• 14 August 2027 to 31 August 2027 — 17 days, after which Mercury moves on to Virgo.

Mercury also combusts: within 14° of the Sun when direct, 12° when retrograde — and Mercury is never far from the Sun, so combustion is common. A combust Mercury in Leo is read as weakened whatever the dignity above says, which is the standard case where the textbook verdict and the actual sky disagree.
