Virgo Rashifal June 2027 (Kanya Rashi): Ashtama Shani Begins on 3 June
Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji
June 2027 changes the shape of a Kanya reader’s chart in the first week and again in the last. On 3 June, Saturn crosses from Pisces into Aries, which for Virgo means it leaves the seventh house and enters the eighth. Saturn in the eighth from the Moon sign has its own name in the tradition — Ashtama Shani — and this is where it starts. On 26 June, exalted Jupiter leaves your eleventh house of gains for your twelfth.
Between the two, the ruler goes backwards. Mercury rules Kanya Rashi and rules Gemini, which is your tenth house of career — so for Virgo, uniquely among the twelve, the lord of the self and the lord of the profession are the same planet. It spends all thirty days in Gemini, turns retrograde at 11:44 pm on Thursday 10 June, and goes combust from about the 15th. Your ruler is weak in your career house for the back half of the month.
None of that closes the calendar. All 30 days of June are open — no Kharmas, no Chaturmas, and neither Jupiter nor Venus combust — and the ninth house has the best June it will have all year. What the month asks of you is sequencing: the useful things belong in the first ten days.
Ashtama Shani: What Actually Begins on 3 June
Saturn moves from 29°47′ of Pisces to 2°18′ of Aries across June, crossing the boundary on 3 June 2027 and entering Ashwini pada 1 at the same instant. The date carries no minute on purpose: Saturn is travelling at 0.098° a day there, so the crossing time shifts by hours between one ayanamsa and another. Our table says 4:39 am. We publish the day, because the minute cannot be defended.
Ashtama Shani is the transit of Saturn through the eighth house from the natal Moon, and the eighth is the house of upheaval, shared money, inheritance, chronic conditions and things that happen to you rather than things you do. It is one of the three Saturn transits the tradition names for difficulty, alongside Sade Sati and Kantaka Shani. What it typically produces is not disaster but exposure: a matter you had left half-settled — a joint account, a family property, an insurance question, a health thing you have been ignoring — becomes something you have to deal with.
Three pieces of arithmetic make June a much softer start than the name suggests, and all three are checkable. First, Saturn only reaches 3°38′ of Aries in 2027 before it turns retrograde on 9 August — that is its entire forward push into your eighth house this year. Second, it reverses back into Pisces and your seventh house on 20 October 2027, turns direct on 24 December, and does not settle into Aries for good until 23 February 2028. So Ashtama Shani comes in two instalments with a four-month gap in the middle. Third, Saturn is debilitated in Aries.
On that last point, be careful with the usual consolation. A debilitated Saturn is not a harmless Saturn; what debilitation costs it is reliability. The productive side of the transit — the structure it builds, the endurance it teaches, the discipline that makes an eighth-house passage worth having afterwards — is what a fallen Saturn delivers least well. Expect the work without the compensation, and treat the four-month reprieve from October as the part to plan around. Observances are on our Shani dosh page.
The other half of the same event is genuine relief. Saturn has been in your seventh house since March 2025 — the house of marriage, partnership and the business you share with someone. Two and a half years of Saturn there is the transit that makes a relationship feel like an obligation. That ends on 3 June. It returns for four months from 20 October, but the long stretch is over. Saturn also spends every one of June’s thirty days inside the Revati–Ashwini gandanta, the most unstable junction in the zodiac, which is why the first month of the new transit feels less settled than the transit itself is.
Your Ruler Turns Retrograde in Your Career House
Mercury spends the whole of June inside a band four and a half degrees wide: from 8°21′ of Gemini on the 1st down to 3°52′ on the 30th. It turns retrograde at 11:44 pm on Thursday 10 June, reverses out of Ardra into Mrigashira at 9:03 pm on Thursday 24 June, and turns direct on 5 July at 3°14′. All of it happens in your tenth house of career and standing, in Mercury’s own sign.
Then the Sun catches it. The Sun enters Gemini at 6:50 pm on Tuesday 15 June at Mithuna Sankranti, Mercury falls inside 12° of it at about the same time, and the two are exact at 1:29 pm on Wednesday 23 June at 7°25′ of Gemini. Mercury is still within 9°22′ on the 30th and clears 12° again on 2 July. That is an inferior conjunction — Mercury between Earth and Sun — and it lands squarely in your career house, on the planet that rules both your rashi and that house.
The reading is specific and it is not doom. A retrograde, burnt Mercury in the tenth is the transit of the professional matter that has to be redone: the proposal that comes back, the title that is not quite what was agreed, the report that gets reopened, the manager who changes their mind. For a Kanya reader, whose competence is usually the thing they are relied on for, that is irritating rather than damaging. It also has a genuinely favourable use — retrograde Mercury in its own sign is good at revisiting: an old application, a lapsed contact, a role you turned down. What it is poor at is new. Sign, submit and confirm before Thursday the 10th.
The Ninth House Has the Best Month, and It Ends on the 26th
Your ninth house of fortune, father, teachers and long journeys is Taurus, and June fills it. Venus reaches Taurus — its own sign — at 00:37 on Friday 4 June and stays twenty-four days, to 2:35 pm on Monday 28 June. The Sun is there until the 15th. And the New Moon forms in that house at 1:10 am on Saturday 5 June, at 19°42′ of Taurus in Rohini pada 3. Inside the Venus stretch, Rohini from 5:30 am on Saturday 12 June is the strongest sub-window, running to 3:41 am on Wednesday 23 June.
Meanwhile the eleventh house holds exalted Jupiter for twenty-five more days. The eleventh is gains, income from work, elder siblings and things asked for and given, and it is the best house a transiting Jupiter can occupy; having it there exalted is as good as this gets. Jupiter crosses 26°40′ into Ashlesha pada 4 on Friday 4 June and leaves for your twelfth house at 4:48 am on Saturday 26 June, losing its exaltation on the way out. It does not return to Cancer, and so is not exalted again, until 2038.
Ketu shares that eleventh house all month, retreating from 20°37′ to 19°02′ and crossing into Ashlesha pada 1 on 12 June. Jupiter with Ketu is Guru–Chandal, and the two separate through the month: 5°32′ apart on the 1st, 11°49′ by the 30th. So the muddling of good advice eases as June goes on, but the good placement ends with it. If there is something to ask for — a raise, a favour, an introduction — ask before Saturday the 26th.
The Month’s Fixed Points

- Tuesday 29 June, 00:38 — Mars enters Uttara Phalguni in your twelfth house, with Jupiter now in the same sign.
Week by Week
Thirty days, Tuesday to Wednesday. Mercury rules Kanya Rashi, so your day is Wednesday, and June gives you five of them — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 June. Note which ones: the 9th is the last before your ruler stations, and the 23rd is the day the Sun is exact with it.
1–7 June
Do the month’s real business here. Saturn changes houses on the 3rd, Venus reaches its own sign in your ninth at 00:37 on Friday the 4th, exalted Jupiter moves into its last pada in your eleventh the same day, and the New Moon forms in your ninth at 1:10 am on Saturday the 5th. Mercury is still direct and 20°-plus clear of the Sun all week. Anything that needs signing, submitting or asking for belongs before Sunday the 7th.
8–14 June
The deadline week. Mercury turns retrograde at 11:44 pm on Thursday the 10th, so Wednesday the 9th — your own weekday — is the last clean day for paperwork. Then your Chandra window opens at 11:17 pm on Friday the 11th and runs to 5:10 am on Monday the 14th: fifty-three hours fifty-three minutes with the Moon on your own sign, and the best beginning the month offers even with your ruler retrograde. Venus enters Rohini on Saturday the 12th.
15–21 June
The career house fills and dims at once. The Sun arrives there at 6:50 pm on Tuesday the 15th at Mithuna Sankranti, and Mercury goes combust about the same day. The Full Moon fills your fourth house of home and mother at 6:14 am on Saturday the 19th, in a gandanta degree — a domestic matter coming to a head is more likely than a professional one this week, even with three planets in the tenth. Handle, do not initiate.
22–28 June
The hardest week and the most consequential. The Sun is exact with your retrograde ruler at 1:29 pm on Wednesday the 23rd in your career house; Mercury reverses into Mrigashira at 9:03 pm on Thursday the 24th; exalted Jupiter leaves your eleventh house at 4:48 am on Saturday the 26th; Venus follows into your tenth at 2:35 pm on Monday the 28th. Expect a professional matter to be reopened and a source of gain to quietly close. Nothing here rewards being pushed.
29–30 June
Two days in the new arrangement. Mars enters Uttara Phalguni at 00:38 on Tuesday the 29th, with Jupiter now in the same twelfth house — and your twelfth holding both is a signature for expense and for effort spent out of sight. The month ends on Wednesday the 30th, your weekday, with Saturn at 2°18′ of Aries in your eighth and Mercury still retrograde at 3°52′ in your tenth.
Career and Money for Kanya Rashi
The career reading is dominated by one fact: the planet that rules your sign also rules your tenth house, and it spends June retrograde and then burnt inside that house. A Kanya reader will do more revising than advancing. The two useful consequences are that a professional matter you thought was closed can be reopened in your favour, and that the first ten days — Mercury direct and wide of the Sun — are worth clearing your diary for. Venus joining the tenth on the 28th, and the Sun there from the 15th, means the attention is on you regardless. Our career remedies page has the standing observances.
Money splits down the middle of the month. Until the 26th your eleventh house of gains holds exalted Jupiter, which is the best income signature available; after it, the house is empty and Jupiter is in your twelfth of expenditure alongside Mars. That is not a collapse, it is a change of direction — income steady, outgo rising. Ashtama Shani adds the specific eighth-house caution: joint money, loans, family property and anything held in someone else’s name are the areas that ask for attention this year, and the sooner the paperwork is clean the better. Ask for what you want before the 26th. See the financial remedies page.
Home, Family and Partnership
The partnership news is the good news. Saturn leaves your seventh house on 3 June after two and a half years, and that is the single most relieving change in your chart. What Saturn in the seventh does is make a relationship into a duty; what its departure does is let the duty become a choice again. Be honest about the tail: Saturn returns to your seventh from 20 October 2027 to 23 February 2028. So June to October is the window in which something can be repaired, and it is worth using rather than waiting out.
For a Kanya reader considering marriage, engagement or a partnership agreement, the arithmetic points at 4 to 10 June: Saturn newly out of the seventh, Venus dignified in your ninth, the New Moon in the same house on the 5th, and Mercury still direct. Every day of June is open. The marriage muhurat page for June 2027 lists the qualifying dates, griha pravesh works the housewarming arithmetic, and the vehicle page covers a purchase. Venus is a morning star closing from 19°32′ to 11°52′ of the Sun across the month and goes combust on 6 July 2027, after which the calendar shuts until 17 September.
Home is where the Full Moon falls: your fourth house, at 6:14 am on Saturday 19 June, at 3°18′ of Sagittarius in Moola pada 1. The Moon holds Sagittarius from 11:40 pm on the 18th to 11:48 am on Monday the 21st. A lunation in the fourth usually brings a matter of house, property or mother forward — and with the fourth lord Jupiter still exalted until the 26th, that is a good month to raise it in rather than a bad one.
Health
The eighth house governs chronic conditions and things that surface without warning, and Saturn entering it on the 3rd is a reason to schedule rather than to worry. If there is a test you have deferred, a course of treatment you abandoned, or a symptom you have decided to live with, the honest reading of Ashtama Shani is that it will make the decision for you eventually and it is better to go first. Saturn only reaches 3°38′ of Aries this year, so 2027 is the light instalment; 2028 onwards is the substantial one.
Your sixth house of illness is empty all thirty days, which is genuinely favourable, and exalted Jupiter in your eleventh until the 26th is the best transit for a recovery being supported by other people. The window for beginning anything — a regimen, a diet, a treatment — is your Chandra days, 11:17 pm on Friday 11 June to 5:10 am on Monday 14 June, and the sooner in that window the better, since Mercury has already stationed. From the 15th, with the Sun in your tenth and your ruler burnt, tiredness is a signal rather than a mood.
Remedies for Kanya Rashi in June 2027
Four conditions: Ashtama Shani beginning on the 3rd with Saturn debilitated, your ruler Mercury retrograde and then burnt in your career house, exalted Jupiter’s last twenty-five days in your eleventh, and Saturn’s departure from your seventh.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 5, 12, 19 and 26 June: the first month of Ashtama Shani, with Saturn debilitated and inside the gandanta. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown, and something given to someone who works with their hands. The 5th, the first Saturday of the transit, is the one to keep properly. Forms on the Shani remedies page and Saturday fasting.
- Budh observance on the Wednesdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 June: five of them, for the planet that rules both your sign and your career house, retrograde from the 10th and burnt from the 15th. Green cloth or moong given away, and something written finished rather than started. The 9th — the last Wednesday before the station — is the one to act on.
- Guru worship on the Thursdays — 3, 10, 17 and 24 June: the last four Thursdays of exalted Jupiter in your house of gains, and its last exaltation until 2038. Turmeric, chana dal, yellow given to a teacher rather than kept. The 24th is the last before it leaves. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Shukra observance on the Fridays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 June: Venus is in its own sign in your ninth house for twenty-four days, the last full month before it goes combust. White cloth, rice and ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
- Ketu observance, all month: Ketu is in your eleventh house with Jupiter until the 26th and crosses into Ashlesha pada 1 on the 12th. Sesame, a grey or multicoloured cloth given away, food offered to a dog. With Rahu opposite in your fifth, the joint forms apply — see the joint observances and our Rahu-Ketu page.
- Clean up one eighth-house matter in the first ten days: the practical form of the remedy rather than a ritual. A joint account, a nominee that was never updated, a loan guarantee, an unclaimed policy. Ashtama Shani finds these; going first is the whole difference.
- Ask before Saturday the 26th: exalted Jupiter is in your house of things asked for and given until 4:48 am that morning. After it, the house is empty for months. A request made in the first three weeks of June has more behind it than one made in July.
In Summary
For Kanya Rashi, June 2027 is a handover month. Ashtama Shani begins on 3 June when Saturn leaves your seventh house for your eighth, debilitated and inside the Revati–Ashwini gandanta — and the arithmetic makes 2027 the light instalment, since Saturn reaches only 3°38′ of Aries before turning retrograde in August and steps back into your seventh from 20 October to 23 February 2028. Two and a half years of Saturn on your partnership house end in the first week, which is the relief inside the news.
The month’s working difficulty is that your ruler and your tenth lord are the same planet. Mercury spends all thirty days inside a 4°29′ band of Gemini, turns retrograde at 11:44 pm on Thursday 10 June, goes combust from the 15th, and the Sun is exact with it at 1:29 pm on Wednesday 23 June in your career house. Revise, do not launch.
Two windows carry the month. 4 to 10 June — Venus dignified in your ninth, the New Moon there on the 5th, exalted Jupiter still in your eleventh, Mercury still direct — is where every decision belongs. And 11:17 pm on Friday 11 June to 5:10 am on Monday 14 June, your fifty-three-hour Chandra window, is the best beginning available afterwards. Exalted Jupiter leaves your house of gains at 4:48 am on Saturday 26 June and is not exalted again until 2038, so the asking is best done early. All of this is sign-level; which of the nine Virgo padas holds your natal Moon decides how much of it lands.
