Taurus Rashifal October 2027 (Vrishabha Rashi): Your Ruler Climbs Out of Debilitation into Its Own Sign, and Karva Chauth Falls With the Moon on Your Rashi

Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji

Venus rules Vrishabha Rashi, and it spent all of September debilitated. At 6:20 pm on Sunday 3 October that ends: Venus crosses from Virgo, the sign of its fall, into Libra, one of the two signs it owns. It moves from your fifth house to your sixth in the same instant, and then on to your seventh at 9:53 pm on Wednesday 27 October.

Second: Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October, and the entire day sits inside the Moon’s stay on your own sign. The Moon reaches Vrishabha at 6:01 am on Monday 18 October and leaves at 10:54 am on Wednesday 20 October — fifty-two hours fifty-three minutes — so the fast that is kept for the Moon is kept, this year, with the Moon on your rashi. The panchang gives the nakshatra as Krittika, three of whose four padas lie in Taurus.

Third: Saturn improves twice over on 20 October. It leaves Aries, the sign of its debilitation, retrograde into Pisces — and Pisces is your eleventh house, one of the three upachaya houses where a malefic does its least harm. Better dignity and a better room, on the same day.

From Fall to Own Sign in One Step

A debilitated ruler is the quietest kind of difficulty: nothing breaks, but nothing has any sweetness in it either. Venus governs comfort, taste, affection, ornament and the sense that life is pleasant. In its fall those things go thin. Reaching its own sign restores them, and it restores them in a house that is not usually associated with pleasure at all.

Libra is your sixth house of illness, debt, disputes and daily grind. A strong Venus there is a specific and useful thing: it does not remove the work, it makes the work civilised. Negotiations with a lender, a dispute with a neighbour, a health regimen, a difficult colleague — all of these go better with your ruler at full strength in that house from the 3rd to the 27th.

Then, at 9:53 pm on Wednesday 27 October, Venus crosses into Scorpio and your seventh house, where it is neither strong nor weak but is the natural lord of marriage sitting in the house of marriage — and it arrives the same day as Dhanteras. Across the month it covers 38°51′, from 26°34′ of Chitra to 5°05′ of Anuradha. See our Shukra remedies and Friday fasting pages.

The Moon on Your Sign for Karva Chauth

Karva Chauth is the one observance in the calendar whose culmination is the sight of the Moon itself, so where the Moon is standing that evening is not a decorative detail. In 2027 it is standing on Vrishabha, which is both the Moon’s own house of nourishment in the natural zodiac and, for you, your own rashi. That coincidence is available to no other sign this year.

Taurus is also the sign of the Moon’s exaltation, which the classical texts place in its first three degrees. The Moon is well past those degrees by the 19th — it enters the sign at 6:01 am on the 18th and crosses the exaltation zone within hours — so we are not claiming an exalted Moon for the observance. What is true, and checkable, is that the Moon spends the whole of Karva Chauth in the sign of its exaltation, on your rashi.

Two other things happen inside that same window. Tula Sankranti brings a debilitated Sun into your sixth house at 2:03 am on Monday 18 October, which is the first hours of the Moon’s stay. And the Sun and Mercury are exact at 1°47′ of Libra at 9:00 pm on Tuesday 19 October — on Karva Chauth itself, in your sixth house.

Saturn’s Double Improvement on the Twentieth

Saturn has been in Aries, your twelfth house, debilitated. A fallen Saturn in the twelfth is expenditure without benefit, sleep without rest, and the sense of paying for something you cannot identify. On 20 October it retrogrades back into Pisces and your eleventh house, and both halves of that problem improve at once.

The eleventh house is gains, networks, elder siblings and fulfilled wishes, and it is upachaya — the classical rule is that a malefic in the third, sixth or eleventh strengthens rather than damages. So from the 20th your Saturn is out of its fall and in the best of the three. It ends the month at 29°05′ of Pisces, in Revati pada 4, still retrograde.

One note on how that date is published. Saturn is moving at roughly 0.079° a day at the boundary, and at that speed the exact minute of the sign change is decided by which ayanamsa you use, not by the ephemeris. So we give the day. There is also a neat overlap: the Full Moon of 15 October forms at 27°42′ of Pisces in Revati pada 4 — the same pada Saturn reverses into five days later, in your eleventh house.

Mercury Retrograde, and a Return to Exaltation

Mercury turns retrograde at 8:06 pm on Thursday 7 October and direct again at 7:40 pm on Thursday 28 October — twenty days and twenty-three hours thirty-four minutes, two thirds of the month. Both instants are published to the minute because a station is intrinsic: it is the moment the apparent motion reverses, and no convention shifts it.

While retrograde it walks backwards out of your sixth house and into your fifth, crossing into Virgo — where it is exalted — at 8:16 am on Thursday 21 October. It then turns direct there, still exalted, on the 28th. So your house of children, study and creativity receives the sharpest planet in the sky at full strength for the last ten days of the month.

The working rule for the month: finish documents, filings and agreements before the evening of the 7th, or leave them until after the evening of the 28th. Between those dates expect to redo rather than to complete. See our Budh remedies and Wednesday fasting pages.

The Month’s Fixed Points

  • Friday 1 October — a debilitated Venus and the Sun in your fifth house; Mercury and Mars in your sixth; Jupiter at 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni in your fourth; Saturn debilitated in your twelfth; Rahu in your ninth, Ketu in your third. Sharad Navratri, which began on 30 September, is running.
  • Sunday 3 October, 6:20 pm — Venus leaves your fifth house for your sixth and is in its own sign there, out of debilitation.
  • Thursday 7 October, 8:06 pm — Mercury turns retrograde in your sixth house. Durga Ashtami falls on Thursday 7 October. The ashtami tithi spans two sunrises that year, so some panchangs place the observance a day later — check your family’s.
  • Friday 8 October, 1:21 am — Mars leaves your sixth house for your seventh and is in its own sign there for the rest of the month.
  • Saturday 9 October — Maha Navami. Dussehra falls on Saturday 9 October. That day’s panchang.
  • Saturday 9 October, 3:05 am — Venus enters Swati in your sixth house.

  • Tuesday 19 October, 9:00 pm — the Sun and Mercury are exact at 1°47′ of Libra in your sixth house; Venus enters Vishakha at 8:40 pm. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October, entirely inside the Moon’s stay on your sign.
  • Wednesday 20 October — Saturn leaves your twelfth house for your eleventh, and its debilitation ends. A day, not a minute: at 0.079° a day the boundary is ayanamsa-dependent. The Moon leaves your sign at 10:54 am.
  • Thursday 21 October, 8:16 am — retrograde Mercury reverses into Virgo and your fifth house, and is exalted there for the rest of the month.
  • Sunday 24 October, 7:01 pm — the Sun enters Swati in your sixth house.

  • Friday 29 October, 7:06 pm — the New Moon forms in your sixth house at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October, and the amavasya tithi ends at that same instant. Panchang for the day.
  • Saturday 30 October, 2:17 pm — Venus enters Anuradha in your seventh house. Govardhan Puja falls on Saturday 30 October.
  • Sunday 31 October, 7:57 am — Mars enters Jyeshtha in your seventh house. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October.

Week by Week

Thirty-one days running Friday to Sunday. Five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays; four each of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday is your ruler’s day and October gives five — the 1st with Venus still fallen, then the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th with it in its own sign.

1–7 October

Your ruler steps out of debilitation at 6:20 pm on Sunday the 3rd — the single most welcome instant of your month. Mercury is still direct until 8:06 pm on Thursday the 7th, so this is the only clean week for paperwork. Durga Ashtami falls on Thursday 7 October. Sign and file before Thursday evening.

8–14 October

Mars reaches its own sign in your seventh house at 1:21 am on Friday the 8th; Venus enters Swati at 3:05 am on Saturday the 9th; the Sun enters Chitra at 8:26 am and Mercury and Venus are exact at 3:02 pm on Monday the 11th; Mars enters Anuradha at 6:50 pm on Tuesday the 12th. Dussehra falls on Saturday 9 October. Sharad Purnima falls on Thursday 14 October.

15–21 October

Your week. Retrograde Mercury reverses into Chitra at 4:26 pm and the Full Moon forms in your eleventh house at 7:17 pm on Friday the 15th; Tula Sankranti brings a debilitated Sun into your sixth at 2:03 am on Monday the 18th, and the Moon arrives on your own sign at 6:01 am; the Sun and Mercury are exact at 9:00 pm on Tuesday the 19th; Saturn improves twice over on Wednesday the 20th and the Moon leaves at 10:54 am; Mercury reverses into Virgo, exalted, at 8:16 am on Thursday the 21st. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October.

22–28 October

An exalted Mercury sits in your fifth house of children and study all week, and turns direct there at 7:40 pm on Thursday the 28th. The Sun enters Swati at 7:01 pm on Sunday the 24th; Venus crosses into your seventh house at 9:53 pm on Wednesday the 27th. Dhanteras falls on Wednesday 27 October. Narak Chaturdashi falls on Thursday 28 October. Restart what you paused on the 7th.

29–31 October

The New Moon forms in your sixth house at 7:06 pm on Friday the 29th at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October. Venus enters Anuradha at 2:17 pm on Saturday the 30th and Mars enters Jyeshtha at 7:57 am on Sunday the 31st. Govardhan Puja falls on Saturday 30 October. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October. A sixth-house New Moon is a good place to start a health regimen or a repayment plan, and a poor place to start anything celebratory.

Career and Money for Vrishabha Rashi

Aquarius, your tenth house, is empty all month and its lord is the Saturn that improves on the 20th — so career gets better in the last third of October rather than the first. With Mercury retrograde from the 7th to the 28th, do not announce, launch or commit publicly in between; prepare instead. See our career remedies page.

Gains improve structurally. Your eleventh house takes the Full Moon of the 15th and then Saturn itself from the 20th, in an upachaya house and out of its fall. That combination reads as income arriving through effort and through the network rather than as a windfall — slow, earned and reliable. Rahu sits in your ninth house all month, from 14°09′ to 12°31′ of Shravana, which inflates plans involving travel or an institution.

The sixth house is where the month’s money conversations actually happen: your own ruler strong there from the 3rd to the 27th, both exact conjunctions there, a debilitated Sun there from the 18th, and the Diwali New Moon there on the 29th. That is a full month of debt, dues and dispute — handled, with your ruler at strength, better than it would be in most months. See our financial remedies page.

Home, Family and Partnership

Partnership fills up in the second half. Mars reaches its own sign in your seventh house at 1:21 am on the 8th and stays; Venus, the natural lord of marriage, joins it at 9:53 pm on the 27th. Mars in the seventh is direct to the point of bluntness, and Venus arriving softens it. The wedding calendar itself stays shut, because Chaturmas runs to Devuthani Ekadashi in November. See the marriage muhurat page for October 2027 and our marriage delay page.

Home is the steady part of your chart. Jupiter holds Leo, your fourth house, for all thirty-one days, moving from 19°58′ to 26°00′ of Purva Phalguni — pada 2 to pada 4 — and it is visible throughout, having emerged from combustion in September. A visible Jupiter in the fourth is the best transit there is for the home, the mother and property. If a house step is planned, see the griha pravesh page for October 2027 and the business and property page.

Children and study get a late gift: an exalted Mercury reverses into your fifth house at 8:16 am on the 21st and turns direct there on the 28th. For a student in the family the last ten days of October are worth more than the first twenty. Ketu in your third house all month keeps siblings and short journeys oddly distant — not strained, just unattended.

Health

Your sixth house of illness is the busiest house in your chart this month, which sounds worse than it is. Your own ruler sits there at full strength from the 3rd to the 27th, which is the best thing that can happen to a sixth house: it makes treatment orderly and regimens tolerable. The debilitated Sun there from the 18th and the New Moon there on the 29th argue for starting the regimen rather than assuming the problem has gone.

Vrishabha’s standing weak points are the throat, neck, thyroid and mouth, all of them Venus’s territory — which is why the 3rd matters physically as well as emotionally. Your Chandra window is 6:01 am on 18 October to 10:54 am on the 20th, fifty-two hours fifty-three minutes, and it contains Karva Chauth. Brahma muhurta on the 19th and 20th falls inside it.

Remedies for Vrishabha Rashi in October 2027

Four conditions define the month: your ruler out of debilitation and into its own sign at 6:20 pm on 3 October; Karva Chauth on the 19th falling entirely inside the Moon’s stay on your own sign; Saturn out of its fall and into an upachaya house on 20 October; and Mercury retrograde from 8:06 pm on 7 October to 7:40 pm on 28 October, ending exalted in your fifth house.

  • Shukra practice on the five Fridays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 October: your ruler is fallen on the first and in its own sign on the other four. White flowers, rice, ghee, something given to a woman in the family. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
  • Finish paperwork before 8:06 pm on 7 October, or wait until after 7:40 pm on 28 October: twenty days and twenty-three hours of retrograde Mercury sit between them.
  • Take the sixth-house work seriously between the 3rd and the 27th: your ruler is strong in the house of debt, dispute and illness. This is the month to renegotiate, repay and treat.
  • Keep Karva Chauth simple and rested: the Moon is on your own sign for the whole of the 19th, in Krittika, and the Sun and Mercury are exact in your sixth house at 9:00 pm the same evening.
  • Expect the improvement of the 20th to be quiet: Saturn out of debilitation and into your eleventh house shows up as gains that arrive on schedule rather than as good news. Do not wait for an announcement.
  • Give the student in the family the last ten days: an exalted Mercury reverses into your fifth house at 8:16 am on the 21st and turns direct there on the 28th.
  • Begin the health regimen on the Diwali New Moon: it forms in your sixth house at 7:06 pm on 29 October, at the instant the amavasya tithi ends. A sixth-house lunation starts disciplines well.

In Summary

For Vrishabha Rashi, October 2027 begins with the best news it has. At 6:20 pm on Sunday 3 October Venus, which rules your sign, leaves the sign of its debilitation for one of the two signs it owns, moving into your sixth house — and it stays there at full strength until 9:53 pm on Wednesday 27 October, when it crosses into your seventh. Across the month it covers 38°51′, more ground than any other planet.

The month’s most distinctive date is the 19th. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October, and the whole of it sits inside the Moon’s stay on Vrishabha — 6:01 am on the 18th to 10:54 am on the 20th, fifty-two hours fifty-three minutes — in Krittika, in the sign of the Moon’s exaltation. On the same evening the Sun and Mercury are exact at 1°47′ of Libra in your sixth house.

Then two structural improvements. On 20 October Saturn leaves its debilitation and your twelfth house together, retrograding into Pisces and your eleventh — an upachaya house, the best available to a malefic. And at 8:16 am on 21 October a retrograde Mercury reverses into Virgo and your fifth house, exalted, turning direct there at 7:40 pm on 28 October. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Vrishabha padas holds your natal Moon, where Venus and Saturn sit in your own chart, and which dasha is running decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read September’s reading, what Vrishabha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on Venus in Vedic astrology.

Karva Chauth with the Moon on your own sign

Whether your ruler leaving its debilitation on the 3rd changes what you can feel depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon, where Venus and Saturn sit in your own chart, and which dasha is running — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
