Scorpio Rashifal January 2027 (Vrishchika Rashi): Venus Arrives on Your Sign in Hour Twenty-Three

Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji

The first significant transit of 2027 happens twenty-three hours into it, and it happens in your favour. At 11:18 pm on Friday 1 January, Venus leaves Libra and enters Scorpio. It had been in Libra — its own sign — for the whole of December, the only dignified planet in the sky that month. Vrishchika Rashi gains it in the same instant Tula loses it.

Venus then sits on your own rashi for four weeks, until 6:37 pm on Friday 29 January. It is not dignified in Scorpio — but neither is it debilitated, which is a distinction worth insisting on, because Venus is debilitated only in Virgo. What you have is an undignified Venus on your first house, and a first-house Venus is the most reliably pleasant transit there is: people find you easier, and you find asking easier.

Four Weeks of Venus on Vrishchika

The first house is you: appearance, manner, the impression you make before you have said anything. Venus there smooths all three, and for a sign whose reputation is for intensity rather than charm, that is a more useful gift than it would be for most. The practical uses are the obvious ones — a first meeting, an interview, a request, a reconciliation, anything where the reception matters more than the argument.

The window is precise: from 11:18 pm on 1 January to 6:37 pm on 29 January. After that Venus moves to your second house — money already held, possessions, speech — where it does quieter work into February. And its next dignity anywhere is exalted Pisces from 15 April 2027 at 3:16 pm, which will be your fifth house.

Your Ruler Turns Retrograde in Your Tenth House

Mars rules Vrishchika Rashi, and on 10 January at 6:24 pm it turns retrograde in Leo — your tenth house. Mars retrogrades about once in two years, so this is not a routine event, and when the planet involved is your own ruler the effect is more direct than it would otherwise be. The tenth is also the house of Mars’s directional strength, though that is reckoned from the ascendant rather than the Moon, so it is a bonus only for those whose ascendant is Scorpio as well.

A retrograde ruler in the career house has a specific signature: the ordinary Scorpio method of applying pressure until something moves stops working. A confrontation with a superior does not resolve, it repeats. A job application pushed hard goes quiet. A project driven at speed uncovers something that has to be redone. None of that means the career is going badly — it means force is the wrong instrument between the 10th and 1 April 2027, when Mars turns direct.

The retrograde has a second act worth knowing about. Mars reverses out of Leo into Cancer at 12:30 am on 10 March 2027, where Mars is debilitated, and that is your ninth house — the same house Jupiter will be sitting in, exalted. It returns to Leo and your tenth house on 26 April. So the career house is empty of Mars for six weeks in the spring, and the ninth carries a weak Mars alongside a very strong Jupiter.

Jupiter Exalted in the House It Naturally Governs

At 2:15 am on Monday 25 January, Jupiter enters Cancer, the sign of its exaltation. Counted from Scorpio, Cancer is the ninth house — dharma, fortune, the guru, higher learning, long journeys, the father. And Jupiter is the natural significator of the ninth house in Vedic astrology: this is the planet of the ninth arriving in the ninth, in the sign where it is strongest.

What that produces is not usually money. It is direction. A teacher becomes available, a course of study that had seemed impractical becomes practical, a decision about how you intend to live gets made, a journey happens. It is also the classical placement for a matter involving the father going well, and for anything requiring the good opinion of an institution.

Three days earlier, at 5:47 pm on Friday 22 January, the Full Moon forms in the same house at 8° of Cancer, in Pushya nakshatra’s second pada — the quarter from 6°40′ to 10°00′. Pushya’s presiding deity is Brihaspati, which is Jupiter. So your ninth house gets a Full Moon in Jupiter’s nakshatra and then Jupiter itself, three days apart.

Ketu is already there, having entered Cancer on 5 December 2026, staying until June 2028. Ketu in the ninth is classically the placement of someone who has stopped believing what they were taught, which is an interesting thing to have alongside an exalted Jupiter: the guidance arrives, and you interrogate it rather than accept it. And the exaltation is short — Jupiter reverses into Cancer rather than walking in, turns direct on 13 April 2027 and leaves for Leo on 26 June 2027. Five months rather than thirteen; the 2014–15 visit ran a full thirteen; the next is in 2038.

Saturn in the Fifth, and Good News in June

Saturn is in Pisces all month, your fifth house. It is worth being exact about what that means, because the tradition has lists and the fifth is on none of them. Saturn transits favourably through the third, sixth and eleventh from the natal Moon. It is named as difficult in the twelfth, first and second — Sade Sati — in the fourth as Kantaka Shani, and in the eighth as Ardha Ashtama Shani. The fifth is simply a Saturn transit: it slows children’s matters, education and creative work, and it makes speculation a bad idea, without carrying a classical warning of its own.

Saturn turned direct there at 5:31 am on 11 December 2026, so it is moving forward. And the change is dated and favourable: on 3 June 2027 Saturn enters Aries — your sixth house, one of its three good ones. Saturn in the sixth wins disputes slowly, wears down competitors and grinds through debt in your favour. It retreats to your fifth on 20 October 2027 and returns to Aries for good on 23 February 2028.

Week by Week

1–7 January

The year starts well for you from late on the very first day. Venus arrives on your rashi at 11:18 pm on the 1st, and the following week is the easiest social stretch of the month — Mars is still direct in your tenth house, so drive and charm are both available at once. That combination does not last past the 10th, which makes the first week the one to use for anything that needs both.

8–14 January

The New Moon of Friday the 8th falls in your second house, which makes it the month’s date for beginning something about money you hold rather than money you earn: a savings arrangement, a change in how you price your work, a decision about a possession. Then Sunday the 10th carries two events — Mercury into your third house at 12:34 am, and your ruler turning retrograde in your career house that evening. Do the career conversation before the 10th if you can.

15–22 January

A third-house fortnight with the Sun and Mercury joining Rahu there from mid-month: communication, siblings, short journeys and initiative. Rahu in the third amplifies the impulse to say the thing, and for Vrishchika Rashi the thing said in this fortnight is the one most likely to be remembered against you. The Full Moon of Friday the 22nd falls in your ninth house and usually brings a question of direction to the surface.

23–31 January

The month’s most important week, and its subject is direction rather than achievement. Jupiter enters exalted Cancer in your ninth house at 2:15 am on Monday the 25th — the planet of the ninth house arriving in the ninth house in its best sign. Enrol in the course, approach the teacher, book the journey, make the decision about how the next few years are meant to go. Venus leaves your rashi on Friday the 29th, so the social ease tapers off as the week ends.

Career and Money for Vrishchika Rashi

Career is where the month asks for restraint. Your ruler is retrograde in your tenth house from the 10th until it leaves in March, and the correct reading is not that opportunity disappears but that pressure backfires. What works in a Mars retrograde is completing something already started; what fails is starting a fight. If a decision about your position is due, aim for the first ten days of January or for April.

On money: the New Moon of the 8th in your second house is the useful date, and Venus in the same house from the 29th supports it. Your eleventh house — income — is empty all month, so January is not an earning month. The ninth-house Jupiter from the 25th does have a financial dimension, but an indirect one: it is the placement under which a qualification, an institution or a mentor makes later earning possible. Treat the money as a 2027 outcome rather than a January one.

Relationships and Family

The month’s clearest gift is relational. Venus on your rashi from 11:18 pm on 1 January to 6:37 pm on 29 January is four weeks in which you are easier to be around, and for Vrishchika Rashi that is worth using deliberately — the sign’s difficulty is rarely lack of feeling and often lack of visible warmth. A reconciliation attempted in January lands better than the same attempt in February.

Your seventh house is empty, so partnership matters take their tone from elsewhere: from the Venus on your rashi, which helps, and from the retrograde Mars in your tenth, which tends to import work frustration into the evening. Naming that mechanism is most of the remedy for it.

Health

A retrograde ruler is the health note for the month, and its usual signature for a Mars-ruled sign is an old injury or a recurring inflammation reasserting itself rather than something new. It responds to reduced load, which is the opposite of the instinct. The sixth house is empty until June, when Saturn arrives there and — being one of its three favourable houses — becomes a good period for finally dealing with something chronic.

Remedies for Vrishchika Rashi in January 2027

Three live facts: a Venus on your rashi for four weeks, a retrograde ruler in your career house, and an exalted Jupiter arriving in the house it naturally governs.

  • Use the four weeks of Venus, 1 to 29 January: a first-house Venus is for the meeting, the reconciliation, the interview and the request. It is the most usable thing in the month and it has an end time — 6:37 pm on the 29th.
  • Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 January: the standard observance for a Mars that has lost strength, and your ruler is retrograde from the 10th. Sindoor, a chola offering and the Hanuman Chalisa; our Mangal remedies and Tuesday fasting set out the forms.
  • Do not force the career matter between the 10th and 1 April: the direct counter to a retrograde ruler in the tenth. Finish what is started; do not open what is not.
  • Guru worship on the four Thursdays — 7, 14, 21 and 28 January: Jupiter reaches exaltation in your ninth house on the 25th, so the 28th is the first Thursday under the new placement — and the ninth is Jupiter’s own house, which makes the observance unusually apt this month. Chana dal and turmeric, with the yellow cloth given to a teacher or a place of study, which is the ninth house’s own idiom. The remedies for a weak Jupiter page lists the rest.
  • Commit to the study or the teacher after the 25th: what an exalted Jupiter in the ninth is for. The window closes on 26 June 2027 and the next one is in 2038.
  • Say less in the third-house fortnight: Rahu, the Sun and Mercury together in your third house from mid-month. What is said between the 15th and the 22nd tends to outlast the reason for saying it.
  • No speculation while Saturn holds your fifth house: it is on none of the classical warning lists, but a fifth-house Saturn is consistently poor for anything staked rather than earned. This runs until 3 June 2027.
  • Ketu observance, all month: Ketu is in your ninth house until June 2028 and Jupiter joins it on the 25th. A grey cloth given away, til, and food for a street dog. More is on the weak-Ketu remedies page.

In Summary

January 2027 hands Vrishchika Rashi something in the twenty-third hour of the year. Venus, which spent all of December dignified in its own Libra, crosses into Scorpio at 11:18 pm on Friday 1 January and sits on your own rashi until 6:37 pm on Friday the 29th. It is not dignified there and it is not debilitated either — Venus is debilitated only in Virgo — and a first-house Venus is four weeks of being easier to deal with, which is a gift worth spending rather than saving.

The cost sits in your career house. Your ruler Mars turns retrograde in your tenth at 6:24 pm on Sunday 10 January — an event that comes round about once in two years — and stays retrograde until 1 April, reversing into your ninth house, debilitated, on 10 March. Between the 10th and April, finishing works and forcing does not.

The month’s largest event is unusually well matched to your chart. Cancer is your ninth house, Jupiter is the natural significator of the ninth, and Jupiter enters Cancer exalted at 2:15 am on Monday 25 January — three days after a Full Moon in the same house, at 8° in Pushya pada 2, whose presiding deity is Jupiter itself. It runs five months rather than thirteen, to 26 June 2027, and does not recur until 2038. Meanwhile Saturn holds your fifth house until 3 June 2027, when it moves to your favourable sixth.

How much of this is yours rather than the sign’s turns on your natal Moon’s degree and on which of the nine Scorpio padas holds it — every house here is counted from that Moon rather than from your Sun sign, and a Moon in Anuradha reads differently from one in Jyeshtha. The Vrishchik traits that hold whatever your pada are treated on their own page. Our Jupiter transit guide carries this exaltation through each rashi, and the December reading sets out what preceded it.

Your ruler is retrograde until April

Mars turns retrograde in your tenth house on 10 January and reverses into your ninth in March. What that does depends on where Mars sits in your own chart. A chart reading gives you your own dates rather than the sign-level average.
