Pisces Rashifal January 2027 (Meena Rashi): Saturn on Your Sign, Your Ruler Exalted
Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji
Meena Rashi is the one sign in the zodiac with Saturn sitting on it this month. Saturn is in Pisces, which means it is on your own rashi — and Saturn on the natal Moon’s own sign is the second and heaviest phase of Sade Sati, the middle of the three.
And in the same month your own ruler reaches the best condition it can hold. Jupiter rules Pisces, and at 2:15 am on Monday 25 January it enters Cancer — its sign of exaltation — which is your fifth house. So January gives Meena Rashi the hardest slow transit in the system and the strongest possible version of its own lord, at the same time. That combination is the whole reading.
Saturn on Your Own Rashi: What the Peak Phase Actually Is
Sade Sati is Saturn transiting the twelfth, first and second houses from the natal Moon — roughly seven and a half years, since Saturn takes about two and a half years to a sign. The first house is the middle instalment and the one the tradition treats most seriously, because Saturn is passing directly over the Moon: the significator of the mind.
What that produces, described honestly, is weight rather than disaster. Effort stops producing proportionate results. Decisions take longer and feel heavier. Things you had been carrying loosely — a commitment, a role, a relationship that ran on habit — start to require an actual answer. It is a period in which the machinery is tested rather than one in which it breaks.
One genuine improvement: Saturn turned direct in Pisces at 5:31 am on 11 December 2026. Through much of 2026 it was retrograde, re-covering degrees it had already crossed, which is the version of the transit that feels like repetition. From January it is moving forward across your rashi towards the exit.
The Exit, in Three Steps
The dates are fixed and worth writing down, because the peak phase does not end cleanly.
- 3 June 2027: Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries. It is off your rashi, and Sade Sati moves into its third phase in your second house.
- 20 October 2027: Saturn retrogrades back into Pisces. The peak phase returns for one last instalment.
- 23 February 2028: Saturn settles into Aries. The peak phase is over for good, and the remaining third phase runs on in your second house.
So the heaviest part of the cycle has about four and a half months left in this instalment, a clear stretch from June to October 2027, and one further return before it is finished in February 2028. That is a more useful thing to know than any general characterisation of the transit, and it is arithmetic rather than opinion. Our Shani remedies page sets out the observances, and Saturday fasting is the form most commonly kept — this month the Saturdays are the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.
Your Ruler Reaches Exaltation in Your Fifth House
Jupiter is the lord of Meena Rashi, and Cancer is where Jupiter is strongest. From Pisces, Cancer is the fifth house — children, education, creative work, intelligence and, less flatteringly, speculation. Your own ruler arriving there exalted on 25 January is the strongest support available to those departments, and it arrives precisely while Saturn is pressing on your rashi. That is not a contradiction. It is the shape of the year: the general conditions are heavy and one specific channel is wide open.
The practical reading is to put weight into the fifth-house channel rather than into general effort. A child’s education, a course you take yourself, a piece of creative work, a qualification — these move under this transit in a way that ordinary professional pushing will not while Saturn sits where it is.
Three days earlier, at 5:47 pm on Friday 22 January, the Full Moon forms in the same house at 8° of Cancer, in Pushya nakshatra’s second pada — Pushya spans 3°20′ to 16°40′ of Cancer, and the second quarter runs 6°40′ to 10°00′. Pushya has two classical attributions and this month both are pointed: its ruling planet is Saturn, the planet on your rashi, and its presiding deity is Brihaspati — Jupiter, your ruler, which arrives in the sign three days later. The lunation names both halves of your year.
Five Months, Not Thirteen — and Ketu in the Same House
The exaltation is unusually short, and the reason is mechanical. Jupiter is retrograde as it crosses from Leo into Cancer, so it reverses in rather than walking in. It turns direct in Cancer on 13 April 2027 and leaves for Leo on 26 June 2027 — five months, against the thirteen a Jupiter sign-transit normally runs. The previous Cancer visit ran from 19 June 2014 to 14 July 2015, and the next is in 2038.
Ketu has been in Cancer since 5 December 2026 and stays until June 2028, so your fifth house holds Ketu and then your exalted ruler together. Ketu in the fifth reduces attachment to the outcome — which, oddly, suits the transit: it is a good configuration for doing the work and a poor one for wanting the credit. It is also a specific argument against speculation, which is the fifth house’s other department.
There is a deadline inside the window too. Mars, which turns retrograde in your sixth house on 10 January at 6:24 pm, reverses back into Cancer on 10 March 2027, where it is debilitated, and sits in your fifth house until 26 April. So the cleanest part of the fifth-house window is 25 January to early March.
And in April, an Exalted Venus on Your Sign
One more date belongs in this reading because it is the counterweight to everything above. Venus is exalted in Pisces. It reaches Pisces at 3:16 pm on 15 April 2027 — on your own rashi, in its sign of exaltation, while Saturn is still there.
An exalted Venus on the rashi during Sade Sati’s peak is about the best relief the sky offers for it: it does not remove Saturn, but it makes the same period materially and socially easier for as long as it lasts. Meena is the only rashi that gets an exalted Venus on its own sign in 2027, and the fact that it coincides with the last weeks of the peak phase before June is worth planning around. In January, Venus is in your eighth house until 11:18 pm on the 1st, then your ninth, then your tenth from the 29th.
Key Dates for Meena Rashi in January 2027
- 1 January, 11:18 pm: Venus steps out of its own Libra and out of your eighth house, into Scorpio and your ninth.
- 8 January, 1:54 am: the New Moon forms in your tenth house — 23.1° of Sagittarius, Purva Ashadha pada 3 — the professional date of the month.
- 10 January — two events: Mercury crosses into your eleventh house at 12:34 am, then Mars stations retrograde in your sixth at 6:24 pm.
- 14 January, 9:05 pm: the Sun enters Capricorn at the Makar Sankranti ingress and joins Mercury and Rahu in your eleventh house.
- 22 January, 5:47 pm: Full Moon at 8° of Cancer in your fifth house, Pushya pada 2 — ruled by the Saturn on your rashi, presided over by your ruler Jupiter.
- 25 January, 2:15 am: your ruler Jupiter enters Cancer exalted in your fifth house, joining Ketu. Holds until 26 June 2027.
- 28 January, 3:30 am: Mercury crosses into your twelfth house.
- 29 January, 6:37 pm: Venus reaches Sagittarius and your tenth house.
Week by Week
1–7 January
Venus is dignified in your eighth house for the first twenty-three hours of the year, which is a narrow but real help for anything to do with joint money, an insurance matter or a settlement. The Sun and Mercury are in your tenth house all week, so professional attention is available — and the New Moon comes to that house on the 8th, which makes this week the one for preparing rather than announcing.
8–14 January
The New Moon of Friday the 8th in your tenth house is the best-placed date of the month for a professional start: a role, an application, a public commitment. Given that Saturn is on your rashi, a tenth-house lunation is worth using rather than waiting for a better mood. Sunday the 10th brings Mercury into your eleventh house at 12:34 am and Mars turning retrograde in your sixth that evening.
15–22 January
An eleventh-house fortnight, with the Sun and Mercury joining Rahu there from the 14th — income, networks and gains all take attention, which is welcome under a Saturn on the rashi. Rahu is the caution: in the eleventh it inflates what a connection is likely to deliver. The Full Moon of Friday the 22nd falls in your fifth house and usually brings a matter involving a child, a course or a piece of creative work to a head.
23–31 January
The most important week of the month for Meena Rashi. Your own ruler reaches its exaltation in your fifth house at 2:15 am on Monday the 25th, and this is the channel to put weight into for the next five months — education, a child’s prospects, a qualification, creative work. Mercury moving to your twelfth house on Thursday the 28th makes the very end of the month quieter and more inward, and Venus takes your tenth house on Friday the 29th.
Career and Money for Meena Rashi
Career gets its opening early. The New Moon of the 8th falls in your tenth house with the Sun and Mercury both there, which is the month’s window for a professional beginning; after the 14th the tenth house empties and the attention moves to income instead. Venus arrives in the tenth on the 29th, which helps relationships at work more than position.
Money has a favourable second fortnight. Your eleventh house — income and gains — collects Mercury from the 10th and the Sun from the 14th, alongside a Rahu that has been in Capricorn since 5 December 2026. That is a genuine improvement on a Saturn-on-the-rashi year, and the Rahu caveat is the standard one: verify the number rather than the promise. What Saturn on your rashi does to money is make it feel insufficient regardless of the figure, which is worth knowing so that you check the figure instead of trusting the feeling.
Relationships and Family
The peak phase of Sade Sati is hardest on relationships not through conflict but through withdrawal — Saturn on the Moon reduces the appetite for company, and for a sign already inclined to retreat inward that compounds. The people around you are more likely to experience this year as your absence than as your difficulty. Naming that is most of what can be done about it.
Your seventh house is empty all month, so nothing forces the issue. The fifth house is where warmth is available from the 25th — an exalted Jupiter there is good for children specifically, and for the kind of shared creative or educational project that carries a relationship without requiring conversation. And 15 April 2027, when an exalted Venus reaches your rashi, is the date the year gets socially easier.
Health
Saturn on the natal Moon is classically associated with low energy, disturbed sleep and a general slowing rather than with a specific complaint. The sensible response is structural: fixed hours, moderate load, and a routine that does not depend on motivation, because motivation is the thing this transit removes.
Mars turning retrograde in your sixth house on the 10th is the second note. The sixth is the house of illness and recovery, and a retrograde Mars there tends to bring back something previously dealt with rather than introduce something new. It also argues for not escalating a treatment between the 10th and 1 April. On the positive side, your ruler exalted in the fifth from the 25th supports anything that improves the mind rather than the body — and under this particular Saturn, that is where the gain is.
Remedies for Meena Rashi in January 2027
Two facts dominate: Saturn on your rashi in the peak phase, and your own ruler exalted in your fifth house. Everything below follows from one or the other.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 January: Saturn is on your rashi in Sade Sati’s peak phase, which makes this the month’s central observance. Iron, black til and sesame oil, with the peepal lamp lit on each of the month’s five Saturdays while Saturn stands on your rashi. Both our Shani remedies page and Saturday fasting go through the detail.
- Guru worship on the four Thursdays — 7, 14, 21 and 28 January: Jupiter is your ruler and reaches exaltation on the 25th, so the 28th is the first Thursday under the new placement — and it is also the deity of the nakshatra the Full Moon falls in on the 22nd. Turmeric, chana dal and a yellow cloth — for Meena this Thursday is directed at your own ruling planet, not at a visitor. Everything else is on the remedies for a weak Guru page.
- Put the effort into the fifth house, not into general push: the single most useful line in this reading. Education, a child’s prospects, a qualification, creative work. Those move; a Saturn on the rashi means broad professional pressure does not. The clean window is 25 January to early March.
- Use the 8th for the professional start: a tenth-house New Moon with the Sun and Mercury in the same house. It is the month’s best career date and it will not be improved by waiting for a better week.
- Fix the routine rather than raising the effort: the practical counter to Saturn on the natal Moon. Set hours, sleep and food deliberately, because this is the transit under which motivation stops arriving on its own.
- No speculation: the fifth house has Ketu in it and takes a debilitated Mars from 10 March. An exalted Jupiter there is for study and children, not for stakes.
- Do not escalate the treatment between the 10th and 1 April: a retrograde Mars in your sixth house tends to revive an old complaint. Our Mangal remedies and Tuesday fasting cover the observance, on the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.
- Ketu observance, all month: Ketu is in your fifth house until June 2028 and your ruler joins it on the 25th. Black til, a grey cloth given away, and a dog fed at dusk. Our weak-Ketu remedies page covers it.
In Summary
Meena Rashi is the only sign with Saturn on it this month, and that is the second and heaviest phase of Sade Sati — Saturn passing over the natal Moon itself. The one improvement on 2026 is that Saturn turned direct at 5:31 am on 11 December 2026, so it is moving forward now rather than re-covering ground. The exit runs in three steps: off your rashi on 3 June 2027, back onto it on 20 October 2027, and clear for good on 23 February 2028, after which the cycle’s third phase continues in your second house.
Against that, your own ruler reaches its best condition. Jupiter enters exalted Cancer — your fifth house — at 2:15 am on Monday 25 January, three days after a Full Moon in the same house at 8° in Pushya pada 2, a nakshatra ruled by the Saturn on your rashi and presided over by Jupiter itself. The exaltation runs five months rather than thirteen, because Jupiter reverses into Cancer rather than walking in, and the next Cancer visit is in 2038.
The conclusion is narrower and more useful than a general forecast: while Saturn sits on your rashi, broad effort underperforms and one channel is wide open. Put the year’s weight into fifth-house matters — education, a child’s prospects, a qualification, creative work — between 25 January and early March, before a debilitated Mars joins that house on 10 March. And note 15 April 2027, when an exalted Venus arrives on your own sign, the best relief available while the peak phase still runs.
Where you are in the cycle depends on your natal Moon’s degree and on which of the nine Pisces padas holds it — Sade Sati is measured from that Moon rather than from your Sun sign, so a Moon in Purva Bhadrapada is at a different point from one in Revati. The pada decides the rest — what Meena Rashi guarantees and what it does not. Our Jupiter transit guide follows your ruler’s exaltation through every rashi, and December’s reading covers the month before this one.
How far through the peak phase are you?
Saturn crosses your rashi degree by degree, and where it is relative to your natal Moon decides how much of the peak is left. A chart reading gives you your own position in the cycle rather than the sign-level average.
