Sagittarius Rashifal April 2027 (Dhanu Rashi): Your Exalted Ruler Turns Direct in the Eighth House at 7:58 am on 13 April
Published 2026-08-21 | Live Pandit Ji
Jupiter rules Dhanu Rashi, and in April 2027 it is exalted in Cancer, which is your eighth house. At 7:58 am on Tuesday 13 April it turns direct at 22°45′. That is the single event this reading is built on: a strong ruler, in a difficult house, that stops moving backwards.
A retrograde ruler is why so much of the last stretch has felt provisional. Decisions were taken and then reopened; a matter that should have concluded went back for another look; permissions were given and then revisited. That is Jupiter in reverse, in the house of things that are hidden and shared. The station on the 13th releases it, and the release is quiet rather than dramatic — Jupiter moves from 23°00′ to 23°14′ across the whole month, so it does not run anywhere once it turns. It simply stops going back.
The calendar helps. Jupiter is your weekday planet, and April 2027 gives Dhanu Rashi five Thursdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 April. Thursday the 15th is the first one after the station, and it is also the first fully open day of the month: Meena Kharmas ends on the 14th, and every day from the 15th to the 30th is open. Of all the Thursdays in the year, that is the one to use.
An Exalted Ruler in the Eighth House
The eighth house is inheritance, insurance, tax, loans, joint finances, research, longevity, and everything that is not discussed openly. Jupiter is the most benefic planet and Cancer is where it reaches its greatest strength — so what Dhanu Rashi has is the best planet in the sky, at maximum power, in the house where the sky keeps its secrets.
In practice that is favourable in a specific and unglamorous way. Exalted Jupiter in the eighth protects: it is good for a claim being paid, an inheritance settling without a family fight, a loan approved, a medical matter turning out to be less than feared, and research that finally yields. It is not a transit that makes life visibly better — the eighth house does not do visible — but it is one that quietly removes the worst outcomes.
Two things complicate it. Ketu shares that house, and Jupiter is exact with Ketu on Tuesday 20 April at 22°50′ — the Guru-Chandal contact, which makes protection feel like indifference: help arrives from a direction you did not want it from, and advice you should take is advice you cannot bring yourself to follow. And Mars has been debilitated in the same house since 10 March; it turns direct at 7:42 pm on Thursday 1 April and leaves at 11:28 am on Monday 26 April. Debilitated Mars in the eighth is the sense of a threat you cannot locate, and it departs on the 26th.
Kantaka Shani’s Fourth House Takes Everything Hard
Saturn in the fourth from the Moon sign is Kantaka Shani — the thorn — and it is the transit Dhanu Rashi has been living with. April concentrates an unusual amount into that house. Saturn holds it all month, direct, crossing from the second pada of Revati into the third. The Sun is there until the 14th. Mercury arrives debilitated at 4:13 pm on Monday 5 April. The New Moon forms there at 5:21 am on Wednesday 7 April at 22°42′, under a degree from Saturn.
And both of April’s Pisces conjunctions land in it. The Sun is exact with Saturn at 10:48 pm on Wednesday 7 April at 23°26′, and Mercury is exact with Saturn at 6:33 pm on Monday 19 April at 24°55′. The fourth house is home, mother, land, vehicles and peace of mind, so those two instants are where the thorn presses hardest: a domestic matter, a property document, or the mother’s situation coming to a head.
The relief in the same house is Venus, which reaches its exaltation there at 3:16 pm on Thursday 15 April and holds it to month end, finishing at 18°37′ in Revati pada 1. Exalted Venus in the fourth house is comfort at home — the transit under which a house becomes pleasant, a vehicle is bought well, and a domestic argument is settled generously. The second fortnight is when Kantaka Shani is most bearable it has been in months.
And it ends. Saturn leaves Pisces for Aries on Thursday 3 June 2027, moving into your fifth house — which means Kantaka Shani ends for Dhanu Rashi. Two months from April’s hardest week to the exit.
The Fifth House Opens on 14 April
At 3:23 pm on Wednesday 14 April the Sun enters Aries — your fifth house — where it is exalted. The same instant is Mesha Sankranti and the end of Meena Kharmas. Mercury follows into that house, out of its debilitation, at 8:10 am on Thursday 22 April, and the two are exact there at 2:51 am on Thursday 29 April at 14°08′.
An exalted Sun in the fifth is a good transit for a child’s achievement, for creative work being recognised, for study going well, and for speculative confidence — which is worth naming as a risk as well as a benefit. Mercury joining it makes the fifth house articulate: presentations, examinations, writing, and anything where a child’s case has to be argued.
This is also the house Saturn is moving to on 3 June, so the second half of April is a preview of an address that will matter for the next two and a half years. What the exalted Sun lights up in your fifth house from the 14th is roughly what Saturn will ask you to take seriously from June.

Week by Week
Thirty days, Thursday to Friday. Jupiter rules Dhanu Rashi, so Thursday is your day of the week, and April opens on one and closes on a Friday — giving you five: 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 April.
1–7 April
Thursday the 1st is a Thursday with your ruler still retrograde, and Mars turns direct in the same house at 7:42 pm that evening. Mercury enters your fourth house debilitated at 4:13 pm on Monday the 5th, and the New Moon forms there at 5:21 am on Wednesday the 7th. Kharmas is running. A week in which the home is the pressure point and nothing about it should be signed.
8–14 April
This week opens straight after Kantaka Shani’s hardest hour of the month — the last one of Wednesday the 7th, when the Sun was exact with Saturn in your fourth house. Rahu changes nakshatra in your second on the evening of Saturday the 10th. Then the week turns: your ruler turns direct at 7:58 am on Tuesday the 13th, and on Wednesday the 14th at 3:23 pm the exalted Sun enters your fifth house and Kharmas ends. Two good days after five difficult ones.
15–21 April
Thursday the 15th is the month’s best-aligned day: your weekday, your ruler newly direct, exalted Venus entering your fourth house at 3:16 pm, and the first fully open day of April. Monday the 19th is the one to leave alone — debilitated Mercury on Saturn in your fourth at 6:33 pm, with Guru-Chandal exact in your eighth early on Tuesday the 20th. The Full Moon fills your eleventh house at 3:57 am on Wednesday the 21st: friends, income and what a network is actually worth.
22–30 April
Mercury leaves its debilitation at 8:10 am on Thursday the 22nd and joins the exalted Sun in your fifth. Your Chandra days run from 8:57 am on Sunday the 25th to 9:11 pm on Tuesday the 27th, and they sit inside the open stretch. Mars leaves your eighth house at 11:28 am on Monday the 26th. The Sun and Mercury are exact in your fifth at 2:51 am on Thursday the 29th, which makes the 22nd to the 28th the window for an examination, a submission or a child’s admission.
Career and Money for Dhanu Rashi
Your tenth house is Virgo and it is empty all month — nothing enters, nothing leaves. April is not a month of career events for Dhanu Rashi; it is a month of eighth-house money, which is a different thing entirely. Loans, insurance, tax, provident funds, an inheritance, a partner’s income: that is where the action is, and exalted Jupiter turning direct there on the 13th is unusually favourable for all of it.
If a claim, a settlement or an approval has been stuck, the 13th is the date it becomes possible again, and the second fortnight — with sixteen consecutive open days from the 15th — is when to push it. The caution is Mercury: it is debilitated until 8:10 am on Thursday 22 April, so check the documents rather than trusting them, and keep the evening of the 19th clear of anything that has to be signed.
The second house of savings, Capricorn, holds Rahu all month, which backs into Shravana at 5:53 pm on Saturday 10 April. Rahu in the second is money that arrives and goes, and speech that gets ahead of itself. The Full Moon in your eleventh house on the 21st is the counterweight — it brings the value of a network into full view, and the eleventh is where income is realised rather than earned. See our financial remedies page.
Home, Family and Relationships
The fourth house is the month’s live theme and it belongs to the family. Saturn there is the long pressure; the New Moon of the 7th sets something in motion; the Sun–Saturn contact of the 7th and the Mercury–Saturn contact of the 19th are the two points at which a domestic or property matter comes to a decision. If you have been carrying a question about a house, a plot of land, a vehicle or an ageing parent, April is when it stops being a question.
The sequence to follow: gather in the first fortnight, decide in the second. Exalted Venus enters that house at 3:16 pm on Thursday 15 April, and from then to month end you have the most generous fourth-house transit of the year sitting on top of the hardest one. Our griha pravesh page for April 2027 and the vehicle muhurat page work through the open days.
Partnership sits in Gemini, your seventh house, which is empty all month and receives nothing. As with career, that means the relationship is not where April’s pressure originates — and with a Saturn-heavy fourth house, it is worth being careful not to route a domestic strain through a partner who did not cause it.
Health
The eighth house governs longevity and chronic conditions, and it has held a debilitated Mars since 10 March alongside Ketu. That combination is the source of the vague, hard-to-name unease of recent weeks — sleep that is not restful and a worry without a subject. Mars turns direct at 7:42 pm on Thursday 1 April and leaves the house at 11:28 am on Monday 26 April, and both dates improve it.
Exalted Jupiter in the same house is strongly protective, which is the reading’s most reassuring line and a true one: the best planet in the zodiac at full strength in the house of longevity is why this has been discomfort rather than illness. It leaves Cancer on 26 June 2027. Your Chandra days, from 8:57 am on Sunday 25 April to 9:11 pm on Tuesday 27 April, are the best window for beginning a treatment or a regimen.
Remedies for Dhanu Rashi in April 2027
Four conditions: your exalted ruler turning direct in the eighth house on the 13th, its exact contact with Ketu on the 20th, Kantaka Shani’s fourth house absorbing the New Moon and both Pisces conjunctions, and the whole of it ending on 3 June 2027.
- Guru worship on the five Thursdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 April: the month’s central remedy, because Jupiter rules Dhanu Rashi, is exalted, and turns direct on the 13th. Thursday the 15th is the one that carries the most: the first Thursday after the station and the first fully open day of April. Turmeric, chana dal, and yellow given to a teacher rather than kept. See weak-Jupiter remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Saturday observance for Shani — 3, 10, 17 and 24 April: Kantaka Shani ends on 3 June 2027, so these are among the last Saturdays of it. Sesame oil, black til, a peepal lamp after sundown, and something given to someone who works outdoors. See the Shani dosh page and Saturday fasting.
- Ketu observance around 20 April: Jupiter is exact with Ketu in your eighth house early on the Tuesday — Guru-Chandal on your own ruler. Sesame, a grey or multicoloured cloth given away, and a dog fed. See our Rahu-Ketu page and Ketu remedies.
- Nothing about the house signed before the 22nd: debilitated Mercury sits in your fourth house from the 5th and is exact with Saturn there on the 19th. Property papers, rent agreements and vehicle documents all go better after the 22nd.
- Friday worship for Shukra — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 April: five Fridays, and on the last three Venus is exalted in your fourth house. Direct it at the home: white flowers, rice, and something sweet shared with the household rather than bought for yourself. See Shukra remedies.
- Hanuman worship on the Tuesdays — 6, 13, 20 and 27 April: Mars is debilitated in your eighth house until 11:28 am on the 26th, having turned direct on the 1st. The 13th is both a Tuesday and the day your ruler stations, which makes it the most useful of the four. See Mangal remedies and Tuesday fasting.
- Reopen the stuck eighth-house matter after the 13th: a claim, a loan, an inheritance, an approval. Your exalted ruler turning direct is precisely the transit for it, and the sixteen open days from the 15th are when to push.
- Charity rather than purchase: an exalted Jupiter in the eighth responds better to what you give away than to what you acquire. A donation toward someone’s medical cost or education is the fitting form of it this month.
In Summary
For Dhanu Rashi, April 2027 turns on your own ruler. Jupiter, exalted in Cancer — your eighth house — turns direct at 7:58 am on Tuesday 13 April at 22°45′, and what has been provisional stops being reopened. It does not then race anywhere: it moves from 23°00′ to 23°14′ across the whole month, all inside Ashlesha pada 2. The change is one of direction, not of speed.
The pressure is in the fourth house, and Kantaka Shani is why. Saturn holds it all month, the New Moon forms there at 5:21 am on Wednesday the 7th under a degree from Saturn, and both of April’s Pisces conjunctions land in it — the Sun with Saturn at 10:48 pm on Wednesday 7 April and debilitated Mercury with Saturn at 6:33 pm on Monday 19 April. Home, land, a vehicle or a parent is where the month presses, and the first week is the hardest of it.
Then two repairs, both dated. The exalted Sun enters your fifth house at 3:23 pm on Wednesday 14 April, ending Meena Kharmas at the same instant, and exalted Venus enters your fourth at 3:16 pm on Thursday 15 April — the first Thursday after your ruler’s station and the first of sixteen consecutive open days. That Thursday is the best-aligned day April gives you, and Guru worship on it is the reading’s central instruction.
The larger frame is the end date. Saturn leaves your fourth house for your fifth on Thursday 3 June 2027, and Kantaka Shani ends there — with the exalted Sun crossing that fifth house from 14 April serving as a preview of the territory Saturn will occupy next. All of this is sign-level; which of the nine Sagittarius padas holds your natal Moon, and where Jupiter and Saturn sit in your own chart, decide how much of it you feel. For more, read March’s reading, what Dhanu Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our Shani transit page.
A ruler’s station in the eighth house is worth reading against your own chart
Whether Guru-Chandal on 20 April touches your natal Jupiter, and what Kantaka Shani has actually been costing you, needs the birth chart rather than the Moon sign.
