Venus in Scorpio is in a neutral sign. Scorpio is ruled by Mars, and Venus counts Mars neutral.

The relationship runs both ways: Venus counts Mars neutral, and Mars counts Venus neutral. A mutual reading is the simpler case — the graha and its host agree about each other, so the placement does not change character depending on which of the two is stronger.

Every graha casts a full aspect on the 7th house from itself, and Venus has no special drishti beyond it, so the 7th is the whole of its reach. Counting from Scorpio, that lands on:

• 7th from Scorpio → Taurus (Vrishabha), ruled by Venus. Venus rules this sign, so it is aspecting its own house from Scorpio.

Note the one that matters: at least one sign Venus aspects from Scorpio is a sign Venus itself rules. A graha aspecting its own rashi protects it, and it is the strongest single argument for reading this placement generously.

• 1 January 2027 to 29 January 2027 — 28 days, after which Venus moves on to Sagittarius.
• 27 October 2027 to 21 November 2027 — 25 days, after which Venus moves on to Sagittarius.

Dates rather than clock times, because that is what a placement question needs. The ingress instants are computed and are printed on the monthly readings, where they matter for choosing a day.

Venus also combusts: within 10° of the Sun when direct, 8° when retrograde. A combust Venus in Scorpio is read as weakened whatever the dignity above says, which is the standard case where the textbook verdict and the actual sky disagree.

Reading Venus in Scorpio

Venus signifies marriage, the wife in a man's chart, vehicles, art, music, luxury, hotels, cosmetics. In Scorpio those significations are filtered through a sthira water sign ruled by Mars, and the dignity above says how much support they get in the process. In a neutral sign they are neither helped nor hindered, which makes everything else in the chart decide.
