Saturn in Leo is in an enemy's sign. Leo is ruled by the Sun, and Saturn counts the Sun an enemy.

The relationship runs both ways: Saturn counts the Sun an enemy, and the Sun counts Saturn an enemy. A mutual reading is the simpler case — the graha and its host agree about each other, so the placement does not change character depending on which of the two is stronger.

Every graha casts a full aspect on the 7th house from itself, and Saturn adds the 3rd and the 10th — Saturn alone aspects the 3rd and 10th. Counting from Leo, that lands on:

• 3rd from Leo → Libra (Tula), ruled by Venus.
• 7th from Leo → Aquarius (Kumbha), ruled by Saturn. Saturn rules this sign, so it is aspecting its own house from Leo.
• 10th from Leo → Taurus (Vrishabha), ruled by Venus.

Note the one that matters: at least one sign Saturn aspects from Leo is a sign Saturn itself rules. A graha aspecting its own rashi protects it, and it is the strongest single argument for reading this placement generously.

Dignity runs in both directions, and the rashi has its own roster. Leo runs from 120°00′ to 150°00′ of sidereal longitude — the arc the Sun crosses about Aug 17 – Sep 16 — faces east, is classed male, and as a fire sign is of the Kshatriya varna. Within those thirty degrees:

Saturn rules Pushya, Anuradha, Uttara Bhadrapada, and none of them falls in Leo. So across all thirty degrees there is no stretch where Saturn has nakshatra-level ownership to fall back on; the whole sign is read through the Sun, and through what the Sun makes of a guest it counts an enemy. When Saturn Is Actually in Leo

Here is the honest answer, and it is a computed one: Saturn does not enter Leo at any point in 2026 or 2027. The DE421 ephemeris this site computes from covers those two years, and across the whole of it Saturn never crosses into this rashi.

The negative is worth turning into a measurement, because it is one. On 1 January 2026, the first day the tables cover, Saturn stands in Pisces; by 1 January 2028 it has reached Pisces, having gone round and returned to the same rashi. From Pisces, Leo is a further five signs ahead — that is how much of the zodiac still separates Saturn from this rashi when the tables run out.

That is a property of orbital period rather than an accident. Saturn takes about twenty-nine and a half years to travel the zodiac, so it spends roughly two and a half years in each sign and a two-year window can only ever reach a few of them. This page is therefore about the placement as a natal condition — what it means in a chart born with it — and not about a transit you can wait for.

Saturn also combusts: within 15° of the Sun. A combust Saturn in Leo is read as weakened whatever the dignity above says, which is the standard case where the textbook verdict and the actual sky disagree.

Saturn signifies longevity, karma, labour, servants, old age, iron, coal, and delay itself. In Leo those significations are filtered through a sthira fire sign ruled by the Sun, and the dignity above says how much support they get in the process. In an enemy’s sign they meet resistance from the host, and the results tend to arrive late or in a form the native did not ask for.
