Saturn Retrograde, 2024 to 2031: Every Window
Saturn orbits outside the Earth’s orbit. Its retrograde comes around opposition, when the Earth, moving faster on the inside track, overtakes it, and Saturn appears to slide backwards against the stars until the angle changes. That is why a Saturn retrograde happens with the Sun on the far side of the sky from it.
Between 2024 and 2031 the site computes 8 Saturn retrogrades. Each lasts 134 to 139 days between its two stations and retraces 6.8° to 7.0° of the zodiac, and one begins every 378 to 380 days.
| Turns retrograde | Turns direct | Days | Signs | Arc |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30 June 2024 | 15 November 2024 | 139 | Aquarius | 6.8° |
| 13 July 2025 | 28 November 2025 | 138 | Pisces | 6.8° |
| 27 July 2026 | 11 December 2026 | 137 | Pisces | 6.8° |
| 9 August 2027 | 24 December 2027 | 136 | Aries → Pisces | 6.9° |
| 23 August 2028 | 5 January 2029 | 136 | Aries | 6.9° |
| 6 September 2029 | 19 January 2030 | 135 | Taurus → Aries | 6.9° |
| 21 September 2030 | 2 February 2031 | 134 | Taurus | 6.9° |
| 5 October 2031 | 16 February 2032 | 134 | Taurus | 7.0° |
The dates are days, not times. Stations from 2026 and 2027 are taken from the JPL DE421 table where the two disagree; outside those years the site’s own series stands, and a station falling near midnight can be dated a day apart by another source.
