Taurus Rashifal January 2027 (Vrishabha Rashi): Saturn’s Last Favourable Months

Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji

Vrishabha Rashi is in a good position this January and it has an expiry date. Saturn sits in Pisces, which is your eleventh house — one of the three houses from which a Saturn transit is classically read as favourable rather than testing. And on 25 January at 2:15 am, Jupiter reaches its sign of exaltation, Cancer, which is your third house. Two of the three slow planets are placed as well as they can be for you.

The expiry date is 3 June 2027. That is when Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries, and Aries is the twelfth house from Taurus — which begins Sade Sati. So the way to read January is as the opening of a four-month stretch in which the sky is doing you a favour, before a seven-and-a-half-year cycle starts. What you build between now and June is what you will have to draw on afterwards.

Saturn in the Eleventh: What the Rule Actually Says

The tradition names three houses from the natal Moon in which Saturn transits productively: the third, the sixth and the eleventh. Everywhere else it asks for something. Saturn has been in Pisces — your eleventh — and turned direct there at 5:31 am on 11 December 2026, so through January it is moving forward in the best of those three.

Eleventh-house Saturn is not luck. It is the slow accumulation of things that hold: income that arrives because a structure was set up rather than because an opportunity appeared, older colleagues and elder siblings who become useful, professional networks that persist. It rewards the Taurean method — steady, patient, unhurried — more directly than almost any other transit, which is why this is the placement to use rather than to wait out.

The handover is on the calendar in three steps. Saturn enters Aries, your twelfth, on 3 June 2027 — Sade Sati’s first phase. It retrogrades back into Pisces on 20 October 2027, which returns it to your favourable eleventh for about four months, and then settles in Aries for good on 23 February 2028. So Vrishabha Rashi gets one late reprieve, from October 2027 to February 2028, and after that the cycle runs.

Jupiter Exalted in Your Third House — an Upachaya House

Jupiter enters Cancer, the sign of its exaltation, at 2:15 am on Monday 25 January. Counted from Taurus, Cancer is the third house, and the third is one of the four upachaya houses — the third, sixth, tenth and eleventh — which are the houses of growth, the ones where effort compounds rather than dissipates.

An exalted Jupiter in an upachaya house is a good combination. The third governs initiative, communication, writing, short journeys, siblings and courage. What it produces in practice is that a project you start yourself gains traction faster than it should, that you write or speak better than usual, and that a sibling matter goes your way. Combined with a supportive Saturn in the eleventh, the shape of the next four months is: start it yourself in the third, and the eleventh converts it into something that lasts.

Two constraints on the window. First, Ketu is already in Cancer, since 5 December 2026 and until June 2028, so the third house holds both. Second, the exaltation is short. Jupiter is retrograde when it crosses into Cancer, so it reverses in rather than walking in: it turns direct on 13 April 2027 and leaves for Leo on 26 June 2027. Five months, not the usual thirteen — the previous Cancer visit ran 19 June 2014 to 14 July 2015 — and the next one is in 2038.

Your Ruler Loses Its Dignity Twenty-Three Hours Into the Year

Venus rules Vrishabha Rashi, and Venus spends the first twenty-three hours of 2027 in Libra, its own sign — the sixth house from Taurus. At 11:18 pm on Friday 1 January it leaves for Scorpio, your seventh house, and it will not be dignified again until it reaches exalted Pisces on 15 April 2027 at 3:16 pm.

That April date is worth noting now, because Pisces is your eleventh house. Your ruler reaching its exaltation in your house of gains, while Saturn is still favourably placed in the same house, is the single best planetary combination available to Vrishabha Rashi in this whole cycle — and it lands six weeks before Sade Sati begins. April and May 2027 are the months to have arranged things for.

For January itself: Venus in your seventh house for four weeks brings partnership matters forward, business as much as personal. It is not dignified in Scorpio, so this is not a placement that resolves things by itself; it is one that puts them on the table. Venus then moves to your eighth house on 29 January, which turns the same attention towards joint finances.

Mars Turns Retrograde in Your Fourth House

Mars is in Leo, your fourth house, and turns retrograde at 6:24 pm on Sunday 10 January — an event that occurs about once in two years. A retrograde Mars in the fourth makes home and property matters resistant to being pushed. A renovation stalls, a negotiation over a property reopens a point that seemed settled, a domestic argument circles.

It also has a longer arc. Mars reverses out of Leo into Cancer at 12:30 am on 10 March 2027, where Mars is debilitated, and that is your third house — joining the exalted Jupiter and Ketu. So the third house gains a weak Mars for six weeks in the spring, until Mars turns direct on 1 April and returns to Leo on 26 April. The cleanest part of the third-house window is therefore 25 January to early March, and that is when to start whatever you intend to start.

Key Dates for Vrishabha Rashi in January 2027

  • 1 January, 11:18 pm: your ruler Venus leaves its own Libra and your sixth house for Scorpio, your seventh. Its next dignity is exalted Pisces on 15 April 2027.
  • 8 January, 1:54 am: your eighth house takes the New Moon, 23.1° of Sagittarius in Purva Ashadha pada 3.
  • 10 January — two events: Mercury arrives in your ninth house at 12:34 am; Mars stops and turns back in your fourth at 6:24 pm.
  • 14 January, 9:05 pm: the Sun follows Mercury into your ninth house at the Makar Sankranti ingress, where Rahu is already waiting.
  • 22 January, 5:47 pm: your third house — upachaya, and Jupiter’s destination — takes the Full Moon at 8° of Cancer, Pushya pada 2, three days ahead of the planet.
  • 25 January, 2:15 am: Jupiter follows into that third house exalted, joining Ketu, and holds the placement until 26 June 2027.
  • 28 January, 3:30 am: Mercury arrives in your tenth house.
  • 29 January, 6:37 pm: Venus reaches your eighth house.

Week by Week

1–7 January

Your ruler is dignified in your sixth house until late on the 1st, which is a good day for anything to do with settling a debt, a dispute or a health matter — the sixth house departments. From the 2nd the attention shifts to your seventh, and partnership questions become the theme for the month. Saturn is favourable in the eleventh throughout, so any structural work on income continues to pay off in the background.

8–14 January

The New Moon of Friday the 8th falls in your eighth house, which is not a natural place to start something visible but is a good one for beginning something private: a review of joint accounts, an insurance matter, a difficult piece of research. Sunday the 10th carries two events: Mercury into your ninth house at 12:34 am and Mars turning retrograde in your fourth at 6:24 pm. Postpone the property decision.

15–22 January

A ninth-house fortnight, with the Sun and Mercury joining Rahu there from mid-month. The ninth governs teachers, higher study, long journeys and the father, and Rahu in it inclines you towards conclusions that are larger than the evidence supports. Take the interest and be slower than usual about the belief. The Full Moon of Friday the 22nd falls in your third house and typically surfaces a communication or a sibling matter.

23–31 January

The best week of the month. Jupiter enters exalted Cancer in your third house at 2:15 am on Monday the 25th, with Saturn still favourable in your eleventh — initiative in one and consolidation in the other. This is the week to launch the thing you have been preparing: a piece of writing, a new line of work, a proposal, a course you intend to teach rather than take. Venus moving to your eighth house on Friday the 29th turns the partnership conversation of the last four weeks towards money.

Career and Money for Vrishabha Rashi

The strongest thing in your chart for money is not in the money houses at all — it is Saturn in the eleventh, and it works slowly. What that placement rewards is anything that turns a one-off into a recurring arrangement: a retainer instead of a project, a contract renewal, a process someone else can run. January is a good month to do that unglamorous work, and it is better done before June.

Career visibility comes late: Mercury reaches your tenth house on 28 January and the tenth is otherwise empty all month. So January is not the month for the big professional move; it is the month for the third-house groundwork that makes February and March possible. The ninth-house gathering of the Sun, Mercury and Rahu in the second fortnight is more likely to produce an idea or a connection than a result.

Relationships and Family

Venus in your seventh house from 2 to 29 January is the month’s main relational feature, and it is a straightforward one: partnership matters get attention. Because Venus is your ruler, they get your attention rather than merely arriving. This is a good month to have the conversation, and a poor month to expect it to conclude — Venus is not dignified in Scorpio and there is nothing in the seventh to force a resolution.

Family and home are the harder area, because Mars is retrograde in your fourth house from the 10th. Domestic friction in this period tends to be about the same thing twice. The exalted Jupiter arriving in your third from the 25th helps here in an indirect way: the third house is communication, and it becomes easier to say the thing plainly.

Health

The sixth house — illness and recovery — holds Venus in its own sign for the first day of the year and nothing after that, which is a quiet month by the usual measure. The thing to attend to is that Saturn in your eleventh house is one of the placements that lets a habit run unexamined, because nothing is pressing. Vrishabha Rashi tends not to change a routine unless something forces it, and this is a stretch in which nothing will. Set the routine deliberately now rather than in June, when Saturn moves to your twelfth and sleep becomes the harder thing to protect.

Remedies for Vrishabha Rashi in January 2027

The unusual thing about this month is that the two slow planets are helping. The remedies are therefore weighted towards using the window rather than defending against it.

  • Start the third-house project between 25 January and early March: the practical use of the whole reading. Jupiter is exalted in that house from the 25th, and a debilitated Mars joins it on 10 March. Writing, teaching, a new venture of your own, anything that needs your own initiative rather than someone’s permission.
  • Guru worship on the four Thursdays — 7, 14, 21 and 28 January: Jupiter reaches exaltation on the 25th, so the 28th falls under the new placement. Turmeric and chana dal, and a yellow cloth given to someone younger than you — the third house is siblings, cousins and juniors. Our weak-Guru remedies page goes further.
  • Friday observance for Venus — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 January: your ruler loses its dignity twenty-three hours into the year and does not regain it until 15 April. White flowers, rice and a ghee lamp; the 1st, while it is still in its own sign, is the strongest of the five. Our Venus page covers the forms.
  • Convert one arrangement into a recurring one before June: what a favourable eleventh-house Saturn is actually for. A retainer, a renewal, a subscription, a process handed over. It is worth more than any observance on this list.
  • Do not push the property matter between 10 January and 1 April: the counter to a retrograde Mars in your fourth house. It will reopen a settled point if pressed.
  • Saturday observance for Shani — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 January: kept here in gratitude rather than in mitigation, since Saturn is in one of its three favourable houses for you. Iron and black til with sesame oil, and a lamp at dusk. Our Shani page sets it out, and Saturday fasting is the common form.
  • Be slow about the ninth-house conviction after the 14th: Rahu is in that house with the Sun and Mercury. New beliefs formed in this fortnight deserve a second look in March.
  • Ketu observance, all month: Ketu is in your third house until June 2028 and Jupiter joins it from the 25th. Sesame, a grey cloth given away, and a dog fed — the third house asks for the small repeated act rather than the single large one. See the remedies for a weak Ketu.

In Summary

January 2027 is the beginning of the best stretch Vrishabha Rashi will see for some years, and it is a stretch with an end date. Saturn is in Pisces, your eleventh house, which is one of the three houses from the natal Moon where a Saturn transit is read as favourable, and it is moving forward there since turning direct on 11 December 2026. On top of that, Jupiter reaches its exaltation in Cancer — your third house, an upachaya house — at 2:15 am on Monday 25 January.

Both have deadlines. Jupiter’s exaltation lasts five months rather than the usual thirteen, because it reverses into Cancer rather than walking in: 25 January to 26 June 2027, with the next Cancer visit in 2038. And Saturn leaves your favourable eleventh for your twelfth on 3 June 2027, which begins Sade Sati — with one reprieve when it retrogrades back to Pisces on 20 October 2027, before settling in Aries on 23 February 2028.

Two more dates are worth carrying. Your ruler Venus is dignified for only the first twenty-three hours of the year, leaving its own Libra at 11:18 pm on 1 January, and its next dignity is exalted Pisces on 15 April 2027 — in your eleventh house, alongside a still-favourable Saturn, six weeks before Sade Sati starts. And Mars turns retrograde in your fourth house on 10 January, which argues against pushing anything domestic until 1 April.

When Sade Sati begins for you specifically depends on your natal Moon’s degree and on which of the nine Taurus padas holds it, since the whole calculation is counted from that Moon rather than from your Sun sign. What Vrishabha Rashi assures and what it leaves to the pada is covered elsewhere. The Jupiter transit guide reads this exaltation for all twelve rashis, and December’s reading sets out what came before.

Four months before Sade Sati starts

Saturn leaves your favourable eleventh house on 3 June 2027. What you consolidate before then is what you draw on afterwards. A chart reading gives you your own dates from your natal Moon rather than the sign-level average.
