The part the earlier version of this page got wrong is worth stating plainly, because it is the difference between a reading and a rounded one: that configuration is five months long, not seven. Jupiter leaves Cancer for Leo on 31 October 2026, and it turns retrograde in Leo on 13 December. So the exalted stretch on your rashi is 2 June to 31 October, and the last two months of the year have Jupiter one house further on, in Leo and your 2nd house of accumulated wealth, speech and family — where Ketu is already sitting until 5 December. Saturn is the year's one stationary fact. It holds Pisces, your 9th house of dharma, teachers and long journeys, from January to December, having left your 8th house in March 2025 — which means the Ashtama Shani stretch that made the two preceding years heavy for Karka Rashi is finished, and the Saturn theme of 2026 is earned conviction rather than crisis. From Pisces, Saturn's three aspects fall on Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius, which counted from Cancer are your 11th, 3rd and 6th houses. Two structural points follow that are stronger content than a window would have been. Joint arrangements are the thing this configuration puts under a light, and the axis shift on 5 December moves Rahu onto the partnership house itself. Documentation before optimism is the reading; a prediction about anybody's marriage is not.

Family and Domestic Life

Family carries particular weight for a Moon-ruled rashi, and the 4th house from Cancer is Libra. It holds no slow graha in 2026, but it does receive Jupiter's 5th aspect from Gemini for the first five months of the year — one of the few clearly constructive uses of a 12th-house Jupiter, and the classical signature for harmony at home, work on the house itself, and the significations of the mother and maternal line. The tradition reads Jupiter's 5th aspect onto that house — available between 2 June and 31 October, from Jupiter's own exaltation — as the most supportive configuration the 5th house can receive without a graha entering it. That is the whole of what a page at this scale can say. There is no window here for a pregnancy, no muhurat for one, and no claim about anybody's body, because a transit has never been shown to set the date of a bodily event and a page with no birth time on it is in no position to try. Those are questions for a chart read by someone who can see your birth details, and for a doctor.

Ketu in Leo and the 2nd house for eleven months is the other family row, since the 2nd is the kutumba bhava — the house of the household as an economic unit, and of inherited habit as much as inherited money. A node there is read as unsettling assumptions about what the family owes and is owed. On 31 October Jupiter joins Ketu in Leo, and on 12 November the two are in conjunction there. Jupiter with Ketu is Guru-Chandal in the classical vocabulary, the configuration that muddles judgement and makes sound advice feel suspect; it is a signification read from a dated conjunction the ephemeris table lists, not an event scheduled to happen to you.

Health Predictions

The body part the Kalapurusha assigns to Cancer is the chest and stomach, which is what medical astrology in this tradition reads for the sign, and the 6th house from Karka Rashi is Sagittarius. Sagittarius holds no slow graha in 2026, and it receives Saturn's 10th aspect from Pisces for the whole year. A malefic in an upachaya relation to the house of disease is the classical position for wearing down long-standing complaints rather than for producing new ones, and exalted Jupiter on the 1st house between 2 June and 31 October is read as protective of the body, the reputation and the judgement at once.

That is the tradition's reading and it is the whole of what this page will say about your body. No month here is a month for anyone to be unwell in, and none is a month to schedule a check-up or a procedure in, because no transit has been shown to set the date of an illness or of a recovery, and a sun-sign page has no birth time, no history and no examination behind it. Consistent treatment is what changes a chronic condition, on whatever schedule the person treating you sets.

What is fair to name is the difference between a transit and a habit. The 8th-house Saturn stretch that ended in March 2025 is the one classical texts associate with existential weight, and the habit of bracing for the next blow routinely outlasts the transit that created it — that is a description of a pattern, not a diagnosis, and a low mood that persists is worth raising with a doctor rather than with an ephemeris. Education splits along the same 2 June line, and the two halves favour different things rather than one being good and the other bad. Until 2 June, Jupiter in Gemini and the 12th house is the classical signature for foreign application, distant residence and quiet preparation — the 12th is the house of what happens away from where you are known — and Jupiter is retrograde in it until 11 March, which the tradition reads as material being covered a second time.

From 2 June, exalted Jupiter on Cancer casts its 9th aspect onto Pisces, which is your 9th house of higher learning, teachers and dharma, and where Saturn is sitting all year. Guru aspecting the 9th house from its own exaltation is the combination classical texts most often name for study that is guided rather than solitary, and Saturn in the same house is read as the discipline that makes it hold. Both grahas bear on the 9th house at once between 2 June and 31 October — Saturn in it, Jupiter aspecting it. From 31 October, with Jupiter in Leo, that aspect lifts and Jupiter's 9th falls on Aries and your 10th instead — the year's learning turning outward into work. That handover is not permanent, and the reversal falls just outside this year: Jupiter turns retrograde in Leo on 13 December and returns to Cancer on 25 January 2027, which puts the 9th aspect back on Pisces until 26 June 2027.

Research and postgraduate work sit under the 8th and 12th houses in the classical scheme rather than under the 9th, and for Cancer both of those are occupied or aspected this year: Rahu in Aquarius and the 8th until 5 December, and Jupiter in the 12th for the first five months. That is the structural reading. Whether a particular thesis is accepted is not in it.

Travel Opportunities

Travel is read from the 3rd, 9th and 12th houses, and for Karka Rashi all three have something in them this year. The 12th is Gemini, and it holds Jupiter until 2 June — the classical signature for foreign lands and distant residence, and the reason the first five months read as the applying-and-arranging half rather than the arriving half. The 9th is Pisces, which holds Saturn for all twelve months, and the 9th is the house of the long journey undertaken for its own sake: pilgrimage, study abroad, the trip that changes what you think rather than where you sleep. The 3rd is Virgo, which holds no slow graha and receives Saturn's 7th aspect from Pisces all year, and the 3rd is the house of the short journey.

Between 2 June and 31 October, exalted Jupiter's 9th aspect falls on that same 9th house, which is the year's strongest configuration for anything the 9th governs. Pilgrimage to water-related sacred sites — Varanasi, Rameshwaram, Haridwar — carries the traditional association for a Moon-ruled rashi, and the association is with the site rather than with a date. This page names no month as favourable or unfavourable for travelling and no day as one to avoid, because nothing in the four rows above says anything about a journey's date, and a page that tells you which days not to travel on has invented a rule.

Why This Page Cannot Read the Moon

Cancer is the one rashi the Moon owns, so it is worth being explicit about why your own ruling graha barely appears above. The Moon crosses all twelve rashis in 27.32 days, spending about 2¼ days in each. On a yearly scale it is therefore not “in” any house at all — it is in every house, twelve or thirteen times over, and the effects cancel. That is why the table at the top of this page has only the four slow grahas in it, and it is the same argument the yearly horoscope hub makes with the arithmetic: a year is a Jupiter reading, because Jupiter is the graha that covers roughly one rashi in it. The Moon is a weekly and a daily reading, and the Sun a monthly one.

The same objection retires several claims this page used to make. Full Moons in your 7th house, Moon-Jupiter conjunctions as auspicious days for starting things, and the Moon's passage through your birth nakshatras were all offered here as guidance, and none of them can be got from a yearly frame; two of them were not checkable at all. What can be checked is a conjunction with a date on it, and the ephemeris table lists all sixty of 2026 so that no page can invent a sixty-first. Three of them fall on Karka Rashi itself during the exalted stretch: Venus meets Jupiter in Cancer on 10 June, at 1.55 degrees — the only Venus-Jupiter conjunction of the whole year, and it falls eight days after Jupiter's ingress into your sign. The Sun meets Jupiter in Cancer on 29 July. Mercury meets Jupiter in Cancer on 15 August. Two more fall in Leo and your 2nd house after Jupiter moves on: Ketu on 12 November and Mars on 16 November.

A conjunction, in the tradition, is two significations read together rather than an event scheduled for a date. Naming five of them with dates is reporting; grading a month is not, and neither is deciding on your behalf what to begin on a particular day.

Remedies Traditionally Prescribed for Karka Rashi

These are the prescriptions the tradition attaches to the Moon, the lord of Karka, and to Saturn in a 9th-house transit. They are given as what the tradition recommends, which is the only status this page claims for them.

• Worship of Shiva on Mondays, the vara assigned to Chandra, which is the traditional strengthening of the lord of your rashi
• Offering water to the Moon on Purnima nights, conventionally from a silver vessel
• The Chandra mantra — Om Chandraya Namah — recited 108 times, traditionally in the evening
• Donation of white items — rice, milk, white cloth — on Mondays
• A natural pearl set in silver, and only after a chart has been read by someone who can see your birth time: a stone is prescribed against a placement, not against a sign
• A sesame-oil lamp under a peepal tree on Saturday evenings, and the Hanuman Chalisa, which are the Shani observances kept even under a favourable Saturn transit — Saturn owns your 7th house as the lord of Capricorn, so it is never irrelevant to Karka Rashi
• Black sesame seeds fed to birds on Saturdays, the vara assigned to Shani
• Time near water, which is the classical counterweight for a Moon-ruled rashi and needs no muhurat

What This Page Does Not Give You, and Why

There are no fortunate months here and no difficult ones. Over a year the only grahas that go anywhere slowly enough to matter are the four in the table above, and between them they produce five dates in 2026: Jupiter enters Cancer on 2 June and Leo on 31 October, the nodes change rashi on 5 December, and Saturn turns retrograde on 27 July and direct again on 11 December. Jupiter's own stations, 11 March and 13 December, are the sixth and seventh. A list of three fortunate months and two difficult ones does not follow from those dates, or from anything else in the table — it is produced by picking, and picking is not reading. The traditional attributions assigned to Karka Rashi are single values rather than lists, and this site keeps them in one place so that no page can quietly grow them: the vara is Monday, the colour is Silver, the number is 2, and the direction assigned to the rashi is North. That is a convention recorded in classical and later texts, not a measurement, and it does not subdivide — there is no separate direction for career and another for marriage, and no second or third number.
