The 9th lord in the 10th house is the ruler of the 9th, the Bhagya / Dharma Bhava, placed in the 10th, the Karma Bhava. The 9th is a trikona and the 10th a kendra and an upachaya. Which graha that lord is depends on the ascendant, so the table below answers for all twelve.

Where the 10th lord sits in the 9th in the same chart as the 9th lord in the 10th, each lord occupies the other’s sign, an exchange the texts call parivartana. That is possible for eleven ascendants. For Taurus (Saturn) one graha rules both the 9th and the 10th, so there is nothing to exchange.
