Leo Rashifal April 2027 (Simha Rashi): Your Own Ruler Meets Saturn in the Eighth House at 10:48 pm on 7 April
Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji
Saturn has been in your eighth house since it entered Pisces, and Ashtama Shani is the transit Simha Rashi has been living with. April 2027 contains its single hardest instant. At 10:48 pm on Wednesday 7 April, the Sun — the planet that rules your Moon sign — is exact with Saturn at 23°26′ of Pisces, inside that eighth house.
That is your own ruler standing on the planet that is already pressing on your eighth. And it is not alone: the New Moon forms in the same house at 5:21 am on Wednesday 7 April at 22°42′, under a degree from Saturn. So the seventeen hours from the dawn of the 7th to the late evening of the same day are the lowest point of the whole Ashtama Shani period for Leo — the darkest lunation of the month, in the house of upheaval, with your ruler pinned to Saturn.
Then April gives you two things back. Mars leaves its debilitation in your twelfth house and arrives on Simha Rashi itself at 11:28 am on Monday 26 April, entering Magha — the nakshatra of thrones. And Ashtama Shani has an end date: Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries on 3 June 2027, moving into your ninth house. Two months from the low point to the exit.
The Sun Meets Saturn in Your Eighth House
Take the two planets separately first. Saturn in the eighth from the Moon sign is Ashtama Shani, and what it actually produces is not disaster but attrition — chronic low-grade anxiety, expenses that arrive from directions you did not plan for, an unusual amount of dealing with inheritance, insurance, taxes, loans and other people’s money, and a sense that the ground under a settled arrangement is not as solid as it looked. The eighth is also the house of the hidden, so its difficulties are frequently ones you cannot discuss.
The Sun in the eighth for the first fortnight adds the ego to that. For Simha Rashi the Sun is not any planet — it is the lord of your sign, so wherever it goes, your vitality and your standing go with it. The Sun in the eighth is a fortnight of feeling diminished, unwell or unseen, and the exact contact with Saturn at 10:48 pm on Wednesday 7 April is the point at which that is most concentrated.
The practical instruction is narrow and worth following. Do not schedule anything that depends on your authority, your health or your visibility between the 5th and the 9th of April. Do not sign a loan document, settle an insurance claim, or make an irreversible decision about money that is not yours in that window. Everything in it will look worse than it is, because the planet that governs how you see yourself is standing on the planet that governs limitation.
14 April Moves the Sun Out
At 3:23 pm on Wednesday 14 April the Sun enters Aries, where it is exalted, and for Simha Rashi that is the ninth house — dharma, the father, the teacher, long journeys, and the general good fortune a chart draws on. An exalted Sun in the ninth is one of the better placements the Sun takes for you: recognition from someone senior, a pilgrimage or a journey that means something, and the return of confidence. The same instant is Mesha Sankranti, which ends Meena Kharmas.
So the month splits cleanly at that afternoon. Before it, your ruler is in the eighth with Saturn and the calendar is closed. After it, your ruler is exalted in the ninth and every remaining day is open. Mercury follows into the ninth at 8:10 am on Thursday 22 April, and the two are exact there at 2:51 am on Thursday 29 April at 14°08′ of Aries — a clear window for a conversation with a father, a teacher or an examiner.
One caveat, because the eighth house does not empty. Saturn stays there until 3 June, Mercury sits there debilitated from the 5th to the 22nd and is exact with Saturn at 6:33 pm on Monday 19 April at 24°55′, and Venus enters the eighth exalted at 3:16 pm on Thursday 15 April. Exalted Venus in the eighth is the best news that house gets all month: it softens the money side of it, and it is the reason a loan, a settlement or a shared financial matter is better handled in the last fortnight than the first.
Mars Arrives on Simha Rashi in Magha
Mars has been debilitated in Cancer — your twelfth house — since 10 March, and retrograde for most of it. It turns direct at 7:42 pm on Thursday 1 April at 26°41′ and crosses into Leo at 11:28 am on Monday 26 April, ending the month at 1°12′ of your own sign, in Magha.
Magha is ruled by Ketu and its symbol is the throne room — ancestry, position, inherited authority. Mars entering it on your own Moon sign is the sharpest infusion of energy Simha Rashi gets in 2027 so far. In the twelfth it was drain, expense and disturbed sleep; on the first house it is drive, physical heat and the willingness to act. For a sign ruled by the Sun that is congenial: you are meant to lead, and from the 26th you have the fuel to.
Use the five days deliberately. Mars on the Moon sign also raises the temperature of every disagreement, so the same transit that lets you push a project forward will let you burn a relationship down. Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays is the standard correction, and 27 April is the Tuesday that falls after Mars arrives.
The Twelfth House Empties
Cancer is your twelfth house — expenditure, hospitals, foreign places, sleep, and letting go. It has been crowded: exalted Jupiter, Ketu, and a debilitated retrograde Mars all at once. Two developments in April.
Jupiter turns direct there at 7:58 am on Tuesday 13 April at 22°45′, and it barely moves all month — 23°00′ to 23°14′, fourteen arc-minutes net. Exalted Jupiter in the twelfth is the classic placement for spiritual practice, charity that actually helps, and money spent on something worth spending it on; it is also a placement that quietly funds other people. It is exact with Ketu there on Tuesday 20 April at 22°50′ — ten hours after Mercury meets Saturn in your eighth on the Monday evening. That stretch, evening into morning, is the month’s second concentration point.
And Mars departs on the 26th, which reduces the twelfth-house drain. The expenses do not stop — Jupiter and Ketu remain — but they stop being urgent.

Week by Week
Thirty days, Thursday to Friday. The Sun rules Simha Rashi, so Sunday is your day of the week: 4, 11, 18 and 25 April.
1–7 April
Mars turns direct in your twelfth at 7:42 pm on Thursday the 1st. Mercury enters your eighth house debilitated at 4:13 pm on Monday the 5th, and the New Moon forms there at 5:21 am on Wednesday the 7th, under a degree from Saturn. Kharmas is running throughout. This is the week to be careful about money that is not yours and about your own health, and to postpone anything requiring you to be at full strength.
8–14 April
The month’s low point is in the first hour: the Sun exact with Saturn in your eighth at 10:48 pm on Wednesday the 7th. It lifts steadily from there. Rahu changes nakshatra in your sixth on the evening of Saturday the 10th, Jupiter turns direct in your twelfth at 7:58 am on Tuesday the 13th, and on Wednesday the 14th at 3:23 pm your ruler leaves the eighth for its exaltation in the ninth and Kharmas ends. Everything about the month improves that afternoon.
15–21 April
Exalted Venus enters your eighth at 3:16 pm on Thursday the 15th, which is when shared money starts behaving. Your Chandra days run from 8:18 am on Friday the 16th to 11:51 am on Sunday the 18th — and the 18th is a Sunday, your own weekday, which makes that morning the best hour of the month for anything to do with your standing. Monday the 19th holds two exact contacts a quarter of an hour apart; keep the evening free. The Full Moon fills your third house at 3:57 am on Wednesday the 21st: siblings, short journeys, and things finally said.
22–30 April
Mercury joins the exalted Sun in your ninth at 8:10 am on Thursday the 22nd. Mars arrives on your own sign in Magha at 11:28 am on Monday the 26th, and the last five days of April are the most energetic of the month. The Sun and Mercury are exact in the ninth at 2:51 am on Thursday the 29th. Every day from the 15th is open, so the closing week is where a Leo should be starting things rather than reviewing them.
Career and Money for Simha Rashi
Your tenth house is Taurus, and it is empty all month — nothing enters it, nothing leaves it. So April is not a month in which career changes by transit; it changes by what you do with the ninth house. An exalted Sun there from the 14th and Mercury from the 22nd is support from above rather than opportunity from outside: a mentor’s endorsement, a senior’s approval, an examination cleared, a permission granted.
The eleventh house of gains, Gemini, is also empty. Money in April is therefore an eighth-house story, not an eleventh-house one — loans, settlements, joint accounts, insurance, inheritance, tax. Saturn there makes all of it slow and rule-bound; debilitated Mercury there from the 5th to the 22nd makes the paperwork error-prone, and its exact contact with Saturn at 6:33 pm on Monday 19 April is the point at which a technicality is most likely to surface. Exalted Venus from the 15th is what makes the second half workable.
The instruction is straightforward: read the fine print between the 5th and the 22nd, sign after the 22nd, and keep the 19th clear. Our financial remedies page lists the standing observances, and the Shani dosh page covers the eighth-house transit at length.
Family and Relationships
The Full Moon forms in your third house at 3:57 am on Wednesday 21 April at 6°24′ of Libra, in the fourth pada of Chitra, and the Moon crosses Libra from 4:31 pm on the 20th to 11:16 pm on the 22nd. The third house is siblings, neighbours, short journeys and the everyday exchange of words. A Full Moon there brings a conversation that has been circling for weeks to a head — usually with a brother, sister or cousin, and usually about something practical rather than emotional.
Partnership sits in Aquarius, your seventh house, which holds Mercury and Venus until the first week and then empties on 15 April and stays empty for the rest of the month. An empty seventh is neither good nor bad; it means the relationship is not the story in April, and that whatever tension exists is coming from your side of the chart rather than the other person’s. Given that your ruler spends the first fortnight in the eighth, that is worth remembering before attributing a mood to a partner.
The sixth house, Capricorn, holds Rahu, which backs out of Dhanishta into Shravana at 5:53 pm on Saturday 10 April. Rahu in the sixth is the one placement Rahu is genuinely good in: it beats opponents, absorbs debt and outlasts illness. Shravana is the listening star, so from the 10th the way you win an argument at work is by hearing it out rather than by escalating.
Health
Ashtama Shani plus the Sun in the eighth is the combination that makes Leos of this period feel older than they are. The first fortnight is where that concentrates, and the exact contact at 10:48 pm on Wednesday 7 April is its floor. Expect fatigue that sleep does not fix, and a susceptibility to whatever is going around; both are transit-shaped and both lift after the 14th, when your ruler reaches its exaltation.
Mars arriving on your own sign at 11:28 am on Monday 26 April flips the polarity. That is heat rather than depletion — a good transit for physical training and a bad one for tempers, blood pressure and small accidents caused by hurrying. Your Chandra days, from 8:18 am on Friday 16 April to 11:51 am on Sunday 18 April, are the best window for beginning a regimen, and they sit three days after Jupiter turns direct.
Remedies for Simha Rashi in April 2027
Four conditions: Ashtama Shani in its final two months, your ruling Sun exact with Saturn in that eighth house at 10:48 pm on the 7th, Mars leaving debilitation to arrive on your own sign on the 26th, and an exalted Jupiter almost stationary in your twelfth.
- Surya Arghya on the four Sundays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 April: the month’s central remedy, because the Sun rules Simha Rashi and spends the first fortnight in your eighth with Saturn. Water offered to the rising Sun with a copper vessel, red flowers in it, facing east. The 11th matters most — three days after the exact contact.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 3, 10, 17 and 24 April: Ashtama Shani ends on 3 June 2027, and these are among the last Saturdays of it. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown, and food given to someone who works with their hands. See the Sade Sati and Shani transit page and Saturday fasting.
- Keep 5–9 April free of eighth-house business: no loan signed, no insurance claim settled, no decision about inherited or joint money. The New Moon on the 7th and the Sun–Saturn contact seventeen hours later both fall in that house.
- Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 6, 13, 20 and 27 April: Mars turns direct on the 1st and reaches your own sign on the 26th. The 27th is the Tuesday that falls after it arrives, and the one to use. See Mangal remedies and Tuesday fasting.
- Guru worship on the five Thursdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 April: exalted Jupiter in your twelfth turns direct on the 13th and is exact with Ketu on the 20th. Twelfth-house Jupiter responds to charity better than to ritual: give to a teacher, a student or a temple kitchen rather than buying anything. See weak-Jupiter remedies.
- Sunday 18 April, morning: the Moon is on Simha Rashi and it is your own weekday. The best hours of the month for anything that turns on your standing or your authority.
- Sign after the 22nd: debilitated Mercury sits in your eighth from the 5th to the 22nd and is exact with Saturn on the 19th. Documents about shared money go wrong on technicalities in that window.
- Ketu observance around 20 April: Jupiter is exact with Ketu in your twelfth early on the Tuesday — the Guru-Chandal contact, in the house of loss. Sesame, a grey cloth given away, a dog fed. See our Rahu-Ketu page.
In Summary
For Simha Rashi, April 2027 has one instant that defines it. At 10:48 pm on Wednesday 7 April the Sun, which rules your sign, is exact with Saturn at 23°26′ of Pisces in your eighth house, one day after the New Moon formed in the same house under a degree from Saturn. That is the floor of Ashtama Shani for you, and the five days from the 5th to the 9th are the ones to keep free of loans, settlements, claims and anything that requires you to be at full strength.
The recovery is dated. At 3:23 pm on Wednesday 14 April the Sun enters Aries exalted, into your ninth house, and the same instant ends Meena Kharmas — so your ruler reaches its greatest strength on the afternoon the calendar opens, and every day from 15 to 30 April is open. Mercury joins it in the ninth on the 22nd and the two are exact there at 2:51 am on Thursday the 29th.
Then Mars. It turns direct in your twelfth at 7:42 pm on Thursday the 1st, leaves its debilitation, and arrives on Simha Rashi at 11:28 am on Monday 26 April, entering Magha — the nakshatra of the throne. The last five days of the month are the most energetic Leo has had this year, and the same transit that supplies the drive supplies the temper, which is what the Tuesday observances are for.
The larger point is the end date. Saturn leaves your eighth house for your ninth on Thursday 3 June 2027, and Ashtama Shani ends there. April holds its hardest hour and its clearest turn, eight weeks before the transit itself lets go. All of this is sign-level; which of the nine Leo padas holds your natal Moon, where your Sun sits, and which dasha is running decide how much of it you feel. For more, read March’s reading, what Simha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our Shani dosh page.
Ashtama Shani has eight weeks left — how it exits depends on your chart
Whether the 7 April contact lands on your natal Sun, your eighth lord or neither is the difference between a difficult week and a difficult year.
