Virgo Rashifal February 2027 (Kanya Rashi): Saturn Enters a Nakshatra Your Own Ruler Governs
Published 2026-08-20 | Live Pandit Ji
Two events two days apart set up the whole of Kanya Rashi’s February, and the link between them is your own ruler. On Monday 8 February, Saturn passes 16°40′ of Pisces and enters Revati, the twenty-seventh and final nakshatra of the zodiac. Revati’s lord is Mercury. And at 11:05 pm on Tuesday 9 February, Mercury turns retrograde.
Pisces is the seventh house from Virgo, so this is your partnership house being run, for the rest of the month, by a nakshatra whose dispositor is walking backwards. It is the most Virgo-specific configuration in the sky this February, and the practical translation is simple enough: whatever is agreed with a partner, a spouse or a client between the 9th and 3 March will need to be said again. Say it in writing the first time.
Saturn in the Seventh, and the Directional Strength Question
Saturn is in Pisces for every day of February, direct, advancing from 16°01′ to 18°49′. A seventh-house Saturn from the natal Moon is often described as heavy, and there is a classical detail that complicates the description in your favour. The seventh is the house of Saturn’s digbala — directional strength. Each planet has one house where it is strongest by direction: Jupiter and Mercury in the first, the Sun and Mars in the tenth, the Moon and Venus in the fourth, and Saturn in the seventh.
The caveat has to be stated, because it is usually left out. Digbala is reckoned from the ascendant, not from the Moon. Counting Pisces as your seventh house is counting from Kanya Rashi as the Moon sign, which is what a rashifal does — so the directional strength only strictly applies if Virgo is also your rising sign. What survives regardless is the general point: a seventh-house Saturn is a placement of duty and endurance in relationships rather than one of damage. It asks for the long form of commitment and it does not tolerate the casual version.
The date to have in view is 3 June 2027, when Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries — the eighth house from Virgo. Saturn in the eighth from the natal Moon is Ardha Ashtama Shani, one of the three named difficult Saturn positions alongside Sade Sati and the fourth-house Kantaka Shani. It begins for Kanya Rashi then, lifts when Saturn retrogrades back into Pisces on 20 October 2027, and settles in from 23 February 2028. So February is not the difficult part. February is the part before it, and the right use of it is to get the slow, institutional, permission-dependent things done while Saturn is still in the seventh.
Your Ruler Retreats From the Sixth to the Fifth
Mercury rules Kanya Rashi, and its route this month is worth following house by house. It starts February at 5°25′ of Aquarius, your sixth house of work, health, competition and debt. It stations retrograde on the 9th at 11°45′, in Shatabhisha — which is Rahu’s nakshatra — and then retreats, crossing back out of Aquarius into Capricorn at 4:46 am on Wednesday 24 February and into your fifth house.
It turns direct there on 3 March at 6:02 pm, at 26°41′ of Capricorn, and re-enters Aquarius and your sixth house on 12 March at 5:00 am. Three crossings of the fifth-to-sixth boundary inside six weeks. For a Mercury-ruled sign that is the practical spine of the month: the work department is under revision until early March, and the revision is not a setback but the mechanism.
There is one more Mercury note. At 10:09 pm on Thursday 18 February the Sun meets retrograde Mercury exactly, at 5°34′ of Aquarius, in your sixth house. When the Sun and Mercury are in the same degree, Mercury is classically described as being overwhelmed by the Sun’s proximity — the texts differ on the exact orb, so no single figure is worth asserting, but the direction of the reading is agreed. Around the 18th, expect your own clarity of thinking to be less available than usual and other people’s authority to be more. It is a poor day to argue a technical case and a good one to postpone it.
Exalted Jupiter in Your Eleventh House
Cancer is the eleventh house from Virgo, and this is the best thing in your chart. Jupiter is exalted there for the whole month, retrograde, moving from 29°09′ back to 25°32′. The eleventh house is gains, networks, elder siblings and the payoff of long effort — and it is one of the four upachaya houses, the growth houses, where a strong planet compounds rather than merely shows.
Jupiter holds Cancer until 26 June 2027 and does not return until 2038, which makes this a five-month window rather than a season. What an exalted eleventh-house Jupiter usually looks like in practice is an introduction that turns into an income, or a professional network that finally produces something concrete. Kanya Rashi tends to undervalue that channel in favour of doing the work itself. This is the year to use it.
Ketu is in the same house, closing from 26°59′ to 25°30′, and the two converge through February, meeting exactly on 1 March at 25°27′ of Cancer. Both sit in Ashlesha, whose lord is Mercury — your ruler, retrograde. So the gains house, too, is dispositor-ruled by a reversing planet this month: the introductions to make are the ones you already have, and the network to work is the one you built years ago.
A Full Moon in Your Twelfth, on a Retrograde Mars
Leo is the twelfth house from Virgo, and Mars is retrograde in it all month, retreating from 13°06′ to 3°11′ inside Magha nakshatra. The Full Moon then lands on it: at 4:53 am on Sunday 21 February it forms at 7°51′ of Leo, 1°51′ from Mars.
The twelfth house is expenditure, sleep, foreign matters and what drains without showing. A retrograde Mars there usually reads as effort spent on something invisible, and as disturbed sleep rather than as anything dramatic. A Full Moon 1°51′ from it brings whatever that drain is to the surface for a day. Magha’s deities are the Pitrs, the ancestors, and its lord Ketu is in your eleventh house — the observances on our Pitra Dosh page suit the 21st better than any new commitment would.
The February Calendar for Kanya Rashi
- The New Moon, at 9:26 pm on Saturday the 6th, forms in your fifth house at 23°24′ of Capricorn, Dhanishta pada 1 — three degrees short of Rahu, which sits in the same quarter.
- Saturn, on Monday the 8th, crosses into Revati in your seventh house, the last nakshatra of the zodiac.
- Mercury, at 11:05 pm on Tuesday the 9th, stations retrograde in your sixth house; in the same minute the Sun crosses Rahu in your fifth.
- The Sun, at 10:04 am on Saturday the 13th, leaves your fifth house for your sixth at the Kumbha Sankranti ingress.
- The Sun and Mercury, at 10:09 pm on Thursday the 18th, meet at the same degree — 5°34′ of Aquarius, in your sixth house.
- The Full Moon, at 4:53 am on Sunday the 21st, fills your twelfth house at 7°51′ of Leo, 1°51′ from retrograde Mars.
- Mercury and Venus, at 4:46 am and 3:11 pm on Wednesday the 24th, both arrive in your fifth house — one reversing in, one walking in.
- Mercury again, at 6:02 pm on Wednesday 3 March, turns direct at 26°41′ of Capricorn. That is when the month’s unfinished business closes.
Week by Week
1–7 February
The one week with your ruler moving forwards, and therefore the week to commit anything to. The New Moon of Saturday the 6th sits in your fifth house — children, study, creative work, and a speculative position if you must — and it is a better date for the first three than for the last, with Rahu three degrees away. Saturn enters Revati on the Sunday.
8–14 February
The 9th is the hinge: Mercury stations at 11:05 pm, the Sun crosses Rahu at 11:05 pm. From there, revision replaces initiation. The Sun changes house on Saturday the 13th at 10:04 am, moving into your sixth, which raises the volume on work and health for the rest of February.
15–21 February
A sixth-house week with the Sun and your retrograde ruler in it, meeting exactly on Thursday the 18th. Use it for the audit rather than the argument: reviewing a process, re-checking a filing, following up on a treatment. It ends with the Full Moon in your twelfth house at 4:53 am on Sunday the 21st, which is the month’s tiredest morning.
22–28 February
Your fifth house takes two arrivals on Wednesday the 24th, ten hours and twenty-five minutes apart. Venus there is good for children, romance and creative work; Mercury, still retrograde, is good for finishing a piece of work rather than starting one. Keep the signature for the first week of March.
Work and Money for Kanya Rashi
The sixth house is the work house in the practical sense — daily service, employees, routine, and the competition you face — and it takes your ruler for most of the month plus the Sun from the 13th. With Mercury retrograde in it, the productive form of that is process work: cleaning up a system, closing out an audit, renegotiating a service agreement you already have. The unproductive form is starting a new role. If a job change is in the air, the interviews belong to February and the acceptance to March.
Money comes through the eleventh house this month rather than through the second, and it comes through people rather than through effort. Exalted Jupiter there until 26 June 2027 is the best gains transit Kanya Rashi will see before 2038. The specific instruction: ask an existing contact for the introduction rather than waiting for the work to speak for itself. Ketu in the same house is precisely the tendency to not bother asking.
Relationships
Saturn in the seventh house is the long-term frame: it makes relationships a matter of duty and duration rather than of pleasure, and it rewards the version of commitment that is written down. Nothing about that changes this month — Saturn is there until 3 June 2027 — but the entry into Revati on the 8th, under a retrograde Mercury, gives February a specific character. Agreements made now are provisional in practice even when they feel settled.
Venus is in your fourth house until 3:11 pm on the 24th and then in your fifth, which is the friendlier half. The last five days of the month are better for romance and for time with children than the first three weeks were. And the Full Moon on the 21st, in your twelfth house, is more likely to produce withdrawal than confrontation — which for Kanya Rashi is worth naming, because the withdrawal is often read by other people as displeasure.
Health
Two placements point the same way. The sixth house — the house of illness in the practical sense — holds your ruler and then the Sun, which brings health matters into focus, and the twelfth house holds a retrograde Mars with a Full Moon landing on it, which classically reads as disturbed sleep and fatigue that does not match the effort spent. Together they make February a month for diagnosis rather than for endurance: get the thing looked at, and treat sleep as the intervention rather than as the symptom.
The New Moon of the 6th is in your fifth house rather than your sixth, so it is not the natural date for beginning a treatment; the better one is Saturday the 13th, when the Sun enters your sixth. And the general rule while Mars is retrograde applies here too — hold training volume steady until 1 April 2027.
Remedies for Kanya Rashi in February 2027
Four conditions: a retrograde ruler crossing between the fifth and sixth houses, a seventh-house Saturn now in a Mercury-ruled nakshatra, an exalted Jupiter with Ketu in the eleventh, and a retrograde Mars carrying a Full Moon in the twelfth.
- Wednesday observance for Budh — 3, 10, 17 and 24 February: Wednesday belongs to Mercury, your ruler is retrograde from the 9th, and the nakshatra Saturn moves into on the 8th is Mercury’s own. Green moong, a green cloth, and something written given rather than sold. The 24th is the Wednesday your ruler changes house; 3 March, when it turns direct, is also a Wednesday.
- Put the partnership agreement in writing the first time: the direct use of a seventh-house Saturn in Revati with Mercury retrograde. What is understood verbally between the 9th and 3 March will be remembered differently by the two parties.
- Guru worship on the Thursdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 February: Jupiter is exalted in your eleventh house until 26 June 2027 and not again until 2038. Turmeric, chana dal, and a yellow cloth given to someone in your professional circle rather than kept, because the eleventh house is the network itself. See the weak-Jupiter remedies for the forms.
- Ask for the introduction: the least astrological line on this list and the most useful one. An exalted eleventh-house Jupiter works through people, and Ketu in the same house is the reason you will not think to ask.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 6, 13, 20 and 27 February: Saturn is in your seventh house now and reaches the eighth on 3 June 2027, which begins Ardha Ashtama Shani. Sesame oil and iron, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown; our Shani remedies page gives the forms and Saturday fasting is the usual observance.
- Do the institutional business before June: registrations, permissions, claims and anything requiring an authority’s signature are easier under a seventh-house Saturn than they will be under an eighth-house one.
- Treat sleep as the intervention: a retrograde Mars in the twelfth with a Full Moon on it is the specific configuration behind a month of tiredness that the workload does not explain.
- Remembrance of the ancestors around the 21st: the Full Moon falls in Magha, whose deities are the Pitrs and whose lord Ketu sits in your eleventh house. Water offered facing south, and a simple tarpan.
In Summary
Kanya Rashi’s February has an unusually tidy structure, and it is built out of one planet. Saturn enters Revati in your seventh house on Monday 8 February; Revati’s lord is Mercury; Mercury — your ruler — turns retrograde at 11:05 pm on Tuesday the 9th and stays that way until 3 March. Exalted Jupiter and Ketu, in your eleventh house, spend the month in Ashlesha, which is also Mercury-ruled. Three of the month’s four major placements answer to a planet that is going backwards.
So the month has one shape: revise, re-check, re-approach, and write things down. Your ruler retreats from your sixth house into your fifth on Wednesday the 24th at 4:46 am, turns direct at 26°41′ of Capricorn on 3 March at 6:02 pm, and only regains the sixth on 12 March. Interviews in February, acceptance in March, is the pattern for anything to do with work.
The best thing in the chart is the eleventh house: an exalted Jupiter until 26 June 2027, with the next visit in 2038, in the house where gains arrive through people. The hardest morning is Sunday the 21st, when the Full Moon forms at 7°51′ of Leo in your twelfth house, 1°51′ from a retrograde Mars. And the date that matters beyond this month is 3 June 2027, when Saturn reaches your eighth house and Ardha Ashtama Shani begins.
How much of a Mercury retrograde you actually feel depends on your natal Moon’s pada, since the three Virgo nakshatras answer to three different planets — Uttara Phalguni to the Sun, Hasta to the Moon, Chitra to Mars — and only one of them makes your chart Mercury-sensitive twice over. What Kanya Rashi settles and what the pada decides works through that, the Mercury mahadasha guide matters if yours is running, and January’s reading covers what set this month up.
Is Virgo your rising sign too?
Saturn’s directional strength in the seventh is counted from the ascendant, not the Moon — so whether it applies to you is a question about your birth time. A chart reading settles it, and dates your Ardha Ashtama Shani.
