Aquarius Rashifal May 2027 (Kumbha Rashi): Sade Sati’s Last Full Month

Saturn rules Kumbha Rashi, and for about seven and a half years it has been crossing the three signs that make Sade Sati — the twelfth house from your Moon, then your rashi itself, then the second. It is in the second now, which is the third and lightest phase, and May 2027 is its last full month there. On 3 June 2027 Saturn enters Aries and your third house, and Sade Sati lifts.

One qualification, and it is a real one. Saturn turns retrograde in Aries on 9 August 2027 and returns to Pisces — your second house — on 20 October 2027, turning direct there on 24 December 2027. So 3 June is the first lifting and not the last day of the cycle; there is one more stretch in your second house before it is finished for good, and we do not print a date for the final departure because it falls outside the range our computed tables cover.

What May adds to that is unusually kind. Venus is exalted in Pisces for the first ten days — in the same second house, with your ruler — and the two are exact at 12:18 am on Saturday 8 May, at 27°08′ of Pisces. The second house is money, speech and family. Sade Sati’s third phase is the phase where money is supposed to start coming back, and this month it gets an exalted benefic sitting in the same house to help it.

Your Ruler at the End of the Zodiac

Saturn moves from 26°18′ to 29°47′ of Pisces this month, which leaves it thirteen arc-minutes from the end of the zodiac on 31 May. It crosses from the third pada of Revati into the fourth in the first days of the month, and that puts it inside the gandanta — the unstable junction formed by the last 3°20′ of Pisces and the first 3°20′ of Aries — for every day of May. Saturn covers about 0.11° a day here, so the pada crossing is worth a day and not a minute, and we do not date it more finely.

A gandanta is a knot, and a ruler in one is the reason the last month of Sade Sati often feels worse than the eighteen before it: the pressure is nearly over and least stable at the same time. The second house is where you will feel it — in money, in what you say, in the family. Watch speech in particular. Saturn in the second house of speech, in a gandanta, in its last month, is a good description of the argument you regret.

Then it moves to your third house, which is one of the four upachaya houses where Saturn does its best work — effort, courage, siblings, communication, stamina. Exalted Venus in Your Money House, for Ten Days

Venus begins the month at 18°38′ of Pisces, exalted, in your second house. It is exact with your ruler in the first hour of Saturday 8 May, at 27°08′ of Pisces, in the fourth pada of Revati — inside the gandanta. Then it enters Aries and Ashwini at 8:45 am on Monday 10 May, losing exaltation and moving to your third house, and enters Bharani at 8:00 am on Friday 21 May.

Read plainly: the first ten days of May are the best ten days for money and for family speech that Kumbha Rashi has had in a while, because the planet of value is at maximum strength in the house of value while the planet that has been squeezing it is still there but leaving. Use them for the concrete thing — the negotiation about pay, the family conversation about money, the debt you want to renegotiate, the sum you have been meaning to put aside.

There is also a deadline further out that shapes the year: Venus goes combust on 6 July 2027 and stays combust until 17 September. A Full Moon in Your Tenth House of Career

The Full Moon forms at 4:29 pm on Thursday 20 May at 5°00′ of Scorpio, in the first pada of Anuradha — which is your tenth house, the house of career, position, authority and public standing. A Full Moon in the tenth is the most visible lunation there is: whatever you are doing professionally is more likely to be seen in that week than in any other week of May.

It is paired with the New Moon of 4:28 pm on Thursday 6 May, at 21°30′ of Aries in the third pada of Bharani, in your third house — effort, communication, short journeys, siblings. Fourteen days and one minute separate the two. The shape of the month follows from the pair: begin quietly in your own effort at the start, be seen for it around the 20th.

Two Chandra Windows, One at Each End

The Moon crosses Kumbha Rashi twice in May 2027, which only two of the twelve signs manage this month. The first window is already open when the month begins: the Moon has been on your rashi since 9:53 am on 30 April and stays until 8:23 pm on Sunday 2 May. The second runs from 5:49 pm on Thursday 27 May to 5:08 am on Sunday 30 May — fifty-nine hours and nineteen minutes.

The second window is more than nine hours longer than the shortest window the Moon gives any sign this month, and the reason is orbital: the Moon’s speed varies with its distance, so a sign takes about fifty hours to cross when the Moon is near and around sixty when it is far. Late May is the slow end of that cycle. For the usual purpose of Chandra days — beginning something, asking for something, signing something while the Moon is on your own sign — the 27th to the 30th is the better of your two windows and lands three days before Sade Sati lifts.

The Sankranti, Mercury, and Mars Opposite You

The Sun is exalted in Aries in your third house until 12:14 pm on Saturday 15 May, when Vrishabha Sankranti moves it into Taurus and your fourth house. It enters Krittika at 1:22 am on Wednesday 12 May and Rohini at 9:39 pm on Tuesday 25 May. An exalted Sun in the third house is courage that shows; in the fourth it turns inward and warms the home, sometimes uncomfortably.

Mercury covers 50°11′ in May, more than any other body, and climbs from your third house to your fifth: Taurus at 12:34 pm on Thursday 6 May and Gemini, its own sign, at 6:28 pm on Sunday 23 May. It opens the month combust, having been exact with the Sun at 2:51 am on 29 April, reaches 14° of separation around the 11th and nearly 23° by the 27th. First week: no signatures. Last week: sign.

Mars spends every day of May in your seventh house — Leo, 1°12′ to 12°49′, never leaving Magha, ending the month 31 arc-minutes short of the next nakshatra. Mars opposite the Moon sign for a whole month is the standard signature for friction with the person across from you: a spouse, a business partner, a counterparty. It is not a reason to avoid partnership this month, given what is sitting in your second house; it is a reason to be the calmer party.

Every Day of May Is Open

No closure falls anywhere in the month — no Kharmas, no Holashtak, no Chaturmas, no Adhika Maas, and neither Jupiter nor Venus combust. All 31 days are open, inside an unbroken run of 82 open days from 15 April to 5 July 2027, the longest in the two years our tables cover. It ends when Venus goes combust on 6 July.

1–7 May

The Moon is on your rashi for the first two days, until 8:23 pm on Sunday the 2nd, so the month opens inside a Chandra window. Exalted Venus sits in your money house all week with your ruler beside it. Mercury is combust in your third house at the start and reaches your fourth at 12:34 pm on Thursday the 6th, with the New Moon forming in your third house four hours later at 4:28 pm. 8–14 May

The week the month turns on. Exalted Venus is exact with your ruler at 12:18 am on Saturday the 8th, at 27°08′ of Pisces, in your second house — the best single minute of the month for a conversation about pay, a family settlement or a debt. Venus then moves to your third house at 8:45 am on Monday the 10th. Mercury clears the Sun’s glare around the 11th, so paperwork becomes safe in the second half of the week.

15–21 May

Your public week. The Sankranti moves the Sun into your fourth house at 12:14 pm on Saturday the 15th, and the Full Moon fills your tenth house of career at 4:29 pm on Thursday the 20th. If there is something professional you want seen — a launch, a presentation, an application, a claim to a position — this is the week of the month for it, and the tenth-house Full Moon is the reason.

22–28 May

Mercury reaches its own sign in your fifth house at 6:28 pm on Sunday the 23rd and its widest separation from the Sun on the 27th at nearly 23°, which makes the second half of the week the best time of the month for anything written, studied or negotiated. Your second Chandra window opens at 5:49 pm on Thursday the 27th. Saturday the 22nd is worth a Shani observance in the ordinary way.

29–31 May

Three days with the Moon on your rashi for two of them, to 5:08 am on Sunday the 30th. Mercury enters Ardra at 10:20 pm on Saturday the 29th. The month closes on Monday the 31st with your ruler thirteen arc-minutes from the end of Pisces and Sade Sati three days from lifting. This is the right stretch to begin the thing you deferred for seven years.

Career and Money for Kumbha Rashi

Career has a date: Thursday 20 May, when the Full Moon fills your empty tenth house. Its lord Mars is in your seventh house all month, so the visibility comes through a partner or a client rather than an employer, and Mars in the seventh means the same relationship is where the friction is. Handle the counterparty well in the fortnight before the 20th and the tenth-house Full Moon is a good one.

Money is the month’s real subject, because your second house holds both your ruler and, for ten days, an exalted Venus. Sade Sati’s third phase is conventionally the phase where income recovers after the pressure of the first two, and this month it gets help: the exact contact on 8 May is the moment to name a number. Rahu sits in your twelfth house of expenditure all month in Capricorn, from 22°16′ to 20°37′ and never leaving Shravana pada 4, which is the standard signature for money leaking out through things you did not plan — so the gain is real and the leak is real, and watching the outflow is worth as much as chasing the inflow.

Kumbha Rashi governs the ankles, the calves and the body’s circulation, and Saturn — your ruler, and the significator of chronic conditions, bone and teeth — is in a gandanta all month at the end of Sade Sati. The second house also covers the mouth, the throat and the teeth, which makes dental work and anything to do with the voice the specific thing to attend to in May rather than defer.

The support is good. Exalted Jupiter sits in your sixth house of health and illness all month, pulling clear of Ketu, which is protective in exactly that department; and Mercury reaches its own sign on 23 May, which helps with diagnosis and with actually keeping the appointment. Four conditions: your ruler’s last full month in your second house, in the Pisces gandanta, at the end of Sade Sati; exalted Venus in that same house for ten days and exact with Saturn on the 8th; a Full Moon in your tenth house on the 20th; and Mars opposite you for all thirty-one days.
