Capricorn Rashifal March 2027 (Makar Rashi): Three of the Month’s Four Exact Events Land on Your Own Sign
Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji
March 2027 has four exact planetary events, and for Makar Rashi three of them happen on your own sign. Rahu occupies Capricorn for the whole month — 25°30′ falling to 23°51′, in Dhanishta. Mercury turns direct on Capricorn at 6:02 pm on Wednesday 3 March, at 26°41′, about a degree from that node. And Venus meets Rahu exactly at 7:23 am on Wednesday 17 March at 24°38′ of Capricorn — on your sign.
Most signs experience a month as something happening in their houses. For a Capricorn, March happens to you directly. Rahu on the Moon sign is the classic transit of restlessness with no visible cause: an itch to change something about your circumstances, a dissatisfaction that arrives before any reason for it, and a tendency to be more persuasive than accurate about your own plans. When Mercury stations on it and Venus crosses it, that gets amplified twice on dated instants.
Mercury Turns Direct on Your Sign on 3 March
Mercury had been retrograde since 11:05 pm on 9 February 2027. It stops and reverses course at 6:02 pm on Wednesday the 3rd at 26°41′ of Capricorn, then moves forward and leaves your sign for your second house at 5:00 am on Friday 12 March.
A Mercury station on the Moon sign is the single most useful date in the month for a Capricorn, and it is useful in a narrow way: what was garbled becomes clear. A conversation that kept misfiring, an application that was returned, a document that would not go through, a decision you kept changing your mind about — from Thursday the 4th, those unstick. Since it happens a degree from Rahu, the honest instruction is to use it for clarification rather than for commitment. Get the answer; do not sign on the strength of the relief.
The nine days from the 3rd to the 12th are therefore the month’s working window. Mercury is direct, on your own sign, and moving forward. After the 12th it is in your second house and the clarity is about money rather than about you.
Venus Over Rahu on Your Sign on 17 March
Venus enters the month at 5°10′ of Capricorn and spends nearly three weeks crossing your sign, meeting Rahu exactly at 7:23 am on Wednesday the 17th at 24°38′. It crosses into Shravana in the small hours of Friday 5 March and into Dhanishta at 5:27 am on Tuesday the 16th, so the contact is built up over two nakshatras. It leaves for your second house at 6:47 pm on Sunday 21 March, on Holika Dahan.
Venus with Rahu on the Moon sign is desire without a brake. It is the most flattering transit in the month and the most misleading one: you will find yourself unusually attractive to yourself, unusually convincing to others, and unusually willing to commit to something on the basis of how it feels. In practice that shows up as an impulsive purchase, an appearance-related decision, or an attachment formed quickly. The week of the 15th to the 21st is the one to make no irreversible choice in.
Usefully, the ritual calendar agrees. Holashtak runs 14 to 21 March and Meena Kharmas opens on the 15th, so weddings, house-warmings and vehicle purchases are closed for exactly the stretch in which a Capricorn is least equipped to make one. That is not coincidence so much as the reason the closures exist.
Your Seventh House Holds Three Bodies
Directly opposite all of this sits your seventh house, Cancer — marriage, business partnership, and anyone you deal with across a table. Ketu is there, opposite Rahu. Jupiter is there and it is exalted in Cancer, retrograde, and it was exact with Ketu on Monday 1 March at 25°27′. Then at 12:30 am on Wednesday 10 March, Mars reverses back into Cancer, debilitated, and joins them.
So the axis of the month is Rahu on you and three bodies on your partner. Read plainly: the other person is generous — exalted Jupiter in the seventh is one of the better things that can happen to a marriage or a partnership — while you are the restless one. Ketu in the seventh is their detachment; the debilitated Mars from the 10th is friction that neither of you can force to a conclusion.
All three sit inside about four degrees of Ashlesha. Both Mars and Jupiter are retrograde: Mars turns direct at 7:42 pm on 1 April 2027 at 26°41′ of Cancer, Jupiter at 7:58 am on 13 April 2027 at 22°45′. Nothing in a partnership gets settled in March. Exalted Jupiter holds your seventh house until 26 June 2027, which is a genuinely good year for the relationship — but the month to conclude anything is not this one.
Your Ruler in Your Third House — and What Starts in June
Saturn rules Makar Rashi, and it holds Pisces all month, direct, moving from 18°49′ to 22°33′ and crossing from the first pada of Revati into the second. Pisces is your third house, and the third is one of the placements where Saturn works for you rather than against you: it rewards persistence in effort, short journeys, correspondence and sheer stubbornness. Saturn is also comfortable being your ruler, so this is the quietest part of your chart right now.
At 6:55 am on Monday 15 March the Sun joins it there, and a Sun-Saturn fortnight in the third is plain hard work with visible output.
The date to write down is 3 June 2027, when Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries — your fourth house — and Kantaka Shani begins for Makar Rashi. Saturn in the fourth from the Moon sign presses on the home, the mother and the feeling of being settled, and for you it is your own ruling planet doing it. Saturn returns briefly to Pisces on 20 October 2027 before settling in Aries on 23 February 2028, so the onset is staggered. What it means practically is that any domestic matter better handled with a light Saturn — a repair, a purchase, a move, a conversation with your mother — is better handled in the next eleven weeks than after them. The observances are on our Shani dosh page.
A New Moon in Your Second, a Full Moon in Your Ninth
The New Moon forms at 2:59 pm on Monday 8 March at 23°18′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada. Aquarius is your second house — savings, speech, and what you own outright — and the Sun is in it until the 15th, with Mercury arriving on the 12th and Venus on the 21st. A second-house New Moon is a good date to start a savings arrangement, restructure a small debt, or begin something to do with earning rather than being paid. It falls before Holashtak, which makes it the month’s one clean opening.
The Full Moon forms at 4:13 pm on Monday 22 March at 7°18′ of Virgo, in Uttara Phalguni — the Phalguna Purnima that Holika Dahan on the 21st is counted from. Virgo is your ninth house: dharma, the father, the teacher, long journeys and higher study. That is a favourable place for a Full Moon, and it is the month’s counterweight to a restless first sign. Holi week is the week for a long journey, for time with a father or a teacher, or for something you believe in rather than something you want.
The Moon reaches Makar Rashi itself twice this month, which only three signs get in March 2027 — Vrishchik, Dhanu and Makar. It is on your sign from 5:20 am on Thursday 4 March to 5:34 pm on Saturday 6 March — immediately after Mercury’s station, which is a useful pairing — and returns at 1:07 pm on Wednesday 31 March to close the month.
The Closures
The Sun’s entry into Pisces at 6:55 am on the 15th is the Meena Sankranti, and it opens Meena Kharmas, which runs to 14 April 2027. Weddings, house-warmings, vehicle purchases and formal beginnings are closed for the whole of it. Holashtak runs 14 to 21 March, ending at Holika Dahan on Sunday 21 March 2027.
For a Capricorn this is the month’s most practical protection. The first thirteen days are open, and they contain both Mercury’s station on your sign and a second-house New Moon. Everything after the 14th is closed, and the closed stretch is precisely where Venus crosses Rahu on you. Our vehicle muhurat page for March 2027 works through the day-by-day arithmetic, and the business and property page covers a registration or a purchase.

Week by Week
Thirty-one days, Monday to Wednesday. Saturn rules Makar Rashi, so Saturday is your day of the week, and there are four of them: 6, 13, 20 and 27 March. There are five Wednesdays — 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 — and three of them carry a dated event.
1–7 March
The month’s best week and the one to do business in. Exalted Jupiter is exact with Ketu in your seventh on Monday the 1st. Then Mercury turns direct on your own sign at 6:02 pm on Wednesday the 3rd, and the Moon arrives on Makar Rashi at 5:20 am on Thursday the 4th and stays until Saturday evening. Clarity plus your own Chandra days, in the same three days. Use them.
8–14 March
The New Moon lands in your second house at 2:59 pm on Monday the 8th — the right date to start a savings arrangement or restructure a small liability. Mars reverses into your seventh at 12:30 am on Wednesday the 10th, after which a partnership dispute stops being winnable by force. Mercury leaves your sign on Friday the 12th. Saturday the 13th is the last open day before Holashtak.
15–21 March
The week to be careful in, and the one the closures cover. Kharmas opens with the Sun joining your ruler in your third house at 6:55 am on Monday the 15th. Venus crosses into Rahu’s nakshatra on Tuesday the 16th and meets the node exactly on your sign at 7:23 am on Wednesday the 17th. No purchase, no proposal, no commitment made on how it feels. Holika Dahan is Sunday the 21st, and Venus leaves your sign that evening.
22–31 March
A better close. The Full Moon fills your ninth house at 4:13 pm on Monday the 22nd — Holi week is for a long journey, a teacher, or a father. Rahu is alone on your sign for the rest of the month, which is quieter than having Venus on it. The Moon returns to Makar Rashi at 1:07 pm on Wednesday the 31st, and Mars sits nearly still in your seventh at 26°41′ of Cancer, waiting for 1 April.
Career and Money for Makar Rashi
Your tenth house, Libra, is empty all month and no planet enters it, so career is not under transit pressure at all. That is unusual for a Capricorn and worth using: with no external push on your work, March is a month to consolidate rather than to compete. Saturn in your third supports exactly that — persistent, unglamorous effort that accumulates.
Money has a clear structure. The second house gets the New Moon on the 8th and then Mercury and Venus, so savings and earning are actively in play in the second half. The risk is not there but on your own sign, on the 17th, where Venus over Rahu produces the expensive impulse. And the seventh house — a partner’s money, a business partner’s contribution — holds an exalted but retrograde Jupiter, meaning a favourable arrangement that will not finalise before 13 April. Prepare it in March; sign it in the second half of April. Our financial remedies page covers the standing observances.
Marriage, Partnership and Family
The seventh house is the busiest part of your chart and the reading is unusually specific. An exalted Jupiter there says the other person is bringing something good — patience, money, standing, or simply the willingness to be reasonable. Ketu there says a certain amount of emotional distance is present and is not a crisis. A debilitated retrograde Mars from the 10th says the arguments in the second half of March are old ones that neither of you can resolve by force.
Put against Rahu on your own sign, the honest instruction is uncomfortable: in March 2027, the restlessness is yours. If a partnership feels constraining that month, the transit says to sit with that feeling rather than act on it, because it is Rahu’s and not the relationship’s. Jupiter holds the seventh house until 26 June 2027, and it turns direct on 13 April — after which the same house becomes the place where something good gets concluded. Our marriage-delay page covers the standing remedies if a match is the live question, and Kharmas closes a wedding from 15 March to 14 April in any case.
The ninth house Full Moon on the 22nd points to a father or a teacher, and it is the warmest relationship note in the month. The fourth house is quiet now and becomes the long story from 3 June, when Kantaka Shani begins.
Health
Your sixth house, Gemini, is empty all month, so nothing acute is indicated by transit. The health reading for a Capricorn in March is about the first house instead, and Rahu on the Moon sign has a consistent signature: sleep that is shorter than it should be, nervous energy without an outlet, and a tendency to over-consume — food, screens, stimulants — as a way of managing restlessness. Venus arriving on the same sign through mid-March makes the over-consumption version likelier than the under-sleeping one.
Two dates are useful. Mercury turning direct on your sign on the 3rd is the month’s clearest window for getting an answer out of a test or a consultation, since it rules both the nerves and the reporting of them. And your Chandra days from the 4th to the 6th, immediately after, are the best stretch in March for anything that needs a settled mind. The 22nd to the 26th is the natural rest window at the other end.
Remedies for Makar Rashi in March 2027
Four conditions: Rahu on your own sign all month, Mercury stationing on it on the 3rd, Venus crossing it exactly on the 17th, and a seventh house holding an exalted retrograde Jupiter, Ketu and a debilitated Mars.
- Rahu observance, and specifically around 17 March: the month’s central remedy, because Rahu is on Makar Rashi for all thirty-one days and Venus meets it exactly on the 17th. Blue or dark cloth given away, urad dal, mustard oil, and something given to a stranger rather than to family. Our Rahu-Ketu page and the Kaal Sarp Dosh page cover the node work.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 6, 13, 20 and 27 March: Saturn rules your sign and is in the favourable third house, but it enters your fourth on 3 June 2027 and Kantaka Shani begins. These four Saturdays are worth keeping as preparation rather than as relief. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown. See the Shani remedies page.
- Shukra observance on Friday 19 March: two days after Venus meets Rahu on your own sign, which is the month’s most flattering and least reliable moment. White cloth, rice and ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
- Guru worship on the Thursdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 March: exalted Jupiter in your seventh house is the best thing in your chart this year and it holds until 26 June 2027. The 4th is the one to keep, the day after Mercury’s station. Turmeric, chana dal, yellow given rather than kept. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 March: Mars is retrograde all month and debilitated in your seventh from the 10th, which is why a partnership argument will not resolve by pressure. The 9th is the pivotal one. See the Mangal remedies page, Tuesday fasting, and our Mangal dosh page.
- Do the month’s business between 3 and 12 March: Mercury direct on your own sign, your Chandra days on the 4th to the 6th, a second-house New Moon on the 8th, and Holashtak still a week away. That is the whole of March’s open ground.
- Make no irreversible decision in the week of the 15th: Venus over Rahu on your sign. The closures already prevent the formal versions; the informal ones are on you.
- Settle the domestic matter before June: a repair, a purchase, a move or a conversation with your mother is easier with Saturn in your third than it will be with Saturn in your fourth from 3 June 2027.
In Summary
For Makar Rashi, March 2027 is a month that happens on you rather than around you. Rahu sits on Capricorn for all thirty-one days, moving from 25°30′ to 23°51′ in Dhanishta. Mercury turns direct on your sign at 6:02 pm on Wednesday 3 March at 26°41′, a degree from that node. Venus meets it exactly at 7:23 am on Wednesday 17 March at 24°38′. Three of the month’s four exact events land on your own sign, and the fourth is opposite it.
The two dates read in opposite directions. The 3rd is clarity: something garbled becomes answerable, and the nine days to the 12th are the month’s working window — reinforced by your Chandra days from 5:20 am on Thursday the 4th to 5:34 pm on Saturday the 6th, and by a second-house New Moon at 2:59 pm on Monday the 8th. The 17th is appetite: the most persuasive and least reliable moment of the month, sitting inside Holashtak and Meena Kharmas, which close a wedding, a house-warming or a vehicle purchase from 15 March to 14 April.
Opposite you, your seventh house is crowded. Exalted retrograde Jupiter was exact with Ketu on Monday the 1st at 25°27′ of Cancer, and a debilitated Mars reverses in at 12:30 am on Wednesday the 10th. The partner is the generous one this month and the restlessness is yours. Nothing there concludes before Mars turns direct on 1 April and Jupiter on 13 April; the placement itself holds until 26 June 2027.
Saturn, your own ruler, works quietly for you in your third house all month, joined by the Sun at 6:55 am on the 15th — and enters your fourth on 3 June 2027, when Kantaka Shani begins. The Full Moon lands well, in your ninth house at 4:13 pm on Monday the 22nd, and the Moon returns to Makar Rashi at 1:07 pm on Wednesday the 31st. All of that is sign-level: which of the nine Capricorn padas holds your natal Moon, and what your own first and seventh houses carry, decides how much of it you feel. For more, read February’s reading, what Makar Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and the March 2027 business and property arithmetic.
Rahu on your Moon sign is a chart question, not a sign question
How much a nodal transit on the first house actually costs depends on your natal Rahu, your first lord, and the dasha running. A reading works from those.
