Sagittarius Rashifal February 2027 (Dhanu Rashi): Your Exalted Ruler Works From the Eighth House

Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji

Dhanu Rashi has the month’s most contradictory chart, and the contradiction is worth naming at the top. Jupiter, which rules your sign, is in Cancer — its exaltation, the strongest position it can hold — for all of February. But Cancer is the eighth house from Sagittarius, which is a dusthana: the house of crisis, hidden things, inheritance, insurance, longevity and research. So your ruler spends the month at maximum dignity in the least comfortable room in the chart.

Two other facts complete the picture. Venus sits on your rashi itself — the first house — from the first of the month until 3:11 pm on Wednesday 24 February, and then leaves. And Saturn is in Pisces, your fourth house, which is the position classical texts name Kantaka Shani. February is therefore comfortable at the surface, strained underneath, and unusually well protected in a way most readings will miss.

Exalted Jupiter in the Eighth: What That Actually Means

Jupiter moves from 29°09′ back to 25°32′ of Cancer this month, retrograde throughout, and stays inside a single nakshatra — Ashlesha, which spans 16°40′ to 30° of Cancer and is ruled by Mercury, with the Nagas as its deities. Ketu is in the same house, closing from 26°59′ to 25°30′, and the two close on each other all month to an exact conjunction on Monday 1 March at 25°27′ of Cancer.

The eighth house has a bad name, and much of it is deserved. But an exalted eighth-house Jupiter is the one configuration where the house’s subjects turn useful. Classically, a strong Jupiter in the eighth is protective of longevity — the eighth being the house of lifespan — and favourable for the things the eighth actually governs in ordinary life: inheritance and legacies, insurance and settlements, tax and other people’s money, and any work that involves digging beneath the surface, which includes research, diagnosis, investigation and the study of the occult.

So the practical instruction for February is specific. If there is a claim, a settlement, a will, a nomination, a joint account or a piece of unfinished paperwork involving money that is not solely yours, this is the month to take it seriously. Jupiter holds Cancer until 26 June 2027 and does not return until 2038 — that is the real window, and February is the beginning of its most concentrated stretch.

About the Ketu conjunction: the classical Guru Chandal yoga is Jupiter with Rahu, not with Ketu. Some later authorities extend the name to the Jupiter–Ketu pairing and others do not, so asserting the label would be asserting a dispute as a fact. What is not in dispute is the arithmetic — 25°27′ of Cancer, and the day, 1 March — and the general nature of Ketu, which is detachment and letting go. In the eighth house, with an exalted Jupiter, that reads less as danger than as a change of belief: something you held about death, money, or dependency quietly stops being true this spring.

One limit is worth stating so the exaltation is not oversold. Jupiter turns direct on 13 April 2027 at 7:58 am at 22°45′ of Cancer, and that is the deepest point of the entire visit — so it never comes within seventeen degrees of its parama uchcha, the point of maximum exaltation at 5° of Cancer. The exaltation is real. It is not the maximal form of it.

Kantaka Shani in Your Fourth House

Saturn spends every day of February in Pisces, direct, advancing from 16°01′ to 18°49′. Pisces is the fourth house from Sagittarius, and Saturn in the fourth from the natal Moon has its own classical name: Kantaka Shani — kantaka meaning a thorn. It sits alongside Sade Sati, which is Saturn in the twelfth, first or second, and Ardha Ashtama Shani, which is Saturn in the eighth, as one of the three named difficult Saturn transits.

What it touches is the fourth house’s territory: home, the mother, property and land, vehicles, and inner peace. Kantaka Shani is not catastrophic, and it is not Sade Sati; the honest description is a long, dull, wearing pressure on domestic life and on the sense of being settled. Property matters move slowly, the house needs work, a parent needs attention, and rest is harder to come by than the workload explains.

The dates are worth writing down, because this one has an unusual ending. Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries on 3 June 2027, which ends Kantaka Shani. Then it retrogrades back into Pisces on 20 October 2027, which resumes it. And it finally settles into Aries on 23 February 2028, which ends it for good. So Dhanu Rashi gets a four-and-a-half-month reprieve in the middle of 2027 and then one last stretch. Plan the property and household business around that shape rather than assuming June is the finish.

A smaller Saturn note: it crosses 16°40′ of Pisces on Monday 8 February and enters Revati, the twenty-seventh and last nakshatra of the zodiac, remaining there for the rest of its stay in the sign. Revati’s lord is Mercury, which is retrograde from the 9th — so the fourth house is run this month by a nakshatra whose dispositor is reversed. Domestic decisions taken now will be revisited.

Venus on Your Rashi, Until the 24th

The month’s comfort is Venus, which begins February at 2°32′ of Sagittarius — in your first house, on the rashi itself — and remains there until 3:11 pm on Wednesday the 24th, when it crosses into Capricorn and your second house.

Venus on the Moon sign is the standard significator of ease: appearance, comfort, attention from others, and a general willingness of the world to be pleasant. It is a poor transit for austerity and a good one for anything that depends on being liked. Given that Kantaka Shani is grinding away in the fourth house and an exalted Jupiter is doing serious work in the eighth, the first three and a half weeks of February are the light surface over both — which is a genuinely useful thing to know, because it means the month feels better than its structure suggests.

When Venus moves to the second house on the 24th, the emphasis shifts from your person to your money and your speech. That is not a loss, but it is the end of the easy stretch: do the things that need charm before Wednesday the 24th. Venus goes on to reach its exaltation in Pisces — your fourth house, where Saturn is — on 15 April 2027, which is the single best date this year for anything to do with the home.

The Second House, Rahu, and the New Moon

Capricorn is your second house — wealth, speech, food, and the immediate family — and Rahu sits there all month at roughly 26°. Two events land on it. The New Moon forms at 9:26 pm on Saturday 6 February at 23°24′ of Capricorn, 3°16′ short of Rahu, both in the first pada of Dhanishta. Then the Sun reaches Rahu’s exact degree at 11:05 pm on Tuesday 9 February, at 26°30′.

Rahu in the second house tends to produce an appetite that outruns the account — for spending, for food, and occasionally for saying more than the situation needs. The New Moon near it is a reasonable date to begin a financial discipline and a poor one to begin a financial commitment. And around the 9th, watch your speech in family settings; that is the specific place a second-house Rahu with the Sun on it usually shows.

February’s Dated Events for Dhanu Rashi

  • The 6th: the New Moon forms in your second house at 23°24′ of Capricorn, 3°16′ from Rahu, at 9:26 pm.
  • The 7th: Saturn enters Revati, the zodiac’s final nakshatra, in your fourth house, on Monday the 8th.
  • The 9th: Mercury stations retrograde in your third house at 11°45′ of Aquarius, at 11:05 pm.
  • The 9th again: the Sun reaches Rahu’s exact degree in your second house in the same minute, at 11:05 pm.
  • The 13th: the Sun leaves your second house for your third at the Kumbha Sankranti ingress, at 10:04 am.
  • The 18th: the Sun and retrograde Mercury meet at 5°33′ of Aquarius, in your third house, at 10:09 pm.
  • The 21st: the Full Moon fills your ninth house at 7°51′ of Leo, 1°51′ from retrograde Mars, at 4:53 am.
  • The 24th: Mercury reverses back into your second house at 4:46 am, and Venus leaves your rashi for that same second house at 3:11 pm.
  • The 2nd of March: exalted Jupiter and Ketu meet exactly in your eighth house at 25°27′ of Cancer, on Monday 1 March.
  • The 3rd of March: Mercury turns direct in your second house at 26°41′ of Capricorn, at 6:02 pm.

Week by Week

Week One: 1–7 February

Venus is on your rashi and Mercury is still direct — the best combination of the month for anything that has to be both agreed and liked. The New Moon of Saturday the 6th falls in your second house of wealth and speech, and Saturn enters Revati in your fourth house early on the Monday. Use the week for the conversation you have been putting off.

Week Two: 8–14 February

Tuesday the 9th carries two events inside the same minute: Mercury’s retrograde station at 11:05 pm, and the Sun crossing Rahu at 11:05 pm. That is coincidence rather than doctrine, but it puts a communication failure and a family or money matter on the same night. The Sun changes house on Saturday the 13th at 10:04 am, which lifts the emphasis from money to communication for the rest of the month.

Week Three: 15–21 February

A third-house week — siblings, neighbours, short journeys, writing and courage — with the Sun and retrograde Mercury meeting there exactly on Thursday the 18th at 10:09 pm. Around that date your own clarity is less available than usual, so it is a bad week to argue a technical point and a good one to redraft something. It ends with the Full Moon in your ninth house before dawn on Sunday the 21st.

Week Four: 22–28 February

Wednesday the 24th is the week’s hinge in both directions: Mercury reverses into your second house at 4:46 am, and Venus leaves your rashi for the same house at 3:11 pm. Money and speech get all the attention for the last five days, with a retrograde Mercury in charge of both — so review the accounts rather than committing them.

The Ninth House and the Full Moon

Leo is your ninth house — dharma, the father, teachers, long journeys — and Mars is retrograde in it all month, retreating from 13°06′ to 3°11′ entirely inside Magha. The Full Moon then forms on it, at 4:53 am on Sunday 21 February, at 7°51′ of Leo, 1°51′ away.

A retrograde Mars in the ninth reads as friction with an authority you are supposed to respect — a father, a teacher, an institution, a belief. The Full Moon brings it to a head around the 21st. Magha’s deities are the Pitrs, the ancestors, and its lord Ketu sits in your eighth house with Jupiter, which gives the whole configuration a lineage flavour: the argument, where there is one, is usually older than the people having it. Mars leaves Leo for Cancer at 12:30 am on 10 March, joining your eighth house, and turns direct on 1 April 2027 at 7:42 pm.

Work, Money and Health

Your tenth house, Virgo, is empty this month, so career is not where February’s action is. Work proceeds without much interference, which is its own kind of good news. Money is the busier department: the second house holds Rahu, takes the New Moon of the 6th and the Sun on the 9th, and then receives both Mercury and Venus on the 24th. With Mercury retrograde there until 3 March, the correct use of the last week is auditing rather than acquiring — check the statements, chase the discrepancy, renegotiate the existing arrangement.

On health, two things pull in opposite directions and both should be said. An exalted Jupiter in the eighth house is classically protective of longevity, which is the most reassuring placement in the chart. Against that, Mars is retrograde all month, which is the standard caution against physical intensity until it turns direct on 1 April 2027, and Kantaka Shani in the fourth house classically disturbs rest. So the month favours steadiness: keep the training load flat, treat sleep as the intervention, and get anything chronic looked at while Jupiter is where it is.

Remedies for Dhanu Rashi in February 2027

Three conditions to work with: an exalted ruler in a dusthana, Kantaka Shani in the fourth house, and Rahu in the second taking both a New Moon and the Sun.

  • Guru worship on the Thursdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 February: Jupiter rules Dhanu Rashi and is exalted until 26 June 2027, with no return to Cancer before 2038, so supporting it is the highest-value observance available to you this year. Turmeric, chana dal, a yellow cloth, and something given to a teacher; the weak-Jupiter remedies set out the forms.
  • Do the eighth-house paperwork: nominations, wills, insurance, joint accounts, claims and settlements. An exalted Jupiter in the eighth is the transit under which these go well, and they are exactly the tasks people postpone indefinitely.
  • Saturday observance for Shani — 6, 13, 20 and 27 February: Kantaka Shani runs in your fourth house until 3 June 2027, resumes on 20 October 2027, and ends on 23 February 2028. Sesame oil and iron, black til, and a lamp under a peepal after sundown; our Shani remedies page covers the observance and Saturday fasting the discipline.
  • Service to the mother, or in her name: the fourth house is the mother’s house, and a Saturn transit through it is answered better by attention than by ritual. If she is living, the visit is the remedy.
  • Rahu measures for the second house: Rahu sits at roughly 26° of Capricorn all month, three degrees from the New Moon of the 6th and exactly under the Sun on the 9th. Mustard oil given away rather than used, and feeding a stray dog, are the usual measures; the Rahu–Ketu page has the fuller set.
  • Guard your speech in family settings around the 9th: the second house governs speech as well as wealth, and this is the specific date the Sun crosses Rahu in it.
  • Shukra observance on the Fridays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 February: Venus is on your rashi for three and a half weeks, which is the month’s protection. White flowers, rice, ghee, and something given rather than bought. Friday the 19th is the last one with Venus still in your first house.
  • Tuesday restraint for Mangal — 2, 9, 16 and 23 February: Mars is retrograde in your ninth house and the Full Moon of the 21st lands 1°51′ from it. Hanuman Chalisa and red masoor; the Tuesday fast is the traditional form, and the physical restraint holds until 1 April 2027.
  • Remembrance of the ancestors around the 21st: the Full Moon is in Magha, whose deities are the Pitrs, and Magha’s lord Ketu sits in your eighth house of legacy. Water offered facing south and a simple tarpan; see the Pitra Dosh page.

In Summary

February 2027 gives Dhanu Rashi a chart that feels easier than it is and is more useful than it feels. Venus sits on your rashi until 3:11 pm on Wednesday 24 February, which is the surface comfort. Underneath it, Saturn runs Kantaka Shani in your fourth house — advancing from 16°01′ to 18°49′ of Pisces, and entering Revati on Monday the 8th — which is the slow domestic pressure the month never quite escapes.

The important placement is your ruler. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, retrograde, in your eighth house, with Ketu closing to an exact meeting on 1 March at 25°27′. That is a strong planet in a difficult house, and the way to use it is to attend to the eighth house’s real business: inheritance, insurance, settlements, joint money, and anything that requires looking beneath a surface. The window runs to 26 June 2027 and does not reopen until 2038.

The hardest morning is Sunday 21 February, when the Full Moon forms at 4:53 am at 7°51′ of Leo in your ninth house, 1°51′ from a retrograde Mars — a day for silence with fathers, teachers and institutions. The best dates are the Thursdays, and the last one before Venus leaves your rashi is Thursday the 18th.

Whether Kantaka Shani is grinding or merely tedious depends on which pada of Dhanu your Moon occupies, since the sign’s three nakshatras answer to three different lords — Mula to Ketu, Purva Ashadha to Venus, Uttara Ashadha to the Sun — and a Mula Moon reads this February’s eighth house very differently from an Uttara Ashadha one. The pada-level treatment of Dhanu Rashi works through that, the Jupiter transit guide covers your ruler’s longer arc, and January’s reading has what led into this.

When does your Kantaka Shani actually end?

Saturn leaves your fourth house on 3 June 2027, comes back on 20 October, and finally goes on 23 February 2028 — but how much of it you feel depends on your Moon’s degree. An astrologer can read that against these dates.
