Taurus Rashifal December 2026 (Vrishabha Rashi): Saturn Turns Direct in Its Best House

Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji

Of the twelve rashis, Vrishabha is the one holding Saturn in the most favourable position it can occupy. Saturn is in Pisces, and Pisces is the eleventh house from Taurus. The tradition names only three houses from the natal Moon in which Saturn transits well — the third, the sixth and the eleventh — and the eleventh is generally reckoned the best of those three. It is the house of gains, of income, of networks and of things arriving.

December makes that placement work properly. Saturn has been retrograde, which even in a favourable house has a frustrating signature: gains that are announced and then withdrawn, an income increase that keeps almost happening, a network contact who keeps almost delivering. At 5:31 am on Friday 11 December, Saturn turns direct. From that morning the eleventh house stops re-treading and starts producing, and for the remainder of the month Vrishabha has the sky’s slowest planet moving forward in its own best position.

Why This Month Matters More Than It Looks

There is a reason to take the eleventh-house window seriously rather than simply enjoy it, and it is specific to Taurus. Saturn does not stay in the eleventh. It crosses into Aries — the twelfth house from Taurus — on 3 June 2027. The twelfth from the natal Moon is where Sade Sati begins.

So Vrishabha Rashi is in the last stretch before its own Sade Sati cycle opens, and the dates are now fixed enough to publish. Saturn first enters Aries on 3 June 2027, retrogrades back into Pisces on 20 October 2027 — a four-month reprieve — and settles into Aries definitively on 23 February 2028. From that point Taurus carries the seven-and-a-half-year cycle. Aquarius natives are finishing theirs now, Pisces natives are at the peak, Aries natives are in the first phase; you are next in the queue.

That reframes December from a pleasant month into a useful one. An eleventh-house Saturn turning direct is the right configuration for building the things that make a Sade Sati survivable: savings, a reliable income line, and people who will pick up the phone. Eighteen months is enough time to do all three, and the tradition’s standing advice about Sade Sati is that it is far more about what you had in place beforehand than about what you do during it. Our Sade Sati guide for 2026 covers the cycle itself.

The Nodal Axis Moves, and For You It Is a Downgrade

At 10:34 pm on Saturday 5 December, Rahu leaves Aquarius for Capricorn and Ketu leaves Leo for Cancer, both until 24 June 2028. For most signs this is a lateral move. For Vrishabha it is a step down, and it is worth being honest about why.

Rahu has spent the last nineteen months in Aquarius, your tenth house of career — one of the four upachaya houses (the third, sixth, tenth and eleventh, the houses of growth) in which Rahu is traditionally held to be productive rather than disruptive. If your professional profile has expanded unusually fast since mid-2025, that placement is why. On the 5th, Rahu moves into Capricorn and your ninth house of dharma, belief, higher learning, long journeys, father and teachers — which is not an upachaya house, and is one of the placements the tradition treats most cautiously.

What a ninth-house Rahu tends to produce is a quarrel with received wisdom. People under it question a faith they were raised in, fall out with a mentor, take up an unconventional teacher, or relocate abroad on an impulse that looks well-reasoned at the time. None of that is inherently bad — a certain amount of it is how people grow up — but for eighteen months you should assume your judgement about authority specifically is less reliable than usual. Do not burn a bridge with a guru, an elder or a father figure in a single conversation; and take the foreign opportunity only if it survives a month of sitting still. The full 2026 nodal transit sets out the change for all twelve signs.

Ketu’s half of the move is easier. It leaves your fourth house of home and mother — where it has produced nineteen months of low-grade domestic detachment — for your third house of siblings, effort, courage and communication. The third is one of the houses in which tradition reckons Ketu does the least harm, and a third-house Ketu often simply reduces the appetite for argument and for busywork. After nineteen months of feeling unsettled at home, that is the right direction of travel.

Your Ruler Is Dignified, and in Your Worst House

Venus rules Taurus, and in December it sits in Libra — the other sign it owns — for all thirty-one days. It is the only planet in the December sky occupying a sign of its own. That is unambiguously good for the planet.

The complication is where Libra falls for you: the sixth house of debt, disease, enemies and daily grind. So Vrishabha is the one sign for which the month’s single dignified planet is also its ruler and is sitting in the house nobody wants occupied. That combination is more interesting than it is unfortunate. A strong planet in the sixth house does not suffer the sixth house — it works on it. A dignified Venus there is well suited to clearing a debt, resolving a dispute without escalation, negotiating a settlement, or getting a nagging health matter treated by someone competent. Sixth-house strength is the strength of being able to handle the difficulty rather than avoid it.

The one caution is the standard Venus-in-sixth caution: it also indicates expense that arrives through comfort, and disputes that arise inside relationships rather than outside them. Watch the discretionary spending, and if there is friction with a partner in December, treat it as a sixth-house matter to be settled rather than a seventh-house matter to be argued. Our Venus page covers the planet’s significations in more detail.

Mercury joins Venus in the sixth until 5:24 pm on the 2nd, which makes the first two days of the month the sharpest window for the paperwork side of any of the above — the loan restructure, the medical appointment, the settlement draft.

Jupiter Turns Back in Your Fourth House, Heading for Exaltation

Jupiter is in Leo, your fourth house of home, property, mother and inner peace, sharing it with Mars all month and with Ketu until the 5th. At 6:09 am on Sunday 13 December, Jupiter turns retrograde there.

In the fourth house that reads as a property decision or a domestic plan wanting to be reopened rather than pushed through — and given that Ketu has just left the same house, a reconsideration is genuinely warranted. But the destination is the point. Jupiter’s retrograde path takes it into Cancer on 25 January 2027, the sign of its exaltation, and Cancer is your third house. An exalted Jupiter in the third is a strong configuration for communication, writing, teaching, short travel and dealings with siblings — and it arrives in the same house Ketu has just moved into, which is a well-timed counterweight to Ketu’s flattening effect. Jupiter’s 2026 transit traces the path.

Mars in the fourth house for all thirty-one days is the less comfortable half of that pairing. Mars in the fourth heats up the household: renovation, arguments over property, impatience with family. Between the 1st and the 5th it is joined by Ketu, which is the month’s most abrasive domestic combination and the stretch to avoid raising a contentious family matter.

The Two Lunations Land on Partnership and Money

The New Moon falls at 6:21 am on Wednesday 9 December, at 22.7° of Scorpio in Jyeshtha nakshatra, in your seventh house of marriage and partnership — with the nakshatra lord Mercury also in Scorpio, so in the same house. A seventh-house New Moon is a beginning in the domain of another person: it suits a proposal, a partnership agreement, or a genuine restart with someone. Given that your ruler Venus is dignified in the sixth all month, the sensible reading of the two together is that December favours settling a partnership difficulty and then rebuilding on it, in that order.

The Full Moon at 6:58 am on Thursday 24 December, at 8° of Gemini in Ardra, falls in your second house of wealth, speech and family — and Ardra’s lord is Rahu, newly in your ninth house. A second-house Full Moon typically brings a financial matter to a head, or a family conversation to a conclusion. Coming two weeks after Saturn turns direct in your eleventh house of income, a payment or a settlement landing in that window is the most probable shape of it.

Health: The Sixth House Is Occupied, So Do Not Ignore It

For most of December the sixth house — the house of illness — has your own ruling planet sitting in it, dignified. This is the reading Taurus natives most often get wrong, so it is worth stating plainly: a strong planet in the sixth house is favourable for dealing with illness, not a guarantee against it. December is a good month to get a long-postponed check-up done, to see the specialist, to finish the course of treatment. It is a poor month to assume a symptom will resolve on its own.

Two specifics. Venus in the sixth in its own sign inclines towards the throat, the mouth and metabolic complaints of the sweet-and-rich kind — the ordinary Taurus vulnerabilities, amplified by a month with a lot of celebration in it. And Mars in your fourth house all month, with Ketu there for the first five days, tends to produce chest and stomach tension that is genuinely emotional in origin; if the household is loud in early December, that is where the physical symptom is coming from.

The eleventh-house Saturn turning direct on the 11th is, quietly, the best health news in the month. Saturn in the eleventh does not attack the body; when it turns direct it tends to lift the low-grade fatigue that a retrograde Saturn anywhere produces. Expect stamina to improve in the second half of the month rather than the first.

Key Dates for Taurus in December 2026

  • 1–2 December: A dignified Venus with Mercury beside it in your sixth house. The sharpest window of the month for a loan restructure, a settlement draft or a medical appointment.
  • 1–5 December: Mars with Ketu in your fourth house. The month’s most abrasive domestic stretch. Do not open a contentious family matter here.
  • 2 December, 5:24 pm: Mercury leaves your sixth house for Scorpio and your seventh.
  • 5 December, 10:34 pm: The nodal axis reverses. Rahu leaves your tenth house of career for your ninth house of belief and teachers; Ketu leaves your fourth house of home for your third. Both until 24 June 2028.
  • 9 December, 6:21 am: New Moon at 22.7° Scorpio, Jyeshtha, in your seventh house, with the nakshatra lord Mercury present. A real restart available with a partner.
  • 11 December, 5:31 am: Saturn turns direct in your eleventh house — one of its three favourable transit houses, and the best of them. Gains stop being withdrawn. The most important moment of your month.
  • 13 December, 6:09 am: Jupiter turns retrograde in your fourth house, beginning the move that takes it, exalted, into your third house on 25 January 2027.
  • 16 December, 10:20 am: The Sun crosses out of your seventh house for Sagittarius and your eighth. Energy turns inward and towards joint finances; the second half is quieter than the first.
  • 22 December, 7:36 am: Mercury joins the Sun in your eighth house. Useful for insurance, inheritance and loan paperwork; less useful for casual conversation.
  • 24 December, 6:58 am: Full Moon at 8° Gemini, Ardra, in your second house of wealth and speech. A financial matter or a family conversation reaches its conclusion.
  • All month: Venus in its own sign in your sixth house — the strength to handle a difficulty rather than a promise of not having one.

Week by Week

1–5 December: Paperwork, a Hot Household, and Then the Axis Turns

Mercury and Venus together in your sixth house on the 1st and 2nd make these the two days to handle the difficult document — the loan, the settlement, the medical referral. At home the same stretch is the worst of the month, with Mars and Ketu both in your fourth house until Saturday night; keep the contentious family conversation for later. At 10:34 pm on the 5th the nodes reverse, ending nineteen months of Rahu accelerating your career and Ketu unsettling your home.

6–12 December: A Restart With Someone, Then Saturn Moves Forward

The New Moon of Wednesday the 9th falls in your seventh house, which is the month’s clearest opening for beginning again with a partner — in marriage or in business. Then at 5:31 am on Friday the 11th, Saturn begins moving forward in your eleventh house. This is the week’s real event: income, gains and network matters that have been stalling for months start moving in one direction. Anything you have been waiting on from an institution is better pursued after the 11th than before it.

13–19 December: Reopen the Property Question

Jupiter turns retrograde in your fourth house on Sunday the 13th, and with Ketu now gone from that house a domestic or property decision made in the last few months deserves to be looked at again with clearer eyes. On the 16th the Sun moves into your eighth house, which lowers the general energy and turns attention to joint money, insurance and things that were hidden. Saturn is direct and favourable throughout, so this is a good week for slow, structural work rather than visible activity.

20–31 December: A Conclusion, and the Year’s Best Position Holding

Mercury joins the Sun in your eighth house on the 22nd, which suits the year-end financial reconciliation and any paperwork involving other people’s money. The Full Moon of Thursday the 24th in your second house brings a money or family matter to a head. Through it all, Saturn continues forward in your eleventh house — the last full stretch of that placement before the timeline that starts on 3 June 2027. Use the final ten days of the year to put something aside rather than to spend what has arrived.

Remedies for Vrishabha Rashi in December 2026

Saturn is favourably placed and turning direct, so the observances below are about reinforcement rather than repair — with one eye on June 2027, when the position changes.

  • Saturn observance on the month’s four Saturdays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 December: Saturn is in your eleventh house, one of its three favourable transit houses, and turns direct on the 11th. Sesame oil, black til, and a lamp under a peepal tree at dusk. Our Shani remedies page has the full method, and Saturday fasting for Shani Dev covers the vrat.
  • Start putting money aside this month: the single most useful thing on this list, and the one specific to Taurus. Saturn is favourable in your house of gains until June 2027, after which it enters the twelfth from your Moon and Sade Sati begins. What you accumulate in these eighteen months is what makes the next seven manageable.
  • Lakshmi observance on the month’s four Fridays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 December: Venus rules your rashi and sits in its own sign all month; the 11th is also the morning Saturn turns direct, which makes that Friday the strongest of the four. White flowers, rice and a ghee lamp.
  • Settle one debt or dispute before the 31st: the precise use of a dignified Venus in your sixth house. Not a ritual, a decision. The 1st and 2nd, with Mercury still there, are the best days to put it in writing.
  • Do not fall out with a mentor or elder this month: the specific discipline for Rahu entering your ninth house on the 5th for 567 days. When the impulse to break with an authority arrives, and it will, give it thirty days before acting on it. See Rahu remedies, and the joint Rahu-Ketu observances, since both nodes moved together.
  • Get the postponed check-up done: the sixth house is occupied by your dignified ruler all month, which is the right configuration for treating something rather than tolerating it.
  • Recite the Hanuman Chalisa on the month’s five Tuesdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 December: Mars sits in your fourth house of home for all thirty-one days, hot and impatient, with Ketu alongside it for the first five days.
  • Keep the household quiet until the 6th: Mars and Ketu together in your fourth house is the month’s single worst domestic combination and it clears on the 5th. The restraint costs nothing and the argument would cost a great deal.

In Summary

Vrishabha Rashi holds the best Saturn position in the sky, and on 11 December at 5:31 am that position starts working properly. Saturn direct in your eleventh house — one of only three houses from the natal Moon in which Saturn transits well, and the strongest of them — means gains that have been announced and withdrawn stop being withdrawn. Income, network and institutional matters move forward from the second week onward.

The nodal reversal at 10:34 pm on the 5th is the month’s harder news. Rahu leaves your tenth house of career, where it was well placed, for your ninth house of belief, teachers and long journeys, where it is not — and it stays there until 24 June 2028. Expect your judgement about authority to be less reliable than usual for eighteen months. Ketu’s move out of your home and into your third house is the compensating easement.

Your ruler Venus spends all thirty-one days dignified in its own sign, in your sixth house of debt and illness. Read that as capability rather than protection: December is the month to clear the debt, settle the dispute and see the doctor, not the month to assume none of the three will be necessary.

And the timeline behind all of it is worth writing down. Saturn crosses into Aries — the twelfth house from Taurus, where Sade Sati begins — on 3 June 2027, retreats to Pisces on 20 October 2027, and settles there on 23 February 2028. You have roughly eighteen good months with Saturn in your house of gains. What gets built in them is the whole point of the month.

Exactly when your own Sade Sati begins depends on your natal Moon’s degree and on which of the nine Taurus padas holds it, since the cycle is measured from the Moon rather than from the sign. What the Taurus rashi fixes and what it leaves open sets out the pada detail, and the November reading traces how the month arrived here.

When does your Sade Sati actually start?

Saturn reaches the twelfth from Taurus in June 2027, but the cycle is measured from your natal Moon’s degree, not the sign. A chart reading gives you the real start date and the peak years.
