Taurus Rashifal May 2027 (Vrishabha Rashi): Your Solar Return at 12:14 pm on 15 May

Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji

May 2027 has one instant in it that belongs to Vrishabha Rashi and to no other sign: 12:14 pm on Saturday 15 May, when the Sun leaves Aries and enters Taurus. This is Vrishabha Sankranti, the Sun’s sidereal entry into your own sign, and it is your annual solar return. From that midday to the end of the month the Sun is on your rashi.

Mercury gets there first, at 12:34 pm on Thursday 6 May, and stays until the 23rd. So your first house is occupied for most of the month and doubly occupied for the eight days between the Sankranti and Mercury’s departure. Your ruler, meanwhile, is going the other way: Venus is exalted in Pisces in your eleventh house, meets Saturn there at 12:18 am on Saturday 8 May, and then leaves exaltation for Aries and your twelfth at 8:45 am on Monday 10 May.

And there is a date after this month that a Vrishabha reader should write down now. Saturn is in your eleventh house all May, ending at 29°47′ of Pisces, and it enters Aries — your twelfth — on 3 June 2027. Saturn in the twelfth from the Moon sign is the first phase of Sade Sati. May 2027 is the last full month before it begins for you.

Vrishabha Sankranti: What a Solar Return Actually Does

The Sun spends the first fifteen days of May in Aries, your twelfth house, where it is exalted. Exalted in the twelfth is a strange combination — maximum strength in the house of expenditure and withdrawal — and it reads as effort that is real but unseen. At 12:14 pm on the 15th it crosses onto your own sign, entering Krittika’s later degrees, and the difference is immediate in kind rather than in scale: what you do starts being attributed to you.

The Sun then enters Rohini at 9:39 pm on Tuesday 25 May and ends the month at 15°51′ of Taurus. Rohini is the Moon’s own nakshatra and the most fertile stretch of your sign; the Sun there is a good five days for anything you want to grow rather than merely start. The whole second fortnight is your strongest run of the year for visibility, initiative and dealing with authority.

The one caution about a solar return on the Moon sign is physical. The Sun on the rashi burns as well as lights: it tends to produce heat, dryness, eye strain and a short fuse in the second half of the month. Vrishabha Rashi is a fixed earth sign that does not like being hurried, and the Sun on it hurries you.

Your Ruler’s Two Dates: 8 May and 10 May

Venus rules Vrishabha Rashi, so where Venus goes, the month goes. It begins May exalted in Pisces at 18°38′, in your eleventh house of gains, networks and elder siblings — which is close to the best combination available to your ruler: exalted, in a friendly house, and no aspect against it.

Then it meets Saturn. Venus is exact with Saturn at 12:18 am on Saturday 8 May at 27°08′ of Pisces — the first hour of the day, in your eleventh house, and inside the gandanta, the unstable junction formed by the last 3°20′ of Pisces and the first 3°20′ of Aries. Exalted Venus with Saturn in the eleventh is a gain that arrives with a condition attached, or a friend or network that asks for something in return. It is not a loss; it is a transaction that is not as free as it looked.

Two days later, at 8:45 am on Monday 10 May, Venus enters Aries and Ashwini, dropping out of exaltation into your twelfth house, and it enters Bharani at 8:00 am on Friday 21 May. Venus in the twelfth is spending, comfort, travel and rest. For the ruler of your sign to sit in the house of outgo for the last three weeks of your own solar month is the month’s central tension: the Sun says you are visible, Venus says you are paying for it. Your Fridays — 7, 14, 21 and 28 May — are the natural days to work on it, and the 7th is the one that catches Venus still exalted.

Saturn’s Last Full Month in Your Eleventh

Saturn moves from 26°18′ to 29°47′ of Pisces this month, crossing from the third pada of Revati into the fourth — which is the gandanta — in the first days of May and staying there to the end. At 0.11° a day the crossing is a matter of a day either way rather than a minute, so it is not worth publishing more precisely than that.

Saturn in the eleventh house is the placement of its own that most people are glad to have. It builds slowly and it delivers: professional networks that took years, income that arrived because you kept showing up, an older person’s backing. It has been running since Saturn entered Pisces, and it ends on 3 June 2027.

What follows is the first phase of Sade Sati, in your twelfth. That phase is about outgo and about the things you cannot see the bottom of — and it does not arrive in one clean step. Saturn turns retrograde in Aries on 9 August 2027, slides back into Pisces and your eleventh house on 20 October 2027, and turns direct there on 24 December 2027. So the practical reading of May is: collect what the eleventh house owes you now. A payment, an introduction, a favour, a decision from someone senior — ask in May, not in July. Our Sade Sati page sets out what the three phases actually mean.

Mercury on Your Rashi, and Out of the Sun’s Glare

Mercury covers 50°11′ in May, the most of any body: from 18°10′ of Aries to 8°21′ of Gemini. It reaches your first house at 12:34 pm on Thursday the 6th, holds it for seventeen days, and moves to your second house — its own sign, Gemini — at 6:28 pm on Sunday 23 May.

It is also emerging from combustion. Mercury was exact with the Sun on 29 April, so it opens the month under three degrees from it and is still burnt through the first week; the gap reaches 14° on about 11 May and widens to nearly 23° by the 27th. Combine that with the houses and the sequence is unusually clean for a Vrishabha reader: do not sign in the first week, negotiate from the 11th, and use the fortnight from the 15th — Sun and Mercury both on your rashi — for anything that needs you to be both present and articulate. From the 23rd Mercury sits in your money house in its own sign, which is the best position all month for a rate, an invoice or a price.

The Full Moon Fills Your Seventh House on 20 May

The Full Moon forms at 4:29 pm on Thursday 20 May at 5°00′ of Scorpio, in the first pada of Anuradha — directly opposite your sign, in your seventh house of marriage, partnership and open counterparties. It is fourteen days and one minute after the New Moon of 6 May, which formed in your twelfth house at 4:28 pm.

A Full Moon in the seventh with the Sun on your first is the clearest picture a chart gives of the gap between what you want and what the other person wants. Nothing is wrong; the contrast is simply lit, on both sides at once. That makes the 20th to the 22nd the best window in May for a conversation you have been deferring — and the worst for a contest of wills. The Moon is in Scorpio from 7:02 am on the 20th to 4:50 pm on Saturday the 22nd, which is the span that lunation sits inside.

Every Day of May Is Open

There is no closure anywhere in May 2027 — no Kharmas, no Holashtak, no Chaturmas, no Adhika Maas, and neither Jupiter nor Venus combust. All 31 days are open, and they sit inside an unbroken run of 82 open days from 15 April to 5 July 2027, the longest in the two years our tables cover.

The run ends for a computable reason, and it is your ruler that ends it. Venus’s angular distance from the Sun closes from about 27° on 1 May to under 20° by the 31st, and on 6 July 2027 it falls inside 10°: Shukra asta, Venus combust, which closes the marriage calendar until 17 September. For the sign Venus rules, that is the single most practical fact in this reading. See the May 2027 marriage muhurat page for qualifying dates, griha pravesh for a housewarming and the vehicle page for a purchase.

Week by Week

Thirty-one days, Saturday to Monday, so five Saturdays, five Sundays and five Mondays and only four of everything else. Venus rules Vrishabha Rashi, so your day is Friday: 7, 14, 21 and 28 May — and the 7th is the only one that catches Venus still exalted.

1–7 May

A twelfth-house week, and a poor one for paperwork: the exalted Sun and a combust Mercury are both in Aries, and Mercury is still inside three degrees of the Sun for the first days. Mercury reaches your own sign at 12:34 pm on Thursday the 6th and the New Moon forms in your twelfth four hours later at 4:28 pm — a reset about expenditure and rest rather than about action. Friday the 7th is the month’s best Venus day, with your exalted ruler in your eleventh house hours before it meets Saturn.

8–14 May

The week opens in its first hour with Venus exact with Saturn in your eleventh house, at 12:18 am on Saturday the 8th — a gain with a condition on it. Your Chandra days run from 6:55 am on the 7th to 8:56 am on Sunday the 9th, which softens it. Venus then leaves exaltation for your twelfth at 8:45 am on Monday the 10th, and Mercury clears the Sun’s glare by about the 11th. Use the second half of this week to prepare, not to launch.

15–21 May

The month’s best week and its most exposed. At 12:14 pm on Saturday the 15th the Sun crosses onto Vrishabha Rashi and your solar month begins; Mercury is already there. Then the Full Moon fills your seventh house at 4:29 pm on Thursday the 20th, opposite the Sun on your first — a partner, spouse or counterparty at the centre of the week whether you planned it or not. Every day is open, so this is the week to do formal things in.

22–28 May

Money week. Mercury leaves your sign for its own at 6:28 pm on Sunday the 23rd, landing in your second house of income and speech, and reaches its widest separation from the Sun on the 27th at nearly 23°. The Sun enters Rohini on your rashi at 9:39 pm on Tuesday the 25th. If there is a price, a rate or a salary to be discussed, this is the week for it.

29–31 May

Three days that are really the doorway to June. Mercury enters Ardra at 10:20 pm on Saturday the 29th. The month closes on Monday the 31st with the Sun on your sign, Saturn at 29°47′ of Pisces, and Sade Sati’s first phase four days away. Anything the eleventh house owes you — a payment, an introduction, a decision — is better chased now than after the 3rd.

Career and Money for Vrishabha Rashi

Your tenth house is Aquarius and it is empty all month, so career runs through the eleventh and the first instead — which is unusual and, on balance, favourable. Saturn in the eleventh is the slow accumulation of standing; the Sun arriving on your rashi on the 15th is the recognition of it. Rahu sits in your ninth house in Capricorn, moving from 22°16′ to 20°37′ and staying in Shravana pada 4 all month with no nakshatra change: an unconventional route into something that a more orthodox route would not have given you.

Money is the sharper story. The eleventh house holds Saturn and, until the 10th, your exalted ruler — income and gains — while the twelfth holds the exalted Sun until the 15th and Venus from the 10th, which is outgo. So the first ten days are when money is most likely to arrive with a string attached, and the three weeks after the 10th are when it leaves. Mercury in its own sign in your second house from 6:28 pm on the 23rd is the best negotiating position of the month. See our financial remedies page.

Home, Family and Partnership

Mars holds your fourth house of home all month, in Leo, moving from 1°12′ to 12°49′ and staying inside Magha from the first day to the last — it ends thirty-one arc-minutes short of leaving it. Mars in the fourth is friction under the roof: heat, noise, repairs, someone’s temper. It is direct and in a friendly sign, so this is manageable rather than serious, but a household argument in May is a Mars argument and is best not treated as a referendum on anything.

Your third house carries exalted Jupiter with Ketu, and the two are separating: they were exact on 20 April, are 58 arc-minutes apart on 1 May and 5°32′ apart by the 31st. Jupiter moves only 2°55′ all month, all of it in Ashlesha. Read that as advice from a sibling or a neighbour becoming trustworthy again after a confusing April.

Partnership is dated by the Full Moon of the 20th in your seventh, and by the calendar being fully open. For a Vrishabha reader considering marriage there is also a hard deadline worth respecting: Venus, your own ruler, goes combust on 6 July and stays combust until 17 September. If a wedding is being planned for 2027, May and June are the months in which to fix it.

Health

The Sun on the Moon sign from the 15th is the month’s health signature, and it is a heating one: eyes, head, blood pressure and temper. Vrishabha Rashi also governs the throat, mouth and neck, and the Sun in the sign tends to find them — a sore throat or a dental matter in the second fortnight is the ordinary form of this.

Mars in the fourth house all month adds to the heat rather than reducing it, so the practical advice for May is cooling rather than strengthening: less intensity, more water, earlier nights. Your Chandra days, from 6:55 am on Friday 7 May to 8:56 am on Sunday 9 May, are the best window of the month for beginning a regimen or a treatment — before the Sun arrives, not after.

Remedies for Vrishabha Rashi in May 2027

Four conditions: your solar return on the 15th, your exalted ruler meeting Saturn in your eleventh on the 8th and then dropping into your twelfth on the 10th, Saturn’s last full month in your eleventh before Sade Sati begins, and Mars in your fourth house in Magha all month.

  • Shukra observance on Friday 7 May above all: the one Friday of the month that catches your ruler still exalted, and the day before it meets Saturn. White cloth, rice and ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. Continue on 14, 21 and 28 May. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
  • Saturday observance for Shani — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 May: five Saturdays in Saturn’s last full month in your eleventh house, and the 8th carries the exact contact with Venus in its first hour. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown. See the Shani remedies page and Saturday fasting.
  • Surya arghya from 15 May: water offered to the rising Sun from the day it reaches your own sign, daily to the end of the month. A solar return is the one month of the year when a Sun remedy is working with your transit rather than against it.
  • Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 May: Mars holds your fourth house in Magha for the whole month. Red flowers, sindoor, Hanuman Chalisa after sunset, and a genuine effort not to have the household argument. See the Mangal remedies page and Tuesday fasting.
  • Guru worship on the Thursdays — 6, 13, 20 and 27 May: exalted Jupiter is separating from Ketu in your third house. Turmeric, chana dal, yellow given to a teacher rather than kept. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
  • Collect from the eleventh house before 3 June: the practical remedy rather than a ritual. Saturn has been building your networks and your income for two years and leaves that house on 3 June. Ask for the payment, the introduction or the decision in May.
  • Fix the wedding date in May or June: Venus is combust from 6 July to 17 September, and Venus rules your sign. Nothing in the second half of 2027 will be as clean as these two months.
  • Cooling, from the 15th: the Sun on Vrishabha Rashi with Mars in your fourth is heat in the chart. Less intensity, more water, earlier nights — and attention to the throat, which is your sign’s own part of the body.

In Summary

For Vrishabha Rashi, May 2027 turns on 12:14 pm on Saturday 15 May — Vrishabha Sankranti, the Sun’s entry onto your own sign, your solar return. Mercury is already there from 12:34 pm on the 6th and stays until the 23rd, so the second fortnight carries both the Sun and, for eight days, the planet of speech on Vrishabha Rashi. Every one of the 31 days is open, inside the longest open run our tables contain: 82 days from 15 April to 5 July.

Your ruler does the opposite. Venus starts exalted in your eleventh house, meets Saturn there at 12:18 am on Saturday 8 May inside the Pisces gandanta, and drops out of exaltation into your twelfth at 8:45 am on Monday 10 May. So May gives you visibility and charges you for it. And Venus keeps closing on the Sun: it is combust from 6 July to 17 September, which for the sign Venus rules is the real deadline in this reading.

The month behind the month is Saturn’s. It spends May in your eleventh house, ends it at 29°47′ of Pisces, and crosses into your twelfth on 3 June 2027, when Sade Sati’s first phase begins for you. Collect what the eleventh owes you before then. All of this is sign-level; which of the nine Taurus padas holds your natal Moon, and where Venus and Saturn sit in your own chart, decides how much of it lands. For more, read April’s reading, what Vrishabha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our Sade Sati page.

Sade Sati begins for Vrishabha Rashi on 3 June 2027

A solar return and the start of Sade Sati three weeks apart is worth reading against your own chart — your natal Venus, your dasha and your Moon’s pada decide which of the two dominates.
