Venus in Scorpio 2027: Shukra Gochar Vrishchik Rashi Dates

When Shukra Enters Vrishchik (शुक्र का वृश्चिक राशि में प्रवेश)

Venus crosses from Libra into Scorpio at 23:18 IST on 1 January 2027 and moves on into Sagittarius at 18:37 IST on 29 January 2027. That is a stay of 28 days. The crossing falls late on the first day of 2027, so Venus spends all of 2026 outside Scorpio: at midnight opening New Year’s Day it is still in Libra. Scorpio comes round twice in 2027. Venus is back on 27 October 2027, at 21:53 IST, and leaves for Sagittarius on 21 November 2027: 25 days. Both visits sit at the short end of the roughly 3 weeks to 2 months per sign that the site’s pace table gives Venus. A Clean Forward Pass

The 2026 retrograde ends with Venus’s direct station in Virgo on 14 November 2026, and the station table has no other Venus row until 11 May 2028, when it turns retrograde in Taurus. So nothing in this spell doubles back. The Scorpio entry is a single crossing, it is not undone by a later retrograde, and the exit is final for the January visit. What the spell does show is Venus gathering pace after that loop. The ingress table has it moving 1.01° a day as it reaches Scorpio and 1.13° a day as it leaves. By the October entry the rate is 1.24° a day, which is why the second visit is 3 days shorter than the first. The monthly position rows bracket the January spell: at midnight opening 1 January Venus is 0.97° short of Scorpio, and at midnight opening 1 February it is 2.5° into Sagittarius. Dividing that first gap by the entry speed puts the crossing within 4 minutes of the ingress row’s 23:18, so the two tables agree with each other.

Counting the Days: 1 or 2 January

Only the sign changes carry a clock time, since each moves faster than the 0.1°-a-day floor under which the site prints a date alone. The Libra page explains why its exit date is loose; seen from the Scorpio side, the same looseness decides where the count starts. At the entry, one arcminute of longitude is worth about 24 minutes of clock, and the crossing is 42 minutes before midnight. An ayanamsa about two arcminutes larger than the Lahiri value used here would put the entry on 2 January and count 27 days instead of 28. In UTC the entry falls at 17:48 on 1 January, so the date does not change for readers working in UTC.

The exit is much firmer. At 18:37 it sits 5 hours and 23 minutes from midnight, at about 21 minutes per arcminute, so an ayanamsa difference of more than 15 arcminutes would be needed to move it off 29 January. The October entry is faster still, at about 19 minutes per arcminute.

Vishakha, Anuradha, Jyeshtha, Then Moola (नक्षत्र)

Venus does not change nakshatra when it changes sign on 1 January. It enters Vishakha on 22 December 2026, while still in Libra, and Vishakha runs across the Libra and Scorpio line, so the first 4 days in Scorpio are spent in it. Venus moves into Anuradha on 5 January 2027 and into Jyeshtha on 17 January 2027; both lie wholly in Scorpio, and each takes 12 days. The nakshatra table gives the lords as Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury.

The exit is the reverse case. Jyeshtha closes at the last degree of Scorpio and Moola, lorded by Ketu in the same table, opens Sagittarius, so the crossing table records Venus entering Moola on 29 January at the same instant as the sign change. None of the three nakshatras that planets.js lists for Venus (Bharani, Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha) is crossed in this spell; the next of them, Purva Ashadha, is reached on 10 February 2027, in Sagittarius. Crossings are dated by the day, and no pada is named.

A Sign of Mars, With No Dignity for Venus

Scorpio’s lord in the sign table is Mars. The site’s planet table gives Venus no exaltation, debilitation or ownership here; those lie in Pisces, Virgo and Taurus and Libra. The friendship rows match in both directions: Venus’s row lists Mars as neutral, and Mars’s row lists Venus as neutral. Venus’s one aspect, the 7th, falls from Scorpio on Taurus (Vrishabha), which is one of its own two signs. For the 28 days of this spell, then, the sign Venus aspects is a sign it rules, while the sign it occupies is ruled by a graha the table treats as neither friend nor enemy.

Mars itself is not in Scorpio during any of this. The position table has it in Leo when Venus arrives, and it stations retrograde there on 10 January 2027, 9 days into the spell. It stays in Leo, moving backwards, until it returns to Cancer on 10 March 2027, well after Venus has gone. No Company in the Ingress Table

Scorpio has company earlier in the season and none during the spell. The Sun is in Scorpio from 16 November and leaves for Sagittarius on 16 December 2026; Mercury, there from 2 December, follows it on 22 December 2026. Across the January spell the ingress table moves the Sun into Capricorn on 14 January and Mercury into Capricorn on 10 January and Aquarius on 28 January. Jupiter, retrograde since its station in Leo on 13 December 2026, backs into Cancer on 25 January, and Saturn stays in Pisces. Of the non-node grahas the ingress table tracks, none shares Scorpio with Venus at any point in the spell, and the conjunction table has no meeting of Venus with any of them. The ingress table does not track the Moon.

Counting Scorpio From Your Moon Sign (चंद्र राशि से भाव)

In the gochara method a transit is counted from the janma rashi, the Moon’s sign at birth, taken as the 1st house. The table gives that count for Scorpio, the house’s name from the site’s house tables, and the house Venus’s aspect onto Taurus reaches from the same starting point. A house names a field of life. The table does not say what the transit does there.

A Moon-sign count is a starting point and nothing more. A reading would also need the lagna, the houses Venus and Mars rule in the chart, any natal planet in Scorpio or Taurus, and the dasha running.
