Saturn in Scorpio is in an enemy's sign. Scorpio is ruled by Mars, and Saturn counts Mars an enemy.

The relationship is not mutual, and that is the most useful thing on this page. Saturn regards Mars as an enemy, but Mars regards Saturn as neutral. The classical friendship table is asymmetric, which readers almost always assume it is not. In practice it means Saturn settles into Scorpio more warily than the host intends, so the placement behaves differently depending on which of the two is the stronger graha in the chart.

Every graha casts a full aspect on the 7th house from itself, and Saturn adds the 3rd and the 10th — Saturn alone aspects the 3rd and 10th. Counting from Scorpio, that lands on:

• 3rd from Scorpio → Capricorn (Makara), ruled by Saturn. Saturn rules this sign, so it is aspecting its own house from Scorpio.
• 7th from Scorpio → Taurus (Vrishabha), ruled by Venus.
• 10th from Scorpio → Leo (Simha), ruled by Sun.

Note the one that matters: at least one sign Saturn aspects from Scorpio is a sign Saturn itself rules. A graha aspecting its own rashi protects it, and it is the strongest single argument for reading this placement generously.

Saturn rules Pushya, Anuradha, Uttara Bhadrapada, and one of them falls inside Scorpio: Anuradha. Those degrees are the part of Scorpio where Saturn is on its own ground regardless of what the sign lord thinks of it — a nakshatra lordship is a second, finer layer of dignity, and it does not have to agree with the first. When Saturn Is Actually in Scorpio

Here is the honest answer, and it is a computed one: Saturn does not enter Scorpio at any point in 2026 or 2027. The DE421 ephemeris this site computes from covers those two years, and across the whole of it Saturn never crosses into this rashi.

The negative is worth turning into a measurement, because it is one. On 1 January 2026, the first day the tables cover, Saturn stands in Pisces; by 1 January 2028 it has reached Pisces, having gone round and returned to the same rashi. From Pisces, Scorpio is a further eight signs ahead — that is how much of the zodiac still separates Saturn from this rashi when the tables run out.

That is a property of orbital period rather than an accident. Saturn takes about twenty-nine and a half years to travel the zodiac, so it spends roughly two and a half years in each sign and a two-year window can only ever reach a few of them. This page is therefore about the placement as a natal condition — what it means in a chart born with it — and not about a transit you can wait for.

Saturn also combusts: within 15° of the Sun. A combust Saturn in Scorpio is read as weakened whatever the dignity above says, which is the standard case where the textbook verdict and the actual sky disagree.

In Scorpio those significations are filtered through a sthira water sign ruled by Mars, and the dignity above says how much support they get in the process. In an enemy’s sign they meet resistance from the host, and the results tend to arrive late or in a form the native did not ask for.
