Of the twelve rashis, Kanya gets the best-placed version of January’s main event. Cancer is the eleventh house from Virgo, and the eleventh is the house of gains, income, networks and elder siblings — the strongest of the four upachaya houses, where effort compounds. At 2:15 am on Monday 25 January, Jupiter enters Cancer, the sign of its exaltation, and takes that house.

Three days earlier, at 5:47 pm on Friday 22 January, the Full Moon forms at 8° of Cancer, in the same house. So your eleventh house receives a Full Moon and then the best possible Jupiter transit within four days. If there is one thing to take from this month, it is that the last week of January is when to ask for what you are owed.

Why the Eleventh House Is the Right Place for This

The tradition groups four houses as upachaya — the third, sixth, tenth and eleventh — meaning houses of increase, where a planet’s work accumulates instead of dispersing. Five Months, Not Thirteen

The window is shorter than a Jupiter transit usually is, and the reason is mechanical. Jupiter is retrograde when it crosses from Leo into Cancer, so it reverses in rather than walking in. It turns direct in Cancer on 13 April 2027 and leaves for Leo on 26 June 2027: five months of exaltation rather than the thirteen a Jupiter sign-transit normally runs.

The last visit makes the contrast plain — Jupiter was in Cancer from 19 June 2014 to 14 July 2015, thirteen months in your eleventh house. The next one is in 2038. And there is an internal deadline too: Mars, retrograde from 10 January, reverses back into Cancer on 10 March 2027, where it is debilitated, and sits in your eleventh house until 26 April. So the clean part of the window is 25 January to early March. Ask in that stretch.

Ketu is already in Cancer, since 5 December 2026 and until June 2028, which means your eleventh house holds Ketu and then an exalted Jupiter together. Ketu in the eleventh tends to reduce appetite for the gain rather than the gain itself — the money arrives and matters less than you expected. Saturn in Your Seventh, and What Digbala Actually Means

Saturn is in Pisces for the whole of January, which is the seventh house from Kanya Rashi. There is a classical point worth making precisely here, because it is usually made loosely. Saturn’s digbala — directional strength — belongs to the seventh house, the western horizon, in the same way that Jupiter and Mercury have it in the first, the Sun and Mars in the tenth, and the Moon and Venus in the fourth.

The precision is this: digbala is reckoned from the ascendant, not from the Moon. The houses in a monthly rashifal are counted from the Moon sign, because that is what a rashifal is. So the neat statement — Saturn transiting its own house of directional strength — holds in full only if your ascendant is also Virgo.
