Gemini Rashifal December 2027 (Mithuna Rashi): Your Ruler Covers More Sky Than Any Other Planet, and Is Burnt for Every Day of It
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
Mercury rules Mithuna Rashi, and in December 2027 it does two things at once that ordinarily do not go together. It travels forty-nine degrees eight minutes of the zodiac — more than any other planet this month, more than the Sun’s thirty-one and a half, nearly twenty times Jupiter’s two and a half. And it does the whole of that inside the Sun’s glare.
The arithmetic is not close. Mercury begins the month about six degrees from the Sun, comes to the Sun’s exact degree at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December, and is still only about eleven degrees away on the 31st. The classical texts read asta — combustion — at twelve degrees for a direct Mercury. Your ruler is inside that orb on every one of December’s thirty-one days. There is no clear day.
That combination is the month in one sentence: a great deal happens, at speed, and you cannot see it clearly while it happens. This is not a stalled month — a retrograde Mercury would give you that, and there is none. It is a fast month conducted in poor light.
Where the Burning Happens
Position matters more than the condition. Mercury spends the first fortnight in Scorpio, your sixth house, and the exact conjunction with the Sun falls there: 25°23′ of Scorpio, in Jyeshtha pada 3, at 3:46 am on the 12th. Then it crosses into Sagittarius, your seventh house, at 2:03 am on Wednesday 15 December.
The sixth house is debt, illness, litigation, employees and the daily grind — the house of things that must be handled. A burnt ruler there for two weeks is a specific instruction rather than a vague warning: the things you handle in the first fortnight will be handled with incomplete information. Loans, disputes, medical paperwork and staffing decisions all live in that house, and all of them reward waiting until the 15th.
After the 15th your ruler is in your seventh house, still burnt, and the Sun follows it there at 4:33 pm on Thursday 16 December. So the second half of the month moves the same poor light onto partnership. The difference is that a sixth-house problem is yours to solve and a seventh-house one requires somebody else’s agreement — which, with Mercury combust, is exactly the agreement most likely to be misremembered. Write down what was said, on the day it was said.
December’s Shortest Chandra Window Is Yours
The Moon is on Mithuna from 2:21 am on Tuesday 14 December to 3:45 am on Thursday 16 December — forty-nine hours twenty-four minutes. That is the shortest of the twelve windows in December; the longest, Capricorn’s, runs sixty hours forty-three minutes. Eleven hours nineteen minutes separate them, which is the difference between the Moon’s speed near perigee and near apogee, and this month the fast part of the orbit sits on your sign.
It has one full day, Wednesday the 15th, and that day is unusually loaded. Mercury crosses into your seventh house at 2:03 am and Venus crosses into your eighth at 8:06 am, both while the Moon stands on your own sign, and Wednesday is Mercury’s own weekday. If you want a single day in December to begin something on, that is it — with the standing caveat that whatever you begin is begun under a combust ruler.
The Full Moon Stops Two Degrees Short of Your Sign
The Full Moon forms at 9:38 pm on Monday 13 December at 27°12′ of Taurus, your twelfth house. It is in Mrigashira pada 2, and Mrigashira is one of the three nakshatras Mithuna holds a share of: it runs from 23°20′ of Taurus to 6°40′ of Gemini, so its last two padas are in your sign. The lunation happens in a nakshatra you share, two degrees forty-eight minutes before your sign begins.
Twelfth-house lunations are the introspective ones — expenditure, sleep, things that are ending, and matters that stay private. Because it is in Mrigashira, whose lord is Mars, and because the Moon crosses onto your sign eight hours later, the sequence is neat: the thing surfaces just outside your sign, and then the Moon carries it in. Whatever the 13th brings up, the 14th and 15th are when you deal with it.
Your Eighth House Fills Up in Twelve Days
Capricorn is your eighth house, and it collects three bodies inside a fortnight. Rahu has held it all month, drifting backwards from 10°55′ to 9°17′ and reversing out of Shravana into Uttara Ashadha on Saturday 18 December. Venus arrives at 8:06 am on the 15th. Mars arrives exalted at 12:57 pm on Monday 27 December.
And around Thursday 23 December, Venus reaches Rahu’s own degree there, 9°44′ of Capricorn. That is published as a day and not a clock time on purpose: our table computes the node on the mean model, mean and true node can sit as much as one and three-quarter degrees apart, and Venus covers a little over a degree a day — so the other model moves the event by more than a day. A minute would be invented precision.
An eighth house this busy is the month’s real financial story. The eighth is joint money, inheritance, insurance, tax, loans and everything held in someone else’s name. Venus there sweetens the terms; Rahu there exaggerates the size; an exalted Mars there in the last five days supplies the force to act. Add a combust Mercury for the whole month and the conclusion is not subtle: December is for negotiating and January is for signing.
Jupiter Sits in Your Ruler’s Own Sign All Month
Jupiter holds Virgo, your fourth house, for all thirty-one days, and it hardly moves — 0°32′ to 3°03′, never leaving Uttara Phalguni pada 2. Virgo is Mercury’s own sign, so the benefic spends the month as a guest in your ruler’s house while your ruler itself is burnt elsewhere. That is a genuine consolation: the part of the chart Mercury owns is being looked after even while Mercury is not visible.
From the fourth house Jupiter’s aspects fall on your eighth, tenth and twelfth — joint money, career, and the house the Full Moon lands in. Jupiter in the fourth favours the home itself: property, mother, and the physical place you live. If there is a decision about a house to be made this month, that is the supported one, and the griha pravesh page for December 2027 has the dates.
Saturn Turns Direct in Your Tenth House
Saturn holds Pisces, your tenth house of work and standing, for the whole month, inside Revati pada 4 throughout — the last quarter of the last nakshatra of the zodiac. It drifts backwards from 27°16′ to 26°50′ and turns direct at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December.
That minute is publishable while a slow ingress would not be, and the difference is worth understanding. A station is the moment a planet’s apparent motion reverses, which follows from the geometry between the Earth and the planet and nothing else. A sign boundary crossing at twenty-six arcminutes a month depends on where the boundary is drawn, which depends on the ayanamsa. One is intrinsic; the other is a convention.
Saturn retrograde in the tenth is the transit of a career that has been going over old ground: the same review, the same unfinished project, the same title. From the 24th it moves forward, and that is a better week to raise a question about your role than any earlier one in December — though with Mercury combust, raise it in person rather than in writing.

Week by Week
Thirty-one days from a Wednesday to a Friday, which gives December five Wednesdays — the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Wednesday is your ruler’s weekday, and the 15th is the one that carries two sign changes and your Chandra window at once.
1–7 December
Your ruler is already inside the Sun’s glare and closing, in your sixth house of debt and obligation. Venus enters Purva Ashadha at 8:22 pm on Wednesday the 1st, the Sun enters Jyeshtha at 1:28 pm on Friday the 3rd, Mars enters Purva Ashadha at 11:16 pm on Sunday the 5th, Mercury enters Jyeshtha at 2:24 pm on Monday the 6th. Vivah Panchami falls on Friday 3 December. Handle nothing final about a loan or a dispute this week.
8–14 December
The pivot. Mokshada Ekadashi and Geeta Jayanti fall on Thursday 9 December; the Sun and Mercury are exact in your sixth house at 3:46 am on Sunday the 12th; the Full Moon forms in your twelfth at 9:38 pm on Monday the 13th; the Moon reaches your sign at 2:21 am on Tuesday the 14th. The deepest part of your ruler’s burning is the 12th, and it is the day to keep clear of decisions.
15–21 December
The best week of the month for you, relatively. Mercury crosses into your seventh house at 2:03 am and Venus into your eighth at 8:06 am on Wednesday the 15th, both with the Moon still on Mithuna; the Moon leaves at 3:45 am on Thursday the 16th and Dhanu Sankranti follows at 4:33 pm, bringing Kharmas; Rahu reverses nakshatra on Saturday the 18th. Your sixth house empties on the 16th, and the grind eases with it.
22–28 December
The eighth house takes over. Venus meets Rahu’s degree there on Thursday the 23rd, alongside three nakshatra crossings; Saturn turns direct in your tenth at 8:45 am on Friday the 24th; Mars arrives exalted in your eighth at 12:57 pm on Monday the 27th; the New Moon forms in your seventh at 1:42 am on Tuesday the 28th. Negotiate this week. Do not sign this week.
29–31 December
Three days with Saturn moving forward in your career house and an exalted Mars in your eighth. The Sun enters Purva Ashadha at 6:44 pm on Wednesday the 29th. Mercury ends the year still inside the Sun’s orb at about eleven degrees, so the clear air belongs to January rather than to the last week of December.
Career and Money for Mithuna Rashi
Career sits with Saturn in your tenth house, retrograde until 8:45 am on Friday 24 December and direct after it, with Jupiter’s seventh aspect from your fourth house falling on the same tenth all month. That is a slow but supported picture: nothing arrives quickly, and what arrives is not taken away again. The last week is the one to move in.
Money divides cleanly. Your second house of earned income holds Ketu in Pushya all month, which reads as indifference to income rather than shortage of it — the salary is there and you have stopped watching it. Your eighth house of joint and borrowed money is where everything happens, with Rahu all month, Venus from the 15th and an exalted Mars from the 27th.
The single practical rule for December is the one your ruler dictates. Mercury governs contracts, and it is combust for all thirty-one days. So: negotiate hard, in person, and put the signature in January. Our financial remedies, career remedies and Rahu–Ketu remedies pages cover the practice.
Home, Family and Partnership
Partnership takes the second half of the month. Your seventh house receives Mercury at 2:03 am on the 15th and the Sun at 4:33 pm on the 16th, and the New Moon forms there at 1:42 am on Tuesday 28 December at 11°36′ of Sagittarius, in Moola pada 4. A New Moon in the seventh is a genuine beginning for a relationship — but it happens with your ruler burnt in the same house, so the beginning will be clearer in January than it is on the day.
The wedding calendar closes mid-month. Dhanu Kharmas begins at Dhanu Sankranti, 4:33 pm on Thursday 16 December, and runs into the middle of January, which shuts sixteen of the month’s thirty-one days. Vivah Panchami falls on Friday 3 December, inside the open fortnight. The marriage muhurat page for December 2027 has the surviving dates; if a match has stalled, read our marriage delay page.
At home, Jupiter in your fourth house all month is the month’s steadiest feature: property, the mother, and the place itself all benefit, and Jupiter never leaves a single pada while doing it. Set against that, Ketu in your second house touches family speech and shared resources, and the Full Moon in your twelfth on the 13th tends to bring out what has been kept private. Say the difficult thing on the 14th or 15th, not on the 12th.
Health
Your sixth house of illness holds the Sun until the 16th and a combust Mercury until the 15th, with their exact conjunction there at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December. That is not a prediction of illness; the sixth house is the house of what you fight off, and the Sun in it is often strengthening. What it does predict is administrative trouble — a test result that does not arrive, a referral that goes to the wrong department, an authorisation that was never actually issued. Confirm everything twice.
Your Chandra window is short, 2:21 am on Tuesday 14 December to 3:45 am on Thursday 16 December, and it arrives directly after a twelfth-house Full Moon, so the 13th and 14th are the low-sleep days of the month. Mithuna’s standing weak points are the lungs, the arms and the nervous system, and a combust Mercury for thirty-one days argues for less input rather than more — fewer screens, fewer conversations at once.
Read our Mercury remedies, Wednesday fasting and Shani remedies pages. The first two are the relevant ones for a month whose entire story is your ruler’s condition.
Remedies for Mithuna Rashi in December 2027
Four conditions define the month: your ruler travelling 49°08′ while inside the Sun’s twelve-degree orb on all thirty-one days, exact with it at 3:46 am on 12 December in your sixth house; December’s shortest Chandra window on your sign from the 14th to the 16th; your eighth house collecting Rahu, Venus and an exalted Mars; and Saturn turning direct in your tenth at 8:45 am on the 24th.
- Budh practice on the five Wednesdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 December: green cloth, moong dal, Ganesha, and something written by hand. Your ruler is burnt all month and this is the direct remedy.
- Sign nothing in December: Mercury governs contracts and is combust for every one of the thirty-one days. Negotiate now, execute in January.
- Keep the 12th free of decisions: the Sun and your ruler are at the same degree in your sixth house in the small hours of it.
- Use the 15th: two sign changes fall inside your Chandra window on Mercury’s own weekday — the best single day of the month to begin something.
- Shani practice on the four Saturdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 December: iron, sesame, and service that cannot be repaid. Saturn is in your tenth and turns direct the day before the last of them.
- Take the 23rd at half strength: Venus on Rahu’s degree in your eighth house inflates the size of whatever joint-money offer arrives.
- Fix nothing to the marriage calendar after the 16th: Kharmas runs from Dhanu Sankranti to the middle of January.
In Summary
For Mithuna Rashi, December 2027 is defined by a single unusual fact about your ruler. Mercury travels 49°08′ this month, more sky than any other planet covers, and it spends every one of the thirty-one days inside the Sun’s twelve-degree asta orb — about six degrees away on the 1st, exact at 3:46 am on Sunday 12 December at 25°23′ of Scorpio in your sixth house, and still only about eleven degrees away when the year ends. Fast, and never once in clear air.
Around it: December’s shortest Chandra window on your sign, 2:21 am on Tuesday 14 December to 3:45 am on Thursday 16 December, with two sign changes inside it on Mercury’s own weekday; the Full Moon in your twelfth house at 9:38 pm on Monday 13 December, two degrees short of Mithuna in a nakshatra your sign shares; your eighth house collecting Rahu, Venus from the 15th and an exalted Mars from 12:57 pm on Monday 27 December, with Venus on the node’s degree around Thursday 23 December; Saturn turning direct in your tenth at 8:45 am on Friday 24 December; and Jupiter parked in Mercury’s own sign in your fourth house for the whole month.
All of this is computed for a whole sign, which is thirty degrees of sky and a great many different lives. Where Mercury sits in your own chart, which of the nine Mithuna padas holds your natal Moon, and which dasha is running decide how much of a burnt ruler you actually feel. A fast ruler, invisible for thirty-one days
Whether a combust Mercury costs you a contract or simply slows one down depends on where Mercury sits in your own chart, which pada holds your natal Moon, and which dasha is running.
