Aquarius Rashifal March 2027 (Kumbha Rashi): The New Moon Forms on Your Own Sign
Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji
At 2:59 pm on Monday 8 March 2027, the Sun and Moon meet at 23°18′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada. That is the New Moon of the month, and for Kumbha Rashi it forms on your own sign — both luminaries, at the same degree, in your first house.
A New Moon on the Moon sign is the cleanest reset a chart gets. It is the point at which the lunar month restarts, and having it land on your own rashi means the restart is yours rather than something happening in a corner of your life. It also falls inside the Moon’s own transit of Aquarius — from 5:34 pm on Saturday 6 March to 3:39 am on Tuesday 9 March — so your Chandra days for the month contain the lunation. And the Sun holds Aquarius until 15 March, meaning the whole first fortnight is your solar month too.
If there is one date in March 2027 for an Aquarius to begin something, it is Monday the 8th. It sits six days before Holashtak opens, which makes it ritually clear as well.
Sade Sati Is in Its Final Phase
Saturn rules Kumbha Rashi and occupies Pisces all month, direct, moving from 18°49′ to 22°33′ and crossing from the first pada of Revati into the second. Pisces is your second house, and Saturn in the second from the Moon sign is the third and final phase of Sade Sati — the seven-and-a-half-year passage of Saturn through the twelfth, first and second houses from the Moon.
The second-house phase is the one that shows up in money and in speech: savings that will not accumulate the way they should, family expenditure that keeps arriving, a caution around what you say and how it is received. It is generally the least brutal of the three phases — the first-house phase is the heavy one — but it is the one that costs the most in ordinary rupees.
It ends on 3 June 2027, when Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries — your third house — and Sade Sati is over for Kumbha Rashi. That is the single most useful thing in this month’s reading. Saturn does return briefly to Pisces on 20 October 2027 before settling in Aries on 23 February 2028, so there is a short tail; but the main passage closes in June, and from the start of March that is eleven weeks. The observances are on our Sade Sati page and our Shani dosh page.
At 6:55 am on Monday 15 March the Sun leaves your sign and joins Saturn in that second house. Sun with Saturn in the second is the fortnight in which the financial pressure of the final phase is most visible — and, read the other way, the fortnight in which it is most addressable, because a Sun-Saturn combination does reward plain effort. It is a good stretch for going through accounts rather than avoiding them.
Mercury and Venus Both Come Home to Your Sign
Two planets cross into Aquarius during March, which means your first house is progressively occupied as the month goes on.
Mercury turns direct at 6:02 pm on Wednesday 3 March at 26°41′ of Capricorn — your twelfth house — ending the retrograde that began at 11:05 pm on 9 February 2027. It then enters Aquarius at 5:00 am on Friday 12 March, crosses into Shatabhisha at 11:51 am on the 19th and into Purva Bhadrapada at 12:59 am on the 30th. Mercury on the Moon sign is thinking that works: from mid-month your own clarity, your speech and your correspondence are all better resourced than they were in February.
Venus follows, entering Aquarius at 6:47 pm on Sunday 21 March, on Holika Dahan. Venus on the Moon sign is comfort, appearance, and being easier to like — a mild and pleasant transit, and after a fortnight of Sun-Saturn in the second house, a welcome one for the closing ten days.
Before that, though, Venus meets Rahu exactly at 7:23 am on Wednesday 17 March at 24°38′ of Capricorn, which is your twelfth house. Venus over Rahu in the twelfth is the month’s hazard, and the twelfth house makes it specific: expenditure you cannot account for afterwards, an attraction that stays hidden, a foreign or long-distance commitment made on impulse. With Sade Sati already pressing on your savings, a twelfth-house leak in mid-March is the last thing the month needs. Mercury passed the same node on the 3rd, so use that station to check what has already gone out.
Three Bodies in Your Sixth — Which Is Not Bad News
Cancer is your sixth house, and it is crowded. Ketu is there. Jupiter is there, exalted in Cancer and retrograde, and the two were exact on Monday 1 March at 25°27′. At 12:30 am on Wednesday 10 March, Mars reverses out of your seventh house and back into Cancer, debilitated, joining them. All three sit inside about four degrees of Ashlesha.
The sixth house is one of the two places where a difficult planet does useful work. It governs enemies, disputes, debts, competitors, illness and daily labour — and a malefic there fights on your behalf rather than against you. So Mars debilitated in your sixth, which would be a problem almost anywhere else, is a reasonable placement: it wears down opposition. Ketu there dissolves an old dispute rather than escalating it.
An exalted Jupiter in the sixth is the awkward one. Jupiter is a benefic, and benefics do less in the sixth than they would elsewhere — a great deal of potential goodwill spent on managing routine, service and small obligations. The honest reading is that a Kumbha Rashi native has excellent capacity this year to help, to serve, to resolve, and to be relied on — and comparatively little of it lands as personal advantage. Jupiter holds Cancer until 26 June 2027, so that is the shape of the year, not just the month. It turns direct at 7:58 am on 13 April.
Mars, meanwhile, falls to 26°41′ of Cancer by the 31st and stops there: it turns direct at 7:42 pm on Thursday 1 April 2027 at that exact degree. The practical version — if you have a dispute or a debt to grind through, March is a decent month to grind, and a bad month to expect a verdict in.
An Eighth-House Full Moon on Holi Week
The Full Moon forms at 4:13 pm on Monday 22 March at 7°18′ of Virgo, in Uttara Phalguni — the Phalguna Purnima that Holika Dahan on Sunday the 21st is counted from. Virgo is your eighth house, which is the least comfortable place a Full Moon can land: inheritance, debt, other people’s money, insurance, litigation, and the kind of ending that is not chosen.
For an Aquarius, that means Holi week is likely to raise a joint financial matter, a family estate question, or something that has been kept quiet. It is not a disaster — a Full Moon illuminates rather than damages — but it is emotionally loud, and it arrives while Sade Sati is already working on your money. Read it as a week for disclosure rather than for decisions, and note that Venus enters your own sign the evening before, which softens it.
The Closures
The Sun’s exit from your sign at 6:55 am on the 15th is the Meena Sankranti, and it opens Meena Kharmas, running to 14 April 2027 — weddings, house-warmings, vehicle purchases and formal beginnings closed for the whole stretch. Before it, Holashtak runs 14 to 21 March, ending at Holika Dahan on Sunday 21 March 2027.
The arithmetic works out kindly for Kumbha Rashi. The open fortnight — the first thirteen days — is exactly the fortnight in which the Sun is on your own sign, the Moon reaches it, and the New Moon forms on it. The closed stretch is where the twelfth-house Venus-Rahu contact and the eighth-house Full Moon sit. Act in the first half; absorb the second. Our business and property page for March 2027 works the day-by-day arithmetic, and the travel muhurat page covers a journey.

Week by Week
Thirty-one days, Monday to Wednesday. Saturn rules Kumbha Rashi, so Saturday is your day of the week, and there are four: 6, 13, 20 and 27 March.
1–7 March
Jupiter and Ketu are exact in your sixth house on Monday the 1st. Mercury turns direct in your twelfth at 6:02 pm on Wednesday the 3rd — from Thursday, use it to reconcile what has been going out rather than to plan what will. The Moon arrives on your own sign at 5:34 pm on Saturday the 6th, and the strongest three days of the month begin.
8–14 March
The month’s pivot. The New Moon forms on Kumbha Rashi at 2:59 pm on Monday the 8th, with both luminaries on your sign and the Moon still there — the cleanest date in March for starting anything. Mars reverses into your sixth at 12:30 am on Wednesday the 10th. Mercury enters your sign at 5:00 am on Friday the 12th. Saturday the 13th is the last open day before Holashtak.
15–21 March
The costly week. The Sun leaves your sign at 6:55 am on Monday the 15th and joins Saturn in your second house, where the final phase of Sade Sati becomes visible in money. Venus meets Rahu in your twelfth at 7:23 am on Wednesday the 17th — the week to watch what leaves your account and what you agree to at a distance. Holika Dahan is Sunday the 21st, and Venus enters your sign that evening.
22–31 March
The Full Moon lands in your eighth house at 4:13 pm on Monday the 22nd, so Holi week raises a joint financial or family matter. But Venus and Mercury are both on your own sign for the rest of the month, which makes the closing ten days personally easier than the middle of March, even while Kharmas keeps formal beginnings shut. Mars sits nearly still in your sixth at 26°41′ of Cancer, waiting for 1 April.
Career and Money for Kumbha Rashi
Your tenth house, Scorpio, is empty all month and no planet enters it, so career carries no transit pressure. What does the work instead is the first house: with the Sun on your sign to the 15th, the New Moon on it on the 8th, Mercury on it from the 12th and Venus from the 21st, March is a month in which you personally are more present, clearer and better liked than the month before. That is how a professional gain arrives this month — through you rather than through your role.
Money is the honest difficulty and it comes from three directions. Saturn in the second house is Sade Sati’s final phase working directly on savings, with the Sun joining it from the 15th. Venus over Rahu in the twelfth on the 17th is unaccounted expenditure. And the Full Moon in the eighth on the 22nd raises joint money — a shared liability, a family estate, an insurance or loan matter. None of the three is catastrophic and all three are the same instruction: know your numbers in March. Mercury turning direct on the 3rd is the date to start reconciling them. Our financial remedies page covers the standing observances.
Family, Partnership and Home
Your seventh house, Leo, holds Mars only until 12:30 am on the 10th and is empty afterwards, so the first nine days are where a partnership matter has energy in it and the rest of the month is quiet. Read the withdrawal as neutral rather than negative: what does not get settled in early March simply waits.
The second house is family as much as it is money — the second governs the family you were born into and the words exchanged in it. Sade Sati’s final phase there, with the Sun joining Saturn on the 15th, means the likeliest friction in the second half of March is a family conversation about money, conducted more sharply than either side intends. Saturn in the second is famous for making speech cost something. It ends on 3 June 2027.
Your fourth house, Taurus, is empty, so home itself is not under pressure this month. And Venus arriving on your own sign on Holika Dahan is the month’s warmest note — the last ten days are better for company than the middle fortnight was.
Health
Your sixth house carries three bodies, and the sixth is the health house — but the specific occupants argue for management rather than crisis. A debilitated Mars there is low-grade inflammation and irritability rather than acute illness; Ketu there tends to make a complaint hard to name; and an exalted Jupiter in the sixth is genuinely protective, the best possible planet standing guard over the house of disease. If something chronic has been running, March is a reasonable month for it to improve under attention.
The two useful dates are Mercury turning direct on the 3rd — the clearest window in the month for getting a diagnosis or a test result that actually makes sense — and your Chandra days from the evening of Saturday the 6th to the small hours of Tuesday the 9th, with the New Moon inside them, which is the best stretch in March for beginning any regimen. The eighth-house Full Moon on the 22nd is the week to expect disturbed sleep and to not compensate with more activity.
Remedies for Kumbha Rashi in March 2027
Four conditions: the final phase of Sade Sati in your second house with the Sun joining it, a New Moon on your own sign on the 8th, Venus over Rahu in your twelfth on the 17th, and three bodies in your sixth house.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 6, 13, 20 and 27 March: the month’s central remedy. Saturn rules Kumbha Rashi and is in the final phase of Sade Sati, ending on 3 June 2027. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown, and something given to someone who works with their hands. Forms on the Shani remedies page, with the full passage on our Sade Sati page.
- Begin on Monday 8 March: the practical use of the reading rather than a ritual. The New Moon on your own sign, inside your own Chandra days, six days before Holashtak. Whatever you were going to start this quarter, start it then.
- Rahu observance around 17 March: Venus meets Rahu in your twelfth house that morning, and the twelfth is where money disappears without a record. Blue or dark cloth given away, urad dal, mustard oil, given to a stranger rather than to family. See our Rahu-Ketu page.
- Shukra observance on Friday 19 March: two days after the exact contact, and two days before Venus reaches your own sign. White cloth, rice and ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
- Guru worship on the Thursdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 March: exalted Jupiter in your sixth house is protective but under-used, and it holds until 26 June 2027. Turmeric, chana dal, and yellow given to a teacher rather than kept. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 March: Mars is retrograde all month and debilitated in your sixth from the 10th. In the sixth house it is working for you, so this is reinforcement rather than repair. See the Mangal remedies page and Tuesday fasting.
- Reconcile the accounts from Thursday 4 March: Mercury turns direct in your twelfth house the evening before. With Sade Sati working on the second house, knowing the numbers is worth more this month than any single decision about them.
- Treat Holi week as disclosure, not decision: an eighth-house Full Moon on the 22nd surfaces a joint financial or family matter. Let it surface; settle it after 13 April, when Jupiter is direct again.
In Summary
For Kumbha Rashi, March 2027 has one date above the others: 2:59 pm on Monday 8 March, when the New Moon forms at 23°18′ of Aquarius in Purva Bhadrapada — on your own sign, inside the Moon’s transit of Aquarius from 5:34 pm on Saturday the 6th to 3:39 am on Tuesday the 9th, and six days before Holashtak. Both luminaries on your rashi is as clean a beginning as a chart offers.
The standing story is Saturn. Your own ruling planet holds your second house all month, direct, crossing from the first pada of Revati into the second, and that is the third and final phase of Sade Sati — the phase that presses on savings and on speech. The Sun joins it at 6:55 am on Monday the 15th, which makes the second fortnight the visible part of it. And on 3 June 2027 Saturn leaves for your third house and Sade Sati ends, with a short return to Pisces from 20 October before it settles in Aries on 23 February 2028.
Three things to watch. Venus meets Rahu at 7:23 am on Wednesday the 17th in your twelfth house — unaccounted expenditure, or a commitment made at a distance. The Full Moon fills your eighth house at 4:13 pm on Monday the 22nd, the day after Holika Dahan, raising joint money or a family estate. And your sixth house carries three bodies — exalted retrograde Jupiter, Ketu, and a debilitated Mars from 12:30 am on Wednesday the 10th — which in the sixth house is more protective than it sounds, but means a dispute can be ground down in March and not concluded until Mars turns direct on 1 April and Jupiter on 13 April.
The compensation is personal. The Sun is on your sign to the 15th, Mercury joins it at 5:00 am on Friday the 12th and Venus at 6:47 pm on Sunday the 21st, so you end the month better resourced in yourself than you began it, even with Kharmas closing formal beginnings from 15 March to 14 April. All of that is sign-level — which of the nine Aquarius padas holds your natal Moon, and where Saturn sits in your own chart, decides how heavily the final phase actually lands. For more, read February’s reading, what Kumbha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our Sade Sati page for the full seven-and-a-half-year picture.
Sade Sati’s last eleven weeks are worth reading properly
How the final phase closes depends on your natal Saturn, your second lord, and the dasha running — not on the Moon sign alone.
