Sagittarius Rashifal March 2027 (Dhanu Rashi): Your Ruler Is Exalted in the Eighth House
Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji
Cancer is the eighth house from Dhanu Rashi, and Cancer is where Jupiter — the planet that rules your sign — is exalted. So your ruling planet is at its absolute strongest, in the one house nobody wants a planet in. Exalted, and in the eighth. That contradiction is the whole of March 2027 for a Sagittarius, and it is not resolvable by picking a side.
It is also crowded. Ketu occupies the same house, and the two were exact on Monday 1 March at 25°27′ of Cancer. Then at 12:30 am on Wednesday 10 March, Mars reverses out of your ninth house and back into Cancer, where it is debilitated, joining them. From mid-month your eighth house holds three bodies inside about four degrees of Ashlesha — your own exalted retrograde ruler, the node of severance, and the weakest form of the planet of force.
What an Exalted Ruler in the Eighth Does
The eighth house is inheritance, insurance, other people’s money, debt, litigation, surgery, the hidden, and endings that are not chosen. An exalted Jupiter there does not turn those subjects pleasant. What it does is make you competent in them. Money that comes through someone else — a settlement, a loan approved, a family inheritance, a partner’s earnings, a claim paid — is where a Sagittarius’s good fortune actually sits this year, and it holds until Jupiter leaves Cancer on 26 June 2027.
The catch is that Jupiter is retrograde through the whole of March and does not turn direct until 7:58 am on 13 April 2027, at 22°45′ of Cancer. A retrograde benefic in the eighth means the eighth-house matter is under review rather than being concluded — the claim reopened, the paperwork returned, the inheritance discussed again. March is for assembling the file, not for expecting the outcome.
Ketu beside it strips the emotional charge off the whole thing, which is more useful than it sounds. Sagittarius is not a sign that handles eighth-house subjects gracefully — you would rather be moving than settling an estate. Ketu makes the detachment easier. A debilitated retrograde Mars from the 10th is the part with no upside: pressure applied to an eighth-house matter in the second half of March will not move it, and pushing a lender, an insurer or a lawyer that fortnight simply spends goodwill.
Kantaka Shani Holds Your Fourth House
Saturn occupies Pisces all month, direct, moving from 18°49′ to 22°33′ and crossing from the first pada of Revati into the second. Pisces is the fourth house from Dhanu Rashi, and Saturn in the fourth from the Moon sign has its own name: Kantaka Shani, the thorn. It presses on the home, the mother, property, and the plain sense of being settled somewhere.
At 6:55 am on Monday 15 March the Sun enters Pisces and joins it. Sun with Saturn in the fourth is the fortnight in which the domestic weight is heaviest and most visible — a repair that will not stay fixed, a mother’s health, a landlord, a decision about where to live that keeps being deferred.
The date that matters is 3 June 2027: Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries, which is your fifth house, and Kantaka Shani ends. It is not perfectly clean — Saturn returns to Pisces on 20 October 2027 for a final stretch before settling in Aries on 23 February 2028 — but the main phase closes in June. Eleven weeks from the start of March. Knowing the end date is most of what makes the middle bearable; the observances are on our Shani dosh page.
Rahu in Your Second House, Crossed Twice
Capricorn is your second house — savings, speech, family wealth, what you own outright — and it carries Rahu all month at 25°30′ falling to 23°51′, in Dhanishta. Two planets touch it in March.
Mercury turns direct at 6:02 pm on Wednesday 3 March at 26°41′ of Capricorn — about a degree from Rahu — ending the retrograde that began at 11:05 pm on 9 February. In your second house that is a bank, a tax matter, a family financial document or a contested figure becoming answerable from Thursday the 4th. It is the most useful date in the first week and it sits in the same house as the month’s main financial risk, so use it for verification.
Then Venus meets the same node exactly at 7:23 am on Wednesday 17 March at 24°38′. Venus over Rahu in the second house is appetite dressed as opportunity: a purchase that is a want rather than a need, a scheme that promises a return, a figure quoted that nobody has checked. Combine that with an exalted-but-retrograde eighth-house ruler and the shape of the month’s money is clear — what comes through someone else is genuinely favoured; what you decide to spend on your own enthusiasm in mid-March is not.
Mercury leaves for your third house at 5:00 am on the 12th and Venus follows at 6:47 pm on the 21st, so the second house quietens in the last ten days.
A New Moon in Your Third on 8 March
The New Moon forms at 2:59 pm on Monday 8 March at 23°18′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada. Aquarius is your third house — siblings, short journeys, courage, and everything written or sent — and the Sun is in it until the 15th, with Mercury arriving on the 12th and Venus on the 21st.
A third-house New Moon is a modest but genuinely useful opening, and it lands before Holashtak begins on the 14th, which makes it one of the few dates in March that is open both astronomically and ritually. For a Sagittarius it suits starting to write something, launching a small local effort, resuming contact with a sibling, or taking the short journey you have been putting off. Set against a heavy eighth house and a thorny fourth, the third is where March gives you room to move — which for this sign is the thing that matters most.
A Tenth-House Full Moon the Day After Holi
The Full Moon forms at 4:13 pm on Monday 22 March at 7°18′ of Virgo, in Uttara Phalguni — the Phalguna Purnima that Holika Dahan is counted from, on the evening of Sunday the 21st. Virgo is your tenth house, so the brightest lunation of the month falls squarely on your career and public standing, the day after the festival.
A tenth-house Full Moon is visibility. Work you have done becomes known, for better or worse, and the week of the 22nd is when a Sagittarius is most likely to be seen doing their job. It is the month’s counterweight to the eighth house: while your ruler sits in the hidden house under review, the Moon lights up the most public house you have. If there is credit to be claimed, claim it that week rather than in the first half.
The Moon reaches Dhanu Rashi itself twice this month, which only three signs get in March 2027 — Vrishchik, Dhanu and Makar. It arrives at 4:26 pm on Monday 1 March and stays until 5:20 am on Thursday 4 March; it returns at 12:31 am on Monday 29 March and holds until 1:07 pm on Wednesday 31 March. So your Chandra days open the month and close it, and the second set covers the last three days of March entirely.
The Closures
The Sun’s entry into Pisces at 6:55 am on the 15th is the Meena Sankranti, and it opens Meena Kharmas, which runs to 14 April 2027 — weddings, house-warmings, vehicle purchases and formal beginnings closed for the whole stretch. Before it, Holashtak runs 14 to 21 March, ending at Holika Dahan on Sunday 21 March 2027.
For a Sagittarius with Kantaka Shani in the fourth house, the Kharmas closure has a practical edge: a move or a house-warming is not available between 15 March and 14 April, which means the domestic question Saturn keeps raising cannot be answered by action this month. It has to be answered by patience instead. Our griha pravesh page for March 2027 shows the day-by-day arithmetic, and the travel muhurat page covers the journeys the third house is pushing you towards.

Week by Week
Thirty-one days, Monday to Wednesday. Jupiter rules Dhanu Rashi, so Thursday is your day of the week, and there are four of them: 4, 11, 18 and 25 March.
1–7 March
The Moon is on your own sign from 4:26 pm on Monday the 1st to the small hours of Thursday the 4th, which makes the opening days the clearest-headed of the month. Your ruler is exact with Ketu in your eighth house on Monday the 1st. Then Mercury turns direct in your second at 6:02 pm on Wednesday the 3rd — from Thursday, use it to verify a figure or unstick a financial document rather than to commit to anything.
8–14 March
The New Moon lands in your third house at 2:59 pm on Monday the 8th — the month’s one clean opening, and the right one for writing, a short journey, or a sibling. Mars reverses into your eighth at 12:30 am on Wednesday the 10th, after which pressure on an eighth-house matter stops working. Mercury changes house on Friday the 12th; Saturday the 13th is the last open day before Holashtak.
15–21 March
The heaviest week. Kharmas opens with the Sun joining Kantaka Shani in your fourth house at 6:55 am on Monday the 15th, and the domestic weight peaks in that fortnight. Venus meets Rahu in your second house at 7:23 am on Wednesday the 17th, which is the week not to buy the thing you have talked yourself into. Holika Dahan is Sunday the 21st, and Venus changes house that evening.
22–31 March
The month’s best stretch. The Full Moon lights up your tenth house at 4:13 pm on Monday the 22nd — the week to be seen at work and to claim what you have earned. Then the Moon returns to Dhanu Rashi at 12:31 am on Monday the 29th and holds through to 1:07 pm on Wednesday the 31st, so the month closes on your own Chandra days. Mars sits nearly still in your eighth at 26°41′ of Cancer throughout, waiting for 1 April.
Career and Money for Dhanu Rashi
Career is quiet for three weeks and then loud. Your tenth house, Virgo, carries no planet all month, so there is no transit pressure on your work — until the Full Moon fills it on the 22nd. That makes the last ten days the part of March in which professional visibility is available, and the first three weeks the part in which nothing much is expected of you publicly. Plan accordingly rather than assuming the whole month is flat.
Money splits cleanly into two houses and they point in opposite directions. The eighth house — other people’s money — holds your exalted ruler, and that is the genuinely favoured channel this year: a settlement, a claim, a loan, a partner’s income, an inheritance. But Jupiter is retrograde until 13 April, so March is for filing and following up, not for closing. The second house — your own money — holds Rahu, has Mercury stationing beside it on the 3rd and Venus crossing it on the 17th, and that is where the month’s mistake lives. Verify on the 4th; do not commit on the 17th. Our financial remedies page covers the standing observances.
Home, Family and Partnership
Home is the month’s sore point and it has a name. Kantaka Shani in your fourth house is a long, dull pressure on the place you live and the person who made it — and with the Sun joining Saturn from the 15th, the second half of March is where it shows. Expect a repair that recurs, a cost you did not budget for, a mother’s need for attention, or the simple feeling of not being settled. It ends on 3 June 2027, which is eleven weeks out from the start of the month, and Kharmas means no move can happen before 14 April in any case.
Your seventh house, Gemini, is empty all month, so a marriage or partnership is not itself under transit pressure — but the eighth house immediately after it is very busy, and the eighth is a spouse’s money and a spouse’s family. For a married Sagittarius the likeliest March friction is not with the partner but about a joint financial matter, an in-law’s estate, or a shared liability. Handle it as accounting rather than as a relationship problem, and remember that Mars there from the 10th makes force counterproductive.
The third house is where family goes well: a New Moon on the 8th, then Mercury and Venus. A sibling, a cousin, a neighbour — the lateral relationships are March’s easy ones.
Health
Your sixth house, Taurus, is empty all month and nothing enters it, so acute illness is not indicated by transit. The health reading comes from the eighth house instead, and it is different in kind: the eighth governs surgery, chronic conditions and procedures rather than everyday sickness. An exalted Jupiter there is a favourable sign for a procedure’s outcome; a retrograde exalted Jupiter says the scheduling will slip. If something is queued, expect a delay rather than a bad result, and expect it to firm up after 13 April.
A debilitated Mars in the eighth from the 10th argues against anything elective in the second half of March, quite apart from Kharmas. Mercury turning direct on the 3rd is the best date in the month for getting a clear answer from a test or a second opinion. And Kantaka Shani in the fourth is worth reading as sleep and rest: a fourth-house Saturn is disturbed rest more often than it is illness.
Remedies for Dhanu Rashi in March 2027
Four conditions: an exalted but retrograde ruler in your eighth house with Ketu and, from the 10th, a debilitated Mars; Kantaka Shani in your fourth with the Sun joining it; Venus over Rahu in your second on the 17th; and a tenth-house Full Moon on the 22nd.
- Guru worship on the Thursdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 March: the month’s central observance, because Jupiter rules Dhanu Rashi and spends March exalted, retrograde and in your eighth house. The 4th is the one to keep, the day after Mercury’s station. Turmeric, chana dal, and yellow given to a teacher rather than kept. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 6, 13, 20 and 27 March: Kantaka Shani in the fourth house is the month’s standing difficulty and it ends on 3 June 2027. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown, and something given to someone who works with their hands. Forms on the Shani remedies page and our Shani dosh page.
- Ketu observance in the first week: Jupiter and Ketu were exact on 1 March in your eighth house. Black til, a grey cloth given away, a dog fed at your own door. See the weak-Ketu page and our Rahu-Ketu page.
- Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 March: Mars is retrograde all month and debilitated in your eighth from the 10th. The 9th, the night before it changes sign, is the pivotal one. See the Mangal remedies page and Tuesday fasting.
- Shukra observance on Friday 19 March: two days after Venus meets Rahu in your second house of savings and speech. White cloth, rice and ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
- File the eighth-house paperwork in March, expect the answer after 13 April: a retrograde exalted Jupiter rewards preparation and punishes impatience. A claim, a loan, a settlement or an estate matter should be complete on your side and left alone on theirs.
- Do not buy on the 17th: Venus over Rahu in the second house is the month’s single most likely financial error, and it is an error of enthusiasm rather than of arithmetic.
- Claim the credit in the week of the 22nd: the Full Moon fills your otherwise empty tenth house. That is the only stretch in March when your work is genuinely visible.
In Summary
For Dhanu Rashi, March 2027 is the contradiction of an exalted ruler in the worst house. Jupiter is at full strength in Cancer, which is your eighth, holding that placement until 26 June 2027 — so money and advantage arriving through someone else is genuinely favoured. But it is retrograde until 7:58 am on 13 April, Ketu is with it and was exact on Monday 1 March at 25°27′, and a debilitated Mars reverses in at 12:30 am on Wednesday the 10th. Prepare the eighth-house file; do not force it.
The standing difficulty is Kantaka Shani in your fourth house — Saturn in Pisces, direct, crossing from the first pada of Revati to the second, with the Sun joining it at 6:55 am on Monday 15 March. Home, property and your mother are where March costs you something. It ends on 3 June 2027, with a short return to Pisces from 20 October before Saturn settles in Aries on 23 February 2028.
The dated hazards and openings: Mercury turns direct in your second house at 6:02 pm on Wednesday the 3rd — verify a figure; the New Moon fills your third at 2:59 pm on Monday the 8th — the month’s one clean start, before Holashtak on the 14th; Venus meets Rahu in your second at 7:23 am on Wednesday the 17th — do not spend; Holika Dahan is Sunday the 21st; and Meena Kharmas closes formal beginnings from 15 March to 14 April.
March ends far better than it begins. The Full Moon lights your empty tenth house at 4:13 pm on Monday the 22nd, and the Moon returns to Dhanu Rashi from 12:31 am on Monday the 29th to 1:07 pm on Wednesday the 31st — the second of your two passes, closing the month on your own sign. All of that is sign-level. Which of the nine Sagittarius padas holds your natal Moon, and what your eighth and fourth houses already carry, decides how much of it lands. For more, read February’s reading, what Dhanu Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and the March 2027 griha pravesh arithmetic if the fourth-house question is the live one.
An exalted ruler in the eighth house needs reading, not summarising
Whether that placement pays out depends on your natal eighth lord, what Jupiter rules in your own chart, and the dasha running. A reading works from those.
