Capricorn Rashifal June 2027 (Makara Rashi): Kantaka Shani Begins on 3 June

Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji

The month’s main event for Makara Rashi is your own ruler arriving somewhere it would rather not be. On 3 June 2027, Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries, which for Capricorn means it leaves your third house and enters your fourth. Saturn in the fourth house from the Moon sign is Kantaka Shani, one of the three Saturn passages the tradition names for difficulty — and Saturn arrives debilitated, since Aries is its sign of fall.

For most rashis Saturn is a visiting stranger. For yours it is the lord of the sign, so this transit is your own ruler pressing on your own house of home, mother and belonging. That is worth being straightforward about rather than softened. It is also worth being accurate about, and the arithmetic is much kinder than the name: Saturn reaches only 3°38′ of Aries in 2027 before turning retrograde, and steps back out of your fourth house from 20 October to 23 February 2028. Kantaka Shani begins in June and then pauses for four months in the autumn.

Two other things are yours alone this month. Rahu is on your rashi and changes pada on 12 June, and the Moon gives Makara Rashi sixty-one hours and two minutes on the sign from 21 to 24 June — the longest single-sign window any rashi gets in June 2027. All 30 days of June are open: no Kharmas, no Chaturmas, and neither Jupiter nor Venus combust.

Kantaka Shani: Your Own Lord in Your Fourth House

Saturn moves from 29°47′ of Pisces to 2°18′ of Aries across June, crossing the boundary on 3 June 2027 and entering Ashwini pada 1 at the same instant. The date carries no minute, and for once the reason is arithmetic rather than caution: Saturn is travelling at 0.098° a day at that boundary, so the crossing instant shifts by hours depending on which ayanamsa a calendar uses. Our table says 4:39 am. We publish the day, because the minute cannot be defended.

The fourth house is home, mother, property, vehicles and the underlying sense of having somewhere solid to stand. Kantaka Shani — the name means thorn — is the transit that puts a persistent, low-grade irritation into exactly that area: a property matter that will not close, a repair that keeps recurring, a parent who needs more care than before, a move considered and abandoned, or simply a stretch of feeling unhoused while living in your own house.

Debilitation is the part that gets misread. It does not mean Saturn cannot bite. What a fallen Saturn loses is its reliability — the endurance, the structure, the slow useful discipline that makes a hard Saturn transit worth having gone through. So expect the friction without the compensating build. And there is a real loss on the other side of the same ingress: Saturn spent two and a half years in your third house, which is one of the few places it works well, supplying persistence and staying power. That support goes when the thorn arrives.

The staging, in full, because it decides how to plan the year: retrograde 9 August 2027 at 3°38′ of Aries, back into Pisces and your third house on 20 October, direct on 24 December, and settled into your fourth house for good on 23 February 2028. June also has Saturn spending all thirty days inside the Revati–Ashwini gandanta, the most unstable junction in the zodiac, which is why the first month of the transit feels shakier than what follows. The observances are on our Shani dosh page.

Rahu Changes Pada on Your Own Sign on 12 June

Rahu has been on Makara Rashi since December 2026 and stays until 24 June 2028. In June it retreats from 20°37′ to 19°02′, and on 12 June it crosses 20°00′ — the boundary between the fourth pada of Shravana and the third. That is the first pada change Rahu has made on your sign in months, and it is the kind of detail that only matters if you know where your own natal Moon sits.

This date carries no time either, and for the same reason as Saturn’s: Rahu is moving backwards at 0.053° a day, roughly half Saturn’s speed at its own boundary. At that rate the crossing instant is not a defensible number in any calendar — two ayanamsas half an arc-minute apart put it a day either side. So June gives Makara Rashi two of the month’s slowest events, and both of them get the day rather than the minute.

Shravana is Vishnu’s ear, the nakshatra of listening and of reputation carried by word of mouth. Rahu there tends to produce noise about you rather than by you: being talked about, being misquoted, being credited or blamed for something at second hand. Moving from the fourth pada to the third shifts the emphasis slightly — less about status, more about what is heard. Ketu sits opposite in your seventh house, crossing into Ashlesha pada 1 at the same instant on the 12th. Our Rahu–Ketu page covers the axis.

Exalted Jupiter’s Last Twenty-Five Days in Your Seventh House

Jupiter is at 26°09′ of Cancer on 1 June, exalted, in your seventh house of marriage and partnership, and crosses 26°40′ into Ashlesha pada 4 on Friday 4 June. It leaves for Leo and your eighth house at 4:48 am on Saturday 26 June, entering Magha and losing its exaltation at the same instant. Jupiter does not return to Cancer, and so is not exalted again, until 2038.

Exalted Jupiter in the seventh is the best partnership transit available, and this is the last month of it for eleven years. Two honest qualifications. The visit was short — 25 January to 26 June 2027, about 152 days rather than the thirteen months a Jupiter sign-transit normally runs, because Jupiter reversed into the sign while retrograde and only turned direct on 13 April. And Jupiter spends June in the last four degrees of Cancer, well past its degree of deepest exaltation, so this is the tail of the transit rather than its peak.

The complication is Ketu in the same house. Jupiter with Ketu is Guru–Chandal, which muddles judgement and makes good advice feel suspect — and in the seventh house that reads as difficulty reading the other person, or well-meant counsel about a relationship that is hard to weigh. The gap widens across the month: 5°32′ apart on the 1st, 11°49′ by the 30th. So the clouding lifts gradually, and from the 26th your seventh house holds Ketu alone.

After the 26th Jupiter is in your eighth house, where Mars has been all month. They never conjoin: Jupiter enters at 0° while Mars is already past 25°, and the faster Mars pulls away, so the gap widens from 25°04′ on the 26th to 26°53′ by the 30th. Jupiter holds Leo until 26 November 2027, returns 28 February 2028, and leaves that July.

Sixty-One Hours: The Longest Chandra Window in June

The Moon reaches Makara Rashi at 11:48 am on Monday 21 June and leaves at 00:50 on Thursday 24 June: sixty-one hours and two minutes. That is the longest stretch the Moon spends on any of the twelve signs in June 2027 — for comparison, Gemini gets the shortest at forty-eight hours thirty minutes, a spread of twelve and a half hours between the two.

The reason is distance, not favour. The Moon’s orbit is not a circle, and it moves visibly slower when it is further from the Earth — so whichever sign it happens to be crossing near its farthest point gets the longest window of that month. In June 2027 that sign is yours. It is a genuinely useful two and a half days: the Moon on your own rashi is the best condition for beginning anything personal, and you get more of it than anyone else this month. Monday the 21st and Wednesday the 23rd both fall inside it.

The Month’s Fixed Points

  • Tuesday 1 June, 6:57 am — Venus enters Krittika in your fourth house.
  • Wednesday 2 June, 3:40 am — Mars enters Purva Phalguni in your eighth house, where it stays twenty-seven days.
  • 3 June 2027Saturn, your ruler, leaves your third house for your fourth, debilitated: Kantaka Shani begins. Ashwini pada 1 at the same instant. The day, not the minute.
  • Friday 4 June, 00:37 — Venus reaches Taurus, its own sign, in your fifth house. Exalted Jupiter crosses into Ashlesha pada 4 in your seventh the same day.
  • Saturday 5 June, 1:10 am — the New Moon forms in your fifth house at 19°42′ of Taurus, in Rohini pada 3. That day’s panchang.
  • Tuesday 8 June, 7:26 pm — the Sun enters Mrigashira, in your fifth house.
  • Thursday 10 June, 11:44 pm — Mercury turns retrograde in your sixth house, in its own sign.
  • 12 JuneRahu crosses 20°00′ on your own rashi, from Shravana pada 4 into pada 3, and Ketu crosses into Ashlesha pada 1 in your seventh at the same instant. Too slow for a time. Venus enters Rohini in your fifth at 5:30 am the same day.
  • Tuesday 15 June, 6:50 pm — the Sun leaves your fifth house for your sixth. Mithuna Sankranti. Panchang for the day.
  • Saturday 19 June, 6:14 am — the Full Moon fills your twelfth house at 3°18′ of Sagittarius, in Moola pada 1, two arc-minutes inside the Scorpio–Sagittarius gandanta.
  • The Moon holds Makara Rashi from 11:48 am on Monday 21 June to 00:50 on Thursday 24 June — sixty-one hours two minutes, the longest such window of the month.
  • Tuesday 22 June, 6:30 pm — the Sun enters Ardra, in your sixth house.
  • Wednesday 23 June, 1:29 pm — the Sun is exact with Mercury at 7°25′ of Gemini, in your sixth house. Venus enters Mrigashira the same morning.
  • Thursday 24 June, 9:03 pm — retrograde Mercury reverses back into Mrigashira.
  • Saturday 26 June, 4:48 amexalted Jupiter leaves your seventh house for your eighth, entering Magha and losing its exaltation. Not exalted again until 2038.
  • Monday 28 June, 2:35 pm — Venus leaves your fifth house for your sixth.
  • Tuesday 29 June, 00:38 — Mars enters Uttara Phalguni in your eighth house, with Jupiter now in the same sign.

Week by Week

Thirty days, Tuesday to Wednesday. Saturn rules Makara Rashi, so your day is Saturday — 5, 12, 19 and 26 June, four of them — and the first of them falls two days after your ruler changes houses.

1–7 June

The week the year’s shape changes. Your ruler crosses into your fourth house on the 3rd; Venus reaches its own sign in your fifth at 00:37 on Friday the 4th; exalted Jupiter moves into its last pada in your seventh the same day; and the New Moon forms in your fifth at 1:10 am on Saturday the 5th — a good lunation for children, study and creative work. Mercury is direct and clear of the Sun all week, so this is where the month’s paperwork belongs.

8–14 June

One deadline and one quiet marker. Mercury turns retrograde at 11:44 pm on Thursday the 10th, in your sixth house of work and health. Then on Saturday the 12th — your own weekday — Rahu changes pada on your rashi, Ketu changes pada in your seventh, and Venus enters Rohini in your fifth at 5:30 am. Nothing loud, but three slow things move on the same day.

15–21 June

The Sun crosses into your sixth house at 6:50 pm on Tuesday the 15th at Mithuna Sankranti and Mercury goes combust there about the same time — work and health become the theme and neither runs smoothly. The Full Moon fills your twelfth house at 6:14 am on Saturday the 19th, in a gandanta degree: the twelfth is expenditure, sleep and things done unseen, so expect a cost or a tiredness to surface rather than an event. Then the week turns favourable on Monday the 21st, when the Moon reaches your own sign at 11:48 am.

22–28 June

Your best days and your biggest loss, in the same week. The Moon is on Makara Rashi until 00:50 on Thursday the 24th — use Tuesday and Wednesday for anything personal. The Sun is exact with retrograde Mercury in your sixth house at 1:29 pm on Wednesday the 23rd. And exalted Jupiter leaves your seventh house at 4:48 am on Saturday the 26th, which is your weekday and the last one it is exalted for. Venus follows into your sixth at 2:35 pm on Monday the 28th.

29–30 June

Two days in the new arrangement. Mars enters Uttara Phalguni at 00:38 on Tuesday the 29th, with Jupiter now in your eighth house too. The month closes on Wednesday the 30th with your ruler debilitated at 2°18′ of Aries in your fourth, Rahu at 19°02′ on your own sign, and your seventh house holding Ketu alone.

Career and Money for Makara Rashi

Your tenth house is empty for all thirty days, and its lord Venus spends most of June dignified in your fifth — so professionally the month is steady rather than eventful, and what happens will happen because you initiate it. The place to watch is your sixth house of work and routine, which holds Mercury retrograde from the 10th, the Sun from the 15th and Venus from the 28th: three planets in the house of daily grind, with the one governing documents moving backwards and burnt through most of it. Expect the work to be reorganised rather than increased. Our career remedies page has the standing observances.

Money needs one clear caution. Your second house is empty, but the twelfth house of expenditure takes the Full Moon on the 19th, and Kantaka Shani in the fourth is the transit most likely to generate an unbudgeted house or vehicle cost — a repair, a deposit, a family expense connected with property. And with exalted Jupiter leaving your seventh on the 26th, anything that depends on a partner’s agreement or a partner’s money is easier to arrange before that date than after it. Settle figures before Thursday 10 June, while Mercury is direct. See the financial remedies page.

Home, Family and Partnership

Home is the department this month is about. Kantaka Shani beginning on the 3rd puts your own ruler, weakened, on your fourth house for the rest of the year barring the autumn reprieve. The practical form this usually takes is not drama but attrition: the thing that needs fixing, the parent who needs visiting, the arrangement that needs renegotiating, all arriving slightly slower than you can clear them. What genuinely helps is doing the boring maintenance early — Saturn punishes deferral more than anything else — and using 20 October 2027 to 23 February 2028, when Saturn steps back into your third, for anything structural.

Partnership, by contrast, has its best month in eleven years and it expires on the 26th. Exalted Jupiter in your seventh house until 4:48 am on Saturday 26 June is the transit under which an agreement is granted rather than fought for. For a Makara reader considering marriage, engagement or a partnership agreement, the arithmetic points at 4 to 10 June: Jupiter still exalted, Venus newly in its own sign in your fifth, Mercury still direct. Every day of June is open. The marriage muhurat page for June 2027 lists the qualifying dates, griha pravesh works the housewarming arithmetic — worth reading carefully with Kantaka Shani starting — and the vehicle page covers a purchase. Venus is a morning star closing from 19°32′ to 11°52′ of the Sun across June and goes combust on 6 July 2027, after which the calendar shuts until 17 September.

One favourable note for children and study. Venus is in its own sign in your fifth house for twenty-four days, the Sun is there until the 15th, and the New Moon forms in that house on the 5th. That is a good stretch for an admission, a course, a performance, or a matter concerning a child — and it is worth deliberately putting into the first two weeks, before the sixth-house traffic takes over.

Health

Your sixth house of illness gets busy from mid-month: retrograde Mercury from the 10th, the Sun from the 15th, a combustion through the back half, and Venus from the 28th. That configuration usually means an existing matter being revisited — a test repeated, a prescription reviewed, a diagnosis questioned — rather than something new. It is a good month for a second opinion and a poor one for starting a treatment you have not researched.

The Full Moon in your twelfth house on the 19th, at a gandanta degree, points at sleep and depletion rather than illness. Against all of that you have the best beginning-window of the month: 11:48 am on Monday 21 June to 00:50 on Thursday 24 June, sixty-one hours of the Moon on your own sign. That is where a regimen, a diet or a course of treatment belongs if it can wait, and Monday the 21st is a clean start. Kantaka Shani has a long, low physical signature too — the fourth house rules the chest, and Saturn there rewards rest taken deliberately.

Remedies for Makara Rashi in June 2027

Four conditions: Kantaka Shani beginning on the 3rd with your own ruler debilitated in your fourth house, Rahu changing pada on your rashi on the 12th, exalted Jupiter’s last twenty-five days in your seventh, and Mercury retrograde and burnt in your sixth.

  • Saturday observance for Shani — 5, 12, 19 and 26 June: Saturn rules Makara Rashi and enters your fourth house on the 3rd, debilitated and inside the gandanta. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown, and something given to someone who works with their hands. The 5th, the first Saturday of the transit, is the one to keep properly. Forms on the Shani remedies page and Saturday fasting.
  • Rahu observance, all month, and especially on the 12th: Rahu is on your own rashi until 24 June 2028 and changes pada on the 12th. A grey or dark blue cloth given away, mustard oil, urad dal, and food offered to someone you will not meet again. Because Ketu sits opposite in your seventh, the joint forms apply — see the joint observances and our Rahu-Ketu page.
  • Guru worship on the Thursdays — 3, 10, 17 and 24 June: the last four Thursdays of exalted Jupiter in your seventh house, and its last exaltation until 2038. Turmeric, chana dal, yellow given to a teacher rather than kept; the 24th is the last before it leaves. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
  • Shukra observance on the Fridays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 June: Venus is in its own sign in your fifth house of children and study for twenty-four days, in its last full month before combustion. White cloth, rice and ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
  • Something for the mother, and for the house: the fourth-house form of the remedy, and the one that matters most while Kantaka Shani runs. A visit rather than a call; a repair done rather than deferred; a lamp lit at home in the evening. Saturn responds to work actually completed, not to intention.
  • Do the maintenance in the first week: not a ritual, the practical reading. Anything to do with the house, the vehicle or a property document is easier before Mercury turns retrograde at 11:44 pm on Thursday the 10th and much harder after the 15th.
  • Use the twenty-one to twenty-four June window: sixty-one hours of the Moon on your own sign, the longest any rashi gets this month. Begin the thing you have been putting off there, and do not let it pass on the argument that the month is difficult — that is precisely why the window is worth spending.

In Summary

For Makara Rashi, June 2027 is the month Kantaka Shani begins. Your own ruler Saturn leaves your third house on 3 June and enters your fourth, debilitated, and spends all thirty days inside the Revati–Ashwini gandanta. The arithmetic is the consolation: Saturn reaches only 3°38′ of Aries this year before turning retrograde on 9 August, steps back into your third house from 20 October to 23 February 2028, and only then settles. Two instalments, with four months of relief in the middle.

Two slower things are yours alone. Rahu changes pada on your own rashi on 12 June, crossing 20°00′ from Shravana pada 4 into pada 3 at 0.053° a day — too slow, like Saturn’s ingress, to carry a defensible time. And the Moon gives Makara Rashi sixty-one hours and two minutes on the sign, from 11:48 am on Monday 21 June to 00:50 on Thursday 24 June: the longest single-sign window of anyone’s June, against Gemini’s forty-eight and a half hours, and the best beginning available to you all month.

The thing with a deadline is your partnership house. Exalted Jupiter holds your seventh until 4:48 am on Saturday 26 June and is not exalted again until 2038, with the Guru–Chandal clouding easing across the month from 5°32′ to 11°49′. Anything that needs another person’s yes belongs in the first three weeks — ideally 4 to 10 June, before Mercury turns retrograde in your sixth house. All of this is sign-level; which of the nine Capricorn padas holds your natal Moon, and how close it sits to Rahu’s 20°, decides how much of it lands. For more, read May’s reading, what Makara Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our Shani dosh page.

Kantaka Shani begins for Makara Rashi on 3 June 2027

Saturn reaches only 3°38′ of Aries this year, and Rahu sits at 19°02′ on your own sign by month end — whether either touches your natal Moon depends on its degree.
