Aries Ascendant: The Twelve Houses and Their Lords
The houses here are whole signs. With Aries rising, Aries is the 1st house, Taurus the 2nd, and so on round to Pisces as the 12th; the lord of each house is the ruler of its sign. Which Graha Holds What for Aries Ascendant
- Sun: the 5th.
- Moon: the 4th.
- Mars: the 1st and 8th.
- Mercury: the 3rd and 6th.
- Jupiter: the 9th and 12th.
- Venus: the 2nd and 7th.
- Saturn: the 10th and 11th.
For Aries ascendant no graha holds a kendra and a trikona other than the 1st together. The three dusthanas, the 6th, 8th and 12th, are held by Mars, Mercury and Jupiter. Rahu and Ketu lord no house in this scheme for any ascendant.
