Gemini Rashifal August 2027 (Mithuna Rashi): Your Ruler Is in Four of the Month’s Eight Exact Conjunctions

Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji

August 2027 has eight exact conjunctions, against exactly one in July, and Mercury is in four of them. Your ruler is exact with Ketu at 3:16 am on Sunday 8 August, with Venus at 11:59 am on Wednesday 11 August, with the Sun at 4:32 pm the same day, and with Jupiter at 4:16 am on Friday 20 August. No other planet appears in more than three.

It is also the month’s fastest-moving body by a wide margin. Mercury covers 59 degrees in thirty-one days — twice what the Sun covers — crosses five nakshatras, and changes sign twice. It leaves Cancer for Leo at 11:50 am on Saturday 14 August, entering Magha at the same instant, and then enters Virgo at 1:57 am on Tuesday 31 August, where it is both exalted and in its own sign. Mercury is the only planet for which those two things coincide.

For a Mithuna chart the geography matters as much as the motion. Cancer is your second house of income and speech; Leo is your third house of communication, siblings and courage; Virgo is your fourth house of home. So your ruler starts the month in the house of what you earn, spends the middle in the house of what you say, and ends it exalted in the house of where you live — and it arrives there with one day of August left.

Six Exact Conjunctions in Your House of Income

Cancer holds Ketu for all thirty-one days, moving backwards from 17°23′ to 15°45′, and it holds the Sun, Mercury and Venus for the first half of the month. The New Moon of 3:35 pm on Monday 2 August forms there too, at 15°42′ of Cancer in Pushya pada 4. Between the 4th and the 12th, six of August’s eight exact conjunctions happen in that one house.

In order: the Sun is exact with Ketu at 6:07 am on Wednesday 4 August at 17°13′, Venus with Ketu at 11:15 pm on Thursday 5 August at 17°07′, Mercury with Ketu at 3:16 am on Sunday 8 August at 17°01′. Then the three of them meet each other further along the sign: Mercury with Venus at 11:59 am on Wednesday 11 August at 23°57′, the Sun with Mercury at 4:32 pm the same day at 24°20′, and the Sun with Venus at 5:50 am on Thursday 12 August at 24°52′. All six fall inside Ashlesha.

A second house this active is a month about money and speech, and the presence of Ketu changes what kind of month. Ketu is the significator of what has already been used up; three planets crossing it in the house of income tends to expose the state of your finances rather than improve it. That is genuinely useful, but it is not the same thing as gain. The practical instruction is to look at the numbers between the 2nd and the 12th rather than to act on them.

Then Your Third House Fills

Jupiter has been in Leo, your third house, since before August began and stays all thirty-one days, running 6°54′ to 13°33′. Mercury joins it on the 14th, Venus at 9:29 am on Monday 16 August, and the Sun at 2:07 pm on Tuesday 17 August — Simha Sankranti, the Sun entering its own sign. From the 17th your third house holds four planets, and it takes the remaining two exact conjunctions of the month: Mercury with Jupiter at 4:16 am on Friday 20 August at 10°59′ of Leo, and Venus with Jupiter at 8:29 am on Thursday 26 August at 12°19′.

The second New Moon of the month also lands there, at 11:11 pm on Tuesday 31 August, at 13°54′ of Leo in Purva Phalguni pada 1. Two New Moons inside one calendar month is uncommon — it requires the first to fall in the opening two days, and this one lands on the 2nd. For Mithuna the pair splits across your house of income and your house of communication, which is a fair description of what a Gemini month is usually about.

The third house is upachaya: it improves with occupancy, and malefics do well there. Four planets in it, including Jupiter and your own ruler, is the strongest position Mithuna gets all month. It is the fortnight to write, teach, publish, argue a case, or repair something with a sibling. The limit is that Jupiter goes combust from the 16th and Venus is combust throughout, so two of the four are working at reduced power.

The Full Moon in Your Eighth House

The Full Moon of 12:58 pm on Tuesday 17 August forms at the very end of Capricorn, in the closing minutes of Dhanishta pada 2 — your eighth house of inheritance, joint finances, insurance and hidden things. The timing is unusually tight: the Moon leaves Capricorn at 1:04 pm, six minutes after the lunation, and Simha Sankranti follows at 2:07 pm. Three events in sixty-nine minutes. Raksha Bandhan falls on Tuesday 17 August, and the Purnima tithi it needs ends at the Full Moon itself.

Rahu sits in that eighth house for all thirty-one days, moving backwards from 17°23′ to 15°45′ in Shravana, and on the 17th it stands at roughly 16°30′. The Full Moon is therefore about thirteen and a half degrees from Rahu: the same house, not a conjunction. Popular writing collapses those two claims constantly, and they are not the same.

A Full Moon in the eighth house shows you what a shared arrangement is actually worth — a joint account, an inheritance, an insurance position, a debt someone owes you through a third party. It does not resolve it; it illuminates it for one night. With Rahu in the same house all month, the temptation is to act fast on what you see. Do not; Venus, the ruler of your fifth and twelfth houses, is combust, and Jupiter, the ruler of your seventh and tenth, goes combust from the 16th. See our Rahu–Ketu remedies page.

Saturn Turns Retrograde in Your Eleventh

Saturn is in Aries all month, its sign of debilitation, in your eleventh house of gains, networks and elder siblings. It covers only 3°34′ to 3°13′ of Ashwini — thirty-five arcminutes in thirty-one days, the slowest of the seven visible bodies — and it turns retrograde at 11:04 pm on Monday 9 August.

The eleventh is the second of the two houses where a debilitated Saturn does least harm, and Mithuna gets it. Saturn in the eleventh still slows gains and makes a network feel unresponsive, but it does not damage. The station gets a minute where Saturn’s sign position does not, and for a reason: a station is intrinsic to the geometry of the Earth and the planet and does not depend on the ayanamsa, while a crossing at 0.035 degrees a day does — a two-arcminute disagreement between ayanamsas would move a printed Saturn ingress by about two days.

The Month’s Fixed Points

  • Sunday 1 August, 11:21 am — Mercury enters Pushya in your second house, the first of its five nakshatra crossings. The Moon reaches Cancer at 2:47 pm.

  • Tuesday 31 August, 1:57 am — Mercury enters Virgo, exalted and in its own sign, in your fourth house. The Sun enters Purva Phalguni at 10:05 am, and the second New Moon forms in your third house at 11:11 pm. Panchang for the day.

Week by Week

Thirty-one days running Sunday to Tuesday. Five Sundays, five Mondays and five Tuesdays; only four Wednesdays — the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. For a Mercury-ruled sign in the month Mercury is busiest, that is a thin allocation. Use all four.

1–7 August

Your second house of income does all the work. Mercury enters Pushya there at 11:21 am on Sunday the 1st, the New Moon forms in that house at 3:35 pm on Monday the 2nd, the Sun crosses into Ashlesha at 4:26 pm on Tuesday the 3rd, and the Sun is exact with Ketu at 6:07 am on Wednesday the 4th. Venus follows across Ketu at 11:15 pm on Thursday the 5th. Hariyali Teej falls on Wednesday 4 August. Nag Panchami falls on Friday 6 August. A New Moon in the second house is a real reset on budgets and on how you speak about money.

8–14 August

The densest week of the month, and three of your ruler’s four conjunctions fall in it. Mercury is exact with Ketu at 3:16 am on Sunday the 8th; Saturn turns retrograde in your eleventh house at 11:04 pm on Monday the 9th; Wednesday the 11th carries Mercury exact with Venus at 11:59 am and the Sun exact with Mercury at 4:32 pm; and Thursday the 12th is the deepest point of Venus’s combustion. Mercury then moves up to your third house at 11:50 am on Saturday the 14th. Look at the money this week, decide nothing.

15–21 August

Your third house fills. Venus crosses in at 9:29 am on Monday the 16th and Guru asta begins the same day. Tuesday the 17th packs three events into sixty-nine minutes: the Full Moon in your eighth house at 12:58 pm, the Moon out of Capricorn at 1:04 pm, and Simha Sankranti at 2:07 pm, which brings the fourth planet into your third house. Raksha Bandhan falls on Tuesday 17 August. Mercury is exact with Jupiter at 4:16 am on Friday the 20th and enters Purva Phalguni at 10:40 am on Saturday the 21st.

22–28 August

Mars leaves your fourth house for your fifth at 9:42 am on Tuesday the 24th, which is Krishna Janmashtami. Venus is exact with Jupiter in your third house at 8:29 am on Thursday the 26th, and the Moon reaches Mithuna Rashi at 11:06 pm the same night. Venus enters Purva Phalguni at 4:03 am on Friday the 27th — four hours fifty-seven minutes into your Chandra window, which is the closest thing August gives you to a favourable start.

29–31 August

Your window closes at 12:53 am on Sunday the 29th, twenty-six minutes before Mercury enters Uttara Phalguni at 1:19 am. Then Tuesday the 31st: your ruler reaches Virgo at 1:57 am, exalted and in its own sign, landing in your fourth house; the Sun enters Purva Phalguni at 10:05 am; Jupiter reaches Purva Phalguni in the last hours of the month; and the second New Moon of August forms in your third house at 11:11 pm. An exalted ruler and a New Moon on the same date is the best pairing your month contains, and it is the last day of it.

Career and Money for Mithuna Rashi

Career sits in your tenth house, Pisces, empty all month, and its ruler Jupiter is in your third house and combust from the 16th to 15 September. That combination reads as work that is going on but not being seen. The compensating factor is your own ruler: Mercury is the most active planet of the month and ends it exalted, so anything you do personally — writing, presenting, negotiating, analysing — carries further than your position does. Do the work under your own name.

Money is the month’s loudest theme and needs the clearest reading. Your second house of income holds three planets, Ketu, a New Moon and six exact conjunctions in the first twelve days. That is attention, not increase. Your eleventh house of gains holds a debilitated Saturn that turns retrograde on the 9th, which slows anything owed to you through a group or a network. And the Full Moon lands in your eighth house on the 17th, which is where joint money lives. The sequence the month suggests is: audit between the 2nd and the 12th, look at the shared arrangements around the 17th, and act after the 31st. See our financial remedies page.

One specific caution. With Venus combust for all thirty-one days and deepest on the 12th, and Jupiter combust from the 16th, both natural benefics are working at reduced power for most of August. That is the definition of a month for preparation. See also our career remedies page.

Home, Family and Partnership

Home improves at the very end. Virgo is your fourth house, and it holds Mars for the first twenty-three days — a malefic in the house of home, which reads as friction under the roof, a repair pushed through with force, or simple impatience with the people you live with. Mars leaves at 9:42 am on 24 August, and then Mercury arrives there exalted at 1:57 am on 31 August. The month ends much better than it runs.

Partnership is quiet. Your seventh house is Sagittarius, empty all month, ruled by Jupiter, which sits in your third house and goes combust from the 16th. A combust ruler of the seventh is a month in which the relationship is fine but not moving. On the calendar, August is shut for weddings from end to end: Chaturmas covers all thirty-one days, Venus is combust to 17 September, and Jupiter joins it from the 16th to 15 September. The marriage muhurat page for August 2027 sets out the arithmetic.

Children and creative work pick up in the last week, when Mars enters your fifth house on the 24th. Mars in the fifth is energetic and impatient with children rather than harmful, and it is good for competitive or physical creative work. Venus, which rules that house for you, is combust throughout, so romance is better held than pushed. If there is a samskara to plan, the child samskara page for August 2027 shows what the closures leave.

Health

The sixth house of health is Scorpio, empty all month, and its ruler Mars sits in your fourth house until the 24th. In a Mithuna chart the standing vulnerabilities are the nervous system, the lungs and the hands, and the month’s specific risk is overload: your ruler moves 59 degrees, crosses five nakshatras and takes four exact conjunctions, which in practice tends to feel like too many things at once. The correction is deliberately unfashionable — fewer inputs, earlier nights, less reading.

For anything you want to begin, your Chandra window is 11:06 pm on 26 August to 12:53 am on 29 August — forty-nine hours forty-seven minutes with the Moon on your own sign, with Venus’s nakshatra change four hours fifty-seven minutes into it. Brahma muhurta on the 27th and 28th, with the Moon still on Mithuna, is the strongest pair of mornings in the month. For a formal beginning the 31st is better, because of the exalted Mercury at 1:57 am and the New Moon at 11:11 pm.

Remedies for Mithuna Rashi in August 2027

Four conditions define the month: your ruler in four of the eight exact conjunctions and exalted from the 31st; six exact conjunctions plus a New Moon in your second house of income between the 2nd and the 12th; your third house filling to four planets by the 17th and taking the second New Moon on the 31st; and a debilitated Saturn turning retrograde in your eleventh house on the 9th.

  • Budh practice on all four Wednesdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 August: the month’s central practice, because your ruler is doing more than any other planet and the calendar gives you the fewest possible Wednesdays to support it. Green moong, something written by hand and given away, and one day a week with fewer words rather than more. See Budh remedies and Wednesday fasting.
  • Audit the second house between the 2nd and the 12th: six exact conjunctions and a lunation in your house of income, with Ketu present throughout. Read every statement, close every small leak, and change nothing structural until after the 31st.
  • Guru worship on the Thursdays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 August: Jupiter rules your seventh and tenth houses, sits in your third all month, and is combust from the 16th. Turmeric, chana dal, and yellow given rather than worn. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
  • Shani observance on the Saturdays — 7, 14, 21 and 28 August: Saturn is debilitated in your eleventh house of gains and retrograde from the 9th. The eleventh is one of the two houses where that does least harm, so this is maintenance rather than repair. Sesame oil, black til, mustard oil to a peepal after sundown. See Shani remedies and Saturday fasting.
  • Ketu practice for a second-house transit: Ketu is in your house of income all month and three planets cross it. Food given rather than money is the classical form, because Ketu in the second is specifically about the mouth — what you eat and what you say. See our Ketu remedies and the Rahu–Ketu page.
  • Use the third house between the 17th and the 31st: four planets in your house of communication, including Jupiter and your own ruler. Publish, teach, present, or repair a relationship with a sibling. This is where the month is actually generous.
  • Keep 26 to 29 August clear, and hold the 31st: forty-nine hours forty-seven minutes of Moon on Mithuna Rashi, and then an exalted ruler and a New Moon on the last day of the month. Prepare in the window, begin on the 31st.

In Summary

For Mithuna Rashi, August 2027 belongs to your ruler. Mercury covers 59 degrees in thirty-one days, crosses five nakshatras, changes sign twice, and appears in four of the month’s eight exact conjunctions — with Ketu on the 8th, with Venus and then the Sun on the 11th, and with Jupiter on the 20th. It ends August at 1:57 am on the 31st in Virgo, exalted and in its own sign, in your fourth house.

The month splits cleanly in two. Until the 17th, your second house of income carries everything: three planets, Ketu, the New Moon of 3:35 pm on 2 August, and six exact conjunctions in nine days. After the 17th, your third house of communication holds four planets, takes the last two conjunctions, and receives the second New Moon at 11:11 pm on 31 August.

Around that: the Full Moon of 12:58 pm on 17 August in your eighth house, about thirteen and a half degrees from Rahu and six minutes before the Moon leaves Capricorn; a debilitated Saturn turning retrograde in your eleventh at 11:04 pm on 9 August; Mars in your fourth house until 9:42 am on 24 August; and only four Wednesdays for a Mercury-ruled sign. All of it is sign-level. Which of the nine Gemini padas holds your natal Moon, where Mercury sits in your own chart, and which dasha is running decide how much of it lands. For more, read July’s reading, what Mithuna Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on strengthening a weak Mercury.

Your ruler ends the month exalted

Whether four exact conjunctions and an exaltation reach you depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon and where Mercury sits in your own chart — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
