru in the house of the guru, in company that makes counsel harder to weigh.

Many Vrishchika natives also report a pull back toward roots in a year like this one — ancestral places, family observances, the lineage a practice came down through. With Rahu in the 4th house of home and mother until 5 December, the tradition would read that pull as amplified rather than settled: sought after, not necessarily found. Pitru observances are the traditional response and they need no transit to justify them.

Remedies traditionally prescribed for Vrishchika Rashi

These are the prescriptions the tradition attaches to Mars, the lord of Vrishchika, and to Saturn in a 5th-house transit. They are given as what the tradition recommends, which is the only status this page claims for them.

  • The Mangal Beej Mantra — Om Kraam Kreem Kraum Sah Bhaumaya Namaha — recited 108 times on Tuesdays, the vara assigned to Mangal
  • The Hanuman Chalisa recited daily, the conventional recourse for both Mangal and a difficult Shani
  • Water offered to a Shivalinga on Mondays, the vara assigned to Chandra, which is debilitated in this rashi
  • Donation of black urad dal, black sesame and mustard oil on Saturdays, the vara assigned to Shani
  • A sesame-oil lamp lit under a Peepal tree on a Saturday evening
  • A red coral, and only after a chart has been read by someone who can see your birth time — a stone is prescribed against a placement, not against a sign
  • Ten minutes of silent sitting before sleep, which needs no muhurat and no date
  • Pitru Tarpan on Amavasya, the traditional observance for the ancestors

What this page does not give you, and why

There are no fortunate months here and no difficult ones. Over a year the only grahas that go anywhere slowly enough to matter are the four in the table above, and between them 2026 contains five dates: Jupiter into Cancer on 2 June, Saturn retrograde on 27 July, Jupiter into Leo on 31 October, the nodes changing rashi on 5 December and Saturn direct on 11 December. A list of four good months and three bad ones does not follow from those five dates, or from anything else. It is produced by picking, and picking is not reading. The yearly horoscope hub sets out the arithmetic — how far each graha travels in 365 days — that makes this the case, and it is also why the table above has four rows rather than eight: the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars each cross all twelve rashis inside a year, so on a yearly scale none of them is in a house at all.

There is no list of auspicious dates either, for a different reason. A muhurat is derived from the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana in effect at a given place and time, and for anything consequential it is checked against the individual birth chart. A rashi cannot produce one by itself. For anything that genuinely needs a date — a registration, a wedding, a new venture, a medical procedure — have the muhurat chosen against your own chart. Our daily panchang tool gives the tithi, nakshatra and the day's shubh and ashubh windows for an astrologer to read alongside your horoscope.

The traditional attributions the tradition does assign to Vrishchika Rashi are single values rather than lists, and this site keeps them in one place so that no page can quietly grow them: the vara is Tuesday, the colour is Maroon, the number is 9, and the direction assigned to the rashi is North. That is a convention recorded in classical and later texts, not a measurement, and it does not subdivide — there is no separate direction for career and another for relationships, and no month is luckier than another because of it. For the same four grahas worked through all twelve bhavas, see the Scorpio yearly reading, for the karma bhava that Ketu and then Jupiter occupy this year the 10th house guide, and for the sign itself the Vrishchika Rashi traits page.

A yearly page reads four grahas for a twelfth of everybody at once. It has no birth time, so it has no bhavas of yours and no dasha. If you want the same four transits read against your own chart, talk to one of our Vedic astrologers.
