Libra Rashifal September 2027 (Tula Rashi): Mars Holds Your Sign for Thirty Days and Saturn Faces It From Your Seventh
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
Mars spends every one of September’s thirty days on Tula Rashi, covering just over twenty degrees — from 4°54′ of Chitra to 25°05′ of Vishakha, crossing three nakshatras on the way. And for every one of those thirty days, Saturn stands directly opposite in your seventh house, debilitated in Aries and retrograde.
The two malefics facing each other across your own axis is the whole month in one sentence. But the arithmetic softens it, and the arithmetic is worth having: the opposition is separating. On 1 September Mars is one degree forty-one minutes past the exact facing point; by the 30th it is twenty-three degrees thirty-five minutes past it. Mars moves forward, Saturn drifts backwards, and the gap between them widens all month. The pressure is heaviest in the first week and lightest in the last.
There is a classical footnote that belongs to Tula alone. Libra is Saturn’s exaltation sign. So this month Saturn looks at the one sign where it would be strongest — from the one sign where it is weakest — and finds Mars standing there. Add the month’s general property, that September 2027 contains no exact conjunctions at all after eight in August, and you have a month of sustained tension without a single detonation.
What Mars on the Rashi Actually Does
Mars on the janma rashi raises heat, speed and irritability. For Tula — the sign that weighs, balances and waits — it is a foreign temperature. The useful reading is that September gives you unusual decisiveness and an unusually short fuse in the same package, and the skill lies in spending the first and rationing the second.
Its two nakshatra crossings mark the tone. Mars enters Swati at 4:44 pm on Friday 3 September — Swati is ruled by Rahu and is the most restless part of your sign — and Vishakha at 2:51 pm on Thursday 23 September, which is ruled by Jupiter and considerably steadier. The last week of the month is the calmest stretch of Mars’s stay.
Mercury arrives on your sign at 6:15 pm on Tuesday 21 September, leaving its exaltation in Virgo to do so, and enters Swati at 5:22 pm on the 28th. Mercury with Mars on the rashi for the last nine days is a talkative, sharp-tongued combination — excellent for argument and negotiation, poor for tact. See our Mangal remedies, Tuesday fasting and Mangal dosh pages.
Your Ruler Falls Into Your Twelfth
Venus rules Tula Rashi, and in September it does two unhelpful things at once. It leaves Leo — your eleventh house of gains — at 2:36 pm on Thursday 9 September, and crosses into Virgo, where it is debilitated, and which is your twelfth house of expenditure and loss. It stays there, weak, for the rest of the month.
Shukra asta ends on 17 September, so your ruler also becomes visible again after a long spell behind the Sun — visible in its sign of fall, in your house of outflow. That is not a disaster, but it is a specific and legible caution: money leaves quietly in the second half of September, and the things it leaves for are comfort, appearance and other people’s convenience.
There is a gentler side. The twelfth house also governs rest, retreat, private practice and letting go, and a visible Venus there favours those in a way it does not favour spending. If there is something you have been meaning to stop doing, the second half of the month is when stopping comes easily. See our Shukra remedies and Friday fasting pages.
Jupiter Becomes Visible in Your House of Gains
The month’s good news is dated to 15 September, when Guru asta ends and Jupiter becomes visible again after a month behind the Sun — in Leo, your eleventh house of income, gains, elder siblings and networks. Jupiter holds that house for all thirty days, running 13°33′ to 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni.
Jupiter is the great benefic and the eleventh is the house of return on effort. A month of invisibility ending there means the second half of September is when things you set going earlier begin to pay, and when asking a network for help works. September opens with the Sun and Venus in that house as well; the Sun leaves at 2:04 pm on Friday 17 September, so Jupiter holds it alone, and visible, for the last fortnight.
Set against the Mars-Saturn axis, this is how the month balances: your own axis is under pressure while your house of gains is quietly improving. The instruction that follows is to keep working through discomfort rather than to withdraw from it.
A Fifth-House Full Moon and a Twelfth-House New Moon
The Full Moon forms at 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September at 28°36′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada pada 3 — your fifth house of children, creativity, study and romance — with the Moon two hours forty minutes from leaving that sign. A fifth-house Full Moon shows you the state of something you have made or someone you have raised. For Tula it is the month’s one clearly pleasant lunation.
The New Moon, at 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September, forms at 12°30′ of Virgo in Hasta pada 1 — in your twelfth house, alongside your debilitated ruler. A twelfth-house New Moon is not a good place to launch anything public; it is a good place to begin something private — a practice, a retreat, a quiet decision to withdraw from something.
The two lunations bracket Pitru Paksha exactly — fourteen days and three and a half hours from the Full Moon to the New Moon — and the New Moon instant is simultaneously where Sarva Pitru Amavasya ends and Sharad Navratri begins. One moment on the clock, not three. See our pitra dosh page.

Week by Week
Thirty days running Wednesday to Thursday. Five Wednesdays and five Thursdays; four each of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Friday is Venus’s day and your sign’s day, and September gives you four — the 3rd and 10th with your ruler still combust, the 17th the day it becomes visible, the 24th visible and debilitated.
1–7 September
The tightest week, because Mars is closest to exact opposition with Saturn at the start of it. Mars enters Swati at 4:44 pm on Friday the 3rd; the Moon arrives on your sign at 3:16 am on Saturday the 4th for fifty-three hours thirty-one minutes and crosses Mars that same day. Hartalika Teej falls on Friday 3 September. Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Saturday 4 September. Expect friction with a partner or an authority and do not force a resolution this week.
8–14 September
Your ruler weakens. Venus crosses into Virgo and debilitation, in your twelfth house, at 2:36 pm on Thursday the 9th. The Sun enters Uttara Phalguni at 3:56 am on Tuesday the 14th. Anant Chaturdashi falls on Tuesday 14 September. Money begins to leak in ways that will only be visible later; write down what you spend this week and next.
15–21 September
The turn. Jupiter becomes visible in your eleventh house of gains on Wednesday the 15th; the Full Moon forms in your fifth at 4:33 am on Thursday the 16th; Kanya Sankranti moves the Sun into your twelfth at 2:04 pm on Friday the 17th, the same day your ruler becomes visible; and Mercury joins Mars on your sign at 6:15 pm on Tuesday the 21st. Pitru Paksha begins on Wednesday 15 September. Ask the network for what you need after the 15th.
22–28 September
The most articulate and least diplomatic week of the month, with Mercury and Mars together on your sign. Mars enters Vishakha at 2:51 pm on Thursday the 23rd, which steadies it. The Sun enters Hasta at 7:29 pm on Monday the 27th; Venus enters Chitra at 9:34 am and Mercury enters Swati at 5:22 pm on Tuesday the 28th. Good for negotiation, bad for anything that needs charm — and charm is usually your instrument.
29–30 September
The New Moon forms in your twelfth house at 8:06 am on Thursday the 30th at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1 — the same instant that closes Pitru Paksha and opens Sharad Navratri. Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on Thursday 30 September. Begin something private rather than something public.
Career and Money for Tula Rashi
Career is held by absence and by a node. Cancer is your tenth house, empty of planets but occupied by Ketu for all thirty days, and its lord is the Moon — fast, changeable and never in one house for long. Ketu in the tenth thins your appetite for position: you may find you care less than you did about a title you were chasing. That is worth noticing rather than fighting. See our career remedies page.
Money divides cleanly at the 9th. Until then Venus is in your eleventh house of gains with the Sun and Jupiter; after it, your ruler is debilitated in your twelfth house of outflow for the rest of the month. Meanwhile Jupiter stays in that eleventh house all month and becomes visible on the 15th — so income improves while judgment about spending worsens. Both are true at once, and the practical answer is to separate the two: let income arrive, and postpone decisions about what to do with it to October.
Mercury arriving on your sign on the 21st, joining Mars, is the month’s best instrument for collection — invoices, dues, renegotiations. Nine days of unusual directness in a sign that normally avoids it. Use it. See our financial remedies page.
Home, Family and Partnership
Partnership carries the month’s weight, and the reason is structural rather than emotional: a debilitated retrograde Saturn sits in your seventh house for all thirty days, with Mars looking straight back at it from your sign. What that produces is not usually a rupture but a stalemate — a matter that neither side will concede and neither side will drop. The separating arc says the stalemate loosens as the month goes on. Do not force it in the first week.
The wedding calendar is shut regardless: Chaturmas runs through September and the formal season does not reopen until Devuthani Ekadashi in November. Both benefics come out of combustion mid-month, which helps family conversation without opening a muhurat. See the marriage muhurat page for September 2027 and our marriage delay page.
Home has Rahu in it — Capricorn is your fourth house, and Rahu holds it all month, drifting from 15°45′ to 14°09′ of Shravana. Rahu in the fourth inflates dissatisfaction with where you live and makes bigger, more expensive arrangements look necessary. With a debilitated Venus in your twelfth from the 9th, that is a combination to be sceptical of. The griha pravesh page for September 2027 and the business and property page set out the formal dates if a move is genuinely in hand.
Health
Mars on the janma rashi for thirty days is the month’s main health signature, and it is a heat signature: inflammation, acidity, blood pressure, cuts and accidents from moving too fast. Tula’s standing weak points are the kidneys and the lower back, and a Mars transit over the sign aggravates both. Your sixth house of illness is Pisces and empty all month, which is genuinely in your favour.
Two practical notes. The first week is the sharpest — Mars closest to opposition with Saturn, and the Moon crossing Mars on your sign on the 4th — so treat physical risk seriously then: no rushing, no lifting badly, no arguing while driving. And your Chandra window, 3:16 am on 4 September to 8:47 am on 6 September, fifty-three hours thirty-one minutes, is your best rest of the month even though Mars is in it; brahma muhurta on the 5th and 6th are its two best mornings.
Remedies for Tula Rashi in September 2027
Four conditions define the month: Mars on your sign for all thirty days, covering twenty degrees; a debilitated retrograde Saturn in your seventh house facing it, the aspect separating from one degree forty-one minutes to twenty-three degrees thirty-five minutes; your ruler debilitated in your twelfth house from 2:36 pm on 9 September; and Jupiter becoming visible in your eleventh house of gains on the 15th — in a month with no exact conjunctions at all.
- Do not force a partnership decision in the first week: that is when Mars and Saturn are closest to facing each other exactly, and the arc only widens after it. The same conversation goes better in the last week than the first.
- Mangal practice on the four Tuesdays — 7, 14, 21 and 28 September: Mars is on your own sign on all four. Hanuman Chalisa, red lentils, and physical work done deliberately rather than in haste. See Mangal remedies, Tuesday fasting and the Mangal dosh page.
- Write down every outflow from the 9th: a debilitated Venus in the twelfth house is the transit in which money leaves without a decision being made. A written record is the whole remedy.
- Shukra practice on the four Fridays — 3, 10, 17 and 24 September: your ruler is combust on the first two, becomes visible on the 17th, and is debilitated from the 9th onwards. White flowers, ghee, rice, and something given rather than bought. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
- Ask the network after 15 September: Jupiter is in your eleventh house all month and becomes visible on that date. Requests for help, introductions and collaborations land better in the second half.
- Shani observance on the four Saturdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 September: Saturn is debilitated and retrograde in your seventh house all month and rules your fourth and fifth as well. Sesame oil, black til, mustard oil to a peepal after sundown, service to someone older. See Shani remedies and Saturday fasting.
- Begin something private on the 30th, not something public: a twelfth-house New Moon at 12°30′ of Virgo suits a practice, a retreat or a withdrawal. Tarpan through Pitru Paksha from the 15th to that morning is the traditional observance.
In Summary
For Tula Rashi, September 2027 is thirty days of Mars on your own sign with a debilitated, retrograde Saturn facing it from your seventh house. Mars covers 4°54′ of Chitra to 25°05′ of Vishakha — three nakshatras, just over twenty degrees — entering Swati at 4:44 pm on 3 September and Vishakha at 2:51 pm on 23 September. The opposition is separating throughout: one degree forty-one minutes past exact on the 1st, twenty-three degrees thirty-five minutes past it on the 30th. The month gets easier, not harder.
Your ruler goes the other way. Venus leaves your eleventh house of gains at 2:36 pm on Thursday 9 September and crosses into Virgo, where it is debilitated, and which is your twelfth house of expenditure. Shukra asta ends on 17 September, so it becomes visible in its own sign of fall, in your house of outflow, for the rest of the month.
Against that, Jupiter holds your eleventh house for all thirty days and becomes visible there on 15 September — income improving while judgment about spending it does not. The Full Moon of 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September falls in your fifth house; the New Moon of 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September falls in your twelfth at the instant Sharad Navratri begins; and the sky holds no exact conjunctions at all this month, after eight in August. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Tula padas holds your natal Moon, and where Mars, Saturn and Venus sit in your own chart, decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read August’s reading, what Tula Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on Mars in Vedic astrology.
Two malefics facing each other across your own axis
Whether a month-long Mars-Saturn opposition across the first and seventh houses reads as a stalemate or as the pressure that finally settles something depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon and where both planets sit in your own chart — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
