The relationship runs both ways: the Sun counts Mars a friend, and Mars counts the Sun a friend. A mutual reading is the simpler case — the graha and its host agree about each other, so the placement does not change character depending on which of the two is stronger.

Reading the Sun in Aries

The Sun signifies father, government, authority, the soul (atma), medicine, administration.
