Aquarius Rashifal July 2027 (Kumbha Rashi): Jupiter Holds Your Marriage House All Month, and the Calendar Shuts

Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji

Kumbha Rashi gets the most frustrating combination in the July 2027 sky. Jupiter — the one transit every classical text names as the strongest support for marriage — sits in your seventh house for all thirty-one days. And this is the month the marriage calendar shuts for the rest of the year: the 82-day open run that began on 15 April ends on 5 July, Venus goes combust from the 6th, and Chaturmas begins on the 14th.

There is a piece of timing in that which is almost pointed. Mars has been sharing your seventh house, and it leaves at 4:24 am on Monday 5 July — on the last classically clear wedding day of the whole run. The malefic vacates your marriage house on the final permitted day, leaving Jupiter alone in it for the remaining twenty-six days, with the door already closed.

The reading that follows from that is not “nothing happens.” Jupiter alone in the seventh from the 5th onwards is a strong transit for the relationship itself — for the commitment being made rather than the ceremony being held. Jupiter runs 0°51′ to 6°54′ of Leo across the month, all of it in Magha, changing pada on 14 July and 30 July, and it holds that house into 2028. The calendar reopens after 17 September. The transit will still be there.

Jupiter Is a Guest of Your Own Seventh Lord

Leo is the seventh sign from Aquarius, and Leo is owned by the Sun — so for a Kumbha chart the Sun is the seventh lord, and Jupiter spends the month sitting in the Sun’s own sign. A benefic transiting the house it does not own, in a sign owned by that house’s lord, is about as well-hosted as a transit gets.

The complication is where the host itself goes. The Sun is in your fifth house until 5:42 am on Saturday 17 July, when Karka Sankranti moves it into your sixth house of illness, debt and conflict — and that is the sidereal start of Dakshinayana. A seventh lord dropping into the sixth house for the back half of the month is the classical signature for friction inside a partnership that is otherwise sound: the relationship is supported, the day-to-day of it is not.

Practically, that splits July cleanly at the 17th. Until then, use the good part: Jupiter in the seventh with the seventh lord in your fifth house of joy is unusually pleasant for a couple. After the 17th, expect the ordinary irritations — money, health, obligations — to be where the tension lands, and do not read them as being about the relationship. Our marriage muhurat page for July 2027 sets out what the closures leave, and the page on delay is for readers this timing frustrates.

A New Moon in Your Fifth House, and the Only Conjunction of the Month

Three planets fill your fifth house of children, creativity and study for the first half of July — the Sun, Mercury in its own sign of Gemini, and Venus. The New Moon forms in that house at 8:32 am on Sunday 4 July, at 17°42′ of Gemini in Ardra pada 4. For Kumbha that is the month’s cleanest opening: a reset on creative work, on study, and on a child.

Mercury and Venus are exact in the same fifth house at 2:52 pm on Thursday 1 July, at 3°41′ of Gemini — the only exact conjunction between two planets anywhere in July 2027. Mercury clears 12° from the Sun on 2 July, ending combustion, and turns direct at 1:10 am on Monday 5 July at 3°52′ of Gemini after twenty-five days retrograde. We publish a station to the minute because it is intrinsic — the instant the apparent motion reverses does not move with the ayanamsa a calendar happens to use.

Then the fifth house empties into the sixth, one planet at a time, behind Ketu: the Sun on the 17th, Venus at 1:42 am on Friday 23 July, Mercury at 6:28 pm on Friday 30 July. So the creative fortnight is the first one, and the second is administrative. If there is work you want to start rather than maintain, start it before the 17th.

Guru Purnima Lands in Your Twelfth House — the House of Moksha

The Full Moon of Sunday 18 July at 9:14 pm forms at 1°36′ of Capricorn, in Uttara Ashadha pada 2, in your twelfth house. That is Guru Purnima, four days into Chaturmas. Of the twelve signs, Kumbha is the one whose Guru Purnima Full Moon lights the house of retreat, sleep, expenditure and moksha — and for an observance rather than a celebration, that is the most fitting house it could occupy.

The twelfth house is ruled by Saturn, which also rules your sign, and Rahu sits in that same twelfth house all month, moving from 19°02′ to 17°23′ and staying in Shravana pada 3. The Full Moon is more than seventeen degrees away from Rahu, so it is in the house the node occupies and nowhere near the node itself — a distinction popular writing tends to collapse, and worth keeping straight.

The unglamorous half of a twelfth-house Full Moon is expenditure. Rahu there all month already tends towards money leaving in ways you did not plan, and a Full Moon illuminates the total for one night. Look at it. The useful half is that a spiritual practice begun on Guru Purnima, with the lunation in your twelfth house and Chaturmas already running, has the best structural support a Kumbha reader will get this year.

Sixty Hours of Moon, With Two Events Inside It

The Moon reaches Kumbha Rashi at 7:03 am on Wednesday 21 July and leaves at 7:18 pm on Friday 23 July — sixty hours fifteen minutes, one of the long windows of the month, because the Moon is still slow after apogee. Two things happen inside it, which is unusual: Venus changes sign at 1:42 am on 23 July, forty-two hours thirty-nine minutes into the window, and your debilitated ruler Saturn clears 3°20′ of Aries around 22 July.

That Saturn crossing is given as a date rather than a time on purpose. Saturn covers just 2°18′ to 3°34′ in the whole month — one degree sixteen minutes at about 0.035° a day — so a two-arcminute disagreement between one ayanamsa and another moves the crossing by roughly two days. Printing a minute for it would be invented precision. What it marks is real: Saturn leaves the Revati–Ashwini gandanta it entered on 3 June.

For a Kumbha reader that makes the 21st to the 23rd the week’s centre of gravity: the Moon on your own sign, your ruler stepping out of the junction it has been stuck in for seven weeks, and Venus changing houses in the middle of the night. If there is one stretch in July to begin something that needs the Moon behind it, this is it.

Debilitated Saturn in the Third House

Your ruling planet is debilitated all month, which sounds worse than it is here. Saturn sits in Aries in your third house, and the third is an upachaya house — one of the four in which the classics say a malefic gains rather than loses. Of the twelve signs, Kumbha and Vrishchik get the two least damaging placements for this transit; the same debilitated Saturn lands in the house of home for Makara and the house of partnership for Tula.

The third house is siblings, courage, short journeys, hands and speech. Debilitated Saturn there is slow rather than destructive: a sibling matter that drags, correspondence that will not resolve, effort that produces less than it should for a few weeks. The gandanta clearing around the 22nd is usually where that loosens. The Shani dosh page is worth reading if this is a Sade Sati year for you.

The Month’s Fixed Points

  • Thursday 1 July, 2:52 pm — Mercury and Venus are exact at 3°41′ of Gemini, in your fifth house. The only exact conjunction in July 2027.
  • Friday 2 July — Mercury clears 12° from the Sun and is no longer combust.
  • Sunday 4 July, 1:18 am — Venus enters Ardra in your fifth house.
  • Sunday 4 July, 8:32 am — the New Moon forms in your fifth house at 17°42′ of Gemini, in Ardra pada 4. That day’s panchang.
  • Monday 5 July, 1:10 am — Mercury turns direct at 3°52′ of Gemini, in its own sign, in your fifth house.
  • Monday 5 July, 4:24 am — Mars leaves your seventh house for your eighth, and Jupiter has the marriage house to itself. Jagannath Rath Yatra, and the last classically clear day of the 82-day run. Panchang for the day.
  • Tuesday 6 July — Shukra asta begins; Venus is combust until 17 September and the marriage calendar is shut.
  • Tuesday 6 July, 6:01 pm — the Sun enters Punarvasu in your fifth house.
  • Wednesday 14 July — Devshayani Ekadashi; Chaturmas begins and runs to 10 November. Jupiter reaches Magha pada 2 in your seventh house the same day, and Venus enters Punarvasu at 10:19 pm. Panchang for the day.
  • Saturday 17 July, 5:42 am — the Sun, your seventh lord, leaves your fifth house for your sixth. Karka Sankranti, and the sidereal start of Dakshinayana.
  • Sunday 18 July, 9:14 pm — the Full Moon fills your twelfth house at 1°36′ of Capricorn, in Uttara Ashadha pada 2. Guru Purnima. Panchang for the day.
  • Tuesday 20 July, 5:35 pm — the Sun enters Pushya in your sixth house.
  • 21 July 7:03 am to 23 July 7:18 pm — the Moon is on your sign. Sixty hours fifteen minutes, with two events inside it.
  • Thursday 22 July, 7:19 pm — Mars enters Hasta in your eighth house. Saturn clears 3°20′ of Aries in your third house around the same date, leaving the gandanta it entered on 3 June.
  • Friday 23 July, 1:42 am — Venus leaves your fifth house for your sixth, still combust, forty-two hours into your Chandra window.
  • Sunday 25 July, 3:39 am — Mercury enters Punarvasu; Venus reaches Pushya at 6:44 pm.
  • Friday 30 July, 6:28 pm — Mercury leaves your fifth house for your sixth, emptying the fifth. Jupiter enters Magha pada 3 in your seventh the same day.

Week by Week

Thirty-one days, Thursday to Saturday: five Saturdays on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st, and only four Wednesdays. The five Shanivars are the ones to use, with your ruler debilitated for all thirty-one days.

1–7 July

The month’s only week with formal permission in it, and its best. Mercury and Venus are exact in your fifth house at 2:52 pm on Thursday the 1st, Mercury leaves combustion on Friday the 2nd, the New Moon forms in your fifth house at 8:32 am on Sunday the 4th, and Monday the 5th brings Mercury direct at 1:10 am, Mars out of your seventh at 4:24 am, Rath Yatra, and the last clear wedding day until the autumn. From Tuesday the 6th, Venus is dark.

8–14 July

Structural rather than eventful. Jupiter is alone in your marriage house and Mercury is direct in your fifth, which makes this the right week for creative work that had stalled since mid-June. Wednesday the 14th carries Devshayani Ekadashi and the start of Chaturmas to 10 November, Mercury re-entering Ardra at 1:58 am, Jupiter reaching Magha pada 2 in your seventh house, and Venus entering Punarvasu at 10:19 pm.

15–21 July

The week the month turns. Karka Sankranti at 5:42 am on Saturday the 17th moves the Sun — your seventh lord — out of your fifth house and into your sixth, and starts the sidereal Dakshinayana. Then Guru Purnima on Sunday the 18th: the Full Moon forms in your twelfth house at 9:14 pm, with the Purnima tithi ending at that instant. The Sun enters Pushya at 5:35 pm on Tuesday the 20th, and the Moon arrives on Kumbha Rashi at 7:03 am on Wednesday the 21st.

22–28 July

Your week. The Moon holds your sign until 7:18 pm on Friday the 23rd, and inside that window Saturn clears 3°20′ of Aries in your third house around Thursday the 22nd and Venus crosses into your sixth at 1:42 am on Friday the 23rd. Mars enters Hasta in your eighth at 7:19 pm on the 22nd. Saturday the 24th is the first Shanivar with your ruler out of the gandanta — use it.

29–31 July

Three days that close the creative chapter. Mercury leaves your fifth house at 6:28 pm on Friday the 30th, so the house that held three planets and a New Moon ends the month empty, and Jupiter reaches Magha pada 3 in your seventh the same day. Saturday the 31st is the fifth Shanivar of the month, and closing July with a Shani observance is the sensible use of it.

Career and Money for Kumbha Rashi

Your tenth house of career is Scorpio and empty all month, and its ruler Mars moves from your seventh house to your eighth on the 5th — so career is running on its own momentum rather than being pushed. Mars in the eighth for twenty-six days, entering Hasta at 7:19 pm on the 22nd, tends to show up as work involving other people’s money, research, or something that has to be dug out. See our career remedies page.

Money has one clear warning and one clear opportunity. The warning is the twelfth house: Rahu in it all month, and the Full Moon of the 18th in it, is the plainest expenditure signal in your chart this July — money leaving through routes you did not budget for. The opportunity is your eleventh house of gains, Sagittarius, ruled by the same Jupiter that sits well in your seventh; gains arrive through a partner or a partnership rather than directly. See our financial remedies page.

The sixth house filling up from the 17th — the Sun on the 17th, Venus on the 23rd, Mercury on the 30th, all behind Ketu — makes the second half of the month the time to deal with debt, disputes and paperwork rather than to expand. With Venus combust from the 6th, do not accept a valuation or settle a figure in the second fortnight; do the arithmetic and ignore the impression.

Home, Family and Partnership

Partnership is the month’s headline and it splits at the 17th. Until then, Jupiter alone in your seventh house with the seventh lord in your fifth is genuinely warm — the best two weeks of the quarter for a couple, and the right fortnight to have the conversation about what comes next. After Karka Sankranti the seventh lord is in your sixth house and the practical irritations take over. The transit stays good; the weather around it does not.

On the ceremony itself, be clear-eyed: the last classically clear day is 5 July, Venus is combust from the 6th to 17 September, and Chaturmas runs from the 14th to 10 November. July is for the decision. Jupiter will still be in your seventh house when the calendar reopens, which is the genuinely useful thing to know.

Home is your fourth house, Taurus, empty all month and ruled by combust Venus — quiet, needing initiative rather than reacting to events. Children and creative work get the good half of the month: three planets and a New Moon in your fifth house until mid-July. If a samskara is being planned, the child samskara page for July 2027 shows what the closures leave.

Health

Your sixth house of illness is empty until the 17th and then collects three planets behind Ketu, which makes the second half of July the part to pay attention to. The Sun arriving there at Karka Sankranti is the usual marker for the body making a point it has been hinting at. Mars in your eighth house from the 5th, in Hasta from the 22nd, adds hands, wrists and anything chronic to the list.

For anything you want to begin, the Chandra window is 7:03 am on 21 July to 7:18 pm on 23 July — sixty hours fifteen minutes, with Saturn leaving its gandanta around the 22nd inside it. Brahma muhurta on the 22nd and 23rd, with the Moon on your own sign and Chaturmas already running, is the strongest pair of mornings your month offers.

Remedies for Kumbha Rashi in July 2027

Four conditions define the month: Jupiter alone in your seventh house from the 5th, in the month the marriage calendar shuts; the Guru Purnima Full Moon in your twelfth house; Rahu in that same twelfth house all thirty-one days; and your ruler debilitated in the third, in a gandanta until about the 22nd.

  • Shani observance on the Saturdays — 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 July: your ruler is debilitated all month, and July hands you five Shanivars. Sesame oil, black til, mustard oil to a peepal after sundown. See Shani remedies and Saturday fasting.
  • Guru Purnima on Sunday 18 July, with the Full Moon in your twelfth house: of the twelve signs, yours puts this lunation in the house of moksha, four days into Chaturmas. Begin the practice rather than only attending the puja — the structure will not be this favourable again this year.
  • Guru worship on the Thursdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 July: Jupiter holds your seventh house all month, changing pada on the 14th and 30th. Turmeric, chana dal, and yellow given to a teacher rather than worn. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
  • Something given away, for Rahu in the twelfth: Rahu sits in your house of expenditure all month and the Full Moon lights it on the 18th. Regular deliberate giving is the classical counterweight, because it converts unplanned loss into chosen loss. See Rahu remedies and the Rahu–Ketu page.
  • Shukra observance on the Fridays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 July: Venus rules your fourth and ninth houses and is combust from the 6th until 17 September. White cloth, rice, ghee, something fragrant offered rather than worn. See Shukra remedies and Friday fasting.
  • Use the first fortnight for the fifth house: creative work, study and a child all have three planets and a New Moon behind them until the 17th and nothing after it. Start before Karka Sankranti.
  • Keep 21 to 23 July clear: sixty hours fifteen minutes of Moon on your own sign, with your ruler leaving its gandanta inside the window.

In Summary

For Kumbha Rashi, July 2027 hands you the right transit at the wrong moment. Jupiter holds your seventh house for all thirty-one days, running 0°51′ to 6°54′ of Magha and changing pada on the 14th and 30th — and Mars vacates that same house at 4:24 am on 5 July, the last classically clear wedding day of the 82-day run, leaving Jupiter there alone with the calendar already shut.

The Sun, your seventh lord, hosts Jupiter in its own sign and then drops from your fifth house into your sixth at Karka Sankranti, 5:42 am on 17 July — which splits the month into a warm first fortnight and an administrative second one. The Guru Purnima Full Moon of 18 July at 9:14 pm lands in your twelfth house, the house of moksha, four days into Chaturmas, with Rahu in the same house all month about seventeen and a half degrees away.

Your Chandra window — 7:03 am on 21 July to 7:18 pm on 23 July, sixty hours fifteen minutes — carries two events inside it: Saturn leaving its gandanta around the 22nd and Venus changing signs at 1:42 am on the 23rd. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Aquarius padas holds your natal Moon, where Saturn sits in your own chart, and which dasha is running decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read June’s reading, what Kumbha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on strengthening a weak Saturn.

Jupiter is in your seventh house and the calendar is shut

Whether a marriage transit reaches you depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon and which dasha is running — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
