Gemini Rashifal September 2027 (Mithuna Rashi): Your Ruler Spends Twenty Days Exalted in Your Fourth House
Published 2026-08-22 | Live Pandit Ji
Mercury rules Mithuna Rashi, and Mercury is exalted in Virgo. Virgo is your fourth house. September 2027 opens with your ruler already sitting there at its own maximum strength, and it stays until 6:15 pm on Tuesday 21 September — twenty days and eighteen hours of exalted Mercury in the house of home, mother and land.
That is the whole month for Gemini, and the rest of the sky agrees with it rather than fighting it. Saturn is debilitated and retrograde for all thirty days, but it is in Aries — your eleventh house, an upachaya house, the one position in which a difficult planet does least damage and can even produce gain. And the month’s closing lunation, the New Moon of 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September, forms in that same fourth house.
One more structural fact defines the month for every sign, and it suits Mithuna particularly well: September 2027 contains no exact conjunctions at all. August had eight. Nothing collides. For an air sign that thinks best when the room is not shouting, a month with no exact aspects and an exalted ruler is close to ideal working conditions.
Twenty Days of Exalted Mercury, and Where It Goes Next
Mercury covers 36.82° in September — from 1°29′ of Uttara Phalguni to 8°18′ of Swati — which is the most ground any planet covers this month. Inside the exalted stretch it crosses two nakshatras: Hasta at 12:12 pm on Monday 6 September and Chitra at 3:40 am on Thursday 16 September.
Hasta is Mercury’s own nakshatra, and an exalted Mercury in its own nakshatra in the fourth house is the single strongest configuration September offers Mithuna. That is the ten days between the 6th and the 16th. If you need to sign a property document, negotiate a lease, settle an inheritance question, or simply write down clearly what you want your home to be, it is that stretch.
Then Mercury leaves Virgo at 6:15 pm on the 21st for Libra, your fifth house, and loses the exaltation — but arrives in a sign it gets on with, and joins Mars, which has been alone there all month. Mercury in the fifth is for teaching, writing, speculation and children’s education. September gives you eight days of it, and Mercury enters Swati there at 5:22 pm on Tuesday 28 September.
Note the Wednesdays. September has five — the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th — and Mercury is exalted on the first three of them and in Libra on the last two. See our Budh remedies and Wednesday observance pages.
Saturn Where a Malefic Belongs
Saturn spends the whole month in Aries at its weakest — debilitated, and retrograde on every one of the thirty days, drifting backwards from 3°13′ to 1°30′ of Ashwini. For most signs that is the difficulty of the month. For Mithuna it is close to harmless, because Aries is your eleventh house.
The classical rule is worth stating properly: the three upachaya houses — the third, the sixth and the eleventh — are where malefics do their least damage and often their most good, and the eleventh is the house of income, gains, elder siblings and networks. Saturn there is the transit for slow, unglamorous accumulation and for support from older people in your circle. Debilitated, it is less effective; retrograde, it revisits the same ground. But it is not doing harm to your health, your home or your marriage, because it is not standing in those houses.
The practical reading is that gains in September are real but slower than they look, and that anything promised by a network or a group takes longer to arrive than you were told. Do not read delay as refusal.
Your Third House Empties Into Your Fourth
Leo is your third house of siblings, courage, short journeys and communication, and September begins with three planets in it: the Sun in its own sign, Venus, and Jupiter for all thirty days. Then it drains into the fourth: Venus crosses at 2:36 pm on Thursday 9 September, the Sun at 2:04 pm on Friday 17 September. From the 17th, Jupiter holds the third alone.
Jupiter’s date inside that is the 15th, when Guru asta ends and it becomes visible again after a month behind the Sun. A visible Jupiter in the third house supports exactly what Gemini does anyway — speaking, writing, teaching, and the relationship with a sibling. It runs 13°33′ to 19°58′ of Purva Phalguni, never leaving that house.
What arrives in your fourth house is mixed. Venus gets there debilitated, and although Shukra asta ends on 17 September so that it becomes visible, it stays debilitated to the end of the month — which for the fourth house means a temptation to spend on the home for appearance rather than use. The Sun arriving on the 17th is stronger and more straightforward: it lights the house up and puts your attention there.
A Ninth-House Full Moon and a Fourth-House New Moon
The month’s two lunations fall in the two houses of belief and belonging. The Full Moon forms at 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September at 28°36′ of Aquarius, in Purva Bhadrapada pada 3 — your ninth house of dharma, teachers, father and long journeys. It arrives with the Moon two hours forty minutes from leaving that sign.
Then the New Moon forms at 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1 — in your fourth house, in Mercury’s own nakshatra, in the sign of your ruler’s exaltation. That is the single best beginning the month offers you, and it lands on the last day.
The two lunations bracket Pitru Paksha exactly: from 4:33 am on the 16th to 8:06 am on the 30th is fourteen days and three and a half hours, and that is the whole ancestral fortnight. A ninth-house Full Moon opening the pitru fortnight is apt for Mithuna, since the ninth house is the father’s house. And the New Moon instant is simultaneously where Sarva Pitru Amavasya ends and Sharad Navratri begins — one moment on the clock, not three. See our pitra dosh page.
The Month’s Fixed Points
- Wednesday 1 September — Mercury already exalted at 1°29′ of Uttara Phalguni in your fourth house; three planets in your third; Saturn debilitated and retrograde in your eleventh, and retrograde every day this month.

Week by Week
Thirty days running Wednesday to Thursday. Five Wednesdays and five Thursdays; four each of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Mercury rules your sign and rules Wednesday, and it is exalted on the first three of the month’s five Wednesdays.
1–7 September
The strongest week of the year for your ruler begins. Mercury is exalted in your fourth house from the first day and enters its own nakshatra, Hasta, at 12:12 pm on Monday the 6th. Mars enters Swati in your fifth at 4:44 pm on Friday the 3rd. Hartalika Teej falls on Friday 3 September. Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Saturday 4 September. Start the property or family matter now rather than researching it.
8–14 September
Venus crosses into your fourth house at 2:36 pm on Thursday the 9th, debilitated, and stays that way. This is the week to decide on the home rather than to furnish it — a weak Venus in the fourth spends on the visible and neglects the structural. The Sun enters Uttara Phalguni at 3:56 am on Tuesday the 14th. Anant Chaturdashi falls on Tuesday 14 September. Your exalted Mercury is still the best tool you have; use it on documents.
15–21 September
The month’s pivot. Jupiter comes out of combustion in your third house on Wednesday the 15th; Mercury enters Chitra at 3:40 am on Thursday the 16th and the Full Moon forms in your ninth house at 4:33 am the same morning; Kanya Sankranti brings the Sun into your fourth house at 2:04 pm on Friday the 17th, the day Venus also becomes visible. Pitru Paksha begins on Wednesday 15 September. Then at 6:15 pm on Tuesday the 21st the exaltation ends. Finish what needs an exalted Mercury before that hour.
22–28 September
Mercury and Mars are together in your fifth house now, and the Moon arrives on Mithuna at 5:32 am on Thursday the 23rd for fifty-one hours twenty minutes, with Mars entering Vishakha at 2:51 pm the same day. The Sun enters Hasta at 7:29 pm on Monday the 27th; Venus enters Chitra at 9:34 am and Mercury enters Swati at 5:22 pm on Tuesday the 28th. Use the Moon’s window on the 23rd and 24th for anything personal, and the fifth-house pair for teaching, writing or a child’s schooling.
29–30 September
The New Moon forms at 8:06 am on Thursday the 30th at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1 — your fourth house, your ruler’s exaltation sign, your ruler’s own nakshatra. Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on Thursday 30 September. Sharad Navratri begins on Thursday 30 September. Begin the home-related thing on that day and let October carry it.
Career and Money for Mithuna Rashi
Your tenth house is Pisces, empty all month, and its lord Jupiter sits in your third — combust until the 15th and visible after. So career in September moves through communication rather than through position: the email that lands, the presentation given, the sibling or colleague who opens a door. Nothing is handed to you by rank this month; things arrive because you explained them well. The week of the 15th, when Jupiter becomes visible, is when that begins to work. See our career remedies page.
Money is the eleventh house’s business, and yours holds a debilitated retrograde Saturn for all thirty days. Read that as gain that is real but slow, and as older commitments returning for a second look. Income does not fail in an upachaya transit; it just takes longer and asks for more paperwork. Your exalted Mercury is the answer to the paperwork — do the accounts in the first three weeks.
The one caution is the debilitated Venus in your fourth house from the 9th. Venus rules your fifth and your twelfth, so a weak Venus in the home house pulls money towards comfort, decoration and short-term pleasure. If a large domestic purchase is in question, the fourth-house New Moon of the 30th is a better place to begin than the middle of the month. See our financial remedies page.
Home, Family and Partnership
Home is the whole story. Your fourth house holds your exalted ruler for twenty days, receives Venus on the 9th and the Sun on the 17th, and takes the New Moon on the 30th. September for Mithuna is the month when the question of where and how you live gets answered. The griha pravesh page for September 2027 and the business and property page set out which formal dates exist and which do not.
Partnership is quiet but not adverse. Your seventh house is Sagittarius, empty all month, ruled by Jupiter in your third — so conversations, not events. Jupiter emerging from combustion on the 15th makes the second half of the month easier for family discussion and for anything that needs an elder’s blessing. The formal wedding calendar stays shut: Chaturmas runs through September and the season does not reopen until Devuthani Ekadashi in November. See the marriage muhurat page for September 2027 and our marriage delay page.
Children get the last ten days. Mars is alone in your fifth house all month — energetic, occasionally sharp with a child — and Mercury joins it on the 21st, which softens the tone and turns it into study and discussion. If a school or course decision is pending, the 21st onwards is the better half.
Health
September is structurally mild for Mithuna. Your sixth house of illness is Scorpio, empty all thirty days, and the month’s malefics are placed away from the houses of the body: Saturn in the eleventh, Mars in the fifth, Rahu in the eighth and Ketu in the second. With no exact conjunctions anywhere in the month, there is no sharp pressure point either.
What to watch instead is the nervous system, which is Mercury’s domain and Gemini’s standing weakness. An exalted Mercury raises mental speed; it does not raise sleep. The classical Mithuna complaints — the chest and lungs, the arms and shoulders, and restlessness that keeps you up — are all aggravated by doing too much simply because you can. Your Chandra window is 5:32 am on 23 September to 8:52 am on 25 September, fifty-one hours twenty minutes; brahma muhurta on the 24th and 25th are the month’s two best mornings for anything restorative.
Remedies for Mithuna Rashi in September 2027
Four conditions define the month: your ruler exalted in your fourth house until 6:15 pm on 21 September; Saturn debilitated and retrograde in your eleventh house, the least harmful placement it has; Jupiter becoming visible in your third house on the 15th; and a New Moon in your fourth house on the 30th, in a month with no exact conjunctions at all.
- Do the fourth-house work before 21 September: the exalted Mercury is the month’s real gift, and the ten days from the 6th to the 16th — exalted, in its own nakshatra Hasta — are its strongest stretch. Documents, leases, family agreements, written decisions about the home.
- Budh practice on the five Wednesdays — 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 September: exalted on the first three, in Libra on the last two. Green moong, green cloth, Ganesha, and something written by hand. See Budh remedies and Wednesday observance.
- Treat delayed gains as delayed, not denied: a debilitated retrograde Saturn in the eleventh house slows income and revisits old commitments. Follow up twice rather than concluding once.
- Guru practice on the five Thursdays — 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 September: Jupiter is in your third house all month, combust on the first two Thursdays and visible on the last three. Chana dal, turmeric, yellow cloth, and something taught. See Guru remedies and Thursday fasting.
- Hold the domestic purchase for the 30th: Venus is debilitated in your fourth house from the 9th to the end of the month, and the fourth-house New Moon on the 30th is a better beginning than the weeks before it.
- Shani observance on the four Saturdays — 4, 11, 18 and 25 September: not because Saturn threatens you this month, but because it is at its weakest and sits in your house of income. Sesame oil, black til, service to someone older. See Shani remedies and Saturday fasting.
- Protect sleep in the third week: the 15th to the 21st carries five separate events, and an exalted Mercury will let you work through all of them. Brahma muhurta on the 24th and 25th, inside your Chandra window, is where to recover.
In Summary
For Mithuna Rashi, September 2027 is the most favourable month of the season, and the reason is arithmetical rather than atmospheric. Mercury rules your sign, Mercury is exalted in Virgo, and Virgo is your fourth house — so your ruler sits at maximum strength in the house of home from the first day of the month until 6:15 pm on Tuesday 21 September, twenty days and eighteen hours. It crosses into its own nakshatra Hasta at 12:12 pm on 6 September, which is the strongest ten-day stretch inside that.
The month’s one weak planet is placed where it matters least. Saturn is debilitated and retrograde for all thirty days, but in your eleventh house — an upachaya house, the classical best position for a malefic. Meanwhile your third house begins with three planets and keeps Jupiter, which comes out of a month’s combustion on 15 September. And the sky offers no exact conjunctions at all this month, after eight in August.
The month closes better than it opens. The Full Moon of 4:33 am on Thursday 16 September falls in your ninth house and opens Pitru Paksha; the New Moon of 8:06 am on Thursday 30 September falls in your fourth house at 12°30′ of Virgo, in Hasta pada 1, at the instant Sharad Navratri begins. All of this is sign-level. Which of the nine Mithuna padas holds your natal Moon, where Mercury sits in your own chart, and which dasha is running decide how much of an exalted ruler actually reaches you. For more, read August’s reading, what Mithuna Rashi settles and what the pada decides, and our page on Mercury in Vedic astrology.
Twenty days of an exalted ruler — in whose fourth house?
An exalted Mercury in the fourth house reads very differently depending on which of your padas holds the natal Moon, where Mercury sits in your own chart, and whether a Budh dasha is running — a sign-level reading cannot settle that.
