Shobhana Yoga: Every Day It Held Sunrise, 2026 and 2027
15 days in 2026 · 13 in 2027 · sunrise at New Delhi
Shobhana is the 5th of the 27 yogas. A panchang names a day by the yoga running at sunrise, and between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2027 Shobhana was the yoga at sunrise in New Delhi on 28 days: 15 in 2026 and 13 in 2027. Twice it began after one sunrise and ended before the next, so it named no day at all (between the sunrises of 17 March 2027 and 18 March 2027; 26 November 2027 and 27 November 2027), and once it held two sunrises in a row, naming two consecutive days (11 September 2027 and 12 September 2027).
Shobhana is not among the nine yogas the muhurat filter rejects, so on its 28 days the yoga is no obstacle; the other four limbs still have to pass.

By weekday, Shobhana held sunrise most often on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (5 times) and least on Wednesdays (2): Sunday 4, Monday 5, Tuesday 5, Wednesday 2, Thursday 5, Friday 3, Saturday 4. Over two years that spread is chance, not a pattern; the weekday and the yoga run on unrelated cycles.
Festivals that fell on a Shobhana day: Ram Navami (26 March 2026), Govardhan Puja (10 November 2026), Sakat Chauth (25 January 2027), Akshaya Tritiya (8 May 2027), Raksha Bandhan (17 August 2027) and Durga Ashtami (7 October 2027).
In the cycle Shobhana comes after Saubhagya and before Atiganda; all 27 are on the yoga index. For what the five limbs are and how a day’s panchang is read, see reading the panchang and the guide to choosing a day. This page in Hindi: शोभन योग.
