Cancer Rashifal September 2027 (Karka Rashi): Ketu Sits on Your Sign and Rahu on Your Seventh for All Thirty Days

Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji

Ketu is in Cancer for the whole of September 2027, moving from 15°45′ to 14°09′ of Pushya — and Cancer is your sign. Rahu is exactly opposite, at the same degrees of Capricorn, in your seventh house. The nodal axis therefore lies precisely along the line from you to whoever stands across from you, for all thirty days.

That is the month’s defining structure, and it has one very particular consequence for Karka Rashi that it has for no other sign. The Moon rules Cancer, and the Moon comes home once a month. In September it arrives at 8:52 am on Saturday 25 September and leaves at 10:33 am on Monday 27 September — forty-nine hours forty-one minutes — and it spends the whole of that stay in the company of Ketu, crossing Ketu’s own degree roughly midway, on the 26th.

September also has a general property worth knowing before the detail: it contains no exact conjunctions at all, after eight in August. Nothing in the sky comes to a point this month. For Karka that is a mercy, because the axis on your first and seventh houses works by slow subtraction rather than by sudden events.

Ketu on the Rashi, Rahu on the Seventh

Ketu on the janma rashi is the classical signature for detachment from oneself: a diminished appetite for your own plans, a sense of going through motions that used to matter, an unexpected indifference to something you fought for last year. It is not misfortune. Ketu removes rather than damages, and what it removes is usually identification.

Rahu opposite, in the seventh, does the reverse from the other end. It magnifies the other person — the spouse, the business partner, the client — and makes their wants louder than yours. Put together across thirty days, the axis produces a recognisable month: you want less, they want more, and it is easy to mistake that for agreement.

The remedy is not to resist either end but to keep a record. Write down what you want at the start of the month and read it again at the end. Both nodes are in retrograde motion by nature, and both drift backwards through the month by one degree thirty-six minutes — Ketu from 15°45′ to 14°09′ of Pushya pada 4, Rahu across the same arc of Shravana. See our Rahu-Ketu remedies and Kaal Sarp Dosh pages.

Saturn Debilitated in Your Tenth

Saturn spends all thirty days in Aries, the sign of its debilitation, retrograde on every one of them, drifting from 3°13′ back to 1°30′ of Ashwini. For Karka Rashi that is your tenth house of career, authority and public standing — and Saturn is the natural lord of that house for everyone.

A weakened Saturn in the tenth reads as effort that does not convert. The work gets done; the recognition arrives late or goes to someone else; a decision that should have been made above you is deferred again. Retrograde makes it recursive — the same review, the same approval, the same conversation, twice.

Saturn also rules your seventh and eighth houses, so its condition matters more to you than to most signs. With Rahu already in that seventh house, September asks Karka natives to be unusually literal in agreements: written terms, named dates, stated amounts. Vague understanding is what fails this month, not goodwill. See our Shani remedies and Shani dosh pages.

Jupiter Becomes Visible in Your Second House

The best news of the month is dated. Jupiter has been behind the Sun since 16 August; Guru asta ends on 15 September, and Jupiter becomes visible again in Leo — your second house of wealth, speech, food and family. It stays there all month, running 13°33′ to 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni.

Jupiter is the great benefic and the second house is where its blessing shows up as money and as the ability to say the right thing. A month of invisibility ending there means the second half of September is materially and verbally easier than the first: the conversation you have been avoiding goes better after the 15th than before it, and so does the request for money.

September opens with three planets in that second house — the Sun in its own sign, Venus, and Jupiter. Then it thins: Venus leaves at 2:36 pm on Thursday 9 September, the Sun at 2:04 pm on Friday 17 September, and Jupiter holds the house alone for the last fortnight, visible.

Your Third House Fills, and the Month Ends There

Virgo is your third house of siblings, courage, effort and short journeys, and it collects everything the second house drops. Mercury is already there and exalted until 6:15 pm on Tuesday 21 September; Venus arrives debilitated on the 9th; the Sun arrives on the 17th with Kanya Sankranti; and the New Moon forms there at 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September at 12°30′ of Hasta pada 1.

The third house is upachaya — a growth house — and it is the one place where sheer effort pays. With Ketu flattening your motivation on the rashi itself, a well-populated third house is exactly the compensation you need: do things because they are the next thing, not because you feel like them. An exalted Mercury there for three weeks is unusually good for writing, negotiation and paperwork.

The Full Moon, by contrast, falls in your eighth house — at 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September, 28°36′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada pada 3, with the Moon two hours forty minutes from leaving that sign. An eighth-house Full Moon brings something hidden to full light: a joint account, an inheritance question, a medical result, a thing someone had not told you. The two lunations bracket Pitru Paksha exactly — fourteen days and three and a half hours from one to the other.

The Month’s Fixed Points

  • Wednesday 1 September — Ketu at 15°45′ of Pushya on your sign, Rahu at the same degree of Shravana in your seventh; three planets in your second house; Saturn debilitated and retrograde in your tenth, and retrograde every day this month.
  • Friday 3 September, 4:44 pm — Mars enters Swati in your fourth house. Hartalika Teej falls on Friday 3 September.
  • Saturday 4 September — Ganesh Chaturthi. That day’s panchang.
  • Monday 6 September, 12:12 pm — Mercury enters Hasta in your third house, still exalted; Venus enters Uttara Phalguni at 10:07 pm.
  • Thursday 9 September, 2:36 pm — Venus leaves your second house for your third and is debilitated there for the rest of the month. Panchang for the day.
  • Tuesday 14 September, 3:56 am — the Sun enters Uttara Phalguni in your second house. Anant Chaturdashi falls on Tuesday 14 September.
  • Wednesday 15 September — Guru asta ends: Jupiter becomes visible again in your second house after a month behind the Sun. Pitru Paksha begins on Wednesday 15 September.
  • Thursday 16 September, 4:33 am — the Full Moon forms in your eighth house at 28°36′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada pada 3; the Moon leaves that sign at 7:13 am. Panchang for the day.
  • Friday 17 September, 2:04 pm — Kanya Sankranti: the Sun enters Virgo and your third house. Shukra asta ends the same day, so Venus becomes visible — debilitated. Venus enters Hasta at 3:57 pm.
  • Tuesday 21 September, 6:15 pm — Mercury leaves your third house for your fourth and loses its exaltation.
  • Thursday 23 September, 2:51 pm — Mars enters Vishakha in your fourth house.
  • Saturday 25 September, 8:52 am — the Moon arrives on Karka Rashi for forty-nine hours forty-one minutes, with Ketu already standing there; it crosses Ketu’s degree on the 26th. Panchang for that day.
  • Monday 27 September, 10:33 am — the Moon leaves your sign; the Sun enters Hasta at 7:29 pm.
  • Thursday 30 September, 8:06 am — the New Moon forms in your third house at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1. Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on Thursday 30 September. Sharad Navratri begins on Thursday 30 September. Panchang for the day.

Week by Week

Thirty days running Wednesday to Thursday. Five Wednesdays and five Thursdays; four each of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Monday is the Moon’s day and your sign’s day, and September gives you only four — the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th, the last of them the morning the Moon leaves your sign.

1–7 September

Your second house is at its fullest — the Sun in its own sign, Venus, and a still-invisible Jupiter. Mars enters Swati in your fourth at 4:44 pm on Friday the 3rd, and Mercury enters Hasta in your third at 12:12 pm on Monday the 6th. Hartalika Teej falls on Friday 3 September. Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Saturday 4 September. A good week for family and food, a poor one for asking for money — Jupiter is still behind the Sun.

8–14 September

Venus crosses into your third house at 2:36 pm on Thursday the 9th, debilitated for the rest of the month. The Sun enters Uttara Phalguni at 3:56 am on Tuesday the 14th. Anant Chaturdashi falls on Tuesday 14 September. This is the flattest week of the month — Ketu on your sign, Jupiter invisible, Saturn retrograde in your tenth. Do maintenance work and expect little response.

15–21 September

Everything turns in this one week. Jupiter becomes visible in your second house on Wednesday the 15th; the Full Moon forms in your eighth at 4:33 am on Thursday the 16th; Kanya Sankranti moves the Sun into your third house at 2:04 pm on Friday the 17th and Venus becomes visible the same day; Mercury’s exaltation ends at 6:15 pm on Tuesday the 21st. Pitru Paksha begins on Wednesday 15 September. Ask for what you need after the 15th, not before.

22–28 September

The Moon comes home. It arrives on Karka at 8:52 am on Saturday the 25th and leaves at 10:33 am on Monday the 27th, and it passes over Ketu on the 26th — the one date this month when the flat feeling has a specific cause. Mars enters Vishakha in your fourth at 2:51 pm on Thursday the 23rd; the Sun enters Hasta at 7:29 pm on Monday the 27th; Venus enters Chitra at 9:34 am and Mercury enters Swati at 5:22 pm on Tuesday the 28th. Rest on the 26th if you can.

29–30 September

The New Moon forms in your third house at 8:06 am on Thursday the 30th at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1 — the same instant that closes Pitru Paksha and opens Sharad Navratri. Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on Thursday 30 September. A third-house lunation is a beginning made of effort rather than inspiration, which is the right kind for this particular month.

Career and Money for Karka Rashi

Career is the month’s weak point and the reason is single: a debilitated, retrograde Saturn standing in your tenth house for all thirty days, with no planet to help it and no exact aspect anywhere in the month to force a resolution. Expect effort without conversion, approvals that come back for a second signature, and recognition that lands elsewhere. The correct response is documentation rather than protest. See our career remedies page.

Money is better, and it has a date. Jupiter sits in your second house of wealth all month and becomes visible on 15 September — so the second half is the half in which financial conversations work. Put the salary discussion, the invoice, the loan application, or the family money question after the 15th. Before it, Jupiter cannot be seen and neither can your case.

Two cautions. Venus is debilitated from the 9th to the end of the month, so anything bought for appearance will be regretted; and the Full Moon of the 16th falls in your eighth house, which is where joint money, tax, insurance and inheritance live. If something in that category has been quietly unresolved, the middle of the month is when it surfaces. See our financial remedies page.

Home, Family and Partnership

Partnership carries the month’s real work, because Rahu is in your seventh house for all thirty days and Saturn, that house’s lord, is debilitated and retrograde. Rahu in the seventh inflates the other person’s importance and their demands; a weak seventh lord means the structure meant to hold the relationship — agreement, commitment, contract — is not carrying much. Be explicit. Written terms, stated amounts, named dates. See our marriage delay page.

The formal wedding calendar is shut in any case: Chaturmas runs through September and the season does not reopen until Devuthani Ekadashi in November. Both benefics come out of combustion mid-month, which helps engagements and family discussions without opening a muhurat. See the marriage muhurat page for September 2027.

Home itself is quiet. Libra is your fourth house and holds Mars for all thirty days — energy in the household, occasionally friction, and a good month for repairs and for physically moving things. Mercury joins it after the 21st, which turns the same energy into planning. If a property matter is live, the griha pravesh page for September 2027 and the business and property page set out the formal dates.

Health

Ketu on the janma rashi is the transit most likely to produce a complaint that resists diagnosis — low energy, vague digestive trouble, a sense of not being fully present. It rarely indicates anything serious, but it does reliably reduce the will to look after yourself, which for Karka natives usually shows up as irregular meals. Your sixth house of illness is Sagittarius, empty all month, which is genuinely reassuring.

Two dates to plan around. The Full Moon of 4:33 am on 16 September in your eighth house is when a test result or a long-postponed check-up tends to surface; do not put a scheduled appointment after it if you can put it before. And your Chandra window — 8:52 am on 25 September to 10:33 am on 27 September, forty-nine hours forty-one minutes — is your best stretch for rest, with the caveat that the Moon crosses Ketu inside it on the 26th, so expect the sleep to be deep rather than refreshing. Brahma muhurta on the 25th and 27th are the two best mornings in it.

Remedies for Karka Rashi in September 2027

Four conditions define the month: Ketu on your sign and Rahu in your seventh for all thirty days; Saturn debilitated and retrograde in your tenth house; Jupiter becoming visible in your second house on the 15th; and the Moon coming home on the 25th to a sign Ketu already occupies — in a month with no exact conjunctions at all.

  • Write down what you want on the 1st and read it on the 30th: the single most useful practice for a Ketu-on-the-rashi month, because the transit removes your attachment to your own aims without announcing that it has.
  • Nodal practice through the month: Ketu on the sign and Rahu opposite is the axis of self and other. Sesame, a coconut given to flowing water, and Ganesha before any negotiation. See Ketu remedies, Rahu remedies and the Rahu-Ketu page.
  • Put every financial and family conversation after 15 September: Jupiter sits in your second house all month and becomes visible on that date. This is the clearest scheduling instruction on this page.
  • Chandra practice on the four Mondays — 6, 13, 20 and 27 September: the Moon rules your sign, and the 27th is the morning it leaves it. White, rice, water, and something offered to Shiva. See strengthening a weak Moon and Monday fasting.
  • Shani observance on the four Saturdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 September: Saturn is debilitated and retrograde in your tenth house and also rules your seventh and eighth, so its condition reaches further into your chart than most. Sesame oil, black til, mustard oil to a peepal after sundown. See Shani remedies and Saturday fasting.
  • Insist on written terms in every partnership matter: Rahu in the seventh with a debilitated retrograde seventh lord is the specific configuration in which a verbal understanding turns out to have been two different understandings.
  • Tarpan in Pitru Paksha, 15 to 30 September: the fortnight sits exactly between the month’s two lunations, and it opens with a Full Moon in your eighth house — the house of ancestry and inheritance. See our pitra dosh page.

In Summary

For Karka Rashi, September 2027 is a month lived along one line. Ketu sits on your sign from 15°45′ down to 14°09′ of Pushya, and Rahu sits exactly opposite in your seventh house across the same arc of Shravana, for all thirty days. You will want less than usual and the people across from you will want more, and the month’s work is not to confuse the two.

The single most distinctive event is the Moon coming home. It arrives on Karka at 8:52 am on Saturday 25 September and leaves at 10:33 am on Monday 27 September — forty-nine hours forty-one minutes — and it crosses Ketu’s degree on the 26th. No other sign gets its own ruler and the node it must pass in the same forty-nine hours.

The difficulty is a debilitated retrograde Saturn in your tenth house of career for the whole month; the relief is dated to 15 September, when Jupiter becomes visible in your second house of wealth and speech. The Full Moon of 4:33 am on the 16th lights your eighth house and opens Pitru Paksha; the New Moon of 8:06 am on the 30th closes it in your third house at the instant Sharad Navratri begins. And the sky holds no exact conjunctions at all this month, after eight in August. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Karka padas holds your natal Moon, and where the nodes and Saturn sit in your own chart, decide how much of it reaches you. For more, read August’s reading, what Karka Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our Kaal Sarp Dosh page.

The nodal axis across your first and seventh houses

Whether Ketu on the rashi reads as useful detachment or as thirty days of drift depends on which of your padas holds the natal Moon and where the nodes fall in your own chart — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
