Scorpio Rashifal October 2027 (Vrishchika Rashi): Your Ruler Comes Home on the Eighth, and Venus Joins It on Dhanteras

Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji

At 1:21 am on Friday 8 October Mars crosses out of Libra and onto Vrishchika. Scorpio is a sign Mars owns, so your ruler is simultaneously on your rashi and in its own sign — and it stays there for the rest of the month, twenty-three days and twenty-two hours thirty-nine minutes. It covers 22°08′ in October, from 25°05′ of Vishakha to 17°09′ of Jyeshtha, the second-largest arc of any planet this month.

Then, late, it gets company. Venus arrives on Vrishchika at 9:53 pm on Wednesday 27 October — the day of Dhanteras — and the last five days of the month have both your ruler and the planet of wealth standing on your own sign for the whole Diwali cluster.

And there is a smaller fact that belongs only to Vrishchika. Venus enters Anuradha at 2:17 pm on Saturday 30 October. Mars leaves Anuradha for Jyeshtha at 7:57 am on Sunday 31 October. So for seventeen hours forty minutes, your ruler and Venus occupy the same nakshatra on your own sign. Nothing else in October produces that.

A Ruler in Its Own Sign, on Your Own Sign

Mars on the rashi in its own sign is a strong transit and a demanding one. Strong, because your ruler is dignified and nothing dilutes it — Mars never comes within thirty-three degrees of the Sun in October, so it is visible throughout. Demanding, because Mars on the Moon sign raises the temperature of everything: energy, initiative, impatience, physical risk, and the willingness to say the thing that ends the conversation.

The most useful reading is directional. Mars in its own sign wants a target, and the month gives you one: with a debilitated Saturn leaving your sixth house on the 20th, the first three weeks are the right stretch to finish a fight — a debt, a dispute, a competitor, a piece of long-deferred physical work. Left without a target, a strong Mars on the rashi turns the pressure inward and shows up as accidents and sleeplessness.

The nakshatra sequence matters here too. Mars enters Anuradha at 6:50 pm on Tuesday 12 October and Jyeshtha at 7:57 am on Sunday 31 October, so most of its run across your rashi happens in Anuradha — the nakshatra of steady, disciplined pursuit rather than of raw aggression. See our Mangal remedies, Tuesday fasting and Mangal dosh pages.

Saturn Gains Dignity and Loses Shelter on the Same Day

On 20 October retrograde Saturn crosses backwards out of Aries into Pisces. For Vrishchika that is your sixth house handing over to your fifth, and the trade is genuinely two-sided.

The gain is that Saturn’s debilitation ends: Aries is its sign of fall, Pisces is not. The loss is positional. The sixth house is upachaya — one of the three houses where a malefic does least harm and most work — and Saturn there had been fighting your battles for you. The fifth house is a trine, and it governs children, education, creativity and speculation. Saturn in the fifth is slow rather than hostile: it delays, formalises and asks for effort where you had wanted ease.

The Full Moon had already lit that fifth house. It forms at 7:17 pm on Friday 15 October, at 27°42′ of Pisces, in Revati pada 4, and Saturn reverses into that same Revati pada 4 five days later. Sharad Purnima falls on Thursday 14 October, and its tithi runs out at that Full Moon instant. If a matter involving a child, a course of study or a creative project surfaced around the 15th, the 20th is when it acquires a timetable.

We publish the change as a day and not a clock time. At the boundary Saturn is moving at 0.079° a day — under two and a half minutes of arc in twenty-four hours — so a published instant would depend on the ayanamsa chosen. Mercury’s stations, by contrast, get minutes, because a station is intrinsic to the geometry. See our Shani remedies page.

Diwali’s New Moon Falls in Your Twelfth House

The New Moon of the month forms at 7:06 pm on Friday 29 October, at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Libra is your twelfth house — the house of expenditure, loss, foreign matters, and letting go. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October, and the amavasya tithi ends at that same instant.

That is worth stating without dressing it up. For Vrishchika, the lunation that opens the new financial year of the Hindu calendar happens in your house of outflow, and the debilitated Sun is in that house too from 2:03 am on Monday 18 October. The pattern is not a warning about disaster; it is a warning about the festival budget. Set the number before Dhanteras rather than during Diwali week.

Against it, both bodies on your own rashi from the 27th — a dignified Mars and Venus — are the counterweight, and they favour a purchase that lasts over one that impresses. Dhanteras falls on Wednesday 27 October, and Venus reaches your sign at 9:53 pm that evening.

Fifty-Six Hours Eighteen Minutes, Early

The Moon holds Vrishchika from 5:56 pm on Sunday 3 October to 2:14 am on Wednesday 6 Octoberfifty-six hours eighteen minutes, comfortably above October’s median. It is the fourth-longest of the month’s twelve windows, and it falls entirely before Mars arrives on your sign on the 8th, so it is the calmest stretch of your month rather than the strongest.

A second window opens at 3:30 am on Sunday 31 October and runs into November, so the month closes with the Moon back on your rashi alongside Mars and Venus. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October, which for Vrishchika means the sibling festival lands with the Moon, your ruler and Venus all standing on your own sign.

Jupiter meanwhile spends all thirty-one days in your tenth house, from 19°58′ to 26°00′ of Purva Phalguni, visible throughout. Jupiter in the career house is the month’s quietest good news, and it is the one thing on this page that does not change from the 1st to the 31st.

The Month’s Fixed Points

  • Friday 1 October — Mars at 25°05′ of Vishakha and Mercury at 8°18′ of Swati in your twelfth, Mercury direct; a debilitated Venus and the Sun in your eleventh; Jupiter at 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni in your tenth; Saturn debilitated in your sixth; Rahu in your third, Ketu in your ninth. Sharad Navratri, which began on 30 September, is running.
  • Sunday 3 October, 5:56 pm — the Moon arrives on Vrishchika Rashi for fifty-six hours eighteen minutes; Venus reaches its own sign in your twelfth house at 6:20 pm, out of debilitation.
  • Wednesday 6 October, 2:14 am — the Moon leaves your sign.
  • Thursday 7 October, 8:06 pm — Mercury turns retrograde in your twelfth house. Durga Ashtami falls on Thursday 7 October. The ashtami tithi spans two sunrises that year, so some panchangs place the observance a day later — check your family’s.
  • Friday 8 October, 1:21 am — your ruler arrives on Vrishchika Rashi in its own sign and stays for the rest of the month.
  • Saturday 9 October — Maha Navami. Dussehra falls on Saturday 9 October. That day’s panchang.
  • Saturday 9 October, 3:05 am — Venus enters Swati in your twelfth house.
  • Monday 11 October, 3:02 pm — Mercury and Venus are exact at 9°46′ of Libra in your twelfth house; the Sun enters Chitra at 8:26 am in your eleventh.
  • Tuesday 12 October, 6:50 pm — your ruler enters Anuradha on your own sign, where it spends most of the month.
  • Thursday 14 October — Sharad Purnima. Panchang for the day.
  • Friday 15 October, 7:17 pm — the Full Moon forms in your fifth house at 27°42′ of Pisces, in Revati pada 4; retrograde Mercury reverses into Chitra at 4:26 pm in your twelfth.
  • Monday 18 October, 2:03 am — Tula Sankranti: the Sun enters Libra and your twelfth house, debilitated, for the rest of the month.
  • Tuesday 19 October, 9:00 pm — the Sun and Mercury are exact at 1°47′ of Libra in your twelfth house; Venus enters Vishakha at 8:40 pm. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October.
  • Wednesday 20 October — Saturn leaves your sixth house for your fifth, and its debilitation ends. A day, not a minute: at 0.079° a day the boundary is ayanamsa-dependent.
  • Thursday 21 October, 8:16 am — retrograde Mercury reverses into Virgo and your eleventh house, exalted, for the rest of the month.
  • Sunday 24 October, 7:01 pm — the Sun enters Swati in your twelfth house.
  • Wednesday 27 October, 9:53 pm — Venus arrives on Vrishchika Rashi, joining your ruler. Dhanteras falls on Wednesday 27 October.
  • Thursday 28 October, 7:40 pm — Mercury turns direct in your eleventh house, exalted. Narak Chaturdashi falls on Thursday 28 October.
  • Friday 29 October, 7:06 pm — the New Moon forms in your twelfth house at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October, and the amavasya tithi ends at that same instant. Panchang for the day.
  • Saturday 30 October, 2:17 pm — Venus enters Anuradha on your own sign, joining Mars in the same nakshatra for seventeen hours forty minutes. Govardhan Puja falls on Saturday 30 October.
  • Sunday 31 October, 7:57 am — your ruler enters Jyeshtha on your own sign; the Moon returns to Vrishchika at 3:30 am. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October.

Week by Week

Thirty-one days running Friday to Sunday. Five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays; four each of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday is your ruler’s day and October gives four — the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th — of which three fall with Mars in its own sign on your rashi.

1–7 October

The Moon arrives on your sign at 5:56 pm on Sunday the 3rd and leaves at 2:14 am on Wednesday the 6th; Venus reaches its own sign in your twelfth at 6:20 pm on the 3rd; Mercury turns retrograde at 8:06 pm on Thursday the 7th. Durga Ashtami falls on Thursday 7 October. This is the month’s only clean week for documents, and the last week before your ruler arrives.

8–14 October

Your ruler comes home at 1:21 am on Friday the 8th, and the month changes character. Venus enters Swati at 3:05 am on Saturday the 9th; the Sun enters Chitra at 8:26 am and Mercury and Venus are exact at 3:02 pm on Monday the 11th; Mars enters Anuradha at 6:50 pm on Tuesday the 12th. Dussehra falls on Saturday 9 October. Sharad Purnima falls on Thursday 14 October. Use this week for the thing that needs force.

15–21 October

The Full Moon forms in your fifth house at 7:17 pm on Friday the 15th; Tula Sankranti brings a debilitated Sun into your twelfth at 2:03 am on Monday the 18th; the Sun and Mercury are exact at 9:00 pm on Tuesday the 19th; Saturn leaves your sixth house and its debilitation on Wednesday the 20th; and Mercury reverses into its exaltation in your eleventh at 8:16 am on Thursday the 21st. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October.

22–28 October

The Sun enters Swati at 7:01 pm on Sunday the 24th; Venus arrives on your rashi at 9:53 pm on Wednesday the 27th; Mercury turns direct, exalted, at 7:40 pm on Thursday the 28th. Dhanteras falls on Wednesday 27 October. Narak Chaturdashi falls on Thursday 28 October. From the evening of the 27th your own sign carries both a dignified Mars and Venus, which is the best condition Vrishchika gets this year for a purchase meant to last.

29–31 October

The New Moon forms in your twelfth house at 7:06 pm on Friday the 29th at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October. Venus enters Anuradha at 2:17 pm on Saturday the 30th and your ruler leaves it for Jyeshtha at 7:57 am on Sunday the 31st, so the two share one nakshatra on your sign for seventeen hours forty minutes. Govardhan Puja falls on Saturday 30 October. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October, with the Moon back on Vrishchika from 3:30 am.

Career and Money for Vrishchika Rashi

Career has the month’s steadiest support: Jupiter in your tenth house for all thirty-one days, visible, uninterrupted, moving from 19°58′ to 26°00′ of Purva Phalguni. Add a dignified Mars on your rashi from the 8th and October reads as a month in which you can push and be seen doing it. Ketu in your ninth house all month, from 14°09′ to 12°31′ of Pushya, is the counter-note: less patience for hierarchy and for the opinion of seniors.

Money splits along a clean line. Your eleventh house of gains holds the Sun to the 18th and then an exalted Mercury from 8:16 am on 21 October, which turns direct there on the evening of the 28th — the best income signature of the month, and it is in its last ten days. Your twelfth house of outflow holds Venus to the 27th, the debilitated Sun from the 18th, both exact conjunctions and the Diwali New Moon.

Put the two together and the instruction is specific: October earns at the end and spends throughout. Fix the festival budget before Dhanteras. Keep contracts out of the stretch from 7 to 28 October while Mercury is retrograde. See our financial remedies and career remedies pages.

Home, Family and Partnership

Taurus is your seventh house and it stays empty for all thirty-one days, with its lord Venus spending most of the month in your twelfth and then arriving on your rashi on the 27th. So partnership is not where October’s events sit — but a dignified Mars standing on your Moon sign is the thing a partner will notice, because it makes you faster to react and slower to concede. That is the one practical caution on this page for a marriage.

The wedding calendar stays shut all month, because Chaturmas runs to Devuthani Ekadashi in November. See the marriage muhurat page for October 2027 and our marriage delay page.

Home is quiet: Aquarius, your fourth house, is empty, and its lord Saturn moves from your sixth to your fifth on the 20th. Children and education are where Saturn’s arrival lands, so if a child’s admission, examination or fee cycle is in play, treat the 20th as the date the matter becomes formal. If a property step is planned, the griha pravesh page for October 2027 and the business and property page give the dates.

Health

Your sixth house of illness empties on 20 October, when Saturn leaves it, and nothing replaces it for the rest of the month. That is a good sign on paper. The real caution is the other one: a dignified Mars standing on your Moon sign for twenty-three days raises the risk of the injury that comes from haste — a fall, a cut, a strain from lifting something you should have put down.

Vrishchika’s standing weak points are the reproductive and eliminatory systems and the blood, all Mars-governed, so the ruler’s strength cuts both ways: better recovery, higher heat. Your Chandra window is 5:56 pm on 3 October to 2:14 am on 6 October, fifty-six hours eighteen minutes, and it falls before Mars arrives — so it is the month’s genuine rest, and the second window from 3:30 am on 31 October will not be, with Mars and Venus both on your sign.

Remedies for Vrishchika Rashi in October 2027

Four conditions define the month: your ruler in its own sign on your rashi from 1:21 am on 8 October for twenty-three days and twenty-two hours; Venus joining it there on 27 October, with both in Anuradha together for seventeen hours forty minutes from 2:17 pm on the 30th; Saturn out of its debilitation but out of upachaya on 20 October; and the Diwali New Moon in your twelfth house of expenditure.

  • Give Mars a target in the first three weeks: one debt cleared, one dispute finished, one piece of physical work completed. A dignified Mars on the rashi without an outlet becomes an injury.
  • Fix the festival budget before Dhanteras: the Diwali New Moon forms in your twelfth house of outflow, with a debilitated Sun there from the 18th.
  • Mangal practice on the four Tuesdays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 October: red lentils, physical service rather than money, and Hanuman Chalisa. Three of the four fall with your ruler in its own sign on your sign. See Mangal remedies.
  • Buy on the 27th or later rather than earlier: Venus reaches your own sign at 9:53 pm on Dhanteras and stays, which favours something durable over something showy.
  • Treat 20 October as the date a child’s or a student’s matter becomes formal: Saturn moves into your fifth house that day, into the same Revati pada the Full Moon of the 15th occupied.
  • Keep contracts out of 7–28 October: Mercury is retrograde across the whole stretch, in your twelfth house for most of it.
  • Use 3–6 October as the month’s rest: the Moon is on your rashi for fifty-six hours eighteen minutes and your ruler has not yet arrived. The second Moon window, from the 31st, will not be restful.

In Summary

For Vrishchika Rashi, October 2027 is the month your ruler comes home. Mars arrives on your own sign, in its own sign, at 1:21 am on Friday 8 October and stays for twenty-three days and twenty-two hours thirty-nine minutes, covering 22°08′ from 25°05′ of Vishakha to 17°09′ of Jyeshtha. Venus joins it at 9:53 pm on Wednesday 27 October, and from 2:17 pm on Saturday 30 October to 7:57 am on Sunday 31 October the two share Anuradha — seventeen hours forty minutes of your ruler and the planet of wealth in one nakshatra on your rashi.

The costs are named rather than hidden. The Diwali New Moon of 29 October forms in your twelfth house of expenditure, where a debilitated Sun has been sitting since the 18th and where both of the month’s exact conjunctions occurred. And Saturn’s move on 20 October ends its debilitation but takes it out of the sixth house, where it was working for you, into the fifth, five days after the Full Moon lit that house at 27°42′ of Pisces in Revati pada 4.

All of this is sign-level arithmetic. Which of the nine Vrishchika padas holds your natal Moon, where Mars and Saturn sit in your own chart, and which dasha is running decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read September’s reading, what Vrishchika Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on Mars in Vedic astrology.

A strong Mars on your Moon sign needs a target

Where to point twenty-three days of a dignified ruler depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon, where Mars and Saturn sit in your own chart, and which dasha is running — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
