Aries Rashifal October 2027 (Mesha Rashi): Saturn Steps Off Your Sign on the Twentieth and Your Seventh House Takes Over the Month
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
On 20 October, Saturn leaves Mesha Rashi. It has been sitting on your sign in the sign of its own debilitation, and because it is retrograde it slides backwards out of Aries into Pisces — your twelfth house — ending both the debilitation and the occupancy in one move. If you have felt weighed down by something you could not name since Saturn arrived, this is the date it lifts.
We publish that as a date and not a clock time on purpose. Saturn is crawling at roughly 0.079° a day at the boundary, and at that speed the exact minute of a sign change depends on which ayanamsa you use rather than on the ephemeris. The day is a fact. The minute would be a convention dressed up as one.
The rest of October belongs to your seventh house. Libra holds Mars until the 8th, Mercury for most of the month and retrograde from the 7th, Venus in its own sign from the 3rd, and the Sun debilitated from the 18th. Both of October’s exact conjunctions happen in that house, and the New Moon of Diwali forms there on the 29th.
What Actually Changes on the Twentieth
Two things end together. First, the debilitation: Aries is the sign of Saturn’s fall, and a fallen Saturn produces effort that does not convert — work done without result, delays with no visible cause, a general sense of pushing against a door that is bolted. Second, the occupancy of your own sign, which is what made all of that personal rather than departmental.
What replaces it is Saturn in your twelfth house, still retrograde, at 29°05′ of Pisces in Revati pada 4 by month end. The twelfth is a quieter room for a malefic than the first. It shows up as expenditure, foreign or hospital matters and disturbed sleep rather than as a weight on your own person. That is a real trade, and on balance a good one.
There is a detail worth keeping. The Full Moon of 15 October forms at 27°42′ of Pisces, in Revati pada 4 — and five days later Saturn reverses into that same pada. So the last quarter of your twelfth house gets illuminated by a Full Moon and then occupied by Saturn inside a single week. See our Shani remedies, Saturday fasting and Sade Sati pages.
Five Bodies Through One House
Your seventh house of partnership is the busiest house in any chart this month. Mars starts there and leaves at 1:21 am on Friday 8 October. Venus arrives at 6:20 pm on Sunday 3 October — and Libra is Venus’s own sign, so it steps out of the debilitation it carried through September in the same instant. Mercury is there from the first day, turns retrograde on the 7th, and leaves on the 21st. The Sun arrives at 2:03 am on Monday 18 October, debilitated.
Then the two exact conjunctions, both in that house. Mercury and Venus are exact at 9°46′ of Libra at 3:02 pm on Monday 11 October. The Sun and Mercury are exact at 1°47′ of Libra at 9:00 pm on Tuesday 19 October. And the month’s New Moon forms at 11°42′ of Libra in Swati pada 2 at 7:06 pm on Friday 29 October.
Read plainly: October is a month in which everything happens through other people. A spouse, a business partner, a client, an opponent in a negotiation — whichever the seventh house means for you, that is where the month’s events are. The good news is Venus in its own sign there from the 3rd. The caution is the Sun debilitated there from the 18th, which reads as somebody else’s ego running the room.
Your Ruler Reaches Its Own Sign on the Eighth
Mars rules Mesha Rashi, and at 1:21 am on Friday 8 October it crosses from Libra into Scorpio — the other sign it owns. Scorpio is your eighth house, so your ruler spends the last three weeks of October strong, in its own sign, in the house of joint money, inheritance, insurance, research and surgery. It covers 22°08′ across the month, from 25°05′ of Vishakha to 17°09′ of Jyeshtha.
A strong Mars in the eighth is a good transit for pursuing what is owed to you and a poor one for patience. It gives the energy to chase a claim, force a settlement or push a medical decision to a conclusion. It also produces the temptation to make the recovery of money into a matter of honour. Keep the arithmetic separate from the argument.
Note the order of events. Mars leaves your partnership house on the 8th, before Mercury turns retrograde in it, before both exact conjunctions, and before the debilitated Sun arrives. So the month’s first week is the one where you can push directly; after the 8th the pressure has to be applied through the eighth house instead. See our Mangal remedies, Tuesday fasting and Mangal dosh pages.
Twenty Days and Twenty-Three Hours of Mercury Retrograde
Mercury turns retrograde at 8:06 pm on Thursday 7 October and turns direct again at 7:40 pm on Thursday 28 October. That is twenty days and twenty-three hours thirty-four minutes of retrograde motion — two thirds of the month. Both stations are published to the minute because a station is intrinsic to the geometry: it is the instant the apparent motion reverses, and no choice of ayanamsa moves it.
While retrograde, Mercury reverses into Chitra at 4:26 pm on Friday 15 October, and then back across the sign boundary into Virgo — where it is exalted — at 8:16 am on Thursday 21 October. Virgo is your sixth house. So your paperwork planet ends the month strong, in a good house for a struggle, and turns direct there on the 28th.
The practical shape of the month follows from that. Anything that depends on documents, agreements, filings or clear communication is best finished in the first week of October or left until after the 28th. Between those, expect to redo things. The one exception is the sixth house work — disputes, debts, competitors, health paperwork — which an exalted Mercury handles well even retrograde, from the 21st.
The Month’s Fixed Points
- Friday 1 October — Saturn debilitated on your sign; Mars and Mercury in your seventh house; a debilitated Venus and the Sun in your sixth; Jupiter at 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni in your fifth; Rahu in your tenth, Ketu in your fourth. Sharad Navratri, which began on 30 September, is running.
- Sunday 3 October, 6:20 pm — Venus leaves your sixth house for your seventh and is in its own sign there, out of debilitation.
- Thursday 7 October, 8:06 pm — Mercury turns retrograde in your seventh house. Durga Ashtami falls on Thursday 7 October. The ashtami tithi spans two sunrises that year, so some panchangs place the observance a day later — check your family’s.
- Friday 8 October, 1:21 am — Mars leaves your seventh house for your eighth and is in its own sign there for the rest of the month.
- Saturday 9 October — Maha Navami. Dussehra falls on Saturday 9 October. That day’s panchang.
- Saturday 9 October, 3:05 am — Venus enters Swati in your seventh house.
- Monday 11 October, 3:02 pm — Mercury and Venus are exact at 9°46′ of Libra in your seventh house; the Sun enters Chitra at 8:26 am in your sixth.
- Tuesday 12 October, 6:50 pm — Mars enters Anuradha in your eighth house.
- Thursday 14 October — Sharad Purnima. Panchang for the day.
- Friday 15 October, 4:26 pm — retrograde Mercury reverses into Chitra in your seventh house; the Full Moon forms in your twelfth house at 7:17 pm at 27°42′ of Pisces, in Revati pada 4; the Moon arrives on Mesha Rashi at 11:29 pm for fifty-four hours thirty-two minutes.
- Monday 18 October, 2:03 am — Tula Sankranti: the Sun enters Libra and your seventh house, debilitated, fifty hours thirty-four minutes into the Moon’s stay on your sign. The Moon leaves your sign at 6:01 am.
- Tuesday 19 October, 9:00 pm — the Sun and Mercury are exact at 1°47′ of Libra in your seventh house; Venus enters Vishakha at 8:40 pm. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October.
- Wednesday 20 October — Saturn leaves your sign for your twelfth house, and its debilitation ends. A day, not a minute: at 0.079° a day the boundary is ayanamsa-dependent.
- Thursday 21 October, 8:16 am — retrograde Mercury reverses into Virgo and your sixth house, and is exalted there for the rest of the month.
- Sunday 24 October, 7:01 pm — the Sun enters Swati in your seventh house.

- Thursday 28 October, 7:40 pm — Mercury turns direct in your sixth house, exalted. Narak Chaturdashi falls on Thursday 28 October.
- Friday 29 October, 7:06 pm — the New Moon forms in your seventh house at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October, and the amavasya tithi ends at that same instant. Panchang for the day.
- Saturday 30 October, 2:17 pm — Venus enters Anuradha in your eighth house. Govardhan Puja falls on Saturday 30 October.
- Sunday 31 October, 7:57 am — Mars enters Jyeshtha in your eighth house. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October.
Week by Week
Thirty-one days running Friday to Sunday. Five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays; four each of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday is your ruler’s day and October gives four — the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th — with Mars in its own sign on the last three.
1–7 October
The only clean week of the month for documents, because Mercury is still direct until 8:06 pm on Thursday the 7th. Venus crosses into your seventh house in its own sign at 6:20 pm on Sunday the 3rd, which is the month’s first genuine improvement. Durga Ashtami falls on Thursday 7 October. Sign, file and confirm before Thursday evening.
8–14 October
Mars reaches its own sign in your eighth house at 1:21 am on Friday the 8th; Venus enters Swati at 3:05 am on Saturday the 9th; the Sun enters Chitra at 8:26 am and Mercury and Venus are exact at 9°46′ of Libra at 3:02 pm on Monday the 11th; Mars enters Anuradha at 6:50 pm on Tuesday the 12th. Dussehra falls on Saturday 9 October. Sharad Purnima falls on Thursday 14 October.
15–21 October
The pivot week. Retrograde Mercury reverses into Chitra at 4:26 pm and the Full Moon forms in your twelfth house at 7:17 pm on Friday the 15th, with the Moon reaching your own sign at 11:29 pm; Tula Sankranti brings a debilitated Sun into your seventh at 2:03 am on Monday the 18th; the Sun and Mercury are exact at 9:00 pm on Tuesday the 19th; Saturn leaves your sign on Wednesday the 20th; Mercury reverses into Virgo, exalted, at 8:16 am on Thursday the 21st. Karva Chauth falls on Tuesday 19 October.
22–28 October
The lightest week of the month for you, and the one where the change of the 20th starts to register. The Sun enters Swati at 7:01 pm on Sunday the 24th; Venus crosses into your eighth house at 9:53 pm on Wednesday the 27th; Mercury turns direct, exalted, at 7:40 pm on Thursday the 28th. Dhanteras falls on Wednesday 27 October. Narak Chaturdashi falls on Thursday 28 October. Resume anything you paused on the 7th.
29–31 October
The New Moon forms in your seventh house at 7:06 pm on Friday the 29th at 11°42′ of Libra, in Swati pada 2. Diwali falls on Friday 29 October. Venus enters Anuradha at 2:17 pm on Saturday the 30th and Mars enters Jyeshtha at 7:57 am on Sunday the 31st. Govardhan Puja falls on Saturday 30 October. Bhai Dooj falls on Sunday 31 October. A seventh-house New Moon on Diwali is the best two-party beginning of your year.
Career and Money for Mesha Rashi
Capricorn, your tenth house, holds Rahu all month, drifting from 14°09′ to 12°31′ of Shravana, and it is ruled by the Saturn that leaves your sign on the 20th. Rahu in the tenth enlarges ambition and reputation at the same time, which is useful and unstable. With Mercury retrograde for two thirds of the month, avoid announcing anything you have not already secured. See our career remedies page.
Money divides between two houses. Your second house of wealth is empty and ruled by that Venus — which improves markedly on the 3rd when it reaches its own sign. Your eighth house holds a strong Mars from the 8th and Venus from the 27th, which is where shared money, dues and claims live. So October favours recovering money over earning it.
Two dates matter for anything financial. Wait until after 7:40 pm on 28 October, when Mercury turns direct and exalted, to finalise numbers or sign a facility. And treat the Diwali New Moon of the 29th as an opening rather than a closing — a New Moon begins cycles well and concludes nothing. See our financial remedies page.
Home, Family and Partnership
Partnership is the month’s whole subject, and it improves in two steps and worsens in one. Venus reaching its own sign in your seventh house at 6:20 pm on the 3rd is the improvement. The Diwali New Moon there on the 29th is the second. The debilitated Sun arriving on the 18th is the cost — expect the other person to be more concerned with being right than with being effective for about a fortnight. The wedding calendar stays shut: Chaturmas runs to Devuthani Ekadashi in November. See the marriage muhurat page for October 2027 and our marriage delay page.
Home carries Ketu all month. Cancer is your fourth house and Ketu sits there from 14°09′ falling to 12°31′ of Pushya — a detachment from the house rather than a disturbance in it. Rooms feel unfamiliar; you find yourself indifferent to a domestic matter you used to care about. It passes. If a property step is unavoidable, the griha pravesh page for October 2027 and the business and property page give the formal dates.
Children and study are the month’s quiet strength. Jupiter holds Leo, your fifth house, for all thirty-one days, moving from 19°58′ to 26°00′ of Purva Phalguni — from pada 2 to pada 4 — and it is visible throughout, having come out of combustion in September. A visible Jupiter in the fifth is the best transit there is for a child, a course or a creative project.
Health
The most useful health fact of your October is the 20th, when a debilitated Saturn stops sitting on your own sign. Saturn on the rashi is the classical signature of low stamina, stiffness and a slowness that is physical rather than psychological. Moving to the twelfth house changes its expression to sleep, expenditure and anything to do with hospitals — lighter, but worth respecting.
Your sixth house of illness receives an exalted Mercury from the 21st, which is a genuinely favourable transit for diagnosis and for finally understanding a chronic complaint — though with Mercury retrograde until the 28th, get a second opinion rather than a first conclusion. Mesha’s standing weak points are the head, eyes and blood pressure. Your Chandra window runs 11:29 pm on 15 October to 6:01 am on 18 October, fifty-four hours thirty-two minutes, with Tula Sankranti fifty hours thirty-four minutes into it.
Remedies for Mesha Rashi in October 2027
Four conditions define the month: a debilitated Saturn leaving your own sign on 20 October; five bodies and both exact conjunctions passing through your seventh house, ending with the Diwali New Moon there on the 29th; your ruler in its own sign in your eighth from 1:21 am on 8 October; and Mercury retrograde from 8:06 pm on 7 October to 7:40 pm on 28 October.
- Finish paperwork before 8:06 pm on 7 October, or wait until after 7:40 pm on 28 October: twenty days and twenty-three hours of retrograde Mercury sit between those two instants, most of them in your partnership house.
- Do not read the first half of the month as the verdict: Saturn is debilitated on your own sign until the 20th. The results that refuse to arrive before then are being delayed, not denied.
- Shani observance on the five Saturdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 October: the first three with Saturn still on your sign, the last two with it gone. Sesame oil, black til, mustard oil to a peepal after sundown, and service to someone older. See Shani remedies and Shani dosh.
- Push the claim after 8 October, and keep it arithmetic: Mars in its own sign in your eighth house recovers what is owed, and it also turns money into a matter of pride if you let it.
- Let the other person be right between the 18th and the end of the month: a debilitated Sun in your seventh house makes their need to win larger than the thing being won.
- Mangal practice on the four Tuesdays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 October: your ruler is in its own sign on the last three. Red masoor, jaggery, and physical work rather than argument. See Mangal remedies and Tuesday fasting.
- Begin the two-party thing on Diwali: the New Moon forms in your seventh house at 7:06 pm on 29 October, at the instant the amavasya tithi ends. Open an account, sign a partnership, restart a conversation.
In Summary
For Mesha Rashi, October 2027 has one date that matters more than the rest. On 20 October Saturn leaves your sign, retrograde, back into Pisces and your twelfth house — ending its debilitation and its occupancy of your rashi together. We give the day rather than the minute because Saturn is moving at about 0.079° a day there, and at that speed the minute belongs to the ayanamsa rather than to the sky.
Everything else happens in your seventh house. Mars leaves it at 1:21 am on 8 October for its own sign in your eighth; Venus arrives in its own sign at 6:20 pm on 3 October; Mercury turns retrograde there at 8:06 pm on 7 October and leaves on the 21st; a debilitated Sun arrives with Tula Sankranti at 2:03 am on 18 October; and both of the month’s exact conjunctions land there — Mercury with Venus at 3:02 pm on 11 October, the Sun with Mercury at 9:00 pm on 19 October.
The month closes with the New Moon of Diwali forming in that same seventh house at 7:06 pm on Friday 29 October, at 11°42′ of Libra in Swati pada 2, at the instant the amavasya tithi ends. Between the Full Moon of the 15th in your twelfth house and Saturn reversing into that same Revati pada five days later, the second half of October is a genuine turn rather than a continuation. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Mesha padas holds your natal Moon, where Saturn and Mars sit in your own chart, and which dasha is running decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read September’s reading, what Mesha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on Saturn in Vedic astrology.
The month Saturn steps off your sign
Whether 20 October brings the relief it promises depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon, where Saturn and Mars sit in your own chart, and which dasha is running — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
