bhava lord
The 9th Lord in Each of the Twelve Houses
Houses here are whole signs: the ascendant’s sign is the 1st house, the next sign the 2nd, and so on round the zodiac. The 9th lord is the graha that rules the sign falling in the 9th, so it changes with the ascendant — Jupiter for Aries, Saturn for Taurus, Saturn for Gemini, Jupiter for Cancer, Mars for Leo, Venus for Virgo, Mercury for Libra, Moon for Scorpio, Sun for Sagittarius, Mercury for Capricorn, Venus for Aquarius and Mars for Pisces. In the Parashari method a bhava lord carries the matters of its house to wherever it sits; for the 9th those matters are luck and fortune, father's influence, higher learning, and pilgrimage.
Each page below takes one placement and works it out for all twelve ascendants: which graha, which sign it lands in, and its dignity there. None of them is a forecast. A placement is one factor; the graha’s aspects, its dispositor and the running dasha decide what it comes to in a chart.
