Leo Rashifal September 2027 (Simha Rashi): Three Planets on Your Sign, and by the Seventeenth Only Jupiter Is Left
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
September 2027 opens with three planets standing on Simha Rashi: the Sun, which rules your sign and is in its own sign there; Venus; and Jupiter. Then the sign empties. Venus leaves at 2:36 pm on Thursday 9 September, the Sun at 2:04 pm on Friday 17 September, and from the 17th onwards Jupiter holds your sign alone.
The Sun’s stay is worth stating exactly: sixteen days and fourteen hours of your ruler in its own sign, sitting on your own rashi. That is the strongest first half of a month Simha will get this year, and it ends at a named minute — Kanya Sankranti, 2:04 pm on the 17th.
Inside that window there is a detail that belongs to no other sign. The Full Moon forms at 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September, and a Full Moon is the Sun and Moon standing opposite each other. The Sun is still on Simha that morning. So the Full Moon of September 2027 is your own ruler, on your own sign, facing the Moon across your seventh house. Read that lunation as a mirror rather than an event.
Jupiter Becomes Visible on Your Own Sign
Jupiter has been behind the Sun since 16 August. Guru asta ends on 15 September, and it ends with Jupiter standing on Simha Rashi — running 13°33′ to 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni across the month, never leaving your sign.
A benefic on the janma rashi is one of the better transits in the classical scheme, and one emerging from a month of invisibility there is better still: what was blocked in August becomes workable in the second half of September. Jupiter on the rashi supports standing, reputation, teachers, blessings and the plain confidence to ask. Simha does not usually need help with confidence — but August took some, and this returns it.
Note that Jupiter is the only planet left on your sign after the 17th, and the only one there for the final fortnight. So the month has a clean shape for you: crowded and solar until the 17th, then quiet and benefic to the end. See our Guru remedies and Thursday fasting pages.
The Moon Visits Your Sign Twice
Because of where the lunar month falls, the Moon touches Simha twice in September. It is already there when the month opens and leaves at 1:12 am on Thursday 2 September. Then it returns at 10:33 am on Monday 27 September and stays until 11:33 am on Wednesday 29 September — forty-nine hours exactly.
The second visit is the useful one, and it is the only Chandra window in the year in which the Moon crosses a visible Jupiter standing on your own sign. That crossing falls on the 28th. We publish the day rather than a minute for it, because the sidereal tables we compute from hold the Moon’s sign ingresses and the exact aspects, and a Moon-over-Jupiter passage inside a sign is not one of them.
The Sun enters Hasta at 7:29 pm on the 27th, eight hours fifty-six minutes into that window. If there is one two-day stretch in September for something personal — a decision about yourself rather than about work — it is the 27th to the 29th.
Saturn Debilitated in Your Ninth
Saturn spends all thirty days in Aries, debilitated, retrograde on every one of them, drifting from 3°13′ back to 1°30′ of Ashwini. For Simha Rashi that is your ninth house — dharma, father, teachers, long journeys, and the general sense that the universe is on your side.
A weakened Saturn there does not remove fortune; it slows and questions it. The practical signatures are a plan involving travel that keeps being rescheduled, a permission or clearance from a distance that does not arrive, and an older authority figure — father, teacher, mentor — who is either unavailable or unusually difficult. Retrograde means the same question returns rather than resolving.
The counterweight is Jupiter, the natural lord of the ninth house, sitting visible on your own sign from the 15th. So the ninth house is weak by transit and strong by its natural ruler’s condition and placement, and the second half of the month is where the second of those wins. See our Shani remedies and Shani dosh pages.
Your Second House Takes Everything the First Gives Up
Virgo is your second house of wealth, speech, food and family, and it receives every planet that leaves your sign. Mercury is already there and exalted until 6:15 pm on Tuesday 21 September; Venus arrives debilitated at 2:36 pm on the 9th; the Sun arrives at 2:04 pm on the 17th; and the New Moon forms there at 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September at 12°30′ of Hasta pada 1.
That is a materially busy house for the second half of the month, with one clear caution: Venus in Virgo is debilitated, and Venus in the second house of a Leo chart governs what you buy for the sake of how it looks. Shukra asta ends on 17 September so Venus becomes visible — visible and still weak, which is the worst combination for expensive taste.
The exalted Mercury is the corrective. Three weeks of Mercury at maximum strength in your money-and-speech house is the best stretch of the year for accounts, contracts, and saying the difficult thing precisely. Do the paperwork before the 21st. Mercury then moves to your third house to join Mars, which has held Libra alone all month — an upachaya house, where a malefic is useful.
The Month’s Fixed Points
- Wednesday 1 September — three planets on Simha Rashi: the Sun in its own sign, Venus, and a combust Jupiter. The Moon is on your sign too, and leaves at 1:12 am on Thursday the 2nd. Saturn is debilitated and retrograde in your ninth house, and retrograde every day this month.
- Friday 3 September, 4:44 pm — Mars enters Swati in your third house. Hartalika Teej falls on Friday 3 September.
- Saturday 4 September — Ganesh Chaturthi. That day’s panchang.
- Monday 6 September, 12:12 pm — Mercury enters Hasta in your second house, still exalted; Venus enters Uttara Phalguni at 10:07 pm.
- Thursday 9 September, 2:36 pm — Venus leaves your sign for your second house and is debilitated there for the rest of the month. Panchang for the day.
- Tuesday 14 September, 3:56 am — the Sun enters Uttara Phalguni, still on your sign. Anant Chaturdashi falls on Tuesday 14 September.
- Wednesday 15 September — Guru asta ends: Jupiter becomes visible standing on Simha Rashi. Pitru Paksha begins on Wednesday 15 September.
- Thursday 16 September, 4:33 am — the Full Moon forms in your seventh house at 28°36′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada pada 3, with the Sun still on your sign; the Moon leaves that sign at 7:13 am. Panchang for the day.
- Friday 17 September, 2:04 pm — Kanya Sankranti: the Sun leaves your sign after sixteen days and fourteen hours in its own sign, and enters your second house. Shukra asta ends the same day. Venus enters Hasta at 3:57 pm.
- Tuesday 21 September, 6:15 pm — Mercury leaves your second house for your third and loses its exaltation.
- Thursday 23 September, 2:51 pm — Mars enters Vishakha in your third house.
- Monday 27 September, 10:33 am — the Moon returns to Simha Rashi for forty-nine hours exactly; the Sun enters Hasta at 7:29 pm, eight hours fifty-six minutes in.
- Tuesday 28 September — the Moon crosses a visible Jupiter on your own sign. Venus enters Chitra at 9:34 am and Mercury enters Swati at 5:22 pm. Panchang for the day.
- Thursday 30 September, 8:06 am — the New Moon forms in your second house at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1. Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on Thursday 30 September. Sharad Navratri begins on Thursday 30 September. Panchang for the day.
Week by Week
Thirty days running Wednesday to Thursday. Five Wednesdays and five Thursdays; four each of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the Sun’s day and your sign’s day: the 5th and 12th fall while your ruler is still on your sign in its own sign; the 19th and 26th fall after it has left.
1–7 September
The most crowded week. Three planets on your sign, the Moon there as the month opens and leaving at 1:12 am on Thursday the 2nd. Mars enters Swati in your third at 4:44 pm on Friday the 3rd; Mercury enters Hasta in your second at 12:12 pm on Monday the 6th. Hartalika Teej falls on Friday 3 September. Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Saturday 4 September. Use the Sun’s strength: this is the week to be seen and to ask.
8–14 September
Venus crosses off your sign into your second house at 2:36 pm on Thursday the 9th, debilitated from that moment to the end of the month. The Sun enters Uttara Phalguni at 3:56 am on Tuesday the 14th. Anant Chaturdashi falls on Tuesday 14 September. Your ruler is still at home, so momentum holds; but stop buying things, because a debilitated Venus in the second house overpays.
15–21 September
The decisive week of the month for Simha. Jupiter becomes visible on your own sign on Wednesday the 15th; the Full Moon forms in your seventh house at 4:33 am on Thursday the 16th, opposite your ruler on your sign; Kanya Sankranti takes the Sun off your sign at 2:04 pm on Friday the 17th, the day Venus also becomes visible; Mercury’s exaltation ends at 6:15 pm on Tuesday the 21st. Pitru Paksha begins on Wednesday 15 September. Everything you want the Sun’s backing for should happen before Friday afternoon.
22–28 September
Quieter, and yours. Mars enters Vishakha in your third at 2:51 pm on Thursday the 23rd; the Moon returns to your sign at 10:33 am on Monday the 27th, with the Sun entering Hasta at 7:29 pm the same day; the Moon passes over a visible Jupiter on Tuesday the 28th, when Venus enters Chitra at 9:34 am and Mercury enters Swati at 5:22 pm. The 27th and 28th are the best two days of the month for anything personal.
29–30 September
The Moon leaves your sign at 11:33 am on Wednesday the 29th, and the New Moon forms in your second house at 8:06 am on Thursday the 30th at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1 — the same instant that closes Pitru Paksha and opens Sharad Navratri. Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on Thursday 30 September. A second-house lunation is a good place to begin something financial in October.
Career and Money for Simha Rashi
Career runs on the Sun and on timing. Your tenth house is Taurus, empty all month, so nothing arrives from that house on its own — but your ruler stands in its own sign on your rashi until 2:04 pm on 17 September, which is the classical condition for being taken seriously. Put the interview, the pitch, the request for authority in the first sixteen days. After the 17th your ruler is in a neutral house and the tone changes from presence to paperwork. See our career remedies page.
Money has an unusually clear structure this month. Your second house holds an exalted Mercury for the first three weeks — excellent for accounts, negotiation and contracts — then a debilitated Venus and the Sun, and finally a New Moon on the 30th. Do the financial thinking before the 21st and start the new financial thing on the 30th. Between those, avoid discretionary spending: a visible but debilitated Venus in the second house from the 17th is precisely the transit that buys the wrong expensive object.
Mars in your third house for all thirty days, joined by Mercury after the 21st, is the month’s working engine — the third is an upachaya house and rewards effort, initiative and short journeys. If income depends on your own push rather than on someone’s approval, September is better than it looks. See our financial remedies page.
Home, Family and Partnership
Partnership gets the month’s most distinctive moment. The Full Moon of 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September falls in your seventh house at 28°36′ of Aquarius, and because the Sun is still on your sign that morning, the lunation is literally your ruler and the Moon facing each other across the marriage axis. A seventh-house Full Moon shows you the actual state of a partnership rather than changing it. Expect clarity, not crisis.
Saturn rules that seventh house for Simha, and it is debilitated and retrograde all month in your ninth. So what the Full Moon reveals will not be settled quickly — commitments and formal arrangements move slowly in September. The wedding calendar is shut anyway: Chaturmas runs through the month and the season does not reopen until Devuthani Ekadashi in November. See the marriage muhurat page for September 2027 and our marriage delay page.
Home is quiet — Scorpio is your fourth house and empty all month — but family and food are not, because your second house fills up from the 9th and takes a New Moon on the 30th. Jupiter visible on your sign from the 15th is also good for an elder’s blessing and for family standing. If a property matter is live, the griha pravesh page for September 2027 and the business and property page set out the formal dates.
Health
The Sun in its own sign on your rashi for the first sixteen days is genuinely good for vitality, and Jupiter visible there from the 15th supports recovery. Against that, Rahu occupies your sixth house of illness all month and Ketu your twelfth — an axis that tends to produce diagnoses that shift and sleep that does not restore, rather than anything acute.
Simha’s classical weak points are the heart, the spine and the eyes, and the Sun’s own-sign transit is the right time to have any of the three checked properly — before the 17th, while your ruler is strong. Your best Chandra window is the second one, 10:33 am on 27 September to 11:33 am on 29 September, forty-nine hours exactly; brahma muhurta on the 28th and 29th are its two best mornings, and the 28th is the day the Moon crosses Jupiter on your sign.
Remedies for Simha Rashi in September 2027
Four conditions define the month: your ruler in its own sign on your rashi until 2:04 pm on 17 September; Jupiter becoming visible on that same rashi on the 15th and holding it alone thereafter; Saturn debilitated and retrograde in your ninth house for all thirty days; and a Full Moon in your seventh house on the 16th formed by your own ruler — in a month with no exact conjunctions at all.
- Front-load the month: everything that needs authority, visibility or a decision from above belongs before 2:04 pm on 17 September, while the Sun is in its own sign on your sign. This is the most actionable line on this page.
- Surya practice on the four Sundays — 5, 12, 19 and 26 September: the first two while your ruler is on your sign, the last two after it leaves. Water at sunrise facing east, wheat, jaggery, red flowers. See Surya remedies and Sunday fasting.
- Guru practice on the five Thursdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 September: Jupiter is on your own sign all month, combust on the first two Thursdays and visible on the last three. Chana dal, turmeric, yellow cloth, and something taught to someone younger. See Guru remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Do the accounts before 21 September: an exalted Mercury in your second house of wealth and speech is the best instrument the month gives you, and it ends at 6:15 pm that day.
- Postpone travel and clearances rather than forcing them: a debilitated retrograde Saturn in the ninth house for thirty days is the classical signature for the journey that keeps being rescheduled. Rebook once, calmly, for October.
- Shani observance on the four Saturdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 September: Saturn is at its weakest and it rules your seventh house as well as sitting in your ninth. Sesame oil, black til, mustard oil to a peepal after sundown, service to someone older. See Shani remedies and Saturday fasting.
- Keep the 27th to the 29th for yourself: the Moon’s second visit to your sign, forty-nine hours exactly, crossing a visible Jupiter on the 28th. It is the best personal window of the month and it comes late.
In Summary
For Simha Rashi, September 2027 divides at a minute. Three planets stand on your sign when the month opens — the Sun in its own sign, Venus, and a combust Jupiter. Venus leaves at 2:36 pm on Thursday 9 September. The Sun leaves at 2:04 pm on Friday 17 September, after sixteen days and fourteen hours in its own sign on your rashi. After that, Jupiter holds your sign alone for the rest of the month — and it is visible, Guru asta having ended on 15 September.
The month’s single most unusual feature belongs to you alone: because the Sun is still on Simha at 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September, that Full Moon at 28°36′ of Aquarius is your own ruler on your own sign, facing the Moon across your seventh house. Nothing about it is dramatic. It simply shows you where a partnership actually stands.
The difficulty is a debilitated retrograde Saturn in your ninth house for all thirty days — travel, clearances and older authority all slow. The compensations are an exalted Mercury in your second house until 6:15 pm on 21 September, Mars working through your third all month, and the Moon’s return to your sign for forty-nine hours from 10:33 am on 27 September, crossing Jupiter on the 28th. The sky holds no exact conjunctions at all this month, after eight in August. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Simha padas holds your natal Moon, and where the Sun and Jupiter sit in your own chart, decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read August’s reading, what Simha Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on the Sun in Vedic astrology.
Sixteen days of your ruler at home, then a sign held by Jupiter alone
Whether an own-sign Sun on the rashi produces recognition or only exposure depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon and where the Sun sits in your own chart — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
