Cancer Rashifal February 2027 (Karka Rashi): Exalted Jupiter Closes on Ketu on Your Own Rashi
Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji
Karka Rashi is the one sign carrying the whole of this transit on its own back. Cancer is the sign of Jupiter’s exaltation, Jupiter arrived there on 25 January, and it is sitting on your rashi for every day of February — retrograde, moving from 29°09′ back to 25°32′. Ketu has been in Cancer since December 2026, and closes from 26°59′ to 25°30′ this month. The two are converging, and they will not stay a degree apart for long.
On Monday 1 March, one day after this month ends, exalted Jupiter and Ketu meet exactly at 25°27′ of Cancer. February is the approach: the gap closes from about three and a half degrees at the start of the month to under two-thirds of a degree by the 21st. Everything else in your chart this month is read against that single fact.
What a Jupiter and Ketu Conjunction Actually Is
Take the two bodies separately first. Jupiter exalted on your own rashi is the strongest general benefic placement available to you: confidence, teachers, weight in a room, the sense of being backed. Ketu on the rashi is detachment — a diminished appetite for the very thing you are being given, and an instinct to give away rather than accumulate.
Put them at the same degree and the honest description is that the support arrives and you find yourself strangely uninterested in using it for yourself. That is not a warning; for many people it is the most productive version of a good Jupiter. It tends to be spent on other people, on teaching, on a cause, or on a decision to simplify — and to be regretted only when it was spent absently rather than deliberately.
A note on terminology, because you will meet the phrase. Guru Chandal Yoga is classically defined as Jupiter conjunct Rahu; some later texts extend the label to Jupiter with Ketu, and some do not. What is not in dispute is the arithmetic: the two bodies reach the same degree of Cancer on 1 March, and they do it again on 20 April 2027 at 22°50′, because Jupiter turns direct in between and passes Ketu a second time going forwards.
The Exaltation Never Reaches Its Deepest Point
This is the part of the transit most readings get wrong, and it matters most to Karka Rashi. A planet’s exaltation has a specific deepest degree — its parama uchcha — and for Jupiter that is 5° of Cancer. Jupiter entered Cancer at the very end of the sign on 25 January, retrograde, and it retreats through February.
The lowest degree it reaches in the entire visit is 22°45′, at its direct station on 13 April 2027 at 7:58 am. From there it turns and walks forwards again, leaving Cancer for Leo on 26 June 2027 at 4:48 am. So Jupiter is exalted on your rashi for five months and never comes within seventeen degrees of its strongest position. It also never leaves one nakshatra: Ashlesha spans 16°40′ to 30° of Cancer, and Jupiter’s whole visit fits inside it.
The practical consequence is a precise one. If your natal Moon sits above 22°45′ of Cancer — the upper reaches of Ashlesha — this transit passes directly over it and you will feel it as described. If your Moon is anywhere below that, in Pushya or in Punarvasu’s fourth pada, Jupiter never reaches it on this visit at all, and the next opportunity is 2038. Two people who are both Karka Rashi can have entirely different years out of the same transit, and the difference is the degree.
Your Seventh House Is Where the Traffic Is
Capricorn is the seventh house from Cancer, and February fills it. Rahu has been there since December 2026. The New Moon forms in it at 9:26 pm on Saturday 6 February, at 23°24′ — three degrees and sixteen minutes short of Rahu, in the same quarter of the same nakshatra. Then at 11:05 pm on Tuesday 9 February the Sun crosses Rahu exactly, at 26°30′.
And the house refills at the end of the month. At 4:46 am on Wednesday 24 February retrograde Mercury reverses back into Capricorn; at 3:11 pm the same day Venus enters it going forwards. Two planets into your partnership house on one Wednesday, from opposite directions, ten hours and twenty-five minutes apart.
Read the axis rather than the houses separately. Jupiter and Ketu are on your rashi; the Sun, Rahu, the New Moon, Mercury and Venus are opposite them in the seventh. That is the self-and-other axis loaded at both ends, which is the classic signature of a month where a relationship or a business partnership becomes the medium through which you find out what you actually want. Venus arriving on the 24th is the kindest thing in it. Rahu is the part that exaggerates, and a partnership proposal made under a seventh-house Rahu deserves the second reading it will survive or fail.
A Full Moon on Retrograde Mars in Your Second
Mars is retrograde in Leo — your second house of savings, speech and family resources — all month, sliding from 13°06′ to 3°11′, the whole retreat inside Magha nakshatra. At 4:53 am on Sunday 21 February the Full Moon forms at 7°51′ of Leo, which puts it 1°51′ from Mars: same house, same nakshatra, under two degrees apart.
A retrograde Mars in the second house shows up as money leaving faster than planned and as speech that is sharper than intended — the two classical readings of that house under pressure. With the Full Moon on it on the 21st, that is the date something about the household budget or a family financial arrangement surfaces. Magha’s deities are the Pitrs, the ancestors, and its dispositor Ketu is on your rashi this month, which is why the Pitra Dosh observances are more appropriate around the 21st than any new financial commitment would be.
Saturn in Your Ninth, and What It Is Not
Saturn is in Pisces all month, the ninth house from Cancer, direct, advancing from 16°01′ to 18°49′. On Monday 8 February it crosses 16°40′ and enters Revati, the twenty-seventh and last nakshatra of the zodiac, where it stays until it leaves Pisces on 3 June 2027.
It is worth being explicit about what this is not. Counted from the natal Moon, Saturn’s difficult houses are the twelfth, first and second — the three phases of Sade Sati — along with the eighth, Ardha Ashtama Shani, and the fourth, Kantaka Shani. Its three favourable houses are the third, sixth and eleventh. The ninth is on neither list. Karka Rashi is under none of the named Saturn conditions this year, and a ninth-house Saturn is generally read as slow-moving matters of law, teachers and long journeys rather than as affliction.
The Month in Order
- At 9:26 pm on Saturday 6 February, the New Moon forms in your seventh house at 23°24′ of Capricorn, Dhanishta pada 1, three degrees short of Rahu.
- On Monday 8 February, Saturn enters Revati in your ninth house, the last nakshatra it occupies before Aries.
- At 11:05 pm on Tuesday 9 February, Mercury stations retrograde in your eighth house; at 11:05 pm, in the same minute, the Sun crosses Rahu in your seventh.
- At 10:04 am on Saturday 13 February, the Sun leaves your seventh house for your eighth at the Kumbha Sankranti ingress.
- At 10:09 pm on Thursday 18 February, the Sun meets retrograde Mercury at 5°34′ of Aquarius, in your eighth house.
- At 4:53 am on Sunday 21 February, the Full Moon fills your second house at 7°51′ of Leo, 1°51′ from retrograde Mars.
- At 4:46 am and 3:11 pm on Wednesday 24 February, Mercury reverses into your seventh house and Venus enters it going forwards.
- On Monday 1 March, exalted Jupiter and Ketu meet exactly at 25°27′ of Cancer, on your own rashi.
Week by Week
1–7 February
The clearest week of the month, with Mercury still direct. The New Moon of Saturday the 6th sits in your seventh house, which makes it the date to open a conversation with a partner or a prospective one — before the 9th, and with Rahu’s three-degree proximity in mind. Saturn moves into Revati early on Monday the 8th.
8–14 February
Tuesday the 9th carries the two events inside the same minute, and from there the month asks you to revisit rather than to begin. The Sun crosses into your eighth house on Saturday the 13th at 10:04 am, which turns the attention towards shared money and away from the partner directly. Do not conclude a partnership question between the 9th and the 13th.
15–21 February
An eighth-house week: the Sun with retrograde Mercury, meeting exactly on Thursday the 18th at 10:09 pm. Insurance, tax, a loan, a joint account — this is the week to re-examine one of them, and a poor week to take on a new one. It closes with the Full Moon on your retrograde Mars, in your second house, at 4:53 am on Sunday the 21st.
22–28 February
Wednesday the 24th brings Venus into your seventh house, which is the best relational setting the month offers, alongside Mercury reversing into the same house that morning. Talk in the last week; sign after Mercury turns direct on 3 March. And by the 28th, Jupiter and Ketu are within two-thirds of a degree of each other on your rashi.
Relationships and Partnership
This is the month’s live department, and the reading is genuinely mixed rather than diplomatically mixed. In its favour: Venus in the seventh house from the 24th, and an exalted Jupiter on your rashi giving you more to bring to the table than you have had in years. Against it: Rahu in that seventh house, the New Moon three degrees from it, the Sun crossing it exactly on the 9th, and Mercury retrograde through the middle of the month.
What that combination usually produces is a real opportunity described in inflated terms. The advice is not to avoid it; it is to slow it down. A proposal — personal or commercial — that is worth taking will still be there in the second week of March, when Mercury is direct and the Sun has moved on from Rahu. One that evaporates when you ask for a week was Rahu rather than opportunity.
Money and Work
Your second house — savings — has a retrograde Mars in it all month and a Full Moon on the 21st, which is the pressure point. Your eighth house takes the Sun and retrograde Mercury from mid-month, which is the department of loans, tax and other people’s money. So February is not a good month to increase a commitment; it is a good month to restructure one, which is exactly what an eighth house under a retrograde Mercury supports.
On work, an exalted Jupiter on the rashi is the thing that changes your standing, and it does so by making you more credible rather than busier. Karka Rashi tends to underuse that. The five-month window closes on 26 June 2027 and the next one is in 2038, which is a strong argument for asking for the thing you would normally wait to be offered.
Health
Nothing in this chart presses on health structurally — no Sade Sati, no eighth-house or fourth-house Saturn. The two notes are Ketu on your rashi, which classically dulls appetite and interest more than it causes anything acute, and a retrograde Mars, which for everybody argues against increasing training volume before Mars turns direct on 1 April 2027. If you feel oddly indifferent to your own routines this month, that is Ketu on the Moon sign rather than anything wrong.
Remedies for Karka Rashi in February 2027
Four conditions: an exalted but retrograde Jupiter on the rashi, Ketu closing on it to the same degree, a seventh house holding Rahu and a New Moon three degrees from it, and a retrograde Mars carrying a Full Moon in the second house.
- Guru worship on the Thursdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 February: Jupiter is exalted on your own rashi until 26 June 2027 and will not be again until 2038, which makes this the most worthwhile observance on the list. Turmeric, chana dal and a yellow cloth; and because Ketu is at the same degree, give something away deliberately rather than absently. See the weak-Jupiter remedies for the forms.
- Ketu observance through the whole month: Ketu is on your rashi and reaches Jupiter’s exact degree on 1 March. Black til, a grey cloth given away, a dog fed at your own door. The weak-Ketu remedies page sets these out.
- Ask for the thing rather than waiting to be offered it: the practical use of an exalted Jupiter on the rashi, and the instruction Karka Rashi is least likely to follow. The window is five months, not thirteen.
- Give the seventh-house proposal a week: Rahu is in that house, the New Moon formed three degrees from it and the Sun crossed it on the 9th. A week’s delay costs nothing and separates the real offer from the inflated one.
- Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 2, 9, 16 and 23 February: for a Mars retrograde in your second house with a Full Moon landing on it. Sindoor, a chola offering and the Hanuman Chalisa; the Mangal remedies and Tuesday fasting cover the usual forms.
- Keep the second-house speech in check on the 21st: the Full Moon is 1°51′ from a retrograde Mars in the house of speech. What is said that morning tends to be remembered longer than it deserves.
- Remembrance of the ancestors around the 21st: the Full Moon falls in Magha, whose deities are the Pitrs and whose lord Ketu is on your rashi. Water offered facing south, and a simple tarpan.
- Restructure rather than borrow, until 3 March: your eighth house holds the Sun and a retrograde Mercury for most of the second fortnight. That configuration favours reworking an existing liability and disfavours taking a new one.
In Summary
February 2027 is Karka Rashi’s month in the most literal sense: the transit everyone else is reading about is happening on your rashi. Exalted Jupiter and Ketu spend the month converging in Ashlesha and meet exactly at 25°27′ of Cancer on Monday 1 March. The support and the detachment arrive together, which is worth planning for rather than being surprised by.
The correction most readings need: this exaltation never reaches its deepest degree. Jupiter’s parama uchcha is 5° of Cancer, and the furthest back Jupiter gets is 22°45′ at its direct station on 13 April 2027. So it crosses natal Moons above 22°45′ of Cancer and never touches a single one below that degree. Your own reading turns on which side of it you sit.
Opposite it, your seventh house carries the month’s traffic: Rahu throughout, the New Moon at 9:26 pm on Saturday the 6th three degrees from it, the Sun’s exact crossing of Rahu at 11:05 pm on Tuesday the 9th, and then both Mercury and Venus arriving on Wednesday the 24th. Partnership is the medium of the month. Also live: a retrograde Mars in your second house with a Full Moon 1°51′ from it on the 21st, and Saturn moving into Revati in your ninth house on the 8th under none of the classical afflictions.
Because everything here turns on your natal Moon’s degree rather than on the sign, the companion reads matter more than usual this month: what Karka Rashi settles and what the pada decides works through Punarvasu, Pushya and Ashlesha separately, the Jupiter transit guide takes the exaltation across all twelve rashis, and January’s reading covers the arrival itself.
Does this Jupiter reach your Moon?
Jupiter never gets past 22°45′ of Cancer on this visit, so whether it crosses your natal Moon depends on the degree. A chart reading answers that in one calculation — and tells you what 2038 is for.
